We had a really great time at Rathauskeller. It’s a proper German restaurant, exactly what you hope for when eating in Bavaria.
The food was very, very tasty. The pork knuckle was excellent, and the schnitzel was also really good. Even the fries stood out, which is not always the case. Everything we ordered was spot on, from start to finish. We also enjoyed the wine, which was better than expected for this kind of traditional place.
The restaurant is set in a big hall with lots of people, so it does get quite noisy, but that’s part of the experience. It really feels like a classic German beer hall—lively, busy, and full of atmosphere.
The waiters were very kind and friendly, which made the evening even better. And to finish on a high note, the desserts were delicious as well.
All in all, a great place for traditional German food, a warm atmosphere, and a real local experience. Definitely worth a visit.
