Raven Rock Mountain

Each visit seems like a transformative journey from mountain air, fires and sunsets through rugged elegance with artisan touches plus unique, hot hot sauna to mountain spring-water fed cold plunge. A massage treatment (compliments of Jen)! Every cell of my body was screaming thank you, thank you for this healing experience. Doug and Jen are super hosts that meticulously curated this magical spot that we had the privilege to savor. You have to see it, to believe it. Outdoors at its best near the charming towns of Hendersonville and Brevard. Once you visit, you’ll want to return and perhaps experience one of the other unique cabins. (We’ve stayed at Cliffside and the Great Divide). Kudos to Doug & Jen for creating this truly magical setting!

This place was absolutely breathtaking . We were blessed to get married at the Cliffside Cabin, and it could not have been a more perfect setting.~ like a storybook. The cabin being built right on a rock makes it feel so unique and magical, with stunning views. Finding out it was as featured in TobyMac’s song Cornerstone made it even more meaningful ~ our marriage truly was built on a rock. The owners were fabulous—kind, responsive, and genuinely caring, which made our stay even more special and stress-free. Jen even helped us by serving as a witness for our intimate elopement. This location will forever hold a place in our hearts, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable experience.

We, an active Swedish family of four, absolutely loved our time at Ravenrock Mountain. The Skyscraper Tree House exceeded our expectations — stunning design, spotless, cozy, and incredible views! It was the perfect balance of relaxation and outdoor fun; we enjoyed running on the property, yoga and cozy evenings by the fire stove under the cabin. Jen and Doug are amazing hosts and made us feel right at home. A peaceful, stylish getaway that’s still close to great food, hikes, and things to do. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend, we love it !

My kids and I were looking for a local getaway/ adventure and we found it!!! Our minds were blown by the magical setting, the coziness of our cabin and the thoughtful and creative conjurings of Raven Rock. The attention to detail amidst such a phenomenally beautiful setting was a thrilling escape.. a picture perfect setting for any gathering. The sauna and cold plunge topped off the experience - beautifully and lovingly constructed !!!!We love Raven Rock and whether you’re local or not- it’s a perfect reset for our all too busy lives.

I really enjoyed my stay at Raven Rock Mountain. The Skyscraper Treehouse was a beautiful adventure. I love mountain tops and the gravel roads that take me there, Raven Rock delivered both. The bed was comfortable and the wood stove was easy to use and kept the December chill away. If you like adventure, outdoors and camping then you’ll love the Skyscraper treehouse. I’m looking forward to staying at Raven Rock again soon.

My husband and I stayed at Raven Rock for five nights as part of our honeymoon, and it was the most peaceful and magical retreat we could have imagined. We split our time between two of the treehouses—the Skyscraper and the Tree Haven—both beautifully designed, immaculately maintained, and full of thoughtful details. Each space felt like a private sanctuary, with serene views, cozy lighting, and exceptionally comfortable beds—we truly slept better than at home! During our stay in Tree Haven, we also had access to a nearby bathhouse with hot showers, which was an added bonus. Most evenings, we built a fire in the provided fire bowls and stargazed— which provided the perfect close to our peaceful mountain days. Raven Rock’s location strikes the perfect balance: completely secluded, yet conveniently close to charming towns. We took short day trips to Hendersonville (25 minutes) and Brevard (45 minutes), enjoying a dose of small-town charm before returning to the calm and quiet of the forest each evening. From morning coffee on the porch to sunset fires, every moment here was restorative. Jen’s hospitality was warm and attentive, and it’s clear how much care goes into this special property. Whether you’re celebrating something or simply need a reset, Raven Rock is a rare gem. We’re already dreaming of a return visit to experience the other two treehouses!

Raven Rock Mountain is a stunning getaway! My husband and I stayed for a night to celebrate my birthday. We were so impressed with the views and the peace and quiet! The drive up the mountain is not for the faint-hearted and requires 4WD. My 04 Ford Escape made it up the steep gravel road just fine.

We got married here 10 years ago and just revisited for our anniversary!! Jen and Doug, the owners, have transformed the mountain into a secluded oasis with unique cabins throughout that are intricately built. We brought our kiddos and stayed in the new Tree Haven Treehouse. The kids loved the bunk beds and the swinging bridges that led to the treehouse. There’s a huge fire pit right across from the cabin next to the bathhouse where you can take a hot shower and do dishes too! Highlight of it all was the sauna and cold plunge just down the mountain a little ways. Overall, the coolest place we have ever stayed. Perfect for a romantic getaway or time with the family away from screens and the busy hustle of everyday life. A truly magical place that is hard to put into words. We can’t wait to visit again!!
