What a wonderful stay! From the moment we walked through the door the experience was exceptional. James and Helena were so kind, they treated us like old friends, with great local recommendations for food and activities. The room was spacious, spotless and very well appointed. Comfortable beds and awesome shower! Breakfast was exceptional, lots of organic and local items and great hot breakfast. I would highly recommend staying at Ravenscraig!

I'd certainly recommend this guest house. We stayed in one of the cabins round the back of the main building. Very warm and comfortable and cleverly designed with its own porch for wet footwear (and dogs!). Its a nice and central location with plenty eating/drinking options within walking distance. No street noise. Breakfast was delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to book again for another Aviemore visit.

Lovely B & B with very friendly owners, clean and comfortable rooms and awesome breakfast. I was on a climbing trip coupled with some interviewing work. Had an early check in to the room and use of their lovely breakfast room for the interview. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

James was very welcoming, we stayed for two nights in room 7. Everything was very clean and as advertised. The bed was very comfortable, nice shower and bathroom etc. The room warms up very quickly with the radiator on. I had full Scottish breakfast and my wife had poached eggs on toast, both excellent and tasty. There are cereals, fresh fruit, berries, yogurt, orange juice, coffee and tea available too. I would highly recommend staying here, good room and lovely breakfasts with a warm welcome.

This place deserves every excellent review it has received. Best Scottish breakfast and a variety of choices. Cozy, sufficiently spacious and very well warmed rooms. A nice common room where one can enjoy the cracking fire, read a book and plan a day of walking. Overall throughout the property one can see the owners and the staff running the place know what the word “hospitality” means.

What a magical place to rest and restore while adventuring and exploring. Helena and her team are SO kind, gracious and helpful. The cabin is cozy, comfortable and plenty of pillows and a wonderful mattress. A spot to sit outside and sip a cu of tea or glass|of wine.....Everything in town is within walking distance. Breakfast options are plenty and scrumptious! I already wish we stayed another night.... or two or three or more!

Good B&B. Friendly hosts and staff. Room nice and clean and warm. Great bed and bed linen . The room had two seats to relax in which is more than most.|Breakfast well prepared and good choice, they even laid on a winter wonderland of snow! Good parking on site. Restaurants nearby offering good quality evening food and drink.|Reasonably priced we will be back there again.

We stayed in one of the cabin/chalets, which are located right behind the main building. The room was clean and comfortable. Beds comfortable. Breakfast was full service with a handful of hot meal options to choose from, along with a small continental breakfast bar options (cereal, fresh fruit, juices). The chalets were very quiet and peaceful. The staff was very nice & we were able to check in early by chance. The hotel is 0.6 mi from the train station - fine for on foot walking, but we opted for the buses for when transporting our roller luggage (use the Stagecoach app to check for bus times & route options - a bus DOES go into the national park). There are a few restaurants very close by that were good and a few more closer into town. There are laundry facilities on site - 10 pounds per load during our stay. Would definitely stay here again!!

Yelp
Very nice accommodation with modern rooms and very good breakfast. The owners changed in December 17 (I don't know the previous) and are really friendly, welcoming, warm-hearted people. A family with a cat. Would come here for a second stay.

Yelp
Pretty much regulars here now when me and the Man come up here. 1) I love the poached eggs with bacon on muffins for breakfast OR 2) the full scottish if I'm feeling rather peckish! 3) The Back cabins are my first choice - no creeky floor boards and a really spacious bathroom. The Staff are super friendly and helpful. if you need help they are more or less easy to get hold of. The back cabins are nice and private. Pretty cosy too. The house is decorated with stunning photographs and artwork of wildlife - always something new that destracts me! It's good value for money and I will be back soon too - oooh it's pretty close walking distance to shops etc!

Yelp
We've stayed a couple of times at Ravenscraig while visiting family who live in Aviemore and on both occasions we've received a very warm welcome from Jonathan. We've just returned from our second stay for two nights and enjoyed it as much, if not more, than our first! Our first stay was in one of the chalets at the back of the property which are probably a little more spacious than one of the front bedrooms we stayed in this time around, but never-the-less, both rooms and en-suites are stylishly decorated, very comfortable, well equipped and very clean. The plus to staying in a room (No.5) at the front of the house is that you get a wonderful view of the Cairngorm Mountains a real treat as the sun sets and also again when you open the blinds first thing in the morning! Beds are not as firm as we'd prefer (personal preference I'm sure many like a slightly softer mattress would have no problem at all), but still comfortable and the bedlinen is good quality which all goes a long way towards a very good night's sleep and a restful stay. Breakfast offers a wide choice great range of cereals, fresh fruit, fruit salad, white & wholemeal toast and Jonathan's homemade marmelade try it, it's truly delicious! We also tried the delicious (and none greasy) full traditional Scottish breakfast (with plenty of flexibility to accomodate all diets and tastes!), Poached eggs (eggs not laid by the chickens in the outside pen, but we were confidently assured were local & free range) and smoked salmon on muffins (a lovely, tasty way to start the day!), alternatively the homemade porridge with berry fruit compote, seeds, honey or plain is also a real treat and will certainly set you up for a day's exploring and activity! The lounge with it's open fire (lit in the colder months), cosy rugs, antique style furniture, plus welcoming resident cat Milly(!), make for a great place to relax and chill out either after breakfast or after a day's skiing, hiking or cycling! Overall a very welcoming place to stay in a charming traditional style house which is very restful and relaxing with delicious breakfasts. You couldn't wish for anymore from a B&B!
