"Relaxed and Casual When I asked friends and locals what their favourite winery was in Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL), I got a unanimous response on Ravine. Everything here is on point: great wine (and I’m kicking myself for not buying any), phenomenal food, and fun programs. Though most wineries close down around 9 or 10, Ravine is open a bit later and has casual bites so you never feel contrived. The food is refined but the atmosphere is not. The wood-fire oven on their patio churns out toasty pizzas for $18 (a great deal when most meals can be quite pricey here). You can play ping pong in front of the vineyard, chill out with your group on the other side of the patio while listening to live music (bonus points for acoustic versions of the Tragically Hip’s “Bobcaygeon”) or dine inside. They also have a grocery store near their farm. Don’t forget to check out the pigs on-site! Food-wise, menus change seasonally. Friends highly recommend the charcuterie. We were fans of the House Pickled Candy Cane Beet Salad (feta, a sweet salmon and marinated quail’s egg); and the flaky pan seared white fish. Served with a mushroom and goat cheese canneloni, this was a nice punch to the lightness of the fish. We were thoroughly impressed. Throughout the summer, there are fantastic events including oyster nights and even geotracking! This was one of my top three wineries in the area and I need to remind myself to buy some of their wine online. It’s that good."

I photographed a fall wedding at Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake and it was such a dream. We did a first look and portraits before the ceremony right among the grapevines—the colours, the light, the views… unreal. Later, we took advantage of the beautiful wine cellar for some moody, romantic couple photos, and the vibe was everything. The staff at Ravine were so lovely to work with—super professional and kind—and the food was just as incredible as you’d expect from a winery wedding (aka so good). The whole day flowed beautifully, and the setting made it easy to create such a stunning gallery for the couple. I’d love to be back here again—this venue is truly something special, especially in the fall.

Beautiful spot! Our first time trying the restaurant today and we were very impressed. The staff are friendly, attentive and hospitable. All the dishes we ordered were phenomenal & high quality ingredients. The server recommended a white wine which we loved and bought two bottles to go as well. Would definitely come back!

Ravine has been a long time family favorite, but our Sunday supper (for my husband's birthday) was one of the most beautiful meals we've had anywhere in some time. We did the three course meal with wine pairings. The two mains were exceptional, a slow braised lamb shank with Cabernet jus, and a gorgeous brined and smoked bone-in pork chop with sauce Robert. The pairings were for those - the Cabernet was great with the lamb and the Gamay opened up beautifully and gained a complexity with the pork that was almost startling. The sides were also wonderful, and were served family style for the table, which was great. The highlight of the meal was the first course: a stunning beef tartare (hand-chopped Ontario beef, black truffle, Dijon, sherry vinegar, egg yolks, walnuts, served with a small salad and grilled sourdough). That tartare was genuinely one of the most wonderful things we've eaten in ages. The grilled sourdough added a gorgeous char that felt "steaky" to the dish too. It was a standout. The Rose paired with it wasn't as successful, but I'm being nit-picky. That tartare is something I'll remember forever, go back for, and send people there for. Ambiance and service were also excellent. Highly recommend.

Wonderful spot for supper and wine. The food and service were great, the views were nice, and the wine was delicious. Super dog-friendly (on the covered patio) and family-friendly. We met the owners and had a delightful conversation. We'll be back!

Ravine Vineyard is one of our favorite spots in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and we make sure to visit every time we’re in the area. Their wines are authentic, beautifully crafted, and absolutely delicious. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or just looking for a great tasting experience, Ravine never disappoints. The wine tasting room has such a warm and cozy atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a glass. The staff is always friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, happy to share insights about their wines and pairings. Another highlight is the charming wine store, where you can pick up bottles to take home, along with a lovely selection of spreads, chutneys, and other gourmet finds. If you’re visiting Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ravine Vineyard is a must-stop for great wine and a welcoming experience!

Google
Ravine is the winery that literally every server at every other winery we visited recommended as our next stop. Luckily we'd already secured a dinner reservation and it was a bit of a revelation. The night we visited they were serving a set menu, a bounty of delicious things that thankfully minimised the decision-making required. All the sides would arrive for the table, so you need only select an appetiser and main and the rest would be sorted for you. The beetroot carpaccio was an absolute highlight, but no dishes missed the mark. Beef short rib that just melted as soon as it touched your mouth, an edamame salad that was surprisingly moreish, fingerling potatoes that I could have eaten three to four more bowls of quite happily. People will come on the wine trail, but honestly the restaurant is the big draw here - get a reservation before you arrive, you don't want to miss out.

Wines are very good! We did the tasting and all the wines were awesome. The service was so nice they even gave us homemade bread baguette. Their wines are on the dry side but very tasty.

Google
Ravine continues to impress with their outstanding commitment to customer service! I recently organized a large customer event and chose Ravine for a wine tasting—and it was a fantastic decision. Our guests were fully engaged during the walking tour, which shared fascinating insights into how and why Ravine crafts their wines. The flight selection stood out from the typical regional offerings, showcasing their passion and creativity. After the tour, everyone enjoyed relaxing on the patio with a glass in hand. It was a memorable experience from start to finish—a great time was had by all!

Yelp
Ravine vineyard is an estate winery that also makes wine using grapes from nearby farms as well. On their campus they also have a small grocery store, restaurant, and event space. We came in October on a Sunday. Reservations for tastings are recommended but not required. We didn't make a reservation and our wait was only 15 minutes. Stephen led our wine tasting and was very friendly and knowledgeable. Their menu features a variety of high quality white and red wines all on the dry and semi-dry side. Their estate grown grapes are grown organically and sustainably. We enjoyed every wine we tried and would love to come back again.

Yelp
Nikki, our wine tour specialist was amazing! She was kind, funny and very knowledgeable. This vineyard has beautiful views, plenty of outdoor seating and a perfect little cafe for sweets, fresh bread and beverages. On their grounds, you will find cute farm animal, flower gardends and an apiary. On your next visit, ask about the history behind Norma Jane blue at Benjamine Moore!

Yelp
Amazing vineyard around NOTL. Staff were friendly and helpful, explained very well each type of wine. Did their tasting with a focus on red wines. Their wines are amazing and bold. This winery has a restaurant and a cute little shop at the back. Before leaving, got a couple bottles and some can of pear cider, which were tasty.

Yelp
We decided to make this one of our winery stops at Niagara-on-the-Lake because it looked beautiful from pictures, and we were right! We did a tasting flight on the patio, and it was so relaxing. The girl helping us was nice, and the wine was great as well. There was also a cider option on the flight, which we ended up loving. We were the only ones there, so it was nice and quiet and super relaxing and peaceful. (Did I mention relaxing?!)

Yelp
I've visited Ravine once before and was treated to a wonderful private dinner in their basement event space. The food was delicious and wine was fabulous too. This most recent trip was no exception. We had a more casual tasting at a high top table under their tent overlooking the vineyard. Ravine is definitely more expensive than other wineries I've been to, but based on my opinion of the wine quality, it's fair. At this spot I tried an unoaked chardonnay (apparently less of the standard chardonnay taste which I don't love so this was a good experiment). It was pretty good! Next I opted for a rose which I found a bit sweet and two reds which I loved. We all really enjoyed the reserve red and took some home to enjoy with dinner.

Yelp
This was my first trip to a winery and I really enjoyed it! We went on the Five Generations Experience and had a lot of fun. Our hostess was personable and knowledgeable and made it a great experience. We sampled four wines that were very nice, and she even taught us how to properly taste wine. As a novice wine drinker I thought this was a great first wine tasting journey and I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a unique adventure. The estate looks amazing so I really enjoyed all the views on our tour. The hostess was happy to take pictures of my partner and I in front of the vines, which I greatly appreciated. At the end of the tour we asked if we could wander the estate some more on our own and she had no objections. It was really peaceful walking through the vineyards together and taking pictures. I recognize the irony in writing so much about taking pictures without attaching any, but we're standing in the way of the scenery in all of them so they are better suited for Instagram than Yelp!

Yelp
The 2017 CPBI (Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute) is having its annual conference in Niagara Falls, ON, this week. Our gala night was held nearby at Ravine Vineyards Estate Winery. We started in the cellar with the tasting of three wines ... a bubbly, a white and a red. All were delicious. You can buy their wines online or onsite along with preserves, cheese, etc. Elisa took us to the vineyards and talked about the vines, grapes, etc. Laura Secord's brother, David's house is where the tastings and store are. There were about 90 of us and we had supper in a cozy tent. There was more wine and appies before supper and the main was braised short rib, which was delicious. It was a fun time and I'd suggest you check out Ravine if you are in the area.

Yelp
Ravine absolutely never disappoints, even during a global pandemic! I had a fantastic lunch at Ravine with my family. I have the penne pasta with mushrooms and chicken, my wife had the butternut squash soup, and my daughter had their legendary burger. The star of the show was the pizza of the day, with bbq sauce, chicken, double smoked bacon and pickled onions. All this great good, and for a very reasonable price, and a great dining experience. I eat here every time we visit Niagara.

Yelp
Unfortunately I have not been to the estate... but their wine.... Undoubtedly some of the the BEST New York State wine I have ever had. Locally only to be compared to Shalstone and Damiani wineries.

Yelp
Friendly staff great wine lovely location. This is it one of your larger vineyards which is what we like it is definitely more intimate. They really sit with you and discuss their wines they are very knowledgeable in this tasting room. We did buy a bottle and probably could've bought 10 more. The great thing is is that you save on your tasting if you buy a bottle. It definitely makes it worth it. They also have a back local store that I highly recommend you visit. We were able to pick up local Canadian maple syrup in a large bottle for a great price. Not to mention all the other goodies that you will discover.

Yelp
Beautiful grounds and atmosphere here. It's definitely a place where you will want to linger. Tasting are done in the barrel room or parlour cellar.  We chose a variety of reds/whites/ for our 4 samples Riesling, chardonnay, cab franc and merlot, rose. I am partial to rose wines so that was the standout for me although the chardonnay was full bodied and had a lingering pineapple finish that was enjoyable. Our dining experience was equally as enjoyable the pizza had a nice char to it and you could taste the fresh quality of the toppings. Overall outstanding quality and the employees friendly and knowledgeable I will be back.

Yelp
We happened upon this winery and I'm SO glad that we did. The tastings are 3 for $8 and the woman who guided us through our tastings was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They also offer a nice special- purchase two bottles of wine and the tasting fee will be waived. They also have a store on site behind the tasting room where they sold preserves, cheeses and many other items. We happened to be there on a Friday which is one of the days they have fresh baked bread and donuts. The aroma as you enter the store is delightful! You have to experience it yourself. Downstairs behind the glass doors there is a room where you'll find many barrels of course but the space can also be rented to host private tasting events. They also cure meats (such as prosciutto) right there in a separate area downstairs. Once again, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable! But more than that, they are friendly and accommodating which will keep you coming back here.

Yelp
This vineyard is a beauty! We came here during the fall and enjoyed the food and the view of the vineyard. I had the burger which was decent, but tasted on the dry side. My friends had the short rib and the duck entree, and generously let me have a bite (or two), and both dishes were amazing! Their house wine paired really well with the dishes, unfortunately are not sold in bottles.

Yelp
Absolutely love this restaurant, especially the patio. The service was great, very friendly and attentive. Food was presented beautifully and they use fresh local farm ingredients. Being outside on a nice sunny day looking onto the vineyard and enjoying a meal here is a great way to spend the weekend.

Yelp
I have been here on multiple occasions and just last week, I got to revisit the winery with a group. We have a luncheon in the private room, which was absolutely lovely. First thing's first: the staff here are on point. They know how to serve and make people feel welcomed and wanted. Plus, they were very knowledgeable about the wines on hand. I mean, I'd hope so! The private room was an old cellar located on the bottom floor of the winery. It housed lots of wine that was being aged and really was a special place for us to have lunch in. It was cozy and dark, fully lit up by candlelight. Now the food was a pre-fixe menu and when I saw what was on offer, I was super excited. But to be honest, I was a little disappointed with what I got. The salad, bland. The fish, overcooked. The dessert: soupy. I've been here to eat (in the restaurant) and have loved every single instance. It was such a disappointment and I'm wondering if because we were a larger group, they couldn't handle the volume? In any case, it was not great. Of course I'll be back because I love Ravine, but this visit made me so sad.

Yelp
A bunch of friends went to NOTL for a relaxing weekend of wine tasting and shopping. We visited 4 wineries in total, and Ravine was my favourite, mostly because of its restaurant, which was absolutely lovely! What is better than enjoying lunch while staring into the beautiful vineyards? I recommend making reservations through opentable ahead of time. I ordered mussels in a white wine sauce, complete with fries. The mussels were delicious, and the rest of the food that my companions ordered looked ravishing as well. On a side note, their coffee was pretty great too! I definitely needed a caffeine kick and the coffee did just that. After a delectable lunch, we headed over to their tasting room for our complimentary tasting (just bring your receipt over and you will receive a free tasting worth $5!). Even though I didn't end up purchasing the wine, I quite enjoyed the tasting experience. All in all, my friends and I had a lovely time at Ravine and I will definitely come back next time I am in NOTL!

Yelp
Beautiful winery - we had lunch in the tent overlooking the vineyard. There was live music and the ambiance was fun! Service was fantastic. Can't wait to return .

Yelp
One of the nicest Sauvignon Blancs I've tasted thus far is from here... Very laid back atmosphere. Didn't do a wine tour, seemed like it would've been a little boring. Try the restaurant - best burger EVER! Who woulda thought, at a winery on the US/Canadian border!

Yelp
Found the bottles of wines to be a bit pricey. But they do have a lovely restaurant overlooking the vineyard.

Yelp
Ravine was recommended to us by a local real estate agent as "da place". To have lunch, that is. On the first visit, we just showed up at the door but they couldn't seat us (dang!) A week later, we made a reservation a day before and showed up there at the exact time. They needed a few minutes to set up our table, so "here a free tasting coupon so why don't you go to this next building and sip some wine while we're fixing you're table?" That's a fine deal by me. The wines were good and the pour was quite generous for the tasting (compared to many other places). Dan, the wine consultant who was helping us, was friendly, knowledgeable, and spot-on with his wine suggestions. 30 minutes or so later, we finally moved to the restaurant. It was almost 2 PM and the place was only half-full. They had some sort of a melt down in the kitchen, which resulted in our food to take a very, very long time to make it to the table. The waiter was very professional at handling the situation. She apologized, kept us informed, served extra breads, and then as an apology, gave us free deserts and another coupon for wine tasting. We had a party of four people, and we were all happy with the food (that is, when it finally came out). Even the most expensive restaurants mess up here and there. The question is, how to they handle that. Ravine gets top marks in that department from me and we plan on visiting them again (those wine coupons will be very handy too).
google avatar

Kat K.

Yelp
Decent experience - overall it was good. The wine is quite good here. If you eat at the restaurant - they throw in a free tasting at the wine boutique next door Highly recommend that you book ahead of time for lunch on OpenTable - since they can fill up for lunch fast. Food is pretty good with prices being what you expect for a restaurant attached to a winery. Around $20 for mains and $10 for apps and/or desserts. There is an emphasis on local and what is in season. Seating wise is a medium to small, definitely recommend that you should sit in the back area facing the vineyard, which adds to the atmosphere.
google avatar

Irina M.

Yelp
Visited this restaurant and winery last weekend. The service is very friendly. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, We knew the restaurant was very popular, so booked the table in advance. The table was not ready when we arrived and we were offered a complementary wine testing. The wine is great! The wine sommelier Dan was very helpful and knowledgeable. The food took a little long to come out, but we had great company, so this wasn't a big issue. The food was delicious. I loved the mushroom and goat cheese tart with duck egg and butter squash soup with sower-cream was divine.

Yelp
This winery is always trying new things. The wood fired pizza wine and brownie pick up during covid was amazing, the wines are delicious and they have cider and Dragon beer. ( A great local brewery.)

Yelp
A local recommended we come here. We showed-up, signed-up for a wine tour, and got on the list for lunch. The wine tour was a little weak. We got to look at the grape vines, then they took us inside and showed us the fermenting vats and some wine barrels. I've done other tours (like Korbel in California), and they were much better. High end food in the restaurant. Pricey. Seemed to be fresh ingredients, grown locally, and pretty good. Not convinced it was worth the price, but it was good. "Grocery" has some nice items (bread, cheese, cookies). They also were pretty good. I didn't try the wines, but my wife did and said they were good (wine tasting was part of the wine tour). Maybe just stick with them next time (if there is a next time).

Yelp
Ravine is a happening place. Serving farm to table fare, and their own wines, it is a place worth trying if you are looking for a good place to eat. It is also a fun place to visit with the vineyards and various buildings. I am sure you will find something in the country store you can't live without. The tasting room was homey, with a lively crowd enjoying the offerings. Now back to the restaurant. I especially liked the made on-site bread - crusty exterior with a chewy interior. The smoked trout with roasted cauliflower was an exceptional start to a good meal. The braised lamb shank was large, tender and flavorful. The Ling Cod must have been caught earlier that day - it was so fresh and light, with subtle delicate flavors. The rhubarb panna cotta was also good. The dining room is ...well, interesting - our waitress called it a build out. There was absolutely no insulation. With the ceiling fan blowing directly overhead, not only was it noisy inside, it was windy/drafty. When we asked to move to another table, the hostess reluctantly agreed to lower the speed on the fan, but refused to let us move to another table. The view of the vineyards was certainly better at the original table but as stated it was windy there. Interesting to note that the other table stayed vacant for the 2 hours we were at the restaurant. The restaurant is also loud with wood and glass - so loud that it was hard to hear and talk to my dinner partners.

Yelp
Cute little winery with a restaurant on the property. They were setting up an ice skating rink too which looked nice. Wine samples are 4 for $8 and when you buy a bottle they take 4 off. So if you buy two the tasting is free. Wines were very tasty and service was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Worth a stop
google avatar

Annie D.

Yelp
This winery has one of the prettiest views. I have been twice, most recently for the Sip and Sizzle event. Tastings are reasonably priced, wines are average. Atmosphere is amazing. Restaurant always seems to be fully booked so have not had a chance to try yet. Recommended to book 2 weeks in advance.
google avatar

Yelp
A must for food and wine. The property is stunning. You are looking into the rolling hills with vineyards all around the staff is VERY VERY well informed with regards to the food and libations and they are very accommodating. They will also help you with their bottle shop while you eat. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
The winery itself is beautiful. My review specifically relates to the restaurant. I chalk this experience up to the fact that anything that can go wrong, will. First, we were told we could not order food while sitting at the high tops. We waited for a table and after being seated, we then noticed a man sitting at a high top, eating food. Moving on. Flies. Lots of flies. Fruit flies, regular flies. All types of flies. A three course lunch was the only option. We were not made aware of this until we sat down. We were hungry, no problem ordering off of the prefixed menu. First entree came out, an underwhelming soup. Moving on. We watched the waitstaff panic as they tried to figure out where our second course was. After 45 minutes of waiting, and a measly "sorry the kitchen was backed up" we were again provided with a another mediocre dish at best. We decided to take our last entree, desert, to go. I just tried the brownie and almost lost a tooth as it had the texture of a hockey puck. It was extremely overcooked and tasted like burnt chocolate. A lot of these things I'd be happy to over look. I worked in a restaurant for 10 years and I know some things are beyond your control. My biggest problem is the staff knew they messed up with our experience and did nothing to fix it or say sorry.

Yelp
I brought my wife to this place to make up for our bad experience at Cluny (Distillery). This place was recommended by one of our good friends so we drove all the way from Toronto. They were very understanding since we were a bit late. We were sat at the corner of the room and it was very cozy. The staff are very nice and friendly. Luckily, they were having a dining menu promotion called Fabulicious. The food were amazing. Too bad we didn't get the chance to visit the winery but we will definitely go back. I would recommend this place to couple who like to have a great dating experience. Wife was very happy and satisfied. Happy wife, happy life! Thanks Ravine Vineyard! Oh yes, they take reservations on their website. I recommend you do this before driving there especially if you are coming from Toronto (1.5 hours drive).

Yelp
Don't bother going here if you have any dietary restrictions - their vegetarian menu was the worst I've ever experienced (literally a bowl of quinoa with an egg on top and no dessert because it had collagen in it) - really disappointing

Yelp
Very friendly, charming view. Wine selection is interesting; they have some nice blends. Wines are good but not outstanding. Little pricey for what it is.

Yelp
We hit up quite a few wineries when we were in Niagara on the Lake last week and this was my absolute favourite. The tasting fees were very reasonable. They had really unique wines (a white with spritz that we all loved, especially). The vineyard was gorgeous. The people were super friendly and recommended some other small wineries for us to check out. Also, they have a grocery section at the back of their wine store where they sell homemade goodies, foodstuffs, and even gifts. I absolutely fell in love with their jam filled donuts. I actually had to come back twice to buy them. And I bought one of their adorable winery shirts (featuring a pig drinking straight from the bottle). This place is adorable. I don't care if it's considered hipster by some. It's hipster awesome.

Yelp
They have two dogs off leash that wonder around the parking lot that are their supervisor's, and they wouldn't stop barking. Stupid dogs. And since they're bigger than average it can be intimidating to many. The restaurant is fantastic there, but besides that, it is poorly managed.

Yelp
We'd made reservations for the Private Reserve Tasting (at $10/person this turned out to be a FANTASTIC deal), but showed up early and popped in to the restaurant. Although we didn't have reservations, they served us drinks and appetizers us in the waiting area until a table was ready. We were so comfy where we were at we just stayed put! Next we were ready for our tasting. We were very pleasantly surprised that the tasting included charcuterie along with the reserve wines. Our host, Michael, was lively, knowledgeable and interesting. He clearly knew the story behind each bottle and spent 90 minutes with us. We spent 5 days in Niagara-on-the-Lake touring vineyards. This is the ONE vineyard I pretty much told everyone else they must see. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire visit.

Yelp
It took me two consecutive visits to finalize my 2 star rating. Although the atmosphere is is probably a solid 4 star the staff and crew inefficiently handle the large customer volume that they have on weekends. I made reservations on open table which is linked to their website. When we arrived the hostess tried to seat us at a small 2 top off to the side adjacent to a service entrance that was very busy. I asked for another table after noticing several other available 2 tops in the restaurant. I was told that the table I wanted was unavailable and I was offered a couch table in the lounge which we took. The appetizers were tasty with great presentation. After our first glass of wine, our glasses sat empty for a long time. Finally the manager came and asked if we'd like another. We ordered another glass which never came and had to ask two more times before we finally got it. Unfortunately, we decided to cancel our entree because the service was so slow and inattentive. In addition, it took forever to get our check which we had to request from the hostess a second time. I don't think I'll be back, unless I hear they have worked on their customer service and really have stepped up their game. In closing, the 2 top that I wanted originally remained open for the whole period of our dining experience which seemed like eternity.

Yelp
This is a fabulous vineyard! Our hotel recommended this hidden gem. The view is beautiful no matter where you are in the vineyard. We started with a tasting in the wine shop. There was no real direction provided for the tasting but our server was attentive and extremely helpful. I wasn't sure what to have and the server helped to provide me with several 'surprise' glasses which were fabulous. Their wines were delicious and an awesome surprise. They had a great variety and we definitely did not come home empty handed! Following our tasting we enjoyed lunch outside at the restaurant right next door to the wine shop. The view outside was beautiful. The menu was diverse enough that everyone in our party was happy with their selection. My wife and I shared an eggplant and roasted pepper tart and a chefs special wood fired pizza. While we we're waiting for our table we overheard that people are welcome to enjoy a free tasting while they are waiting for their table. The food, tasting, service, and wine shop were all awesome and a great and beautiful way to spend an afternoon.

Yelp
You had me at "house made charcuterie". OHHH, My.... Stars!!! My grandma used to say that when she was really excited about something. It's been two weeks since I had lunch at Ravine and I'm still saying "Oh, my stars"! We stopped for the tour and tasting and really enjoyed our time with Dan. We learned about the organic vineyard and farming they do there. When we when down to the cellar to see the meat curing, I knew instantly lunch was going to be special. The majority of the food served in the restaurant comes from food grown or prepared on the farms owned by the Vineyard. We most enjoyed the Riesling and Chardonnay wines. For an appetizer, we had the charcuterie plate which was easily the best I have ever had. At lunch, my husband had pizza and I had a chicken dish. The flavors were amazing all around. They have their own pastry chef on site and all the bread is made there too. You will not find a place for more delicious, less processed food around. Anywhere.... EVER. Oh, and the scenery was a complete delight.

Yelp
Very nice tour and very informative. Nice way to spend a few hours. Beautiful countryside and a very informative tour with several samples.

Yelp
Amazing place... Romantic, beautiful settings. Both outdoor bar and inside restaurant are great. The food was delicious - we ordered pork and beef, both meals were outstanding. And the wines are lovely, too - in Ontario I prefer white wines, and Ravine did not disappoint. Will certainly be back.

Yelp
Very nice vineyard. The servers were great, the list of wines were decent. Their were a few to my liking but they gave me a full chance to taste until I was completed. Good thing I knew when my taste had been compromised. I give them credit on an outstanding job. They also have a restaurant that I did not eat at.

Yelp
We were visiting Niagra on the Lake for Fourth of July when we stopped here. We had trouble locating a restaurant that was open early prior to our trip back to the US as most opened later in the day/evening. We were pleasantly surprised here by the beautiful view from the patio overlooking a small valley. Beautiful sunny day. We had charcuterie platter and some chardonnay, both which were amazing. I would definitely stop by here again on a future visit. Friendly and helpful waitstaff.

Yelp
What a lovely place tucked away in Niagara-on-the-Lake, just on the edge of St. David's bench. If you are ever in the area or just on the way to Niagara Falls stop here for a wonderful lunch or magical dinner. The winery features marvelous restaurant decorated with rustic chic that is so popular these days, antique chairs are complemented by modernistic cutlery and stemless glassware, well you get the idea. There are more than a few options on the menu capable of satisfying even the pickiest eater. Each dish has a suggested wine pairing so if you are not much of a wine expert feel free to trust these. Otherwise opt in for a flight of 3 wines of your choice, which are poured so generously that they resemble rather full servings than tasting sizes. The staff here really knows their wines, so use their knowledge to your advantage. I thoroughly enjoyed both the Chardonnay and a Riesling suggested by our server. The food was in one word - amazing! Forgive me my vegetarian friends, but the charcuterie board was delicious, well balanced and a thing of beauty in terms of presentation. It was followed by a generous portion of mussels in fragrant creamy broth sprinkled with fresh chives and equally delicious mushroom and spinach quich that so resembles my home made version I could not not like it, especially for that flaky buttery pastry shell and presence of wild mushrooms. We skipped the dessert, for which I am still pulling my hair out. All and all, nice wine, amazing food, fancy decor equals great times!

Yelp
My lunch here was the day the snow storm hits, crazy when all the cars crawling 40km/hr on highway. The food was great, the cured meat was terrific, with the mustard seed, the most amazing was the duck liver.... It exceeds my expectation in so many levels, I couldn't stop myself, the tears of joy came on its own, was that overwhelming. Then the main was ok, my buttermilk chicken was pretty dry, the salmon was good. That day it's only us and another couple, almost feels like we have the whole restaurant to ourself!

Yelp
We had lunch at this beautiful little restaurant during the Victoria Day long weekend. Everything was on point, rustic modern dining room, fantastic dishes and friendly and prompt service. I had the risotto which was fully vegetarian - it was light and perfectly cooked. My one regret was not being able to eat it more slowly! A meal also comes with a wine tasting which was a lovely cap on our dining experience. This is a must eat at when you're in the area!

Yelp
Mixed review here. It was our first visit. We went for our 35th wedding anniversary. We mentioned it when we made our reservation and to our waitress. I was surprised we weren't given any special treatment - dessert or a glass of sparkling. It was a big occassion! The food was good. Not blown away but good. Our waitress was very nice. Service was good. I was surprised at how many kids were running around. Not like other wineries we have visited in the area. Very family oriented. Not a place for a quiet anniversary dinner. Wouldn't go back for a special occassion unless it was a kid's birthday party.

Yelp
We stopped at Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery during a recent tour over Labor Day weekend. The winery was very full and there is also a gift shop, bakery/deli, and restaurant. The restaurant prices are very high!

Yelp
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Ravine. We started with appetizers of Seared Scallops and the House Smoked & Cured Charcuterie and continued with the Duck and the Lamb. All were excellent! We also enjoyed a bottle of the estates 2010 Reserve Merlot which in-spite of being confessed old world wine snobs was actually very good. Nice tannins and black cherry nose and nice long finish, generally impressive for a Merlot. The service was courteous and polite. My only complaint was the lighting, the room was a little dark to easily read the menu but with the help of my mobile phone I muddled through. Definitely worth visiting for the food and the wine.
