Exceptional Food and Passionate Service! What an incredible find! Skörd offers a truly unique dining experience, focusing 100% on Finnish ingredients- so much so that they don't even use pepper! We had the 6-course menu (which felt more like 8 courses) and were blown away by the quality and creativity of every dish. The local berry wine pairing was fantastic and perfectly complemented the food. The best part was the service from one of the owners, whose passion for the food and willingness to chat made the evening truly special. This isn't just a meal, it's an authentic Finnish experience. Highly, highly recommended!

My family of 4 enjoyed a lovely meal here last week. The owner/host was incredibly friendly and gracious, taking the time to explain everything to us, including some very helpful and interesting history of Finland. All of the dishes were super delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommended!

I've visited this restaurant twice foreign partners. The concept is very special, and it's a fantastic opportunity to show the best part os the Finnish cuisine. All ingredients are grown or hunted in the wild and FINNISH. Today we had oak nut ice cream - absolutely amazing packed with flavour. The presentations of the 6 courses were all appealing and the textures as well as flavours fit well with the unique Finnish berry wines. I definitely recommend this place, especially if you're looking to show the Finnish cuisine to people coming from abroad.

The food was amazing. The wine was perfect. Everything about this place made for a great evening out. But to be honest, the highlight of the night was Janne. His passion for the food and for sharing the story of each dish was my favorite part of the night! Highly recommend a visit to Ravintola Skord.

Wow, what a wonderful experience. We had so much fun talking to the staff about the restaurant and Helsinki and Finland. The service was attentive and generous and the food was incredible. We had the 6-course menu with wine pairings (berry wines, you’ll be converted) and the courses got better and better, despite starting in a very delicious place. Finnish ingredients were showcased in every element of each dish, with very unique and sometimes subtle flavours. I cannot talk highly enough about this restaurant! We loved it.

Very lovely concept of using only locally sourced ingredients, including even condiments! Every dish was well thought-out and excellent execution. There were some unique ingredients that I have never had before and never thought would have such wonderful taste and texture. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about each dish. We went with a young child, and the staff was more than accommodating :) Food was amazing and it was overall a very lovely experience.

One of the most amazing culinary experiment of our life. Each dish is cleverly think and executed. Presentation is amazing, colorful and elegant. Never tested before flavors and ingredients. People are amazingly nice, good Smile, good explanations. Definitely a must try if you come to Helsinki !!

Almost half a year has passed since we visited this restaurant but since I initially forgot to review it I need to do it now. I think it is a testament to this place that I still think about it regularly. Everything about this place is perfect. No other rating than a perfect 5 stars can make justice to how beautiful everything about this place is. I think this is the place you should come to if you want to experience Finnish food in its most organic and natural form. If you read the other comments you know that the place has a very unique idea. They also execute it stunningly. We visited the place in November when Finland is supposed to be a frozen land and provide no natural ingredients. On the contrary, the dinner was mouthwateringly good. The place is small and cozy, and customer service couldn’t get any better. This is still my best or second best restaurant experience ever.
