We absolutely loved our two nights at Raw Culture Bairro Alto, even though it felt too short. The loft was spacious with a lovely balcony, double windows that kept everything quiet, and blackout curtains that gave us the best sleep. The staff were wonderful, always friendly and genuinely helpful. We had a night flight and reception offered us a free late checkout until 7pm though we offered to pay, and the night staff kindly helped us with drinks after the bar was closed. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice, and everything throughout the hotel was spotless. The location is perfect too — step outside and you’re right in the heart of Bairro Alto, ready to explore. We highly recommend Raw Culture and will definitely choose it again on our next trip to Lisbon.

I stayed at Raw Culture Arts & Lofts Bairro Alto this past weekend with my two best friends, and it exceeded all expectations! The hotel was spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating—making three girls traveling together feel completely safe and cared for. Breakfast was made in-house and honestly one of the best we’ve ever had. The rooms were spacious and beautifully designed, with double-layered glass windows that kept out all the nightlife noise when it was time to rest. The location itself was perfect, right in the heart of Bairro Alto’s vibrant energy but still offering total peace and quiet at night. The unique artwork and motorcycles displayed throughout the hotel gave it such an inspiring and creative atmosphere, unlike anywhere else we’ve stayed. I’ll definitely be returning!

Our 2nd visit to Lisbon, staying 3 nights. BEST location; we purchased daily transportation passes but never got a chance to use them; everything we wanted to visit is within walking distance, including top restaurants and attractions. Room is spacious with 2 toilets and quiet air conditioning and very quiet at night. Breakfast is something looking forward to each morning, homemade drinks, bakery and more with friendly services, making us feel like staying with a good friend; Joao and Catarina are personal and friendly with big smiles. We’ll definitely stay here again.

We didn’t stay in any of the beautiful lofts at Raw Culture, but we did get to spend a lovely evening, lounging in the beautiful bar and relishing in the gorgeous artwork and modern decor. It was a quiet evening, and we we had the bar to ourselves for a fair portion of the evening. The jazz music playing, really set the tone for a wonderful experience, with delicious drinks, and a unique atmosphere, complimented by beautiful art and decor. If you have the opportunity to enjoy a cocktail at this lovely establishment, I highly recommend it.

We’ve traveled a lot, but this hotel is by far our favorite. Every detail was clearly thought out — from the charming wall decorations and delicious fig and pumpkin jams to the cozy slippers. Our room was spacious and well-equipped, with one full bathroom, two half-bathrooms, and a small kitchen area that included a refrigerator, dishwasher, and oven.||Most of all, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Iride, in particular, made me feel like she was a sister taking care of me and my family with such warmth and attention. After spending a couple of nights here, we continued our trip to Cádiz for two weeks — and I truly missed both the hotel and Iride. We’re happy to be back for a few more nights, and we look forward to returning in the future. I highly recommend staying here!

I've stayed at many 5 star hotels but this one is one of the best. Everything about my stay here was excellent from start to finish. For the rooms: The hotels has two sides, the quieter side (side G) is absolutely silent at night which is great because the area has a ton of bars and restaurants. The rooms are also very large which is unusual for most European hotels. The beds are also king size and very comfortable. The service: This alone would qualify for 5 stars. The staff is eager to help with any need and very attentive. Shout out to Iris for all the great recommendations! Special mention for the breakfast which was so unique and tasty. The house made yogurts were delicious and the daily cakes were so good it was hard to even consider them a guilty pleasure. Overall, this is an amazing boutique hotel to stay in if you want to be close to everything but still enjoy the peace and quiet of the room at the end of the day.

Six stars! Add the ideal location, amazing staff, beautiful rooms, great breakfast and you have a clear winner here! First the place is stunning and the design of the space is modern and eclectic. The personal experience given by Iride in terms of recommendations like a festival at a museum with free concerts… and an amazing beach off the tourist track, made this stay special. A call out to João, the evening bartender… also with great suggestions like some crafty cocktail bars made our trip so much better. I recommend this hotel without reservation!

We stayed in this hotel with a King bed for 5 nights from Oct. 15-20, 2025. When I made the booking in June 26, 2025, aside from the room rates, there was an "accommodation tax" that says EUR 2 per person per night. Since it was me and my spouse staying, the total for the accommodation tax was EUR 20. Fast forward to our check in, our invoice was handed to us - sealed in an envelope. I just paid via my credit card and did not bother looking at my invoice, after all, I have been in touch with the hotel staff for the last few months and trusted them. We also have itineraries on that day and needs to get out right away so I do not have time to look into the invoice. We were brought into our room by Katarina and found out that the luggage are not there. She called the people who took our luggage and found out we were brought to the wrong room. So Katarina brought us to the correct room let us in. Later, after we decided to go out, our card keys would not work. And that is because Katarina activated our card keys for the wrong room, hence, our card keys would not work. Common sense, right? Minor inconvenience but for me, where we are in a hurry to leave and tour Lisbon, it can cause delays. After we got back to Canada, I was checking my credit card statements and found out that the accomodation tax they charge us has doubled from EUR 20 to EUR 40. I checked my invoice that was given to me in a sealed envelope and realized that it was indeed doubled. I emailed the hotel and they explained to me that the accommodation tax has increased since Sept. 2024. Now wait a minute, I did the booking June 2025, so that is like 9 months later and their booking website still shows the accommodation tax is EUR 2 and not EUR 4, per person per night. So why is their online booking not reflecting the change that was implemented 9 months ago. I can only think that whoever responded to me may have made a typing mistake and instead of saying the accommodation tax changed from EUR 2 to EUR 4 in September 2024, that he may mean Sept. 2025, which is after I made the online reservation. So I tried to do a test booking and found out that their booking webiste still shows that the accommodation tax is still at EUR 2. So I told them that they should update their booking online website to reflect the most recent cost of the accommodation tax. It maybe a small amount for me, but how about for future guests who will book for a longer period and more people to stay in the room? It will be significant difference. They never bothered to reply back to me. So unexpected guests will found out only later after checking in that this accommodation tax has doubled. BAD SERVICE!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING IN THIS HOTEL !!! Find somewhere else to stay.
