Rawacou Recreational Park

Breathtaking experience. I visited the salt pond late June 2023, it was all to ourselves and the water was quite shallow. The sand is a dark black, has clear water, and a calming wash from the rock surrounding. This was great then but I have head that it might’ve been damaged from Beryl, the waves are huuuuge away from the salt pond and there are plenty signs showing the danger!

The facilities are clean, however we've never had much use for them. There is no protection from the sun around the area where the salt pond is as there are no trees. The pond has so much life as you can get to see the massive waves rolling towards you, then hit the rocks and trickle in. The water inside the pool is perfect height for little ones and a bit deeper off to the far end for adults ( just over the waist for someone tall). My baby loves it, we love it. It's definitely worth visiting... we will be regulars

Popular salt pool created by putting boulders in a large semicircle which allows the sea to wash over, filling the pool. Children especially enjoyed the shallow water which had a life guard. Not too much sea moss either. Unfortunately the changing rooms had been vandalized but overall a lovely setting for picnics and cook-ups. No café facilities though.

The park is spacious and great for large gatherings, it has a peaceful atmosphere but the bathroom facilities need some work.

The view is great and its nice and breezy next to the Atlantic coast. There are gazebo to sit and relax .The pond is a mosty shallow with some small areas where u can swim. There is an entrance fee.

Nice and relaxing atmosphere. A gentle constant breeze awaits you and while the sea water is rough and you are not encouraged to bathe in it, there is the lovely pond (enclosed sea water) that you may not want to leave one you take your first dip.

Priceless place to be . comfortable, nice people, nice view. Nice place to have a picnic
