Rawla Bisalpur is unquestionably one of my top five travel experiences of 2025. For years, I have dreamed of visiting a rural Rajasthani village, immersing myself in its rhythms, and capturing the simple, authentic lives of its villagers. When I discovered Rawla Bisalpur—a heritage palace nestled in the heart of Bisalpur village—I knew I had found the perfect place to bring this dream to life.
Steeped in princely and warrior lineage, Rawla Bisalpur is brought to life by its owners, brothers Paramveer and Veer, who graciously share their family’s stories with each guest. Unlike any other Indian stay I’ve experienced, the palace transforms legacy into an engaging, contemporary experience—allowing visitors to feel history, heritage, and humility all at once.
The palace sits surrounded by rugged mountains, a timeless landscape that has coexisted with leopards for centuries, adding a wild, extraordinary element to the village’s charm. One of the highlights of staying here is the safari excursion. Driving through the Jawai jungle in a robust Maruti 4WD, the golden afternoon sun casts layers of rich light across the terrain. Pausing for a simple picnic of snacks and steaming masala chai, one can truly feel the magic of this place—the harmony of nature, heritage, and human warmth.
Rawla Bisalpur is, in every sense, a destination that is everything and everywhere at once. Its stories, landscapes, and hospitality linger long after you leave. Being here is not just a stay—it’s a deeply moving journey, one I feel profoundly grateful to have experienced.
