We recently spent 11 nights here, 8 on a powered sites, then 3 on a bush camp. We have been twice before and absolutely love it here. It is so central to everything and the walking tracks are great. Dog friendly which is a big plus. Just such beautiful surroundings. Staff are helpful and amenities are clean. Thanks for a great stay.

My parents and sister stayed here for a week this July. We stayed in two of the superior cabins and had a lovely stay. Check in was smooth & the staff are lovely. ||Rawnsley Park is remote, and that is definitely part of the attraction. The station itself is huge, and has accommodation ranging from the superior cabins to campsites. It is spacious and welcoming.||On the night we arrived we were treated to a beautiful sunset which seemed to change colours every minute. It was absolutely stunning! Birds, sheep, kangaroos & more visit regularly. The scenery is stunning. ||The cabins we stayed in were fairly clean, very cosy and the beds were comfortable. There were a few minor issues, such as a tap that needed to be fixed, which was taken care of quickly.||In my parents’ cabin, there was a QR code where you could locate information regarding the property as well as the Wi-Fi details. This was stuck onto the kitchen wall. However, in my sister and my cabin there was no such information. I would recommend that this information is passed along at reception. More information regarding the site rules would also be useful such as noise restrictions etc. This is relatively minor, but I did notice there were many older guests, and this is information that could be useful such as emergency contact details. I think that it would also be good to have this information as hardcopy, as this would be easier to read.||We did not eat at the Woolshed, however we did get a takeaway. The food was absolutely delicious & the restaurant looked so beautiful. If we had planned things a little bit more, it would have been great to book in and have a dinner there. However, the great thing about being in the cabin was that we were able to cook our own dinner, and this was one of the things that we did want to do. ||The station is perfectly placed for sightseeing. Unfortunately, it was a little bit too windy for us to take advantage of the scenic flights, but this is something to do another time! If you are thinking of doing any of the 4WD tours, I really do recommend booking in early as we were too slow! ||It is about 30 km to Hawker, where you can get petrol and other supplies. There is a small shop in the caravan park part of Rawnsley is, as well as a petrol station. The small shop wasn’t very well equipped, so perhaps stock up before you get there. ||Overall, we had a great time and got to see some amazing sites in the Flinders Ranges. You honestly have to see the place to believe how expensive and stunning it is. I would definitely stay here again!

We appreciated being close to the national park. The cabin accommodation at the caravan park is a little more like camping/caravaning in a cabin - not bad, but better if you have accurate expectations! There is a kitchenette and cold non-drinkable running water (fine for washing up, but you need to boil it to get it hot). There is a rainwater tank that you can refill with drinkable water, but you need a container and it's very slow - consider bringing your own. Only a double bed, but adequate blankets for winter we found. Decent bathroom facilities. Small but adequate for our needs, even for a family of 6.||We would stay again. It was great to be close to the park, it was reasonably priced for the location, there are some nice walks close by.

We stayed in a one bedroom superior cabin for three nights. Great accommodation just outside the national park. Quiet and comfortable. There's a pool onsite, as well as laundry facilities. The kitchen was set up for self catering, but stock up in Port Augusta where there is more choice than the general store (located at the caravan park) or the small IGA (at Wilpena and Hawker). The only restaurant within coo-ee is The Woolshed Restaurant, which has good meals, and also takeaway pizza. Overall I thought this accommodation was great for the price and semi-remote location. The Flinders Ranges are stunning, so well worth a visit.

Great place as an entry to the Ranges. Lots of accommodation options. Food is good at the restaurant as well. The reception staff could be a bit more friendly. There are lots of activities around and it has some very nice views at sunrise or sunset.

Having previously booked an unpowered site on-line, we were taken aback a bit by the attitude at reception 'to try our luck' getting site near (within reasonable walking distance) to the amenities but would have more luck getting a site out towards the western boundary. Also, was not aware that you could run a generator - which our neighbour did for most of one day we were there. Apart from that, the park seemed well run.

We bush camped in our caravan originally for 2 nights and extended it to 4. Great access to the whole of the Flinders Ranges area which is spectacular. Fantastic areas to set up and no one close by. Access to an ablution block was a bonus, water and dump point also available. Super clean facilities. Friendly staff. We ate at the Woolshed restaurant which was lovely on 2 occasions.

Have just stayed at Rawnsley for the second time, this time in a pet friendly cabin in the caravan park, with our dog. What an amazing place. There is so much to do within the park and so much within a short drive. All the features of Rawnsley make it such an easy place to stay, great staff, restaurant with take away too, the shop with food fuel and wood. And god its just so beautiful. Will definitely be back again and again!
