I had the veggie 14” pizza 🍕 here. The crust was very loose like watery texture which was not enjoyable to eat, the taste was okay. The garlic knots were delicious with marinara sauce.. overall take your chance and try other items on the menu here. I wouldn’t go for the pizza again since I like my crust to be crunchy and not watery/loose. Thanks.🌱

Google
We loved this place! The general manager was incredibly kind to us (and everyone else we saw him interact with), the service from our server Ty was beautifully executed, and our food was delicious! It was a busy Saturday night but we still felt cared for and appreciated. We will be back! Thank you guys for a wonderful evening! Much love and many blessings! Edit:the steak and cheese calzone and the cheese pizza were yummy ❤️

OMG, when I walked in the doors the smells inside the restaurant, quickly took me back to my days as a Sous chef at Giovanni's Italian restaurant in Memphis, I was no older than 13, and I cut my culinary teeth there! The atmosphere is both, inside and outside. And it is perfectly suited to the Mailu of Italiano!!

Google
I can honestly say this place has its magic to it. Nestled right next to Tech Square Ray’s offers outside seating, inside dining, & a bar. The staff is very friendly, approachable, & personable. My favorite part definitely has to be their White Pizza they just do it right all great ingredients. Thanks to Quentin for the service!!

Google
Had their 4 cheese sliced pizza for takeout. Slices were definitely larger than expected. Very good cheese to sauce ratio. I recommend this pizza, but it’s heavy so you might walk away with some leftovers. The staff were very kind and polite. Pretty much all very professional, friendly, and patient (I take a bit to decide). The manger/site supervisor is a down to earth, polite guy. The staff even helped me find my keys when I lost them around the building. They’re lifesavers for that. The place has both inside and outside seating both of which were very clean, spacious and able to serve a decent group. The staff definitely takes cleanliness and atmosphere seriously so if you find yourself looking for a nice homey place to eat. This spots a good one! Next time I come down to Atlanta I’m definitely gonna make my way back for some more.

Matty is that GUY, great service and great energy every time I come here. Joey is a great guy and always has warm energy and funny jokes prepared. Great staff and great food all around, 5 stars!

Google
Max was an absolute delight! He served my husband and son last time they came in. When we came in this time he not only remembered my husband and son, he remembered their drinks! His customer service is stellar. He's quick and knowledgeable about the menu but most of all, he's just a wonderful human. We really loved the pizza and Max. Don't lose him!

Crystal Izell

Google
We chose this place on a whim while we were here on vacation from Arkansas. From the start, our server Max was super friendly and helpful. We took his recommendations and everything was amazing! The manager, Joe, was also very friendly and gave us advice on other places to visit while in the city. We recommend 100%

Yelp
This restaurant has come a long way!!! The food is great! The menu has been limited and everything is good. The pizzas are so delicious. If I could eat more bread, I'd have a different Ray's pizza every day. The service is always great. The training they get must be what does it. The ambiance is a pizza parlour with Middle Eastern food. How does that even work? But it does! Enjoy an evening in Tech Square.

Yelp
A sports bar style New York pizzeria, Ray's is good but best suited to service the college students of the area. There isn't anything surprising or inventive on the menu, but the pizza is good for the price and the staff is friendly and fast.

Yelp
Fries taste like a mix between freezer-burned Great Value brand, and four day old bottom-of-the-bag McDonald's. Chicken pesto sandwich looked blue. Garlic knots had no garlic. Just thick dough and the most watery tomato sauce in the world. Workers were nice but eat at your own risk.

Yelp
I came here with a couple of friends after walking around Tech Square. Conveniently located, though my experience was not the best. As someone who's dairy-free, I asked if I could get a pizza with no cheese and they said they actually have vegan cheese. Wonderful! My friends and I ordered, and ended up waiting 30 minutes for our pizzas. Once my pizza came however, it was the wrong pizza - a vegetarian pizza, even though I ordered the meat lovers and the waitress had confirmed that with me. They said they'd remake my pizza again quickly, however, 10 minutes in they asked me if I'd rather just cancel my order. I was a little astounded because I'd already waited this long, so I told them I would still want my pizza. It ended up taking 20 minutes to receive my pizza, and by the time I received my pizza, all of my friends had already finished eating. It was just inconvenient and they said nothing could be done in this situation- I was hoping for better customer service and was left very disappointed. I ended up waiting 50 minutes for an average pizza.

Yelp
I just flew in to the city of Atlanta for some meetings, and I was really hungry for pizza. I know pizza is always so different everywhere I go, so I'm always nervous when I order. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised when I received the pizza, and it was absolutely fantastic. The pizza is a thin crust, hand tossed style. Both the cheese and the crust were very tasty, and it was cooked just right. I will definitely order again!

Carroll B.

Yelp
They serve a solid, thin crust, New York style pizza at a reasonable price. There is nothing special about the recipe, but it hits the spot. I ordered delivery so I didn't go inside. The food was delivered promptly and was still warm. What more can you ask for?

Parnian V.

Yelp
Fifth Avenue calzone; I docked a star because the marinara was a little bland/watery and not enough for the whole calzone. But overall it was good!

Yelp
The pizzas, burgers, and calzones here are usually good. Steak and cheese calzone can feed two people. I usually get a burger flores with steak fries with a slice of deluxe when I'm hungry. Today, walked in and got a corner table. All the tables looked clean. The servers were nice and friendly. Made my order - Coke Zero, deluxe slice, and steak and cheese calzone and it was extra cheesy. Got my order in about 10 minutes. The servers came by a few times. Everything was good. Eight TVs inside and maybe next time I will get a pitcher of their $10 high life. A big bottler of hand sanitizer at the counter. Most of the staff did not wear masks and gloves.

Yelp
After dropping my son off at college, we came here because the smell coming down the street was so good. We didn't have to wait long at all and came here for a quick lunch bite. They were friendly in a sad us quickly. The place wasn't too busy but I had a great atmosphere as plenty of TVs and sports on all of them. We ordered a large mushroom pizza and chicken wings and some falafel. Definitely an interesting mix of foods and our pizza came out within minutes. The pizza looked and tasted great with just the right amount of sauce and a nice crisp to it. I do think they forgot about our appetizers since we had to ask about them. The wings were great but the falafel tasted a little overdone on the outside. Bottom line is we came here for the pizza and the drinks and it was well done. I would definitely come back here for the pizza alone.

Yelp
We came in on a Saturday night looking for NY style pizza and found this place. I'm from NY and this ain't it. It's not bad but it ain't great either. I think our pizza needed to be cooked longer. We ordered a 16in pizza. Dough is thicker than I'd prefer for NY style. Maybe the individual slices are made differently. Ingredients tasted fine but nothing notable. I was really hungry at the time so it hit the spot for the moment. Service was friendly. it took about 20 minutes or so to get our pizza. There were a good amount of people inside. I'm thinking alot of college kids frequent this spot with the munchies bc the pizza is just alright.

Thomas S.

Yelp
They call this pizza? The green peppers were raw, and the pie was barely warm. Never again.

Yelp
Service was amazing! We ordered pizza, wings, and garlic knots. Everything was great! Will definitely be back on our next visit to ATL!

Yelp
Lousy, overcooked, overpriced burger; inattentive service; ill-maintained bar, all when the place was empty at 9 pm on a cold Friday night. 1) Since I quit drinking, I ordered a glass of tonic water; but their carbonator was empty and and actually received soda water. When I told the guy covering the bar, he checked and said I was right, so I said I'll drink it anyway' 2) I also ordered a " 1/2 pound Angus" burger medium rare with the Caesar salad, and the first burger came out so dry and overcooked, it was charred, so I sent it back, telling the waiter "I don't mind paying $12 for a burger, but at least cook it right;" 3) I accidentally spilled my soda while pushing the charred burger plate over to the waiter, and he said "I'll get you another one"...And didn't, until I asked again for it 10 minutes later when my second burger came out; 4) The second burger was a bit juicy, but was medium-well to well; but now in a hurry to catch the 9:55 bus, I accepted it as I was getting hungry... And it was only a 1/3 lb frozen burger (like I buy by the box at the store), not a 1/2 lb patty. As I was eating it, the bun fell apart as the cook didn't even bother to toast the bun on the flattop; 5) The tiny "Caesar salad" serving on the plate with the burger had absolutely tasteless dressing; so I left it. All in all, between the service and the overpriced, ill-prepared food, I'll not be back.

Emily B.

Yelp
Great prices and food! Service was a little hard to get a hold of cause it was busy for the trivia night but that is so understandable. Thursdays are trivia and my team won! Organized greatly and fun questions for the whole family.

Yelp
Affordable pizza option off Georgia Tech campus. The pizza wasn't great, but worth the price. They have different events every night with $3 draft beers or margarita Monday, which are fun. Though, the service can be slow if there is a long pick up line, just to keep in mind!

Sean E.

Yelp
The food is terrible, and the chefs don't know how to cook the food. I had to send my food back three times because it wasn't cooked all the way .The manager is an asshole. When I told hm my food isn't cooked and showed it to him he asked me if I ever tipped his workers. (Sounds like my food was purposely not cooked) Worst pizza place in the city highly do not recommend.

Chris S.

Yelp
Just ordered a vegetable calzone from Ray's on 5th street and it was out of this world. This isn't the first time I have had a great meal from Ray's.

Dave P.

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch and our waiter immediately informed us about the lunch specials, which were exceptional. The salad and pizza were tasty and the service by Spencer was great.

Yelp
I work in this area. This is located near Georgia Tech. There's not much parking around this area usually have to pay to park. You may luck up and get free 2 hour if u keep driving around and looking. You may be able to get free parking in a parking deck as a rays customer. It's worth a look. I walked here 2/12/20 for lunch. It was rush-hour about 1220 when I walked in there wasn't anyone in front of me. Jeff immediately took my order I opted for the steak salad. I like that he asked me how I liked my meat cooked (med/well done etc) this place was so full I had to sit at the bar (no available seating) which I didn't mind. the bar had a huge TV I had a decent wait time for my food. Maybe 15 or 20 minutes. It was really loud even if I was with someone, It wasn't too loud that we wouldn't be able to hear each other. When my salad came, the meat tasted funny but it was OK I like the balsamic drizzle they put on it and the blue cheese crumbles. It was served with a side roll. i would suggest getting an additional side of salad dressing because if I had not requested an additional side, my salad would have been really dry. I did like that they had a good bar option I assume maybe only for lunch. I saw fruit and pizza slices and everything looked fresh. The next time I come I would like to try the bar. It looked very enticing, fresh and interesting. There were quite a few selections to choose from. The bar was about maybe 12 feet long? Jeff took my order, he delivered my salad and he also checked on me throughout my meal. Jeff was a very pleasant person. I enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back, probably with coworkers.

Yelp
My rapscallions and I were undeniably famished after a difficult trek of love making. We caught ear along the pathway of Ray's Pizza's rambunctious options. We waltzed into the established, my gosh good sir; the smell hit me like a stallion on salts. Thou instantly saw childhood. "Is this a whisper from the heavens? " I proclaimed as we waited to be granted our table. A plether of options indeed there were! Had to hit the lou but my taste couldn't not more than a second. The pizza frolicked on my taste buds like a drunken sailor in a storm. Cheers mate! We cherished it tonight and we'll cherish it again. Very much obliged!!

Steve M.

Yelp
The pizza here is ok, I frequent the place because it's on my block and therefore convenient. whats Not ok is the service. what they will or won't do is dependent on the day and their mood. Especially the ditsy girl that is Supposed to take to go orders, but won't on some days. there Are many many better pizza joints close by. This place doesn't care anymore.

Yelp
VERY GOOD ! Love the Bar ! Great for a lunch date. The staff was nice and friendly. Big pizza slices
google avatar

Yelp
Really liked this place! My son LOVED the pizza! He had 2 slices and they were huge (and he's 10).. Everyone has their own style of pizza they like, so guess I understand some of the comments on here. The pizza in thin and maybe a little doughy, which I like. It was super flavorful and we liked it a lot. Service was fantastic as well!

Yelp
On a Saturday afternoon, they didn't seem to be too busy but the service to order and get served was extremely slow. In terms of food, Rays pizza portions are HUGE and one slice was more than enough for me! The pizza was pretty greasy and it wasn't the best I've had, but it was decent for the very affordable price.

Paul B.

Yelp
OMG! This is seriously my favorite pizza place in all of ATL. I moved to midtown in July of 2021 and searched for authentic NY/NJ pizza. I was born and raised in northern New Jersey so good Italian food/pizza is essential to my well-being:-D. When I lived in my apartment I'd eat at Vinnys which was good, but Ray's is MUCH BETTER and closer to my new condo! I love the rewards system as well. Pepperoni Pizza is my favorite food, and the cheese, sauce, and bread are all absolutely perfect (wonderful flavor, and fluffy). The pizza reminds me so much of home. Also, the cashiers are ALWAYS friendly! If I am ever in a bad mood, Ray's NY Pizza definitely cheers me up! I try to eat there every Friday! I'M SO GLAD I AM WALKING DISTANCE TO MY FAVORITE PIZZA PLACE!
google avatar

Robert B.

Yelp
I learned my lesson between goodfellas and this...Don't go to pizza places expecting other food they serve to be good..

Shay P.

Yelp
I love coming here! I visit fairly often and always receive great service. I have ordered a variety of menu items, all of which have been delicious and served quickly. In addition, the prices are reasonable and the portions are great. While it can get crazy on GT game days, it is usually easy to be seated immediately! I definitely recommend.
google avatar

Jessel C.

Yelp
I've been to Rays a few times since being in Atlanta. Not good pizza but not bad pizza being that I'm used to NYC pizza. Servers are great and following Covid-19 guidelines. My pepperoni Izzy has a very thin crust with veryyyy little sauce. The crust was flimsy and soggy which I prefer my pizza not soaked in grease. The marinara sauce is actually quite amazing so nothing negative to say in that department. Also my mom and sister are vegan, Ray's is a very vegan friendly establishment. Table spacing, masks, hand sanitizer is missing though. Game day chicken tenders were a hit for a couple in our group. 5/5 there

Yelp
Came here for lunch buffet on Thursday lunch with a group of friends. They have $11 all you can eat pizza during weekday lunch. When we walked in, there were only three types of pizzas to choose from with some salad and garlic knots. It was disappointing, so we decided to get whole pizzas. We ended up with garlic knots, mozzarella cheese sticks, and 3 x large pizzas (4 cheese, buffalo chicken, and veggie deluxe). The first two items are appetizers, but we waited close to 20 minutes. As soon as we asked about it, the server brought them out to us. The garlic knots were very doughy and chewy. The mozzarella sticks were over done and crispy. As for the pizzas, none of them were hot, it almost as if they were reheated and came out. The only reason for the two stars is that the buffalo was alright, and I didn't mind too much. The others were very lacking however. Overall, I would not come here again as there's Atwood's pizza very close by which serves much better pizza.

Yelp
It was okay... It's this cheap pizza place - pizza isn't that great. They just have "all you can eat buffet" from like 12:00-3:00pm, Monday-Thursday. They had like 3 pizzas that you could take from: "meat", "veggie", and "specialty" (which when we were there, was basically "pepperoni", "mushroom", and a basic "white" pizza). Since it's a buffet style, there are no guarantees that you'll get it hot - ours wasn't. It's not terrible or anything but I can't recommend it. Interior of the place looks kind of budget too. It looked like it'd be nicer on the outside. They also had a salad and fruit area (watermelon, melon, and pineapple when we were there). I noticed some form of fried dough balls with sugar (they were getting a tad stale sitting out, kind of like some of the pizza crust) and other things like soup, chicken with marinara, meatballs, etc. So, overall, it's not reaaaally a buffet place, but it was just a cheap pizza place that has a "buffet" during the week around lunch time. And the quality is perhaps a bit better than that at a Chinese buffet. So yeah, buffet quality, but with some Italian food. I had some meatballs and they were decent for what it was. I probably won't come back, but if I do, it's because I'm starving.

Yelp
I was craving pizza and I'm new to the area so I tried this spot. Absolutely horrible. I mean, I have nothing nice to say except the Mozzarella sticks are super delicious, but being that this is a pizza place I can't give them stars based off of that. I ordered a BBQ Chicken pizza and the crust tasted like a cracker. It was hard and crunchy, not soft and yummy. The bbq sauce was basic. The chicken had 0 flavor. It didn't taste fresh. I was just really disappointed. The manager and waiters were so nice I ended up paying...but it wasn't worth $1. I won't be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Great lunch today with co-workers! One is leaving soon and we had an opportunity to talk and share stories. Rays was great and the service was cool. I had the buffalo chicken pizza and a sweet tea.
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
Not great. Definitely better pizza in midtown. It's kind of an insult to NY pizza to call these pies NY pizza. We bought 3 pies: a margherita, a meat pie and a veggie. They all tasted the same, the crust was similar to cardboard, the red sauce was indistinguishable from the toppings and the crust, the cheese was flavorless and the same consistency of the crust. We also go a salad. It was nothing special, the dinner roll that it came with was burned so badly that it was inedible. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but I definitely can't recommend this place. :(

Yelp
I used to eat this place back wen I lived in Atlanta back in the day. This was the spot for me to grab a slice of pizza really quickly on my way home after medical rotations. It used to be great. So being back in town, I decided to go ahead and pay it a visit for a slice of pizza. They have a few really yummy options, but gyro and white pizza were my favorite. So I went ahead and ordered the white pizza slice, and man, as always it was on point! So many years later...one bite and I was transported right back to those times! The beauty of this pizza is its PHENOMENAL crust, and this simple white pizza comes with mozzarella and ricotta. It's simplicity at it's best - a dash of oregano, and a dash of red pepper = heaven in your mouth. The mister got a porch-side lemonade, and he absolutely loved it!!! Jha was our bartender and our server, and she was absolutely amazing - confident, and always making sure we didn't need anything else. She was working with another young gentleman and he was fantastic too, very courteous, friendly and made good conversation with us while we enjoy our drink and pizza. The food is good, the ambience is great and lots of space for busy evenings! Oooh, and their garlic knots are really amazing as well!
google avatar

Samantha V.

Yelp
Sat for an hour and a half and four tables came and went before our food came. Waitress never came to fill our drinks after she gave them to us. Will never eat here ever again and definitely won't be recommending Ray's to anyone.

Natalie H.

Yelp
The waiter was super sweet I really give him A for effort but the food wasn't the best. I would say my pizza on a scale 1-10 was a solid 4 due to the fact that it was super doughey and didn't have that crunch that I like. Not so authentic to my style of pizza but the bartender was super sweet and did his best to take care of my squad.
google avatar

Chuck P.

Yelp
Very good NY style pizza, which is hard to find in the south. Big thin floppy NY slices - delicious!
google avatar

Evelyn E.

Yelp
Have the BEST garlic knots and pizza. Amazing calzone and great service. Everyone there is so lovely and a great atmosphere with TVs and it's not loud at all if you like that chill environment. Great music as well and again wonderful staff and food
google avatar

Amanda B.

Yelp
Ordered to-go on a Saturday evening. The 3 girls working seemed really frazzled, there were maybe 20 people dining in but they might have had a rush. The food took at least 40 minutes.. we ordered a burger with onion rings, a small cheese pizza and 2 calzones. The pizza was nothing like the slices but my husband devoured the calzone (was starving) and the burger was event. Onion rings were good but just 2 of them were enough. A little pricey but it's on campus and across the street from the hotel so I'm not surprised.
google avatar

Yelp
After studying all day in GT B&N sipping on Starbucks refills, I worked up quite an appetite for real food. I decided to visit Ray's with my girl per her suggestion. We ordered 10 wings for $9.99, 'bruschetta' $6.99, and the Philly for $9.99. When the food arrived, it certainly fell short of what I expected from a restaurant, especially considering the prices. The wings weren't... awful. The sauce was very watery, however, and the crispy wings went soggy in minutes. The 'bruschetta' on the menu turned out to be a rolled-out piece of pizza dough with spinach and feta cheese on top (note: this sad excuse for an appetizer is NOT what bruschetta actually is). The sandwich was pretty good, but there was far more bell pepper and onion than actual steak (which my palate doubts was sirloin beef). The fries, though hot, were not fully cooked and were unsalted (our table even lacked a salt shaker to boot, oh joy). For a whopping $4 a slice, there's literally no point coming here for pizza (or anything else I imagine) when dominos offers an entire pie for $5.99. Hell, you can even get a pan pizza at dominos for $9, the price of about two or so slices at Ray's! I would've given the place one star if not for our kind waiter who still provided acceptable service while carrying the majority of the weight of the entire dining area.
google avatar

Frank D.

Yelp
Unsure why the reviews are so low but we had a great experience here. Ordered via phone for pickup and it was ready earlier then expected. We tried the white pizza garlic knots and the gyro w/ fries. Everything was great and will dine in next time.
google avatar

Jim W.

Yelp
I attended a couple of seminars in this area, and had the opportunity to try Ray's once for dinner and once for lunch. Both visits were fine. Service was quick, and the pizza was at least average. If I could round up to a score of 3.5, I would. OTOH, I wouldn't make a special trip to the area just for this pizza. If you are in the area and debating among the many options nearby, this place certainly merits consideration. It seemed popular with GT students as well (no surprise there - it's inexpensive pizza). The place was close to full both times I went, but I didn't have to wait. If you need a quick lunch, they can accommodate that also.
google avatar

Pamelyn G.

Yelp
Definitely need to take the "New York" out of their name. Tastes nothing like New York pizza I was disappointed was hungry & I'm still hungry couldn't eat it. My 15 liked the mild wings. She was a hungry teenager she probably would've ate the box & thought it was this pizza. Tasteless & nasty.
google avatar

Antione P.

Yelp
The place is racist! Came in to pick up a order, the Caucasian man upfront never greeted me and even his sales associate looked at him crazy for not greeting me! Just rude for no reason and hands me the pizza like I'm nothing. I'll never step foot in here again. With what's going on in the world right now, I would think we would be a lot nicer to each other.
google avatar

Cullen K.

Yelp
Attention all New Yorkers. Nothing New York about this pizza except the ovens! Avoid at all cost. On a positive , the menu does offer burgers and Mediterranean

Angela A.

Yelp
I had a not so nice experience in this restaurant recently. HOWEVER, I sent an email on the website sharing the experience. I received a response and resolve in less than 6 hours!!! It changed my entire opinion and first experience. A personal call from the owner blew my mind. The food is absolutely excellent and the care and concern that the owners have for their customers is TRULY Remarkable. I am now a customer for life!

Yelp
Located in the eclectic Midtown Area in Atlanta, this pizza joint is a tried-and-true kind of place. I got there right in the middle of lunch rush and had no problem finding a spot in the main indoor dining room. There is also the option of sitting at the patio (although Atlanta in Spring can be horrible with the Pollen everywhere). My drink order was taken immediately, service was attentive and efficient. Ordered 1 slice of cheese and 1 Roasted Eggplant Dip. Items came back quickly and the presentation was really nice... I mean... Pizza is Pizza... nothing too fancy, but the eggplant was plated really nice with a drizzle of olive oil on top... Pizza crust was delicious and again, service was very good. Definitely will come back.

David D.

Yelp
Recommend ordering by the slice. Good size slice and it wasn't bad. They definitely could improve on the sauce. Lemon pepper wings were good. Not bad place within walking distance from the hotel if you wanted something quick
google avatar

Yelp
great place for the GA Tech kids to come for a slice. Looks like they have a buffet deal during the day. Pretty popular on a Friday night, but not too crowded at 7 ish. Upstairs is good for a group. Their meatballs are tasty, and their pizza seemed well made. Their garlic bread knots and sauce were a hit. The also have unadvertised drink specials so ask about that. Good selection of beers on tap. Roasted Vegetables that they offer on the buffet are a little undercooked for my taste.

Yelp
I eat alotta pizza and have seen all the ranges, good; bad; so-so... this will be a go-to favorite, especially within the city. Tried the stomboi, it was good, it's the marinara on the side that makes the difference. If would have rated a 5-star but service was poor, need more sauce, but finished before she made her way around again.
