Ray's Pizza

I love that someone behind the counter (cook) always greets us upon entering and when leaving. It's the small things like that that sets a precedence over other businesses. 💯 🙏 Had the a slice of the Grandma pizza and the salad with the strawberries, pineapple and grilled shrimp 😋. Soooo delicious.

The Caprice Pie was absolutely delicious! The perfect balance of mozzarella – just the right amount to keep every bite cheesy but not overwhelming. The sauce was spot-on too, full of flavor and perfectly blended with the fresh ingredients. Every bite was simply perfection. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a pizza that’s both satisfying and mouthwatering!!

I called in today to order to specialty pizza slices. The guy on the phone asked me if I’m ordering anything else and I said no. He told me he can’t place my order for slices for pick up since they don’t do pick up for just slices???! Since when?? I’ve been a customer for a very long time. I’ve done that plenty of times. What’s the difference of ordering them for pick up or in person? Then my husband called 15 mins later and ordered slices to go! The same guy told him they don’t do that for pick up but he will do it for him and put them on the side. Really? Was it because he was a man? You lost a long time customer for bad customer service.

I can eat pizza almost everyday. I was at Ray's yesterday and grabbed some grandma slices and they were exceptional. Went back today and ordered 2 grandma pie's. 1 to drop off as a surprise lunch for family and 1 pie for my house. Hands down, best grandma pie I have tried till date. That's why I'm willing to drive 15 minutes to pick it up. Delicious and highly recommended.

I am usually very pleased with Rays, I am obsessed with their Margherita pie. I requested a special pie, which I knew would cost me extra but not $47.00 for 1 pie!!!! I ordered a veggie pie, xtra Mozzarella added chicken, jalepeños but with the margherita sauce. That is insane and to top it off the pizza was so floppy, it had extra sauce and was not edible. Yes, I spoke with them about the pricing, and apparently I was charged a margherita pizza and he added all the veggies individually as an up charge. He refused to change the pricing, I paid it to avoid any conflict but never again.

I am locked in on the Grama’s Pie. Doesn’t matter what topping I choose, the crust is thin and tasty and there is more garlic in that sauce than I’ve ever tasted before. The guys there keep the environment joyful and fun. I don’t mind waiting and watching for a few minutes.

First time trying this restaurant and I'm very happy with the food. I got the Chicken Caesar Wrap with a wheat wrap and fries. The chicken was delicious and the fries were crispy!! I would definitely come back and try their other meals!

This was a great little place! Nothing special, but very convenient for lunch around the area. I, specifically often go here for lunch when doing some work at the Maurice M. Pine library (I'm an aspiring author), it's a very convenient short walk. Their pizza is quite good; never burnt, thin crust. I also really like their Penne Vodka! I spent around $8.00 just for myself, on two slices of pizza and a bottled soda. So... prices aren't low, though perfectly acceptable, in my opinion. I'd highly recommend this place for any one in the area looking for lunch or dinner!

PROS: the staff is friendly, prices are good, menu variety is plentiful, the atmosphere is good, good amount of parking, inside and outside eating, food tasted great CONS: the entrance to the parking lot is inclined which makes cars scrape their bumpers on the ground. The lot is also small. OVERALL: I'll definitely come back here again, I'll just park on the street

I have been going to Ray's for a while as Ilive literally five blocks away - but there has been a huge decline in everything at this place - the quality of the pizza is awful - oily and soggy - the cleanliness of the place leaves a lot to be desired and last but not least I found a hair in my pizza last time I ordered - nobody wears a hair net - the prices on the other hand have gone up but quality is very low

Pretty disappointed to say the least and I dont write negative comments often. I wish i took a picture but my friends took slices out of the box quick. We all realized cheese was only on the first 1/3of each slice and then the sauce and crust for the other 2/3 which was really weird. Pizza was ice cold too and we picked it up when they said it would be ready, had to reheat in our oven. Garlic knots were okay. I dont know couldve been an off night but im not sure i'll ever order again :/

I have been ordering from Ray's since I've lived in Bergen county. The pizza can be rated 3-4 stars depending on the day. Their Grandma slices are decent with an occasional soggy slice like many others have pointed out. I always order over the phone for pickup. Never any issues until today when my daughter called for pick and was told over the phone by that they do not accept preorders for slices over the phone (We usually order anywhere from 5-10 variety of mixed of Sillian, grandma, and regular slices) and she would need to order an appetizer in order to place in order to get a couple of slices. I started going to pizza town and love it.

Wow, when I say out of this world.... That's an understatement. We had a Grandma Slice, Grandpa slice and an Arbiatta slice. They claim they are the home of the Grandma Pizza. It's hard to argue that statement. It was overwhelmingly good. The crust was very light and tasty. Sauce was perfect. The grandpa slice was a thicker version. A VERY airy crust. This is my buddy's go to slice. It was a little too thick for me but that's my personal preference. One slice is a meal in itself. The chicken Arbiatta slice steals the show. OUT OF THIS WORLD. Nice and spicy, very cheesy and the slice is HUGE. A masterpiece. Definitely give this place a visit if you're with a 100 mile radius. They have indoor and outdoor seating, so relax and enjoy.

Overall, Ray's Family Restuarant has excellent food from Pizza to Entrees. Food is always fresh & portions are good size. Their overall prices are very fair considering the world we live in today. We order from Ray's when we are in town at least 1 to 2x's a week. We spend a lot of money at Ray's. My only complaint with Ray's & this burns my ASS. When you ask for some grated cheese for a Pasta Fagioli, they want to charge you an extra .75 cents or when you want Rigatoni vs Penne as your side, they charge you an extra $1.00. That is BS & PETTY on their part. With all the money we spend there we are not asking for something that WARRANTS an EXTRA CHARGE. As a former Franchise Owner of multiple Restaurants, I never NICKEL & DIMED my CUSTOMERS.

Really good pizza. The grandma pie is consistently good although occasionally soggy so you may want to ask for well done. Traditional pizza is also good. Take out or table service with parking in the rear.

We are locals so we go here or order from here from time to time. Sometimes the food is great and sometimes it's terrible. It's a crapshoot. I'm currently eating dry meatballs & spaghetti. Like it was reheated multiple times. The business is very busy catering to locals so I don't think they really care that much about quality. I still haven't forgotten about the dry beef patty that tasted like dust or the pasta dish that was so horrible that I threw it out. On the other hand we had an amazing plain pizza a couple of times. I also had good spaghetti and meatballs/meat sauce (not today though). You get what you get here. More inconsistent than I'd like. I may order from here again once the thought of my current meal wears off but I wouldn't recommend to a friend without a warning that it may or may not be good.

Best grandma pizza on the face of the Earth done the way you want and I like it lightly done on the bottom. their vodka sauce is very good as well. I would have it delivered though picking up there can be challenging with a place to park it's small inside maybe only eight tables but we went very late so there was no one there but us. out of all the pizza places locally I find this one to be my favorite

Not sure why this place gets negative reviews !! I love grandma, the pinwheels and the chicken salad wrap. The entrees are great and they come With veggies and salad.

Very good place to sit down for lunch. We always order on the phone for pickup and its usually ready really fast. I always get the pizza wrap and Grandmas pie. Ask for it well done and it will come out amazing every time

I live only 5 blocks from Rays so it's just easy to go to but we are done with them. They mess up your food almost Everytime. Out of the last 20 time we have gotten food from here they have messed up something 14 times. I am lactose intolerant. So I have never ordered anything with cheese. I even tell them can you please make sure they know not to put cheese. Even the receipt says NO CHEESE. No lie. Then when they mess your food up. They want their food back or they won't give you your correct order. What business does that. That is so weird. Most place would say to keep it and apologize and make you the correct one. They actually get mad at you for them screwing up because apparently nobody can read or understand English. Very sad. Do not waste your time going there if you have a specific order, custom order or have picky eaters in your family because for sure they will mess it up.

I haven't try their grandma's pizza, I don't even know what it is. I like my pizza with everything on it and they have good options and they sliced are pretty big. The service is ok, for a pizza place you can't ask for a 5 star service. Seating section is pretty spacious, all seasoning on table which is good and parking is fear. I have not yet Rays for dinner but definitely for lunch only. Looks like bad reviews are mostly on nights.

Ordered the grilled caperse panini with fries on the side. The panini was flavorful and delicious. The fries were nice and crispy. Price was right The quality of the food was great

I used to love this place. Sad to say tonight was my last time here. The last 3 times I've been here pizza has been terrible. And their prices have gone up considerably. The menu online shows one price and when you get there it's a totally different price. From what I understand the pizza guy they had quit. Oh well

Ray's is my go to pizza spot in town. They have a wide variety of specialty slices available every day. My favorite is the chicken marsala slice. I also like to go with the grilled chicken wrap. And of course the grandma pizza is fantastic! Ray's is always cooks up your order fast and the staff is very friendly. I'll be going to Ray's for as long as I can!

I tried to order food and the lady over the phone had the worst attitude imaginable. they gave me such a problem ordering. i would never even consider ordering from here again and i would advise everyone else to never order from this establishment. i have nothing but bad things to say.

Worst place.. I ordered a Grandma pie they brought a regular pie and charged me for the Grandma which is way more expensive, then they wanted the regular pie back so they can resell it and the grandma pie was cold..they waited at my door for the regular pie and were banging on the door wouldn't leave so we gave it back.. threatening people and they're NOT Italian.... Ewww is what they are yuck never again and I suggest not to order from them thugs No stars

They're definitely not as good as they used to be. don't think I'll be going back, the last pasta dish I ate here was very salty. I wish businesses would stay consistent

Good pie for Fair Lawn. The "Grandma " pie was very good. Wasn't a true fan of the regular pies, I like thin crust.

I had to wait for 30 minutes for pizza to get ready. I was waiting inside and there were not that many people. The waitress one time wanted us to leave faster when we were eating because they were going to close. Overall the service is not the best. Pizza is good. But I will not go there anymore. Not going to support them.

In an area with so many great pizza and casual Italian, this place is just about average. Have never had a great experience nor a terrible one just so many better options around.

Grandma pizza was absolutely horrible. Nowhere's near how it used to be. Cheesesteak sandwich was disgusting. Barely had any meat on it. And the shrimp parm sandwich was mostly bread and the vodka sauce was like water with zero taste.

What a delicious pizzeria!!! I've had their Cesar salad, pizzas, and pasta fagioli. All of which were so tasty! Their salads are huge and include all different kinds of ingredients (all of which are listed in case you don't want something included in the salad). Pasta fagioli soup had a thick consistency which was so nice because it's either a hit or miss with this type of soup. All the pizzas are always fresh and their staff is super friendly! I have yet to actually sit down in this place as I usually get take out. But I am excited to have a chance to sit down and eat here!!

The pizza was very good and delivery was quick. We ordered 6 pies for a group at work and everyone enjoyed. I can't wait to try other things off the menu.

Delicious eggplant parmesan, penne vodka, meatballs and garlic knots. Office party platters were great. Food was hot and plentiful. Delicious soft bread included too. Great will be ordering again soon

Ordered an Italian sub and a meatball parmigiana sub. The bread was very good but the meat inside both has been reduced over this past year. We are becoming more and more disappointed. The price is up and the meats are down.

Was getting my car fixed around the area and decided to have lunch here in the meantime. Very clean and had wonderful wal art. I got the clam linguine and my friend got chicken broccoli penne. We decided to order a pie and try the grandma pizza. IT WAS AMAZING. The tomato sauce was very sweet and the cheese was gooey. The crust was very crispy and not to hard. 10/10. However the pastas weren't as good as we expected after the delicious pizza. The clam pasta had a fishy taste as if the clams were a cleaned very well and the sauce was watered down. Same for the other. The broccoli was still very hard and the sauce wasn't as seasoned. Overall very good and would deff go back for that pizza !!!

Cute little spot. Food was very good. We had the shrimp and clam appetizer. It was delicious. Plated well and cooked perfectly. For the entrees we ordered chicken saltimbocca, eggplant parm And pasta Sophia( I think?). Everyone enjoyed their meal, though I do knock off half a star because the chicken was slightly overcooked, a tad bit dry but the sauce was so good I'm not complaining as much as I usually would. The bread served was warm and tasty and we each got a serving of bruschetta on crostini complimentary. Very nice experience 4.5/5. Would definitely go back.

We love Ray's. Their pizza is always so great. The staff are always friendly and with pizza the are a million places you can go in town but my family will constantly go to Ray's because it is delicious!

It's a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing pizza's, food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations.

The food here is usually very good. Their pizza is excellent qualify. I have an issue consistently if I call in an order and want to customize the item. There is never anyone answering the phone who can take an order that deviates in any way from the basic menu and manage to communicate this correctly. As long as you want something as it's printed on the menu, it's a safe bet.

I was referred here by a co-worker to try the Margherita pie. I'm glad he told me about it. It's one of the best pies I've had in a long long time. This is my new go to spot for pizza.

This place is absolutely amazing! The customer service is so friendly and fresh. Me and my boyfriend ordered two penne vodka pastas and a personal pie. Absolutely delicious! We kindly encourage anyone who is hungry and looking for fresh and tasty food then this is the right place! Prices are very fair and the atmosphere is very welcoming! We will definitely be coming back!

A lot of the 1-2 star reviews seem to acknowledge that, usually, Ray's knocks it out of the park. One bad experience and folks rush to Yelp to give the entire establishment a bad review, even though they typically have great experiences here. Yelp newbies, I guess. I'm in town visiting family and decided I'd order us a pizza. I chose Ray's (which, back in my day, used to be Corrollo's!) This pizza was sooooo good. We just got a regular cheese pizza, nothing fancy. And it was so delicious. Earlier this week we tried Ness, which really left us feeling underwhelmed. Ray's beat Ness by a long shot. We picked up the pizza shortly after ordering. Note for folks: you must wear a mask when entering! Thankfully I had a mask, so no problems there. Pizza came out hot and fresh. And in the era of covid-19, I was really grateful that they had plexiglass partitions - limiting your exposure to the staff and to the open food. Great job guys!!

I order a lot from this place and obviously no one understands English! delivery guy tonight had a nasty fkn attitude! the person that takes the order doesn't tell the guy to go to the side entrance as he was told also didn't tell the delivery guy I i only had a $100 as he was told! pizza and other food I ordered that came out to $53 I paid for sit in the garbage like the delivery guys fkn attitude should be and the moron that answers the phone And to top it off I tipped the I'm a drunk looking moron $6.

There was a very big selection of pizza. The biggest issue was which one to get. The service was excellent and people were very friendly

Delicious but expensive! $3 each for HALF toppings! $4.50 each for Whole pizza toppings. Thats crazy. I got arugula & roasted peppers on half which came out to $22. CRAZZZZYY

I have ordered from this place several times for take out. As every other time I ordered my pie I ordered it well done, but this was a little less than well done, being upset we called the pizzeria notifying them that the first pie was just unhealthy to eat as it was like soup, but they accommodated us offering to bring us a new pie as they did. Thanks rays but I may have to stop ordering there for a while.

Moving from NY to NJ, I was worried that good pizza would be tough to find but Ray's gets it right every time. Their grandma pie is THE BEST and their garlic knots are always flavorful and perfectly cooked. They have online ordering directly from their website which makes it super easy and they offer curbside pick up which has been so convenient during COVID.

Our favorite local pizzeria! We especially love their grandma pie, it's always a hit when we have guests over. We haven't tried dining in (bc 2020) but they have a quaint dining area in the back and during the summer they had tables set up outside. Service has always been quick and friendly. Highly recommend!

We ordered the "Grandpa Pizza" and honestly it was perfect. Having left NJ a decade ago and now returning i was incredibly glad to have a great pizza. Delivery was pretty quick and the pizza was actually enough for 2 meals for 4. Mozzarella was fresh and not shredded. All ingredients were top notch. Will be ordering again!

Rays consistently gets my order wrong. Was told upon pick up this time that it was indeed right only to get home and find out it's wrong again. Customer service is severely lacking.

We have a weekly ritual to have pizza and enjoy a great meal together. Ray's pizza has par non the best Grandma pie that I have ever had. I thank Jim for introducing this to me and I am ever grateful to him. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys this type of pizza to try it.

Great pizza and pretty good prices. Nice outdoor seating and a great place to sit inside with friends and enjoy some pizza! We love venturing to the other food that the menu has to offer, recommend the garlic knots and the fried calamari! Everything we've had is delicious!

Just went to night. One of my many times and tried the rice balls. Best I ever had. Please try their food. You will not be sorry.
