Ray's Smokehouse BBQ

Quick service, friendly employees, and amazing food. I had the brisket plate with 2 sides, it was only 8.50! Tender brisket, mac and cheese, a giant piece of buttery Texas toast and a nice crisp slaw that wasn't too sweet. I'll definitely be back.

Their own line info said they were open but they were closed and it was a Saturday Go figure

The food is great,gooood mac and cheese, ribs,potato salad,hash and that bread pudding.hmmm good open on Friday and Saturday. Best Barbecue.

WOW! We are really late learning about Rays! But this will definitely be our new Bar BQ joint! Like a review I read, the outside isn't pleasing to the eyes, but the inside was very good, very clean and neat. Next time I will eat in! The young man that took our order was very professional. He let us look at our food before bagging it and I must say, presentation is everything! It looked just as good as it tasted! And the peach cobbler, amazing!

First time trying actual southern bbq and this place is amazing! I got the brisket plate with the mac and cheese and collard greens and the ribs with the mash and mac and cheese and both were SOOO amazing! Definitely check this place out!!

I must say this is the best food I have eaten since I've been in Augusta. I am known as a great cook so most people feel my expectations are too high. However I just wanted something fulfilling and I got that today. I wish I had known about this restaurant earlier. Trust me I will be back. The ribs, macaroni and cheese, texas toast, baked beans and peach cobbler is delicious.....I will brag on this....yes indeed. Friendly staff also

Visited Augusta, GA for the first time over the weekend my husband and I. We were headed back to NC late Saturday and decided to stop by Ray's for my husband to grab some lunch after a disappointing breakfast. At first glance of the building it was deceiving of the delicious food that awaits you on the inside. He went in and came back to the truck with his food. Opened it and it looked amazing. He allowed me, lol to taste his ribs which was so tender and delicious and I got a little carried away with his food that it led me into Ray's to order my own. Try It! You will enjoy it as we did. Rib Plate with ribs, mac/cheese/green beans/ Texas toast. Yum, Yum..

My new favorite BBQ joint. The place appears worn out, but looks are Very deceiving. Hands down the best brisket and ribs I've had in years. The sides are fantastic as well (glazed sweet potatoes!). Also tried the 'short ribs' (AKA burnt ends) and so much flavor (little dry, but flavor made up for it). Desserts are creative and not overly sweet. The best part: great prices.

Not to jinx it, but we're confused why there's not a line out the door. It's really, really excellent bbq. The brisket was outstanding, the ribs and chopped pork delicious, and the sides were out of this world. We had coleslaw, hash and rice, collard greens, sweet potatoes, potato salad, and mac and cheese (these last two were particularly great). The bread pudding and banana pudding were excellent, and the peach cobbler very tasty. All great; come here for an excellent meal.

I truly love this place. After a bit of a disastrous experience at another barbecue restaurant I chose this restaurant that was some miles down the road . The food here was wonderful and delicious. The hamburger was spot-on medium well the fries crispy fresh and hot and the dessert that I purchased was the bread pudding. Honestly I have never tried a bread pudding that contains coconut flakes. And I am not a person who likes coconut flakes but I like them in the bread pudding. I wasn't disappointed whatsoever and I personally enjoyed coming here. Next time I can't wait to try the banana pudding and the peach cobbler

When think of hidden gem you think of Rays hands down very good barbecue everything was on point. Definitely have to come back when I'm in town. Make sure you try this spot they will not disappoint you.

Best little BBQ spot in the CSRA! It is not however located in any of the more prominent areas in town so I'm not surprised I had never heard of it. The restaurant itself is pretty clean, we chose to take the food home tho. Ray's scored a 100 according to the inspection notice on the wall. The food is cooked fresh everyday so if you wait too long the ribs may be all gone by 5pm! I will not be eating any ribs anywhere else!!!

We stopped in this evening and had the most tender and delicious pulled pork sandwich. The sauce was tasty. The owner was very hospitable. I definitely wouldn't mind eating here again. Awesome experience.

Let me tell you, don't let the outside fool you, the food is GREAT..Great flavor, friendly customer service and a nice clean inside. I had the 2 meat dinner, ribs and brisket nice and tender melts in your mouth...

Great food and the prices are better than other BBQ restaurants in the area. Try it!
