After our 6.5-hour cruise, we wanted a light dinner before heading to Anchorage. We found Ray's in Seward, and it turned out to be a great seafood spot. The staff was professional, and the food was good—I'd rate it 3.5 out of 5. The mocktails were nice too, so I'd give them a 3 out of 5. The atmosphere was fantastic, a perfect 5 out of 5!. We had a window table and enjoyed watching a sea otter play with some ducks while we ate. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we’d definitely dine there again when we return to Seward.

Google
Poor Service restaurant I ever visited. We visited this restaurant during our trip to Alaska and had a disappointing experience. We ordered a Halibut Sandwich and Buttery Garlic Steamed Manila Clams but waited over an hour without any updates from our waitress. Other tables received their orders before us, and she seemed more focused on them. After an hour, she finally informed us that our order would take another 30 minutes. Frustrated, we canceled it, but she still brought the clams—without bread—10 minutes later. When I asked for the bread, it took another 15-20 minutes to arrive. She also brought the burger, but it was missing sauce, and overall, the food was not good. The clams were decent, but the bread wasn’t fresh, and the service was rude. Given the high prices, the experience was not worth it. I regretted choosing this restaurant and wanted to share my experience to help others avoid the same disappointment. Be cautious if you're dining with a larger group, as the wait can exceed two hours.

I ordered the halibut with red curry, Alice salad, steamed clams, and crab legs. Every dish was spot on, with fresh seafood that wasn’t overcooked, which is key. The halibut was especially tender, and the nuts on top added a perfect contrast in texture. The salad was fresh and had a nice kick, thanks to the garlic blended into the dressing—it gave it a bit of spiciness that I absolutely loved. The clams, served in a garlic butter sauce with dill, were packed with flavors.

Google
Great restaurant. Conveniently located near the harbor. Not really expensive for the quality of the food. We ate here twice, lunch and dinner. Great chowder, halibut, crab cakes, crab and artichoke dip, sourdough bread and do much more. Didn't try the steaks but they looked good too !

Google
Great food with a great service and awesome view! We tried to walk in on a busy evening, there’s an hour wait for tables, but we got lucky that they have a few bar seating available which we gladly took as they offer full service at the bar. The seafood chowder was indeed hearty, delicious and very filling. Can’t go wrong with a sourdough bread to start with. The ambiance was cozy and the views were lovely.

Google
Cozy restaurant with nice views of the marina. Highly recommend the vegetable tart on the lunch menu. It was like spanakopita plus eggplant, mushrooms, red peppers, and cheese. The fish and chips were okay. The berry crisp changes daily, so be sure to ask before you order. I was hoping for blueberry but it was strawberry & rhubarb.

Google
Great dinner on the water in Seward! Seafood chowder and creamy seafood linguine was just incredible! Oh, and the bread - hot, great outer crust and nice fluffy inside! Chowder was thick and rich, with lots of tender seafood. Linguine was probably the best we’ve ever had with lots of Parmesan, scallops, shrimp and crab. We got there prior to all the tours returning, so do keep in mind they get very busy around dinner time ! Excellent service brought it all together!

Google
The food is amazing and the staff is very kind and attentive. I got the crab cakes, sourdough bread dip, Caesar salad, and bread pudding. All were great, as i watched other peoples food get served it all looked and smelled delicious. Seems very reliable and good. I do not appreciate loud restaurants, but this place was not super loud! Very calm.

Yelp
Service- Excellent! Cordial, quick, friendly. Food-- very yummy. I had the phyllo dough pie thing that had melted cheese, mushroom, pepper (?), either way it was very good. The review is only 4 stars because the crust was tough to knife thru at the bottom. Sourdough appetizer was very yummy and cheap. Hubby had snow crab legs as the special. Crème brûlée was very yummy dessert! Atmosphere- excellent, had dock side view of sea lion munching on lunch. Just lovely view.

Yelp
Better than expected! Had the Alaskan Oysters on the shell that were top notch! I had never seen oyster shells so deep. Very fresh and served with a vinaigrette/onion splash that was also a nice addition. Seafood chowder was thick with a good seafood flavor and filling too; also better than expected. Prices are a bit high I thought but the service was excellent. It's a nice Seward eating spot with a higher end ambiance. I liked it.

Yelp
We walked in and it was a 45 min for 2 people but also they close at 9pm and we came in at 8pm so it was actually nice that they even considered taking us. our server was Dylan and he was really welcoming! We ordered the halibut andaman, the captins plate, and for our starter, we ordered the crab dip. In our opinion, the halibut and the crab dip were really good- the perfect amount of seasonings. The captain plate was lacking some flavor but I'm sure if the prawns and scallops had some more flavor to it, it would've been great! I thought the ambiance would've been fancier but it's pretty casual.

Yelp
Popular seafood restaurant in Seward with beautiful views. Make a reservation so that you get the good tables and forgo the wait. We had some mocktails but it wasn't very good. Skip them. The calamari was decent, but the bread falls off the rings. The seafood chowder was delicious and hearty. The halibut andaman was good with Thai curry and rice, but the curry sauce overpowers the fish. Surprisingly, the broccolini was delicious. The miso sablefish was superb! I highly recommend this dish. The fish was so buttery and the miso compliments it well!

Don K.

Yelp
While in Seward we realized there are not too many spots to get a solid meal. Ray's is one restaurant that combines very good food, decent wine and beer selection on top of a postcard view of the harbor. We started with a half dozen oysters ($23) served with mignonette only. Deep flavors of the sea and harvested from the waters of Washington state. We followed up with ciopinno, the hearty fishermen's stew of mussels, shrimp, scallops, fish and tomatoes, green peppers and onions. Robust and flavorful, slightly spiced and combined with complimenting aromatic herbs and served over linguine. Delicious. My wife enjoyed her pistachio encrusted halibut filet. A large piece of the white, mild cold water fish was served with a curry sauce over mashed potatoes and a side of steamed broccolini. We passed on a number of desserts. Our server was knowledgeable and made sure the kitchen was timely in getting our meals from kitchen to table. Would strongly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
From the service, to the amazing fish, and the stunning views, I loved my experience here. While the tide was going out, I saw a spawned out salmon from the window seat and a few eagles while I enjoyed my salmon salad, cioppino, and berry oat IceCream dessert.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our meal at Ray's Waterfront. The location is beautiful and peaceful, right on the Seward Harbor. I ordered the miso sablefish and it was delicious! Very fresh and the flavors were great. It's a meal I wish I knew how to make myself. A little on the pricey side but many restaurants in the area were comparable.

Yelp
After looking at several menus in the area, we settled on this restaurant. The hostess was awesome and so was our server. We got lucky to get a seat right by the window so we could watch the water. There were a couple of seals and otters playing in the water so that was fun to watch. The menu is quite extensive and we ordered drinks and food. Drinks were OK. My friend ordered the blackberry Mojito and it was sour. Obviously missing something. I got an aperol spritz, which was just ok. Bummer.... I asked if the halibut was locally caught and the waitress mentioned it was not but she had no idea where it was caught lol. I have never eaten halibut so my friend and I split the fish and chips. The fish was mildly fishy, but OK the french fries were all right as well. It was hungry man, fish and chips quality at a four star restaurant price.

Yelp
Great vibe, friendly staff and delicious seafood in a picturesque boat harbor. It's dope! The Miso Sablefish was excellent. I eat at Ray's every time I'm in Seward.

Ed H.

Yelp
Came to Rays after our boat tour of Resurrection bay. It's right on the dock with great views overlooking the marina and harbor. We came around 5:30-6 and there was a huge line out the door and a long wait. However we were able to get seats at the bar so we decided to do that. Rays has a nice ambiance and feel to it with the beautiful views out the window. I started with the gold rush drink and it was tasty. I decided to have the classic cheeseburger. It was ok but nothing to write home about. Come for the views and drinks not the food.

MaryEllen F.

Yelp
We ordered the Captain's Catch and the prime rib. The captain's catch used to be a wonderful mix of fried cod, scallops, shrimp, and crispy French fries. When I received my dinner, there was one lone skewer of overcooked miserable scallops and shrimp, tiny size and cold. An accompaniment of cold rice and green beans joined the child sized plate. The portion was that of a child sized RV dinner. I'll be heading to subway in a few minutes. Plus, the dinner was $37.95. my mother said the prime rib was good. I'm scratching this restaurant off of my list. Save your money, friends.

Yelp
What a great restaurant! I was there as part of the Kendall Auto Group annual fishing trip and got to experience true high quality Alaska seafood. I had the brandy glazed Wild Alaskan halibut. OMG good. We had so many appetizers to share I can't remember them all, but I know the crab cakes, calamari and crabs and artichoke dip were some of them. All GREAT! When in Seward, go to Rays. And the wait staff are great!!

Cliff J.

Yelp
Ray's Waterfront is undoubtedly #1 in Alaska. Perhaps a slight upcharge aka "tourist pricing" but you get an awesome view from the restaurant and the food is amongst the top in my all time faves. Couple this with good service and you see why it's an easy 5 stars! Started off with a sampling of 3 different appetizers, calamari, crab cakes and scallops. Perfection on all 3 and impossible to pick a favorite but the scallops were unlike any other I've had. Main course I opted for Halibut Andaman and it was yet another home run. I'm always a bit skeptical with curry sauces but Ray's nails this one. It pairs like a marriage meant to be atop the macadamia nut crust surrounding an ever so delicious filet of fresh halibut. After 2 immediate wins on appetizers and main course, I had to go for it all and try a dessert. Bread pudding caught my eye and it was an absolute grand slam!!! From the first bite, I was in paradise as this recipe encompasses all things great about bread pudding and elevates it at least 3 notches beyond the "best you've ever had". A total win-win here and true 5 star experience!

Yelp
Need to know - Ray's is serving lunch and dinner. They are located just above the small boat harbor which is very entertaining. Most seats are staggered so there is a nice view from every table. About 4:00 PM the fisherman and tour boats start coming which makes Ray's very busy. So send a member of your party to get you on the list. The Menu is varied but not cleaver. No foodie paradise. Just basic decent seafood and steaks. I enjoy the drinks (which have gotten outrageous in price, $18 for a 16 oz margarita .served over a glass of ice). But one was my limit. My husband's steak was well presented very rare. The sauté was delicious. Salads were crisp. The Caesar was awful. I am sorry but even the teenagers pushed it away. I then taught them to always ask for a taste of the Caesar. You should always ask no matter where you dine as Caesar dressing varies so much. Anyway, I digress. Ray's is a gem for Seward. You enjoy a drink, some good food and your parter or friends. It is especially enjoyable after a day out on the water fishing or sightseeing.

Yelp
Pretty good food stuffs. Tourist pricing but worthy of the cost. Service was quick and friendly. Views are nice

Yelp
I hadn't been to Ray's in a few years and when we couldn't get reservations at any of our other go-to places, even a few weeks out, we made reservations for 7. While we had reservations, we still had to wait about 10 minutes for them to seat us, which was weird since the table was sitting there empty. The place was chaos! Typical tourists piling through the doors and spilling out the entryway. It was extremely loud, both in the bar and dining room. The view is always nice, being right there in front of the docks. Service was good... our server took all orders without writing them down and we ended up with an extra calamari that we paid for, medium rare steak cooked medium well and the side to one dish was incorrect. Who's fault, who knows but the kitchen was blamed! I get that we're in Seward and seafood is what most people eat, but being from AK, I don't dine out for seafood very often. I ordered a Ribeye, and I don't think a grain of seasoning was added to it and it was the one that was over cooked. My husbands strip steak was also bland, however cooked medium rare as requested. Crispy calamari was excellent while Caesar salads and sablefish were enjoyed by others. I was happy that the server left the handheld POS device and walked away... although the gratuity was already included, I prefer when they don't hover while cashing out.

Yelp
Food was excellent tonight, and the service was prompt and polite. Expensive but there's a great view of the harbor from the large windows throughout.

Erin S.

Yelp
We really enjoyed Rays, as we stopped by after our Marine tour because it's located right on the boat dock! The crab was fresh and delicious as always in Alaksa. every restaurant has seafood chowder, but this was the best salmon seafood chowder as it was spicy and the most flavor full. The seafood pasta was filled with fresh Friday of local catch and shellfish. The only downside of this restaurant is after you finish your small half loaf of bread, they charge you for extra bread. The service was very attentive, even though they are clearly understaffed like everywhere. The ambience is beautiful. It's right on the dock and you can see all the beautiful fishing boats come in and the local catch with a view of the mountains

Janhavi M.

Yelp
This was recommended by our hotel front desk as the best seafood restaurant in seward, but am not sure I fully agree with them. The menu is very limited and food is very pricey. Service was a bit cold. That said, there were definitely some nice things that earned this place 3 stars. It is right on the waterfront and the table we were seated in had great views of the harbor. We even saw some harbor seals. The food was a bit bland for our palate but we still liked it. Halibut fish chips were good, with the fish just perfectly covered in batter, not too much not too little. Fried calamari and fish tacos were also good.

Reiley H.

Yelp
The crab cakes and the calamari were really good. The sauce that the calamari came with was delicious. While eating the crab legs I observed that the meat was pretty cold and when I got to the body part, I realized that the meat was frozen still. The service was so slow that it wasn't even worth making a fuss about.

Lisa Y.

Yelp
This restaurant is right on the harbor, with windows showing the water and boats. It was quite busy, so I would recommend reservations. We ordered a crab & artichoke dip to start, which was quite delicious. It had large chunks of crab in the app. For dinner, we ordered the almond crusted halibut (with brocollino, rice pilaf, and curry) and the cioppino, which had so much seafood! Everything was absolutely delicious. SErvice was impeccable, friendly, quick, and attentive.

Azariah H.

Yelp
Long drive south of Anchorage to get here but worth it if you're doing the boat tour thing and like to pair the mariner activities with a little seafood themed cuisine. Salmon is delicious and savory, but the flavors of the miso cod reminded me of a sweet teriyaki fish bowl dish you'd get at a big city Asian teriyaki restaurant just served on a plate. It's okay, but I was expecting savory flavors and wish I got the salmon too. but place has really nice views.

Yelp
Dined in on a Saturday night without reservation as we just got to town. Waited about an hour for a party of 6! Very crowded and small seating/waiting space so I highly recommend to make a reservation if you can. We got really lucky and sat in a spot that had a great view of the water. We were greeted by our server immediately and he took our drink orders, he also told us that the kitchen was backed up but he would gladly put in our orders immediately! I wished I got his name because he was very kind, one of the best servers I've had! We ordered 3 appetizers, the clam chowder (which was amazingly thick and flavorful, the calamari (which tasted fresh and not frozen), and the steam buttered clams?( which were SO SO SO FLAVORFUL!) it tasted amazing with the complementary sour dough bread dipped in it. Which by the way, we had like 3 of them because they were so delicious. Crispy and flaky on the outside and warm and soft (like clouds) on the inside. Captain's Platter- they mistakenly gave us fries instead of rice (but our server offered to bring rice since they forgot) but it was your slightly above fish n chips. The fried fish were big pieces. Halibut special- my brother said "less would be more" Alaskan King Crab- my father said "you go to Alaska to eat crab because it's the best the US has to offer, tasted like the lower 48" Brandy Glaze Salmon- my brother said "taste like burnt salmon" Prime rib- I know it's funny how I ordered this at a seafood restaurant but it honestly was one of the best dishes. The meat was juicy and tender. The prime rib needed a little more seasoning. The mashed potatoes were seasoned perfectly. Overall it was a good experience and beautiful view. Would like to give a shout-out to Mono(?) he wasn't our waiter but seemed to always ensure our waters were filled!

Iman B.

Yelp
I think this was the greatest the restaurant in Seward I went to. You can have a nice view and eat fresh sea foods. We a all loved the foods here and the fact that fish and crabs were delicious and fresh. We tries salmon and halibut which were great. We also tried the king crab which was amazing. The calamari was also good. The service was also good and our sever was nice. Highly recommend this place :-)

Yelp
Wow, what a wonderful dinner experience we had here. Ray's is situated at the Seward waterfront - one of the prettiest I have seen! The views from this restaurant are outstanding - you can see some really cool cruise ships, boats and catamarans at the harbor from here. We also saw some large fish and a couple of otters chilling in the Kenai Peninsula. We went around sunset for dinner which was the best decision ever. They got filled up fast after we went so I highly recommend calling them up for dinner reservations. They have beautiful drinks - definitely try the Blueberry mojito. For starters, we had the Roasted garlic & gorgonzola. The toasted baguette were thinly sliced and the combo of the roasted garlic, olive oil and cheese was delicious! For mains, we shared the Halibut Andaman - so scrumptious! The halibut tasted very fresh. They apparently don't serve any fish that was caught more than 8 hours ago - so it definitely lived up to the hype. It came topped with macadamia nuts and a red curry coconut sauce. Paired with the cilantro lime rice, it was truly the most satisfying meal we had in Seward. Highly recommend if you are in Seward :)

Yelp
Fresh and quality seafood! Came here on an early Friday night for dinner and got seated right away. This place gets packed very quickly so I recommend coming here before 6:30pm. We got seated at the bar but it was fine with us since we could still see the waterfront view from our table. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The complimentary sourdough bread is very soft and goes very well with the pine nut pesto dipping oil and vinegar. My family asked for a second to go with our main courses as well. Cripspy Calamari (3/5) The calamari is a bit soggy and a lot of the crispy coating got separated from the calamari itself. This is not the best I've had but the aioli was good though. Hearty Seafood Chowder (4/5) Thick and flavorful! I would prefer it to have more fish but they are very generous with the potatoes. I like the creamy thickness of the chowder and that it's not overly salty. You gotta try the chowder while in Seward! Buttery Garlic Steamed Manila Clams (5/5) Love dipping bread into this broth! There was only a hint of white wine flavor which I don't mind but would prefer it have a stronger white wine flavor. The clams tasted fresh. Brandy Glazed Wild Alaskan Salmon (5/5) One of my favorite dish for the dinner! The glarlic marsh potatoes are very creamy and the salmon is well seasoned and tender. The roasted veggies give a good balance to the dish. Cioppino - Fisherman's Stew (5/5) Another favorite of mine! Very generous with the seafood and the tomato sauce is on point. This is very good with the sourdough bread as well. Highly recommend to dine here if you visit Seward! This place offer great seafood and he menu has a bit more variety compared to the other seafood restaurants in the area.

Yelp
I would return. The location is in the harbor and the food was tasty. I liked the split level layout of the restaurant. The beer selection is very good and extensive too. Prices are reasonable from my point of view.

Kelly S.

Yelp
This is located right in the middle of the harbor and a free shuttle stop is located pretty close. It has incredible views of the mountains and harbor right from the table. We ate lunch here and the menu had a nice selection of fresh fish/seafood. We tried the crab cakes and salmon tacos. The tacos were delicious and had ALOT of salmon in them. The crab cakes had 2 cakes and a lot of large lumps of crab. They did have a large drink and desert menu but I didn't try them. The staff was efficient and helpful. I really enjoyed this place.

Mia L.

Yelp
We were seated next to the stunning water views. We ordered snow crab, fish and chips, and prime rib. The star of the show was the snow crab. The meat was slightly sweet and succulent. We did not need any butter or lemon. We look forward to coming back.

Cassidy B.

Yelp
Usually love this place but went and surprised my fiancé for a nice dinner and all fish was overcooked. Got the halibut Oscar and so did my friend and both dishes were overcooked. My fiancés salmon was also overcooked. The drinks were tasty (blueberry mojito is very good) and the appetizers are always great. Was just really disappointed that all fish was overcooked especially specializing in seafood in Seward.

Christi K.

Yelp
Ray's is a must during your time in Seward, Alaska! View, food, service were top notch just like the meals. Our party of 4 enjoyed everything they ordered and disappointed we were too full to try desserts.

Stacia J.

Yelp
the scallops, oysters and crab! Staff is outstanding! The staff are friendly and the seafood is fresh! We love going there for the oysters! The best food in town hands down!

Michelle K.

Yelp
Server was great, but everything big else was just OK. I had the Captains platter and it was not $38 worth of seafood. You can't order just a cup of chowder, which makes no sense. My husband's Salmon, why we came, was dry and not seasoned well.

Dawn V.

Yelp
Ray's is one of the most consistent restaurants I know! Every time I eat here the food is good, the service efficient and the clams are delicious! I recommend Ray's to everyone!

Lon Kai P.

Yelp
Summary: Service great, some of the dishes were fantastic. Pros: - Calamari (not pictured) was awesome with a lovely spice to it, 5/5. - Creamy seafood linguine had a little too much thyme for my liking but a solid 4/5. - Crab cakes were great, fresh and crispy 5/5. - Halibut fish and chips were solid, the fries have a lovely battered crisp to it, and the coleslaw was surprisingly well balanced 4.5/5. - Seafood chowder (not pictured) looks gross but tastes great 4.5/5. - Cool decor and great view of the small boat harbor. - Above average service with a friendly waitress and fairly swift fulfillment of food orders. Cons: - pricey (but that is Seward) Overall: I withheld 5 stars as I think that should be reserved for places that really blow you away with the combination of food, service, and value. This is a fantastic restaurant and I would definitely come again, but I wouldn't say this is a one-of-a-kind place.

Laura L.

Yelp
Hard pass! Ordered 4 meals. My dad and I got salads with blacked fish, my daughter got a burger and my husband ordered chicken. Salads with fish were okay but the chicken showed up after my dad and I were done eating. The chicken and my daughters burger were raw they didn't charged us for those two items but the meal was still 140! And two people Couldn't eat! Do not go. We found a Mexican restaurant a few streets away and it was over the top good.

Yelp
If you're planning a trip to Seward--skip this one and try the other restaurants. The food is good, but the waitstaff are very rude. We are visiting Seward this spring and we were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. We came in, a table for 2, in the evening for dinner. Our server was polite, if a bit short, and the food was good (chicken and halibut). We were a bit quite and sluggish from the jet lag still, but not bothering anyone and being rather friendly I think. If this were my only experience I'd rate higher. However, we came back for dinner the next day with my sister and parents who were joining us for a few days on the trip, and it was awful from the get go. When we entered the restaurant, as the hostess began show us to our table, a group of servers by the bar saw my partner and I and stated, "here they come" in a extremely rude tone to the rest of the group, who turned to us. No idea what we did to deserve that. Very hurtful, reminds me of middle-school to be honest. When we got our table we ordered some drinks and apps and chat. When we order entrees 2 of our party got a burger (from the lunch menu by request), and they were very clear that they wanted a plain, well done burger. The exact words were, "plain well done burger, just meat and bun"--it came with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onions. One in our party had to request a new fork, as it had fallen--that never came. I know from the night before our entrees came with bread--no bread until requested and no oil. One person in our party ordered a soda--never came, so she asked our server for the soda, and the server was very sassy about it (customer service sassy, i.e., nice words rude tone). She was just very unhappy to be there. Not sure what her problem was but all the staff was like that, rude in the quiet way--odd looks, hushed tones, and what have you. We wanted to get dessert but wanted to get out of that place so we didnI've been a server so I don't fault this for rude customers, but we were very polite both the night before and at dinner. I'm curious what it was about us that warranted the rude welcome and treatment, I don't think theres anything that does. I will not be returning nor recommending them to anyone.

Gail M.

Yelp
Very good lunch Ray's wasn't our first choice for lunch but we ended up here and are really glad we did. The lunch food wasn't much more expensive than other places, the food was good (burgers, chicken sandwich, fish 'n chips), the atmosphere, view, and service were great. Definitely recommend Ray's for lunch!

Nicole B.

Yelp
We LOVE Rays! It's always very busy and packed but that should tell you right away how things are going to be. The food is SO good. We have eaten at the bar a few times too and loved it. The service is top notch, friendly, great atmosphere. The food you can tell is made from scratch. Everything that we have ever gotten here is beyond amazing. You are able to call and make reservations. They also give you text message updates on your table, which is awesome. The bathrooms are always clean, love the view and their drinks are so good too. A few of our favorite things are the clams, cheese burger, chowder, really anything you get is going to be good.

Bessie W.

Yelp
Food was below average, in particular the halibut and cod were totally not fresh. Service was not great. 20% grauity was automatically added on but the fine prints on the merchant service machine were almost illegible, so we gave another tip. Definitely there are better restaurants in the area.

Kirt V.

Yelp
We were here last night for dinner. Had the halibut. Others had fried halibut fingers. Fingers were good but my halibut was overcooked and dry.

Sonjia B.

Yelp
Cosy dinner for two. Amazing views. Delish food. We had the broiled salmon with potatoes. The presentation was stunning & very tasty. We ordered sourdough starter & loved the attention to detail with the creative presentation. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. We came in late on a Sunday night and we were really happy to find this wonderful restaurant (a highlight for our time in Seward) open and able to seat us. This was our 25th anniversary AND Mother's Day. Two wonderful reasons to celebrate & create beautiful memories we will cherish.

Alexandra N.

Yelp
The seafood linguine and salmon were very good as entrees. We also enjoyed the crab dip and calamari.

Ann K.

Yelp
Beautiful view right on the waterfront! The four of us each got different entrees. Sablefish was a nine out of ten, cioppino was seven, ribeye was a nine, and salmon was sadly a three. I was so excited to have salmon in Alaska, but it was quite dry and lacked flavor. Our service was good.

Olia M.

Yelp
Place with the view! But not with so much good food. I understand it's a family owned business etc but we've eaten here a few times last year and this year and it's getting worse, in my opinion. It's not a cheap place after all. I enjoy the view I wish I could enjoy their food. Steamers were so crazy salty and so empty, I literally just ate broth with onions and with some bread for $25+ ( a bit insane) barely tasted clams there. Crab legs were good though for $45 I think. My friend ordered some salmon with veggies and it was so dry , she said she enjoyed the potatoes best:) Well I understand the place was busy but we waited for our food for about an hour and my crab cakes arrived within 5 minutes and I ordered them afterwards ( I was grateful of course but a little suspicious;) I think my husband liked his Ribeye but wasn't crazy about it. Our server was a nice man but couldn't care less if we needed anything We had no forks no napkins and two kids at our table. I don't think I feel like coming back I'm sorry

Yelp
We had dinner at Rays and it was a bit of a mixed experience. Our server, Anasatia, was wonderful, really friendly and attentive, and she even made my tough to please mother in law laugh, which was a miracle. We had to wait quite a while for our food, though. The salmon was fresh and tasty, but they were out of a lot of stuff on the menu, which was disappointing. The view of the harbor was beautiful and the vibe was relaxed. However, the prices were pretty high for what we got. Ray's has a great location and fantastic service, but they need to have more menu items available and make sure the prices match the quality.

Yelp
For many reasons, Ray's became our regular dinner spot while staying in Seward. First, it was right across the street from our hotel. There are not a lot of dining options in the harbor area in mid-September so we felt like we lucked out with Ray's being so convenient. Second, the view of the harbor is amazing. It is fun watching the boats come in and out and sighting the occasional otter and birds. We were lucky to score a window seat every night we came. Third - the service is very good. We had three different servers and all were professional and friendly. Since it was the end of the season and not all items were available, they were good about letting us know which wines on the list were still in stock and if our first choice was not available, provided an appropriate alternative. There was some wait time to get in, but the hostess managed the crowd like a pro. She was upfront on how long the wait would be, and most nights it was less. The longest wait for a table for us was just under 30 minutes. Fourth - the food was good - not swoon worthy, but decent. I very much liked the halibut picatta and the Salmon. The seafood fettuccine was a bit heavy, but was tasty. They even made me a special order without the scallops. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in Seward even if this was not the only option.

Yelp
The views at Ray's waterfront are incredible. That being said, without reservations on a weekday night, expect to wait about an hour to be seated (you can walk around and explore other shops though so that's fine)! The staff are all really kind however the food isn't the best we had in anchorage. The salmon we got was a little on the dry side and the drinks were more syrup tasting than anything else. This would make for a cute date spot but the food isn't the best and you definitely pay the premium for the views. I think this was our most expensive dinner in 2 weeks traveling Alaska
