I stayed here with a group of 19 Americans. The hostel was clean. The kitchen was excellent. The cafe within the hostel served amazing cakes and a solid breakfast. And the owner was incredibly nice. She was such a contrast to my experience at the Opera Hostel the previous year. Also, while re4hostel is a little bit of a walk from the train station it's still fairly close to the city center and the walk from the station is through a nice park. Highly recommend.

This hostel is comfortable, clean, and in a great location. It's easy to get to the old town and the train station from here, but it is still pretty quiet. I stayed in a double room and the price was very good. Staff was helpful and the breakfast was very good. Like many hostels you have to pay a bit extra for linen and towels but it was also reasonably priced.||||Unfortunately there is no wifi in the rooms. There is comfortable seating downstairs where there is wifi, it's a bit annoying to have to go all the way downstairs to use it.

We booked one of the apartments and were more than surprised about the size of it. It's really generous and spacious as well as the kitchen and the bathroom. ||||The room was modern, clean and equipped with a TV including a cable connection with national and international channels, a nice big bed, a sofa and enough storage room for two people. ||||The kitchen was fully equipped to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner by yourself with a small dining table. There's nothing more you could ask for.||||The bathroom was brilliant, simply because it was big enough to hold a bathtub. ||||The staff was always friendly and very helpful, knowing their way around Erfurt and beyond.||||Locationwise it's perfect. It only takes a 10-15 min walk to reach the city center and famous tourist attractions such as the dome, the Anger or the Krämerbrücke.||||I'd suggest you book your room with breakfast as it was plenty to give you a good start in the day. ||||All in all, we'll definitely be back again during our next stay I'm Erfurt.

One of the best hostels I ever stayed! Staff is so sweet, they make sure guests enjoy their stay and being comfortable so they upgrade as possible as they can. Room and bathrooms are clean. Location is convenient, next to the train station and not far away from the old city center. Oh, don't miss their home baked sweets :)

The hostel is clean and spacious. Friendly staff. However, at a total price of about 20 Euro for tax+linen+bed in a 3 ppl dorm, I would have expected slightly better facilities. After 10 pm, the reception is empty and the common room with kitchen is inaccessible. Also the bedding is quite thin and small. Personally, I would have appreciated curtains that are able block the light a bit in the morning. But maybe that's just me.

This was a great place for our family of 3 to stay. We had a triple room with 3 beds and a sink. The bathrooms were down the hall. The room was quite spacious and included a table, 2 chairs, 4 lockers. It was next to the train tracks, but with windows closed, the noise was not a problem. The curtains were thin cotton and let light in. ||||The facility did not have a kitchen, but we were told it was being added. There was free Wi-fi in the lobby that worked well.||||The location worked well for us. It was 2 tram stops from the main train station and opposite the old town. The area was residential and seemed safe. I never saw shady characters as we walked from the tram stop. ||||We paid extra for breakfast and thought it was well worth it. It was a nice buffet, all you could eat, of good quality food. It included some meats, cheese & yogurt.||||My only complaint is the dim lighting in the hall. Not only are the lights on timers, but there are few lights that are "can" lights pointing up to the ceiling, so when they are on, they are not giving much illumination to the hall. The poor lighting gives the hall an eery feeling.||||I would agree with the other reviewer who said that this is not a party hostel; however, there is a nice courtyard where a large group of people gathered one night. Our room was on the other side, so they did not keep us up. Judging from breakfast, it was a group of all ages that I'm guessing were family who were there for an event in town.

The hostel is perfect: clean, safe, good location and price. It has a vintage atmosphere, but all the bedrooms and bathrooms are new and very clean.There is a Cafe in the hostel, with amazing handmade cakes. The breakfast is very good and completed.All the people, especially Sebastian, the manager, are very kind, generous and helpful. The best place to stay in Erfurt!!!!

Fantastic hostel 10 minutes walk from the old town Erfurt. Lovely rooms and one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept in! Only down side was we could not get WiFi in our room as we were quite high up, but nice cafe area to sit and get online. Would definitely stay here again.

My name is Bryce Anderson. I came to Erfurt, Germany to play tenor sax with my good friend Jurgen Kerth, many years ago. I stayed at RE4 Hostel and I'm here to tell you, it was ONE OF THE GREATEST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE. Talk about a great place. The people that work there, the food, the place itself, just awesome. I wanna take all my family members there and take over the place. The people that work thee, so friendly and nice...OMG!! What a great experience. And the people staying there, just great people. The travelers!! Great! So nice and really hip. I loved it. I really love German people! Everybody was so nice to me. Really wanna go back. And while I'm out here, I would like to take this time to apologize to all of Germany.......FOR DONALD TRUMP!! HE IS WORSE THAN G W BUSH!!!! AMERICA IS TURNING INTO A TURD POOL!!!

This Hostel is located in the old Police Station just 10 minutes walk from the center of the city and old city. They cater for all types of guest, from the ones who want to travel and stay as cheap as possible, to those like myself who prefer hotel quality but Hostel prices. I stayed in a double room with a shared bath room with one other room, as well we had our own kitchen to use. The reception staff were very friendly and keep the recpetion maned up until 22:00, when the hostel closes for the night, but with a back door for guest you can come and go as you please. I found this place to be very clean and mostly quite all the time, the only time i heard noise was when a big group of people moved through the building. All in all a very posative experence.

Convenient location with very friendly and helpful staff. Super clean, quiet and big rooms! Best breakfast buffett ever! Overall: EXCELLENT.
