Real Groovy

There are friendly staffs and there are various genres of albums. There were interesting clothes and hats, and there were a lot of props and books. The space was spacious, so it was comfortable even if there were a lot of people, and it was good to spend time.

Excellent friendly service from GH today, very impressed by this young guy, very refreshing. Simply just purchasing an album cover frame, he wanted to know what album I was going to place in it. And even more impressed you had heard of Ultravox, and the album is 45 years old this year. Keep up the outstanding work GH, cheers! 🫡

You may want to reconsider your incredibly off-putting loss prevention strategy. Expecting people to place their handbag in an unsecured open faced cubby at the top of the escalators where their personal possessions can easily be uplifted by anyone coming in or out, is grossly offensive to customers like myself who come in with expectation to be treated with descency as a PAYING customer. I understand retail theft is a chronic issue however, you are profiling everyone as having dishonest intent. I work with retail management myself and we would never treat customers like this. Absolutely disgusting experience. Based on your response below and your responses to other posts, you clearly have no respect for customers. I was given no option to take my small bag with me. There was no politeness with the request to put my bag in the cubicle. The level of rudness obviously filters from the top. Perhaps you should self reflect on the numerous online posts etc that speak to the poor service your store offers these days.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, they turned excess CDs and DVDs/Blu-ray disc's into vouchers to get more cool stuff! Books, DVDs, CDs, and Iconic Collectables, all under the one roof- THE PLACE OF COOL 😎 STUFF for over 40 years! An Auckland Icon!!!

WANRNIG new vinyl sellers. The guy who handles the trades counter will RIP OPEN BRAND NEW factory sealed clear covers with stickers on them to "check the condition" of the vinyl inside. I'm glad I stopped him from ripping open a second item. Very amateur service from this department of Real Groovy

I’m a new collector and this place got some great collection and great vibes. Love this place and really enjoy coming here, can’t leave here without buying at least 3+ records everytime. Most staff are very lovely and helpful, except this one girl with injured face unfortunately have a disgusting attitude - a huge let down of this place.

The shop has a great mixture of new and old records, books, and other merch. I spent lots of time digging and finding gems at decent prices (although $6 for the 45 Singles did limit me in that area) I visited from overseas and hope to visit there next time I am I am in Auckland.
