We had a great stay. We had 3 rooms and all of them were clean and comfortable. The location makes everything accessible by foot. The service was great from the beginning. They answered all our questions and made great suggestions. They got us a cab, who turned out to be a great resource for us moving around the city. They have a nice bar in the hotel, and it makes it easy to have a night cap before bed. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Nice new hotel, with spacious, clean, modern rooms. The checkin was a breeze. I had a room with 2 double beds all for myself at an unbeatable price (an incredible promotion from a third-party). The mattress was very comfortable. The room had a large window (no view unfortunately, only that of an ugly parking structure across the street) with blackout shades. The window opens, but there's no mosquito net. The room has A/C, a TV, a sofa, a desk+ chair. Only one power outlet was working though, the one next to the bed was not, but for me that was no bother. Good size bathroom. The shower head is fixed, unfortunately, but that's nit-picking. There's a safe in the room, and a coffee machine that needs a filter, so I didn't use. Staff was efficient and helpful, the location near Dos Templos is excellent.

The hotel is minutes away from many restaurants and the zona centro. The staff is friendly and very helpful; I had an incident of losing my cell and they were so quick in helping me out. Their gym is on top of the level so it was nice working out and looking out; they have treadmill, eleptical, bike, and weights. They also have an on site taxi which is cheaper than those nearby.

Great price in Centro Historico. Secured underground parking. At the front desk we were offered two options for rooms. Service was quick and professional. The restaurant breakfast was good and cost us 470.00 including two cappuccinos. Lots of hot water and strong enough WiFi to stream a movie. The area around the hotel is run down but unfortunately that describes a good part of GDL Centro.

I used to think this was a nice place to stay, but after the experience, I will tell everyone to stay away they will not accommodate you if you’re 30 minutes early they’re rude they make you wait till 3 o’clock on the dot before they give you a room. The restroom showers have no doors the showers get wet. The water comes out of the restroom. The sheets are dirty…

Rooms are clean and large enough. Unfortunately, noise from neighbors and outdoors is problematic. Location is good and staff are very helpful and nice. Language can be a barrier. Lots of food vendors within walking distance as well as stores and the cathedral and square.

Google
DO NOT STAY HERE - they denied us entry to our room at 2am in the morning after we paid up front - they also did not refund us. we had a dog with us and expedia search results said they were a dog friendly hotel. They denied us entry because we had a small dog in a pet crate. They were not reasonable, cold and horrible to us. Left us in the street in downtown Guadalajara at 2am. Horrible experience with porter and receptionist.

Enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The staff were great and the room clean and comfortable. In my opinion, the price was higher than preferred.Good location and walkable to stores, cafes, restaurants, pharmacy, etc.

Yelp
This hotel is freaking awesome. It's so nice and clean and the rooms are super spacious. It's right in downtown and you can walk to a lot of paces. The also offer parking and there is a restaurant in the hotel as well as a bar and a gym. I would definitely stay here again. They also had the cutest art gallery and art pieces throughout the hotel.

Yelp
The people here are very nice especially the concierge Christopher. He's the only one that spoke some English. He will definitely go out of his way to help you. The rooms are lovely and it's right in the middle of all the action and Guadalajara. Booking.com will probably have the best priced rooms. The lobby is lovely the bathrooms are clean and the cafe is nice and convenient if you don't want to go out.

Yelp
As previous yelpers have mentioned, the hotel provides transportation from the airport to the hotel. Our driver was waiting for us when we landed, even though our flight was 3 hours late arriving. The fare is $20 U.S dollars. Upon arrival to the hotel, we were greeted and immediately checked in. Very welcoming service. Overall, the hotel is beautiful. Very clean! Rooms aren't super huge but we didn't feel like we needed a large room. Beds were comfy, the tv had 2 English speaking channels. Shower was wonderful. Unfortunately, we never had a chance to eat at the restaurant. There is a bar on the 2nd floor with an outdoor patio. Great place for drinks and they have a food menu too. Ernesto was our bartender and couldn't say enough good things about him! He was very attentive, made one of the best margarita's ever! Highly recommend checking out the bar! Location is perfect. About 3 blocks from the center square and lots of restaurants. We walked around day and night and felt safe walking around. The concierge did advise of where not to walk around. Very easy to take an uber anywhere you need to go also. Will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
We recently spent a week here and our biggest regret is that we left! The other reviews that compliment the staff are on point: Every single person he encountered was courteous, helpful, friendly, professional.... Every positive adjective you can imagine. Here's a specific example of what I mean: When departing, it's typical for one to say "hasta luego" ("until later") or "hasta pronto" ("until soon") to the staff in the lobby. And their response is typically the same. But at the Hotel Real Maestranza the doorman responds, "Estaremos esperando" ("We'll be waiting"). It's a very small thing, but it makes a world of difference. Our room was quiet; the linens were the highest quality, and I was pleased to have a LOT of pillows. Housekeeping was to a very high standard. And we had a spectacular view of the city. In terms of a base of operations for exploring Guadalajara, one couldn't ask for more. (Our room did have a slight odor in the bathroom. That's common to Mexican plumbing. It didn't bother me so long as we kept the door closed and the fan running. Normally I would deduct a star for this, but the overall experience was so satisfying it seems like I'm looking for things to quibble over, so I'll stop.) The location is perfect; just far enough from the cathedral plaza to be out of the crowds, but centrally-located enough that everything the city has to offer is close-to-hand. Special shout-out to Ernesto, Humberto and Victor: You guys are AWESOME and I can't wait to be back with you! Highly recommended! I'll see you there!

Yelp
Very clean hotel in a convenient location. From a value perspective, this place can't be beat.

Yelp
This hotel is absolutely wonderful! I recommend booking here if you're looking for great customer service, excellent location, exceptional food within the hotel and around the hotel as well as free parking. Our stay here was beyond amazing. We were greeted by Victor who is amazing when we first arrived and he made us feel very welcome and right at home. Everyone from their front desk, to their private bar, to their bellhops were absolutely wonderful. The hotel is super clean and the rooms are very, very comfortable with excellent wifi and smart TVs. I can't wait to return!

Yelp
Rooms are awesome and is walking-close to landmarks. The buffet on the entry level is basic but the servers are very accommodating. It seems that there are a lot not Americans staying here. Don't be afraid to say hello to strangers while on vacation! A lot of times people just stare at each other--smile and say hello. It's awesome.

Yelp
I cannot stop raving about this adorable hotel! I'll try to make this short and sweet for a person considering this hotel in the future: Pros - Amazing customer service! Really kind, attentive, and welcoming staff. - In a convenient location. Walking distance to the Guadalajara Cathedral, Plaza de Armas, Palacio de Gobierno... even Mercado San Juan de Dios is close by! - Very affordable, cost us $169 with taxes+fees for a room with two double beds for two nights - Felt safe walking around here during the day and afternoon -OXXO across the street - Modern style, aesthetically pleasing - Comfy beds and pillows Cons - Didn't feel safe when walking at night around the hotel, but the hotel itself is very safe. Just like any big city, weirdos walking around at night... - Shower is weirdly built. Shower head is very cool, but water spills out of the shower area because there is no door. We just put a towel down on the floor where the glass ended to absorb any water that splashed out. Overall, highly recommend this hotel!!! You can easily get around the cons and enjoy your stay.

Yelp
Avoid this hotel at all costs, especially if you are American. Friend was robbed while out at the near by clubs. I asked the front desk multiple times to call the police and they laughed and didn't do it. I was finally able to get ahold of the police and they came. The front desk people said that they didn't understand English and didn't understand what I was saying; however, when I made remarks he was able to comment, confirming, that he did in fact speak English. There are plenty of nicer places in the area, just stay some where else.

Yelp
Great hotel, absolutely nothing negative to say about my stay here. The staff were happy and attentive. The rooms were immaculate and beautiful. The air conditioner is ice cold. The in room coffee was delicious. The shower was hot and the water pressure was perfect. Theres a blow dryer and an iron with iron board in the room. The bed was soooo comfy with great pillows! The bar and the bartender was great...made a perfect margarita and the nachos with guacamole were yummy! The concierge was completely helpful, they even set up all of our cabs to our exact locations (with up front pricing) every time we went somewhere...including Tlaquepaque! This will be our hotel in Guadalajara from now!!

Mario C.

Yelp
Highly recommend this new hotel. Staff is friendly and the whole place is very clean. The decor is trendy and classic at the same time. We enjoyed breakfast daily at El Chato restaurant located with in. Walking distance to shops and restaurants as well as historic landmarks. Great price and location.

Yelp
AMAZING!!! From pick up at airport to drop off at end of trip the entire staff all get 5 stars!!!! I had called the hotel a few days prior and they arranged a driver to pick us up from the airport. They were right up front waiting for us with a sign with our last name on it.. We felt so important! Upon arriving at the hotel we met with the concierge Victor who listened to what we wanted to do while in town and he made it ALL happen! We got to Guadalajara and knew we wanted to see the día de los muertos festivals but didn't know where they were taking place we also came with recommendations to do the bigger well known tequila tour but once we saw the pics of the smaller ones we changed our minds and decided to do the tour Victor had for us. And we were glad we did! We asked him to try to locate tickets for us to the soccer game for the following night and he said it was a popular game he wasn't sure he would be able to get them but he got on the phone with the chivas stadium right then and there in front of us and and they told him they were closed. He told us he would keep trying. He later called our room and told us he had gotten us tickets.. That same afternoon we asked for a driver to take us to the festival in Tlaquepaque. The town that was recommended for the día de los muertos festival and it was exactly what we came to Mexico to see! Again driver was right at drop of location to pick us up after the festival. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant the next morning and were pleased with the buffet selection. We went on the tequila tour that picked us up from the hotel and dropped us off back at the hotel. We went to our room rested and came back down to the lobby as Victor had again arranged for a driver to take us to dinner at a restaurant he suggested, and had called them to make reservations for us and asked them to give us a tour. The restaurant,Santo Coyote was insanely spectacular. A show, live mariachi and the desert table, Omg!!! Karina, gave us the grand tour of the private upstairs room and told us about all the paintings and the tequilas. There was something magical about the whole restaurant. We called the hotel and asked for them to send a driver and again they were right there in front waiting for us. The following day we had the driver drop us off at the Chivas game, once we got in we realized Victor had really come through for us with second row seats!!! He must know someone famous or some pretty popular people to have gotten us these great seats! The streets close during the game so our pick up location was different than drop off but Octavio, our driver, parked his car and came running to find us and lead us to where he had parked. The hotel has their own contracted drivers who get to know u and take u exactly where u want to go and make sure u get picked up from there. Thank you very much Victor, Octavio, Kevin and everyone else who was there to greet us, give us suggestions, drop us off and pick us up clean our room or just smiled at us and held the door open for us! We will definitely be staying here again. We already have plans to come back!

Yelp
Great hotel! The staff is super helpful and full of advice. Bellman at the door at all times which made me feel safe. Large rooms, clean, and great housekeeping. The hotel bar is awesome! The bartenders the two days we went were awesome! They even put on the Dallas Cowboys game for us. Netflix on the TVs which I wasn't expecting. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
This is one of the nicest Hotels I have ever stayed at. Everyone is super friendly. They are always there to help and answer any questions they go out of their way to help! The hotel is extremely clean and modern and is in the middle of all the action. I will recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. I wish I could give them more stars! Shout out to Daniel and our concierge Victor you guys are great.

Yelp
Hotel was very nice. All the employees were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the tour they recommended turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Beds were comfortable and the ac was cold. Used the gym which had a nice view of the city. Went to the bar 2x and the bartender was knowledgable and friendly. Prices were all reasonable and we will stay again next time we are in town.

Yelp
This is probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! The staff here are super nice and helpful, they don't hesitate to go out of their way to make things better for you. The concierge is extremely helpful and nice, he offered many tours and things for us to do around in Guadalajara. I especially like how it's close to the center of town and everything's close by. The restaurant staff is also very nice and the service is amazing. Both the concierge and the restaurant staff helped my family set up a surprise birthday for my step dad and we were extremely satisfied and thankful for it, especially to the concierge who went out of his way to get the cake and everything set up for us.

Yelp
Excellent service from the very entrance to the room server wow very clean very nice furniture Super close to cathedral and San Juan de Dios

Yelp
If you've never traveled to Mexico and are hesitant about picking a hotel this is the one for you. Very clean and safe. There is a 24 hour doorman and desk clerk. The front desk was so helpful with every detail from offering us bottled water, to helping us print out our travel reservations on their computer. Rooms looked brand new and beds were like sleeping on a cloud. Their bar offers 2 for 1 happy hour and they have a restaurant as well though I didn't have time to experience either. This place definitely caters to Americans. They will answer any question you might have and will even offer your advice for tours and car services. It was on my last day staying there I realized everyone spoke English as well so do not be shy if you need any advice navigating the beautiful city!

Yelp
If you're going to Guadalajara and want to be near "el centro" aka down town, this is the hotel to stay at. The hotel itself is amazing, super clean, modern, pretty, the staff is great and very attentive to our needs. The room was so nice clean and comfortable. I was pretty amazed how great this hotel was and for sure will be booking again if I stay in Guadalajara again. The spot is convenient, walk distance distance to a lot of places like el Mercado de San Juan De Dios (huge farmers market with food, produce, clothes and goodies), a lot of little food spots, we went to La Güera a small restaurant around the corner of the hotel with breakfast and lunch food, delish! Everything is super close, my boyfriend and I just walked, no need to grab a taxi or uber, unless you don't like to walk. I highly recommend this hotel, don't hesitate!

Yelp
Look no further! awesome hotel! My family and I stayed here for 6 nights and was always impressed with the cleanliness of the room and professional service by the staff; especially the night crew! this hotel is within walking distance to the historic district of Guadalajara, shops, and restaurants. I could not be any more impressed with this hotel. Thank you Hotel Real Maestranza!

Yelp
Very clean and beautifully designed hotel. Also very friendly staff. I loved the way we were treated. The food could of been a little better. But over all my fiance and I had a nice stay. We stayed for a week and got a deal.We recommend this hotel!

Yelp
Hotel is newly remodeled, super chic, clean, and the staff is some of the best staff I have ever came across (other than Japan). We travel often and this experience was absolutely amazing. They care and cater to you. Made early check in possible, last minute reservations (we added another night), an example of the great service, I was going to the oxxo down the street late at night while my boyfriend was sleeping to get a coke and the bell boy named Jesus followed me out and said he would keep an eye on me, he watched me from the front door until I came back, it was such a relief. And while having breakfast one of the workers came by and asked us about not only our stay but our vacation, they made recommendations and even called our taxis. It was above and beyond service!

Brenda D.

Yelp
Less than a yr old nice and clean. The staff is very friendly (Hello Daniel & Victor!) and accommodating. The location is great, central. Would stay there again.
