Record Bar JBC

This bar has misleading seating fees, as noted in previous reviews. I was unexpectedly charged an additional 500 yen due to a “DJ workshop” taking place that night. However, rather than enjoying music with my drink, I was subjected to DJ instruction in Japanese, at a record bar. A cover charge would make sense for a lively event with music, but in this case, the fee felt unreasonable—especially given that the menu explicitly states that seat charges are already included and they were charging for 2000 yen just to participate in the workshop.

Typical record bar in Japan. No seating fee posted out front but once you sit down the menu says there is a fee of 500 yen per person. It also says that price is included with the drink price. Neither of these were true. The seating price was 1000 yen per person and a separate charge outside of drinks. Can probably get better value elsewhere.

Resto-Bar avec une ambiance unique et sympathique de DJ aux vinyles qui s’occupe de l’ambiance. Les styles varient on m’a dit, quand j’y était c’était de la Jpop vintage. Cool!

진보초에 숨어있는 보석같은 뮤직바! R&B, 힙합, 쇼와가요, 재즈 등 매일 다른 장르의 음악을 특집으로 진행해서 갈 때마다 분위기가 색다릅니다. 인스타그램에서 어느날짜에 어떤 장르인지 캘린더를 확인하고 가는 걸 추천합니다. 다양한 디제이분들이 플레이해주시는데 언제나 음악이 정말 좋습니다. 사장님도 직원분도 손님들도 다들 친절하셨어요. 보통 1000엔 정도의 뮤직차지가 있습니다. 술과 음식도 맛있고 특히 까르보나라와 가라아게가 맛있었어요!

神保町の路地に漏れ聴こえる音楽に誘われて、神保町唯一のレコードバーにふらり。 たまたまこの日は昭和歌謡ナイト🙆‍♀️ ナポリタンとレトロかわいいカクテルをいただきながら、昭和歌謡の沼にどっぷり。DJさんのパフォーマンスも最高なエンターテイメントで、みーんな笑顔。ピースフルな盛り上がり方でした👏 昭和歌謡以外にも、R&B、ファンク、ジャズ、ヒップホップ、ハウスetcその日によってかわるらしく、今度はファンクとジャズ狙いうちで行きたい〜！ふらっと一見さんでもスッと馴染める懐の広い雰囲気もよき。 素敵な時間をありがとうございました &ご馳走様でした🤍
