Fantastic store. We live in Dallas so we visit when we see a show at Tulips next door. They have a great selection of vinyl, we purchased some really great records there that we haven’t seen at other stores. I recently discovered the greatness of their online store through the Shop app and have made two purchases that were delivered quickly. Packaging was great. The records showed up cleaned and sound great. My wife and I are planning a date afternoon to go visit Cadillac at the store.

Stopped by the store and met Cadillac whom I had the pleasure of conversing with. An amazing selection with classics and tons of Texas history. I picked up two great vinyls. If I could give this store 6/5 stars I would. If you are in the area stop in! It is 100% worth it! Will be returning! I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation and service I had and am grateful to have been able to hear some of his stories and also share the really cool basses he owns and performs with. Hope to catch a live show!

Had a train layover and wanted to kill some time and get some gifts. Had all my luggage with and the man working, Juan, was kind, helpful, and polite. He let me put my bags behind the desk and browse for a few hours, offering help finding what I was looking for, playing what he thought I’d like based on those questions without even being asked! Let me browse quietly and then talked with me after. Amazing person and amazing store. I told my friends to come and visit when they are in the area. Give Juan a raise!!! As for the record selection and prices, I got some great records in great condition at an inexpensive price. Must visit if you’re in the DFW area!

This is my second time utilizing the record town shop for my music promo. Miss Sherry the manager, and Cadillac are some of the sweetest people that I have ever encountered. Today I shot the promo for my upcoming EP release next month, and Mr Cadillac allowed me to come in and shoot my entire promo there. I am so forever grateful for the staff and this space. If you're looking for all your record and vinyl needs, this is the place!

Google
Cute record store and probably the made my first record store day memorable. Staff was so sweet and talked with their customers. I love that they have free and reduced records. Their selection in general was surprisingly great for it having a “hidden gem” affect. I will definitely be back when I’m looking for more records in the near future! Bonus: 21+ customers got a free cerveza for any purchase with RSD and a free bandana with $100+ for RSD!

Google
Vintage record store with an amazing selection and extremely knowledgeable staff. A must see destination for anyone visiting DFW. Thank you for a great experience Bill!

Google
Wonderful store. Do you remember talking about records in a store when you were a kid? This is that place. They can talk any era too. Smart buyers for Record Store Day that know Gen X shouldnt be left out either. They have a great variety. Comfortable place to browse too.

Yelp
liars and poor ethics, would not recommend. Lied about the album they sold, made it a hassle to return and refund, then left negative remarks on my discogs after initially leaving them a positive review (I rarely leave negative feedback, especially for small business owners) even though it was one of the worst record buying experiences of my life. You have to ask yourself, what kind of person does this when they are the ones that screwed up? The kind of person that doesn't take ownership for their mistakes, that's a red flag right there.

Yelp
Discovered this amazing store today. They participate in RSD and we were looking for a specific record. They had it! The people who work there are so helpful and kind. And - wait for it - the records are actually alphabetized. Like not just grouped by letter. Amazing. Go there! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Two years ago I reviewed this place and said great selection and great pricing. However I just revisited today and unfortunately they have changed their pricing. It's all gone up for unknown reasons. I bought a Willie Nelson & Family live album at a recent record show in Dallas for $15. Here it is $95. Also see the photos attached. $75 for Coltrane Love Supreme Reissue? Save $50 and buy it elsewhere. Sinatra with Jobim. Love that album. You can get it for 1/2 that elsewhere. Not sure what has happened here. I saw a bunch more staff. Maybe their overhead has caused them to raise prices.

Yelp
This was an amazing place with tons of quality selections! My 18 year old and I both loved it!

Yelp
Super cool place. He has a huge variety of albums. The prices seemed pretty good to me and the place is fun to look at.

Yelp
I was searching for a good record store and although I found a few. This is overall my favorite one so far. They have different music genres from pop to rock and also soul. And new to old. The staff is amazing and nice no matter how you look like they will treat you with respect. I loved this place and I will come back for sure whenever I'm in search of records.

Yelp
Record Town is a Fort Worth cultural institution. Sumter Bruton is more than just the owner; he is a walking encyclopedia of musical knowledge (and a renowned guitarist). The albums at Record Town are carefully curated, and if there's something that you don't see -- or can't find anywhere else -- Sumter will track it down. Record Town is where T Bone Burnett received his musical education and it remains an irreplaceable store for serious fans of great music, whether you're looking for jazz, blues, Western swing, rock n' roll, or any of the genres in between.

Yelp
Reopened. I do t get the buzz. Virtually no new selections. Wasted my time here. It might be iconic but I was very disappointed. Doc's for me.

Yelp
Decent enough record shop. Not too big of a selection, with all around decent prices. I like going there to hear my uncle talk to the owner about Fort Worth music history more than I like picking through their stuff.

Yelp
Great local owned Fort Worth record shop. Buying a Oscar Schmidt Washburn Acoustic/Electric and the owner is very helpful. He lets you play the guitar, and has great customer service. Will be the place I buy music from for a long time

Yelp
Record Town is a small music retailer by Texas Christian University. It has a deep selection of Blues (the store owner, Sumter Bruton, specializes in that) with a decent selection of Rock, Jazz, C&W and guitars & amplifiers. Record Town also carries a nice selection of Texas based artists. Whatever he doesn't have on hand, Mr. Bruton can order in usually a very good turn around time. What makes Record Town special is the musical knowledge and experience that Mr. Bruton shares with you. Almost every recommendation he's made for me to listen to has been spot on. He is very personable and approachable compared to some other record store owners/employees I've encountered at other places over the years. If you want to find something new, obscure or possibly out of print (Record Town carries used product as well) check out this store!

Yelp
I went to Record Town with 35 records for Sumter Bruton to look at. He is one of the owners. Many of these were pretty rare and mint condition. He looked at one box set (George Harrison 'All Things Must Pass') and gave me this line about not having the money then to buy them. He said if I would leave them there he would do an inventory and call me with a "fair" price. I waited for a call, it never came. I began to call him and got no answer. I tried numerous times. When I came back (after he never called) he said he left the albums in the store and "people just went through them". He said he would give me $15. He told me I should be glad to get that. That is what I got for trusting Sumter.
