"The most important public building in the time of the Ragusan Republic, the Rector’s Palace was home to Dubrovnik's ruler during his one-month mandate, the period when he was separated from his family to focus solely on matters of state. An inscription above the doorway to the meeting room says it all: "Forget your private concerns when working for the public." Today, the magnificent Venetian-style palace is a cultural history museum."

This is the centerpiece of Old Town’s history. This a wonderful starting point to learn about Old Town’s heritage, architectural legacy, interior decoration, and even to gain insights on the 1991 independence struggle. The space also offers interior places to relax and appreciate the ambiance.

I visited Rector’s palace as the main courtyard offers great photograph opportunities. I gained access as part of the Dubrovnik city pass - however standalone entrance is €15 which I think is too expensive unless you really care about looking at historical furniture

The Rector’s Palace is a historic building located in the Old Town of Dubrovnik, Croatia. It was the seat of the Rector of the Republic of Ragusa (the historical name for Dubrovnik) between the 14th century and 1808. The building served as both the rector’s residence and the administrative headquarters of the republic.

Included in the Dubrovnik pass. We visited during a rainy day. Absolutely the best place to avoid rain & wind out there and got ourselves indulged in the history. The war photos exhibition was truly moving & again I pray for world peace ✌️🙏 SAY NO TO WAR ❤️

Would not have paid money for this but it was included with the discover Dubrovnik pass and I guess it’s worth it for the bathroom access alone. Nice artifacts and a nice open area to relax away from the crowds outside

Lots to see. Great building. I particularly enjoyed the exhibition of the war photos. Very moving. PS if you want to see the walls,it's better to buy a Dubrovnik pass. You'll have a few museums included too.
