I stayed for three nights and found it a unique experience. Not for the person wanting the JW Marriott experience, but if you're exploring Sofia and want to feel like you're part of the culture, it's great. Sibylla, the proprietor, was patient and friendly. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and I slept like a rock each night: no street noise where I was. The shared bathroom was fine, good water pressure and toiletries, good towels. The other party staying was considerate and quiet, a nice Spanish woman. I ate at a few nearby places and the little sandwich shop down and around the corner, where you get breakfast, was outstanding. The location is good, in a safe neighborhood and I walked everywhere. I can see how it might not be a good fit for people wanting a traditional hotel experience, but I really liked it. I'll stay again!

This is a really fabulous and quirky place to stay. We were fortunate enough to have the whole apartment to ourselves. The "staff" downstairs are a bit hit and miss, but I don't think they actually work for the guest house. The lady we met who seemed to be in charge of guest house was very friendly. Free use of washing machine also!

Located inside a cultural centre, this bed and breakfast hostel is one of my favourites places in Bulgary. It is extremely close to the city center, but you can experience the calm charms of the sorroundings tho. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful, always disponible to you. Beside the bedroom you have common areas like a big livingroom, kitchen, bathroom... with a fun 80's style. Will recommend to everyone!

The hostel is cute with old furniture. The staff is nice, and helpful, could give the keys at night and guided in the morning. Though the room was a bit cold and no extra blanket, its a budget place to recommend

Great place. Feels like home. Comfy rooms and shared bathroom was clean. I would stay again. Little bit loud since there is a bar nearby though.

Close to the main governmental and state institutions of Sofia, Red Bed and Breakfast apartment is centrally located in the heart of the city. Just a few minutes walking to the area of theaters and galleries, Sofia University "St. Kl. Ohridski", The St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. The buildind, in which the Red Bed and Breakfast apartment is situated in, is a monument of culture of national significance. The apartment is very confortable for a group of friends and co-operative teams. The place is very specious with large common space, a comfortable well equipped kitchen. All three rooms are furnished in a classical italian style from 20s, which is quite unusual for Sofia's architectural style and one could feel the taste of Italy. Apartment's floor is polished wooden parquet. Staying in the Red Bed and Breakfast is like having your own apartment in a Central Sofia. The apartment is housed in the 1920' building that used to be the home of the Bulgarian sculptor Andrey Nikolov. After years of decay, Andrey Nikolov's house is now The Red House "Andrey Nikolov" Centre for Culture and Debate - through artistic experiments and public debates which stimulate the critical reflection and the intellectual curiosity of the audience. The breakfast is served in The Red House Restaurant & Garden, which offers an international cuisine. A periodic exhibition of the work of multinational artists is on show in the restaurant in generally. The airport is 15 minutes away by car and the only public transport stops just near by the house.
