This resto is just a few meters from the Petra Visitor Center. The food was great, and the price was affordable. The server was friendly, and he even served me a kind of herbal tea while my food was being prepared. It is highly recommended if you are nearby and looking for authentic Beduin cuisine.

When you walk out of Petra Just one minute You will find this restaurant. I'd like to recommend you to try it. That is, everything that is served tastes not bad, is delicious, and is worth the price paid. As for the rice menu, it is soft and delicious. You will feel very sorry. If you just walk by, highly recommend.

One of the worst food experiences of our lives. The shawarma chicken was cold and hard. Dry as the Jordanian desert. The burgers came out of the supermarket freezer section and the one dessert we ordered was quite soggy. The fries smelled and tasted of stale oil as well. I informed the owner of it while paying the bill and he didn’t even ask what the issues were. He just said that I was the first one to complain. It was overall the worst. I left hungry and the others just ate because we were so exhausted and hungry after the trek in Petra earlier that day.

We were starving on the way back from Petra. Didn't want to pay the overpriced dishes inside the visitors center, that is why we went for a walk around Wadi Musa. Found the Red Cave restaurant and sat there for a quick lunch. The serving were huge and delicious. Reasonably priced. The toilet was clean, the staff were polite. They gave us free humus, however in the end we overpaid for some things which we weren't sure why!?

Excellent food at convenient price in a typical.bedouine setting. Service was speedy and very accurate and we enjoyed genuine local dishes with the freshest ingredients. Coming back is a good option since we coul only try a few dishes of the wide menu! Good for a snack or a complete meal.

Food Quality: the food is quite decent. Hummus really good, but this seems to be a general thing in this area. Portions: they are ok, maybe just on the border of satisfying. I could have definitely used a bit more french fries. Drinks: decent choices Price: $$ not too bad, but for this price could have had a bit bigger portions. Service: friendly guy took our order Atmosphere: very relaxed and not noisy. World cup game was on so most people’s attention was on the TV. Highlights: hummus Things to improve: would be great that the french fries were not frozen, or at least a bit more on the plate

Absolutely phenomenal food! We ate salads + sandwiches & have nothing negative to say. Service was quick and they gave us complimentary tea following our meal

Terrible experience — not recommended. We had a very disappointing experience at Red Cave Restaurant in Petra. The portions were extremely small and poorly served. The prices on the bill were rounded up from the ones on the menu, and we were charged extra items we didn’t order. After we paid, the staff insisted we pay an additional 10% “government fee”, which does not exist, plus 5% for paying by card, also completely made up. This kind of behavior feels dishonest and left us with a very bad impression. Sadly, we cannot recommend this place. There are many better and more honest options around Petra.
