Red Chopsticks, Karon Beach

Excellent restaurant located in the vibrant part of Kata Beach, Phuket. Fabulous food that is well priced with a great Wine list that is also well priced. The staff are very friendly and professional.

What a joke. Arrived to be told the kitchen is closing in 5 minutes, as though we were at fault. Ordered the beef rendang asked for chips instead of rice. Turns up with rice, asked why no chips? “sold out” daughter’s sandwich turns up with chips. Chicken satay never arrived. Daughter spaghetti bolognese she rated very average. Servers barely understand any English and struggle with asking for a bottle of water. Service was terrible. Cocktails are bloody awful, sugary sweetness. Avoid.

The restaurant is nice and clean. The food was OK. I got the sweet and sour shrimps and my friend got the fried beef in oyster sauce. They were ok. I did like the coconut shake which came in its coconut and the two starters we got. I think the prices are a bit higher than what they should be, judging the quality and taste of what we ordered. But the service was good, the food came fast and overall we enjoyed our time there.

So enjoyed this restaurant! Meals here were included as part of our stay at the adjacent Marina resort. After reading the reviews we were ready to try this and not return. However our experience after eating there three times and trying 18 different dishes is that the food and service is fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant. A great selection of Thai and other dishes. Our only very small criticism would be that the portions are too generous 😀😀. The staff were lovely and very attentive to our requests. A superb restaurant with great food and vibes. We loved the decoration so we decided to try it. We went there for dinner and ordered many different plates from crispy duck to mussels and mixed seafood. Everything tasted nice and we felt so peacful and relaxed at this place that we even stayed and had tea after dinner. Prices are average and the staff are polite and well mannered. Recommended for a small outing or romantic dinner

Looks like a nice restaurant, but the staff (more workers then customers) are so unorganized. They are not unfriendly but our food took an hour and came at whole different times. My friend was finished when I got food and when I finished my other friend got his food. To the food: for Thailand insanely expensive and tasted not good. I will never come again.

This is a solid restaurant. We had a set of starters and a crispy duck. The starters were all very good. The duck was tasty, but the plum sauce was a bit too runny and less sweet than the Chinese version (this is the reason I don't give 5 stars). The service was attentive. We didn't have a reservation, and yet we didn't wait more than 10min for a table. The restaurant is open-air, so without AC. But in the evening it wasn't too hot there. Bathrooms were clean. I got worried after reading some of the reviews, but nothing was confirmed in reality. This is a mid-scale restaurant with solid food. I'd definitely visit it again.

Great place to eat seafood cooked well at a reasonable price. Have been here a few times now and consistently very good food and service. It's a big restaurant but still have a line to wait if you don't come early or book.
