If you're going to go to any wine/liquor store in the area, go here! The employees are all nice and welcoming. You will not get profiled like their competitors in the area who will treat you like a criminal if you look young. I like that they keep your age information on file with your credit card, and keep a history of all the wines you've purchased, just in case you want to get it again. It makes the check-out seamless!

Was there to pick up an instacart order and the older lady at the counter was not pleasant at all I asked for help finding a couple items and she told me I need to learn more about wine to do my job. Who says that to someone asking about wines ? Hello isn’t it her job to help people find things they like or might like. Nice place but horrible service. I won’t grab another order there or go there for myself again First time I was there younger girl was so nice that’s why I came back. This older lady should work out back not around people. Lost a potential customer and friends for sure.

A great wine shop with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Every time I come in asking for a pairing recommendation, they always nail it. A deep selection of wines, ciders, and spirits (many of which are local) at every price point. I truly cannot say enough positive things about Red Feet!

The ladies here are lovely. They helped my sister and I choose wine according to our individual tastes and we were not disappointed. We did not feel uncomfortable in this establishment despite the fact that we are women of color. It was a very pleasant experience.

My favorite wine store in Ithaca. We often go out of our way to go here. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and we really enjoy the bags of 6 bottles that they curate with tasting notes.

What can I say about Red Feet that hasn't already been said?! They're knowledgeable, informative, helpful and unpretentious. I was having a snack party (everyone bring their favorites snacks!) and needed a pairing for the most ridiculous hodgepodge of sweet and savory things. MP gave me multiple recommendations at various price points and had something to say about each one: this is from a women-owned winery that'll work with the carrot chips and hummus, that one is a grape you've never tasted before and would work with the peanut butter pretzels, this one is a classic example of a particular style, that one is an acquired taste but it'll work well for X Y Z reason. I noticed that the price points have gone up and I hope that that there will both always be the Wines of the Moment and the Demi-packs, because people shouldn't feel they're cut off from learning about and enjoying wine just because of their price point. And I really hope they'll have more opportunities for education and creating community: do Hang Time again! Maybe have tastings of *bad* wine - corked wine, things that are bad for whatever reason - so that we know when it send something back at a restaurant without feeling like a jerk! TL/DR: Love Red Feet!

A delightful and charming little wine shop with wonderful, service-oriented, and highly knowledgeable staff. I don't drink much wine anymore (my migraines have gotten more easily triggered over the years), but I know I can always walk in here, give a staff person an idea of what I like, a budget, and any other info, and they'll help me pick out the perfect wine(s). I also love that they have plenty of local options. Plus, the location (across from the Farmer's Market, in the plaza right off N Meadow Street / Rt 13.) is super convenient. Also, they have gift cards! I wanted to get my boss a gift for her birthday, and Red Feet was the perfect option. I bought online, they prepped everything, and I picked it up at the store when it was ready (given covid, I'm trying to spend as little time in stores as possible... so this was especially appreciated and convenient). Wonderful!

It's taken me way too long to write a review for Red Feet, considering I visit them multiple times a month and never miss a chance to sing their praises if someone I know is looking for a wine shop rec. Located right across the street from the Ithaca Farmer's Market and Aldi, and in the same charming plaza as another local fave The Piggery, Red Feet is an absolute delight to visit. It's in walking distance from the Fall Creek neighborhood and Northside neighborhood. I have walked to Red Feet in all seasons, and appreciate that so much as someone who doesn't own a car. Aesthetically, the interior is warm and cozy, with all local and reclaimed wood accents (check out the plaque by the front door describing how they reclaimed this wood!). As soon as you walk in, you'll most likely be greeted by an extremely knowledgeable staff member, who will almost definitely give you an excellent recommendation based on your taste and budget. As far as I can tell, Red Feet is almost entire staffed by women, and possibly women-owned as well (which is always something I'm here to enthusiastically support!). Although Red Feet is my neighborhood wine shop and I greedily want to keep them a hidden gem all for myself, I know I must share with the masses. Support local shops, and local wine!

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place until now. This is my favorite wine store in all of Ithaca, perhaps in all of Central NY. Located across the street from the Farmer's Market, in the same plaza as Papa John's & The Piggery, lies this charming little wine shop. The wood gives it a really rustic feel. A good portion of the wines are local, and the staff is super knowledgeable and very willing to share their expertise. What I really loved is that the staff is super respectful of the customer's budget-- whenever I gave my price range, the staff always gave really excellent, thoughtful selections that matched without trying to upsell me. My favorite find here was a local ice wine (a bit of a splurge, but a delicious one.) Sometimes, they have tastings, and I believe they offer discounts on cases. Really a great local spot, and a nice way to sample Finger Lake wines without driving to each of the respective wineries.

Simply the best wine shop I have ever been to. The selection is careful--not the largest in town by any measure, but instead well-curated and full of oddities nobody else has. The staff is jaw-droppingly knowledgeable--everyone there seems to know every single bottle in the store, and can make recommendations with ease. All of them are friendly, helpful, and just as capable of helping a confused wine newbie as a serious oenophile. Where Red Feet really shines, however, is in their ability to pair wines to an occasion. Every week I give them my planned menu and they set me up with wines for each meal. They always come miles under my stated budget, and in nearly five years of buying wine from them I can count on one hand the number of times I've thought "hm, that didn't quite work." I've had them find birthday gifts, offer wines to bring to parties, and asked them to pair with countless types of cuisine. They make lively and interesting selections that elevate every single meal I ask them to help with. An absolutely top notch wine store--if you're someone who enjoys cooking and you've not been here, you owe it to yourself and your dinner guests to rectify that.

This place is awesome. I received the best customer service here. This was my first time here as I usually go to another liquor and wine store. This place had a sophisticated feel to it. I was approached by Emma and she asked if she could provide any suggestions. She was so knowledgeable and such a warm personality which is what I needed on a day like today. We were in town for a week to see family and I needed wine! I went in, was greeted promptly, asked what I normally drink, given suggestions in my price range and was even offered a chilled bottle. I bought 6 bottles and everyone one was on point with my flavor profile needs. They even gave me a wine bag. Fabulous place to go and I would give them 10 stars if I could

A cozy and well-curated wine shop full of higher end imports, cheaper grab and go bottles, staff recommendations and local wines. Friendly and welcoming, I really enjoyed perusing their collection.

Everyone here is very friendly and helpful - much more so than other wine/spirits stores I've visited. They're always buying new products and the staff all know a lot about what they sell. They will be happy to recommend a product to you if you can describe what you're looking for. The only downside to this place is that they're small, so sometimes selection is limited. But they make the most of the space they have, stocking a wide variety of different products. Be sure to stop by the Thursday night tastings! You get a lot of information and free tastes of a variety of wines. It's often quite busy, but a lot of fun.

BEST. WINE SHOP. EVER! I'm not sure how they do it but the staff at Red Feet are totally down to earth and really excellent at helping you choose a wine in your price range that pairs perfectly with whatever you are having for dinner that night! They have a fantastic selection of wines at a variety of price points from all around the world. They specialize in small, organic producers so you're sure to impress that wine snob friend of yours with an obscure, delicious (and reasonably priced!) wine. What I love most about Red Feet is that they offer tastings every Thursday called "Hang Time" where they feature different wines based on a theme. These events are free and usually very well attended. Tonight's theme was Thanksgiving wines and as usual their selections didn't disappoint. They offered a white, three reds and an ice wine for dessert. They even provided some crusty bread, cheese and olives to munch on while tasting! The whole thing was low-key and informative. You definitely leave each Hang Time event knowing a little more about wine than when you arrived. It's so hard not to walk out of Red Feet without buying at least two bottles of wine....one for tonight and another for sometime very soon!

This is the best place to learn about and buy wine in Ithaca. Red Feet is not the biggest wine shop in the area, but it has a large selection of great wines from all over the world. They focus on smaller, less known producers and more affordable wines, but they have plenty of high-end choices as well. Red Feet also has a good selection of wines from the Finger Lakes region. The staff really makes Red Feet what it is. They are all very helpful, approachable, and knowledgeable. Every time you walk in an employee will quickly, but unobtrusively, ask if you need any assistance. If you ask for it, they will always take the time to answer any questions, and they are able to specifically describe almost every wine in the shop. They are also great at recommending particular wines based on your preferences and price range. My girlfriend and I are also huge fans of the free Thursday evening tastings. Each week has a particular theme, and you are able to taste about five wines in the $8-$24 price range. Generally, there is also one featured wine available to taste anytime you stop by.

Great local spot for local and global wines and spirits. The employees are committed, friendly and super-knowledgeable. I come here almost once a week. The store is small; wines are separated by country. They appear to be hand picked and they change often. If you have a special preference, it can be ordered. On the far wall, you'll find interesting spirits, like Beaumes-de-Venise Muscat, Vya Vermouth, and an Australian gin with a great story behind it. For the cost-conscious, there's a whole section of favorite wines under $10. Wine tastings take place on Thursdays between 5 and 7. You can get discounts if you buy 6 or 12 at a time (box included).

We got our wine from Red Feet and they could not have been more helpful! The sales associate was so unpretentious and cool. We were on a shoestring budget and I was a little nervous that they would pressure us or make us feel embarrassed but they didnt. They gave us lots of options and didn't try to give us the hard sell. Plus there's a discount for ordering by the case. The wines we got were so delicious and everyone loved them. Highly highly recommend Red Feet to anyone! Thanks for helping make our wedding great!

This wine shop is the only reason that I think wine shouldn't be sold at the supermarkets. I mean, I'll about efficiency - so I totally want to be able to by my wine at Wegmans. But the thought that a great place like Red Feet would take a hit for it, well my loyal nature comes out and ok fine I'll sign that petition! (note - it wasn't Red Feet that had that actual petition. I don't want to suggest their stance on the issue though I suspect they're going with the obvious). Great selection, amazing staff, a small and well organized store. The Thursday night tastings are a blast. Expensive? Sure, you get what you pay for. But they have specials like some percentage off if you buy between 12-2 M-F, or of course case discounts. It's wine - it's worth it. And they have enough wines there under $10 that you should always be able to find a perfectly delicious wine for whatever occasion or non-occassion you have. Small, but still far better than the larger shops in town. If you don't find what you're looking for - just ask them to order it, or better yet - as for a comparable recommedation - they won't disappoint. You'll probably find some new favorites.

I hesitated to go here many times because I thought it would definitely be too small for good prices or unpretentiousness. I was incorrect on both counts! Staff was super friendly & welcoming, and utterly unpretentious. The prices were better than the mega wine store by Wegmans, and the selection of organic wines was surprisingly large & different from what I've seen elsewhere. They offer a discount by the case (6 bottles) and/or when you stop by at lunch. There is a tasting on Thursday evening and they'll keep track of your purchases if you'd like, to help make recommendations next time you're in. A nice bonus is that is smells lovely in there. Dark wood everywhere gives it a and has a warm, cozy feeling. I'll definitely be returning!

I love shopping at Red Feet. The staff are helpful and never pretentious. There's usually an open bottle to taste. Usually I'm not a big fan of sharing my name or email address with merchants, but I did with them. They keep track of what I buy and can look it up again later. They'll make recommendations based on what I've had in the past. The monthly newsletter has been interesting and a good read, and they never spam.

Wow, what a find in Ithaca!! The locale may be a bit strip mallish however if you venture inside you will find the walls lined in reclaimed wood and iron work. The staff if faaaantastic!! They are so helpful and they love to turn people onto new and unusual varietals. I also love the fact that they wrap the bottles in brown paper, very nice touch. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent and friendly customer service. Great selection of wines. Red Feet offers many different wine club options depending on your budget and cater to your taste preferences. These wines are delivered on the first of every month. There is also "hang time" every Thursday night where you can learn and taste different wines under one theme.

This wine store is fantastic. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, and they can help you find the perfect bottle of wine with the vaguest description of what you want. My friend asked for a "bottle of wine that's good for the soul", and she was certainly not disappointed! Wonderful store.

Friendly and helpful employees. We went in with a specific mission, calculations were made, suggestions were discussed and progress was had. Very appealing discounts offered on the lunch hour and if I lived int he area I'd take advantage of the Thursday evening tastings.

Fun place off the beaten path. Found a bottle of hard to find whiskey. Very helpful staff and a nice selection of reasonably priced alcohol. Well worth visiting for sure.

Who am I to break the string of five star reviews of a place? I'm not going to do it to Red Feet Wines. The associates here know what they're talking about, they can match a wine with any food or dessert. I took home 7 bottles of wine on my last visit and plan on taking more this visit. I tasted some amazing New York wines that Pa state stores don't carry. You'll find wines from all over but there is something special about the Northeast wineries that have a special spot in my heart.

This place is great! I stopped by after a scorching hot visit to the farmers market and it was so lovely and cool and quiet in there. The woman who helped us was very knowledgeable and invited us to come back for the tastings. The wine selection is very good and well priced. As a student I appreciate the bargain red and white of the week. I'll definitely be back.

Love this place! After leaving my neighborhood wine store when I moved to Ithaca, I was pleasantly surprised to find another local wine store with great selection, decent prices, knowledgeable staff, and fun tasting event on Thursdays (Hangtime). I love that they put together a demi-sac on a regular basis to give you a sample of the store, that Hangtime events are themed, and that they keep track of your purchases so you can get another bottle (or case) of that really good wine you got two months ago.

I wanted to pick up some wine before heading back to Jersey for my mom and the other wine store that I knew about had closed for the night. After a quick yelp search and phone call, I found this place, and I'm happy that I did. The staff is absolutely wonderful. Ready to make recommendations based on your taste and budget and sincerely friendly. They have an interesting selection of wine & different from most wine stores. They were able to recommend a cheap but tasty wine that paired well with the cheese we were going to have. You can set up a profile and keep track of the wines you have purchased so it's easy to remember what you like. I wish they were here in Jersey! I'm pretty stingy about giving 5 stars so that should say something about this store.

This is my favorite place to buy wine in Ithaca. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable; they are not "wine snobs" and will answer any of your questions and steer you to a good bottle of wine (or three!). They will give you great suggestions based on budget, foods being served, etc. I haven't made nearly as many of their Thursday wine tastings as I would have liked.

Everyone is right about this place. Great service, great selection. Tastings happen on Thursdays 5-7 but that doesn't mean its the only time to taste! They usually have a bottle open on the weekends for tasting as well. I already got two bottles here, will probably be returning again soon!

Usually I feel intimidated when I walk into a wine shop. Not at Red Feet. The employees are extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and in no way snobby. Red Feet chooses all of the wines they sell, so you know that no matter what you buy it will be good. Also, pick up a "wine of the moment" it is usually pretty cheap and quite delicious.

The staff here are amazing. I had tried a wine several years ago at a tasting I described the wine and the person behind the counter guessed a comparable wine and then looked up the tasting notes to confirm. I love a wine store that listens to what I like and allows me to explore new wines within a preferred palate.

We had a great experience on our first visit--knowledgeable staff offered to order a Spanish vermut that wasn't in stock. We fully expected a 3-6 bottle minimum, but they got it for us for only a couple dollars more than we'd pay in New York City. The wine selection is basically curated, so a good deal of thought has gone into the wines that get shelf space in this intimate shop.The labels I recognized included some value options as well as high-end wines. They also offer a 10% discount on 6 bottles, which is great if you don't buy by the case. I won't find every wine I could ever want there, but it's now my first-stop shop.

The one, the only, the wonderful Red Feet - by far the best wine vendor I've ever had the pleasure of frequenting. Whether I'm looking for their $9 wine of the moment, a magnum for a picnic or a $30 bottle for a special occasion, I know that the knowledgeable and friendly staff will always steer me right. Like a library of wine they have categories and countries, tasting notes and pairings. There's no pretense, no judgment, just great wine for every budget. I could go on for paragraphs, but let me sum up with this: there's only one store I go to when I'm in the mood for wine.

Nice sized selection not huge but that doesn't matter. Interesting people working the floor including a judo instructor and someone that works ta a winery. They like to offer their assistance but will leave you alone if you ask. If you ask for something that just came in they are right on top of that too.... If you ask for something different then they have thoughtful responses, I won't say that they have never asked if you like dry or sweet but they understand an answer of "both":)... This store is clean looking too!

Our favorite wine shop in Ithaca! Excellent staff who are all knowledgeable and friendly. The staff makes an effort to get to know people and figure out what they like so that they can give personalized recommendations. They are really spot-on with what they recommend, too. They seem to specialize in totally reasonably-priced wine that is also very high quality. Even a less expensive bottle of wine from Red Feet is always great. I think they rise above other wine stores and have really made a great niche for themselves. We also look forward to their wine tastings!

Outstanding! The staff is so knowledgeable, helpful, courteous and personable! If I had to - I would pay more and drive farther just to shop at Red Feet. Why? They consistently set the bar high with customer service! Their Thursday evening wine tasting is a delight, as well. Good wine selection - even on a students budget! Check it out!

Nice people but very expensive wine. Coming from California, found the selection to be very high end, and not great value. Fine to pick up a single bottle of wine, but I was purchasing several bottles and was not really happy with the selection available.

Truly wonderful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Really some of the nicest, intelligent, and down to earth wine store workers in the world. Frequently changing wine selection. They personally taste every single wine before they bring it in to their store. Great prices for the value conscious (like wine of the moment section - inexpensive red and white that change monthly), plus some wonderful selections if you are a wine lover with some money to spend!

Really nice store - great atmosphere and very well informed staff. My only reservations are that they're a little pricey on some items, and I think that some of the staff might be (in as good a way as possible!) wine snobs. This means they can tell you every detail about their St. Emilion wines, but don't go asking for advice about a fun sweet local wine to take to a picnic! Also, their hours are pretty limited, and it's not a great part of town. A little hard to get to & parking's shared with a pizza place & other businesses. Seriously, though, nice atmosphere, lovely interior, very helpful staff. If you're in the area and don't mind paying a little bit extra, check them out!

I am new to town, and this is one of my favorite finds in Ithaca so far. Initially I went in for Tito's vodka, unable to find it elsewhere, and the staff members were so friendly and accommodating. They do not carry it in-store, but they kindly offered to order it for me. Jeff, the main guy who helped me, recommended a couple of bottles of wine, which I bought (one for myself and one for a gift), and another brand of vodka (1911, which I also bought). I appreciated his attention and thoughtful suggestions, and I enjoyed both recommendations. When I went in to pick up the Tito's, another staffer gently encouraged me to take part in the free wine tasting. She led me to the group to get started, and I appreciated her warm welcome. I will definitely be returning to Red Feet and recommending it to others. The atmosphere is inviting, and it is clear they have balanced an ample selection without sacrificing quality. Mostly, they made me miss home a little less, which is worth a lot to this Texan at heart!

I love this place. They have nice employees and fun tastings on some afternoons. They are never rude. No one ever gives me a hard time about my out of state ID here, unlike Triphammer Wine & Spirits. Their wine selection is awesome and it's always fun looking at their local selections. I love this place and will always go to them. I hope everyone will start going, so that Triphammer Wine & Spirits will go out of business. Go to this place! Give them business and help them grow, they're awesome!! You can even bring your dog inside.

excellent customer service. i recently purchased a bottle of pinot noir at red feet that tasted like it had gone bad. i was able to exchange the bottle without any problems.
