Red Iguana 2

It was alright. A bit overrated in my opinion. The Mole Sampler was fun to try. Beer and alcohol selection was good. Fish tacos this day were halibut and they were bland. There was an awful red sauce on one meal that tasted like Spaghetti-O’s sauce. Not a fan. Probably won’t be back.

This place has some of the best mole I have ever had! I ordered the Puntas De Filete A La Norteña. It's steak with almond mole with beans or rice and flour tortillas. This place is super cool and unique. If you're in salt lake city you gotta give this place a try it's only 10 minutes away from downtown. The service was just OK... the server we had was not tenitive, but he was friendly. Get a picture next to the Red iguana in the parking lot.

Anyone familiar with the Red Iguana will recognize this as an addition to the family. It's about two blocks from the original and is really kind of an overflow restaurant. The ambience is good and the space is good because it's more like a real restaurant rather than eating in someone's house. That said I noticed a decline in the quality of food this last time I ate there. I don't think it was up to what I would consider Red Iguana quality. So I'm dropping the food rating down because of that. Our meal was $120 total for four people, and that was lunch. I was a little disappointed at the cost versus quality.

Ate there for the first time. I went there with a group of 24. The group had made a reservation. The waiters were very patient with us, considering half of the group was late for the reservation. I ate the fish tacos. They were made with sorwd fish this night and tasted amazing. It's very filling as well. The restaurant isn't necessarily in a good part of town but inside you would never know that. It was very clean and the staff was very nice and respectful. The food was amazing, and it only took about 15 minutes to get the food from when we ordered.

Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had! The server was so helpful in helping us decide what to get. We tried some of the different moles and they were all so flavorful. The best dish we ordered by far was the puntas de filete a la nortena!

I came to try this place, but the wait was long. The food was actually really good, with great portions. I just didn’t like the rice and the beans; they were ok. It has plenty of seating for big groups.

Had an incredible dinner after hoping off the plane! Never have been to SLC but have been recommended this place by many. Lives up to and beyond the hype. I had the Puntas De Filete A La Norteña - this was just incredible. The waitress recommended it and I couldn’t thank her enough. So so so flavorful, comforting and not greasy at all! The beans, rice and tortilla are all very high quality. You really can’t beat this quality, size and value. Can’t wait to come back!

Every time we are up this way from Vegas we get all of of our family together to come for dinner. We love the can always fit 15-25 people together comfortably. The food is always amazing and service is great. The last few times we've gone we've had Victor and he's so funny and kind. Always has great suggestions as well. Always a favorite place and always will be. Thank you all!
