This place is a great deal. The front desk lady was pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and well maintained, quiet. Even had a free breakfast (though simple). All for a hundred bucks. Perfect for a place to crash after exploring Bryce Canyon.

Google
Red Ledges Inn was a lifesaver - We stayed over during memorial day weekend when Super.com cancelled our reservation without informing us - Despite being sold out, the lady at the front desk gave us a backup room that they saved for emergencies and also honored the rate we were promised. Sure, it is not a Westin, but they have clean and well maintained rooms and delicious breakfast. Kudos to the Red Ledges Inn for taking care of their customers, we highly recommend it!

Hidden gem, a diamond in the rough-and totally affordable. After a lovely day driving Scenic hwys 14 and 89 we decided to stop in Tropic for the night before continuing on scenic hwy 12. We stopped at a couple of the cabin resorts in town and we're not interested in paying that much for a quick night's rest. The nice lady at the front desk got us right into a room. Red Ledges met our price point, the room was clean, the bed comfy with so many pillows (5), the water pressure was great. Mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee machine were included, along with an iron and ironing board. We had a first floor room and it was surprisingly quiet considering there was a floor above us and the rooms next to us were rented out. Didn't hear a peep, even though we were amongst the last out of there at 9:30am. There was a Continental breakfast served in the main lobby, we did not partake, but it was cereal, muffins, coffee, tea, etc. Main takeaway: older hotel that is clean, fresh, well maintained. Would definitely stay there again.

Google
Reasonably priced for the area, so a good value. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. AC worked well. The attendant was nice & helpful. Overall very pleased with our stay. 👍

Google
STAY AT OWN RISK Supposedly their best king room. Walked in did not unpack due to horrible musty and mold smell, could not breathe caused asthma attack. Room also false advertising. No terrace, no patio chairs. Told they have no rooms like that. City view advertising is overseas a dirt lot, not city view. Called Booking and let them know we could not breathe their, did not trust property to have any other room better. Told on phone by Booking I would get refunded. Dropped key at desk and left. Completely false advertising. They refuse refund, working with travel company for refund and they are refusing to work with Booking.com

During our stay here, we had to change rooms due to water leakage from the bathroom. The next room's sink was clogged, so hygiene such as shaving, etc, was a mess. Carpet was dirty and ripped, decrepit place. Not recommended, unless you would rather not sleep on the street. Service not available 24 hrs.

This is a great little hotel in a small western town in a remote corner of Utah. It is not fancy. But it is clean, safe, and the people who work here were very friendly to us and service was great. The decor is old, but the room was comfortably cooled in the scorching heat wave (AC worked great!). Our huge king bed was comfy. It was quiet here. There's a cute little diner type place next door with very good food, and a very nice little locally owned grocery with nice produce and snacks. Down the street there's an AMAZING coffee shop that sells incredibly nice cuppacinos and espressos for you in the morning. Its about a ten minute EASY drive from this hotel to Bryce Canyon NP. We were able to wake up nice and early and make the sunrise at the NP, no problem. This is a small town, and the people here very much depend on tourism dollars, but it isn't a tourist trap. Its a real town, with a high school, a post office, a couple of gas stations, etc. You'll see farmers and ranchers here, and so sit back and put yourself in the right mindset. I would stay here again, for sure.

Google
Location is the only good thing about this place, with it being about a 15 minute drive from the Bryce Canyon National Park entrance. Otherwise, this place is pretty awful. The rooms are dated and grotty. Bath tub doesn't drain properly so you have to stand in half a tub of water by the end of your shower. Air con fan made an absolute noise so had to have it off overnight, meaning it was too hot to sleep. Fridge also made a noise and froze anything inside of it. One of the lights above the sink was broken and almost hanging from the wall. Everything else in the room felt old, dirty and grimey. The bed was good comfort-wise, so a positive there. Overall I'd say Tropic is a good place to stay if visiting Bryce but I would not recommend this hotel, look at one of the others in the area.

Ray S.

Yelp
It could be so much better. The bed was nice and firm then it gets worse. There wasn't any closet in the room, nor coffee maker. Their lobby is closed until 8am so if you are an early riser forget it. They advertise a breakfast which is limited to fruit and cereal. No outlets hardly, then you realize you are in a National Park but, come on this is supposed to be a motel.

Yelp
I'm satisfied with our pick and stay here. Red Ledges is in Tropic. It's an easy 12-15 minute drive to Bryce Canyon National Park. For the most part, Red Ledges Inn is pretty basic.. not the bougie places I'm used to.. lol.. But room rates (123 a night during the week), no parking fee, no resort fee.. that's pretty good. And it met and excelled as far cleanliness. Our room and the premises had an updated modern look, carpets clean, no musty smells. Our bed were comfortable. The water pressure just right for the shower. Plenty of towels. Housekeeping did great on our stay here. Front desk were cordial.. could work on being a little more welcoming. Complimentary continental "breakfast" were the grab n go kine ones. I saw Granola bars and packets of oatmeal.. the kind you add hot water to and apples. Just a suggestion, add some English muffins and toaster, maybe that would satisfy the hangry people on here. Speaking of food, love the proximity of places to eat which is just right next door! IDK BBQ and Rustler's Restaurant are just a few feet away from our hotel and have good food and reasonable prices. Red Canyon is nearby, this place is right on the infamous Scenic Byway 12, deemed the All American Road. Would recommend this place and community for first choice to stay and visit !

Yelp
This place made the little hair I have on my back stand straight up. Let's start by checking in. Lady at the reception mumbled, didn't look us in the eyes and was very short. And it went downhill from there. In the room the lights were flickering. The fan in the bathroom sounded louder than the jake brake with 10" pipes in a tunnel. The mattress should've been replaced 10 years ago. The overall cleanliness of the room was awful as shown by the pictures. The carpet wasn't even vacuum cleaned as when I walked around the room it felt like I was walking on eggshells. Never again.

Luann A.

Yelp
The only positive comment is the bed There was no Kleenex, the blow dryer did not work, few outlet that were in strange locations, no hot water from the sink, few towels and very dirt We will not return!

K K.

Yelp
Let's start with the cons: -stayed here on two different occasions. First time we were placed in the front building which seemed to be a newer addition of this establishment. 2nd time they had given us a room in the back building which appeared to be the original and Seem very very outdated, old, and small. -if the maid had knocked on the door before you leave the room in the morning, they will most likely not come back even if you ask them to. It had happened on two of the occasions. (They do already place extra towels In the room , so I assume this is a common theme with this motel). - gravel road parking lot. (Not a con really but never have seen any place like this one) pros: -cheaper than other franchise hotels. - close To Bryce canyon national park (less than 20 miles) and only a 5 min drive to mossy cave trail. -in walking distance to a bbq restaurant, a gas station, and a small grocery store. next time i would probably do better planning and find somewhere else nicer to stay. This place honestly would not be a first choice for me.

Yelp
Since there is No cell service in this town, internet wifi is important. None. No help. Nothing. Nada. Finally started working the next day. I would have moved if I had known. Oddly, this place is the second time we have had breakfast without forks. Apparently Sysco doesn't come often enough!

Haylee A.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Nicest management, comfy huge beds, cozy feel, and the housekeeping does a great job. The only downside is the WIFI sucks but if you can deal with that, this place is great. Not having WIFI/service actually ended up being the best part of the trip, just sucks the first day!

Del Y.

Yelp
This is a must stay when visiting parks around the Tropic utah area. The lobby is gorgeous and the front desk is very welcomeing. My room was perfect with modern beds and a perfect shower. Plenty of great family owned restaurants surround this beautiful inn. I travel a lot and this is one of my favorite places to stay.

Kay P.

Yelp
This is an older motel, but it has been renovated and is clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi slow but adequate (our cellular connectivity was spotty out here in rural Utah). We spent a pleasant night after a day at Bryce Canyon. $98 + tax for two AARP, two beds, ground floor, on a Monday night in June. There is a breakfast bar area, but we chose the Rustlers Restaurant next door, for which they gave us a 5% off coupon. It isn't too often that I take photos of the laundry room, but it was pretty large, clean, and air conditioned. We needed it at this point on our trip, so it was much appreciated.

Chi W.

Yelp
Let's face it, if you spent hours driving through barren lands to get to the area , you have a pretty good idea of what to expect before you actually arrive. in the middle of no where and just a little West of 'no name'. Taking the area into account, this hotel is a nice out of the way spot. It's really a motel and all the area restaurants close at 9pm but it provides a comfortable place to sleep and only 16 minutes away from the main strip in front of Bryce. The free breakfast is a coupon worth 5 bucks at the country store and would appear to be a way of generating extra revenue for another area business. It works well because the prices are not outrageous. The store is also frequented by the locals. We ended up eating breakfast in the restaurant and used our coupons to buy some snacks for the road. Propping up a local business is OK by me because the locals need to make a living other than growing grass and raising cattle. There's no cell service but wifi works just fine. The country store doesn't open until 7:30 am. Price is a bit high for a room with a stained carpet but it's an attraction area hotel and there are limited options in the area for most amenities big city folks might expect.

Yelp
Noisy & Bad Housekeeping We were in room 123 in the back building and the staircase to the upper rooms was right behind the headboard of the bed. We got to enjoy everyone clomping up and down the stairs. The walls and floors are thin and poorly reinforced so you head every step people took down the halls as well. One thing that really surprised us was that the hotel advertised breakfast included, but what they do is give each person a $5 voucher for the grocery store next door!! We tried to make the best of it and had some fun with it but unreality we purposely booked hotels on our trip that had breakfast included. Sadly the grocery did not have much to offer in the way of a healthy breakfast so we opted to buy other items with our vouchers and went to the espresso bar down the street which was wonderful. Housekeeping had a lot to be desired, the windows were very dirty and we were on the ground floor for no excuse for them not being clean. We stayed 2 nights and when we returned to our room we couldn't believe how poorly housekeeping had made up the room. The bed looked like they just threw the covers up and tossed the pillows back on the bed. See pic I posted. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely not stay here, there are much better options.

Yelp
Bailey is the best! Room was clean, WIFI wasn't amazing but we were there for such a short time it didn't matter. Great price.

Louis R.

Yelp
Stayed 1 night. Rooms clean and quiet. Approximately 10-15 minutes to Bryce depends on how busy roads are. Best part...we were greeted with apple's breakfast burritos granola bars and apple juice in our room . It meant a lot because we arrived late at hotel and there was nothing open for food.

T B.

Yelp
It was a nice room centrally located.. We enjoyed walking around the community. Very close to Bryce National Park. The rate was 122 something a night.

Patrick W.

Yelp
The main cluster of hotels for Bryce Canyon National Park are located immediately outside the entrance of the park. I had tried to book a room at the Best Western Plus but it was sold out. I would recommend Best Western Pluses in general because I stayed at one for Zion National Park and loved my stay. It was very comfortable. For Bryce Canyon National Park, I stayed at the town of Tropic and specifically at Americas Best Value Inn & Suites-The Red Ledges Inn (181 N Main St, Tropic, UT 84776). From my perspective, it was a place to stay: comfortable enough at decent price. It is an older property so it does have an older décor and smell [although not odorous]. Across the street, there are also a cluster of log cabins you can rent. Since Tropic is only a 20-25 minute drive to the rim, it is a convenient location outside of the park to stay. If you are visiting and planning a trip to Bryce Canyon and looking for recommendations, feel free to message me for my itinerary. You can also find the electronic copy through the link my profile.

Yelp
Had a good stay here last week! Room was a little dated but was clean and reasonably spacious. Had a coffee maker, fridge, and small microwave. Continental breakfast in the mornings was basic but still appreciated. Staff was friendly. Lots of restaurants nearby on the main road (within walking distance). A good spot to stay if you're planning to explore Bryce National Park (about 25 minutes drives away)!

D R.

Yelp
Perfectly fine motel. Seven miles to Bryce with several restaurants nearby. Breakfast above average. Not many other lodging options nearby so abit pricey but worth it.

Ashley M.

Yelp
Hubby and I stayed here while visiting Bryce Canyon National Park. Affordable, comfortale, and friendly. Best deal and the breakfast was nice since we were on a tight budget for our vacation.

Kaylee G.

Yelp
Affordable, comfy place to rest our heads for the night. As a bonus, Red Ledges made an exceptional accommodation for us that totally saved our butts!! Sincerely appreciated, Red Ledges, thanks for the great stay and customer service.

David D.

Yelp
Nice room, convenient location, good price and friendly service. I would recommend this place to anyone needing a place to stay while visiting the Bryce Canyon area.

Veronica C.

Yelp
Not bad for a motel. Extremely affordable and pretty close to Bryce Canyon National Park. 5 of us spent a night here (2 queens and roll away) for about $55. Pluses: large room, provided extra amenities (shampoo, towels, soap) when asked. good heater, decent TV channel selection, wifi (though the signal was not very strong) Cons: Bathroom could have used a little better ventilation, beds were a little lumpy/soft, so my back hurt waking up the next morning I'd come back because of the location and price.

Rhiannon L.

Yelp
This is near Bryce and is a small town. The staff of hotel seemed welcoming and check in was fast. Room was clean and had essentials for a short stay. WIFI is free. Laundry mat, market, Rustlers Restaurant is next door literally feet away. I stayed one night less then 24 hours. A good experience based on my stay.

Susan R.

Yelp
We stayed for 2 nights during our road trip to Bryce. I was a little taken aback when they said here is your $5.00 breakfast vouchers and you can use it at the store next door. It was advertised as having a hot breakfast and I deliberately chose hotels with hot breakfast for our road trip. We saw a restaurant on our drive over to our room and assumed we could use our voucher there. NOPE only good for the store. The tiny grocery store did not have much to offer so we bought cereal breakfast, juices and fruit to take to our room. We stayed in the middle building on the bottom floor. You take a large step INTO your room (very odd). Room was plenty big enough, had the separate vanity from the toilet and bath (which I like). However, upon setting my things down on the bed I noticed the turn down throw had several long and short curly blonde hairs all over it. Looked at the bed, didn't see anything so just took it and flipped off the hairs. All gone! Very noisy hotel since the walls are thin but we were so tired, we didn't really care once we knocked out. You will hear early morning risers slamming doors since it's manual closing style and walkers upstairs if you are on the bottom floor. PROs: Affordable Nice laundry facility Ice machine Fridge, coffee maker, microwave, TV Large table(not part of the TV stand) Friendly, helpful staff Close to park CONs: Slow internet (but it was free) No hot breakfast as advertised Noisy It's conveniently located about 4 miles from the park. Drive is easy and comes with a view. If you want fancy go somewhere else. If you want a decent place to stay for a great price this is the place. I would stay here again.

Yelp
WHERE WE PASSED OUT! BACKGROUND: Americas Best Value Inn and Suites Tropic is your best choice within Bryce Canyon Country. We offer ideal accommodations and location whether you are in town for hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, hunting, fishing, or simply passing through on your way to Kodachrome State Park or Escalante Petrified Forest. At Americas Best Value Inn and Suites Tropic our goal is to provide our guests a great experience, not just a place to stay. STATS: Check-in Time: 4:00 PM Check-out Time: 11:00 AM Pets: Pet Restrictions May Apply WiFi Available Restaurant on Premise Restaurants Nearby Non-Smoking Rooms Limited Pets Satellite TV Fax Guest Laundry HBO Continental Breakfast OUR EXPERIENCE: Several of us crew members stayed here a couple nights after backpacking in the Paria in northern Arizona and before heading home. It seemed fairly central to the areas of our next adventures in Escalante and Bryce. Reservations for Hiking SisTa, fellow hiker, and I was made online prior to our arrival, which make checking in easy peasy. At check-in we were given key cards and comp tickets for breakfast at the eatery next door. Our room was equipped with two queen sized beds, a/c, flat screen TV, small fridge, tub/shower combo with toilet with a door, and a counter with sink, separate from the wash room, as well as a blow dryer, iron and board, extra blankets and pillows. The room was clean and the water pressure was nice and strong, which was greatly appreciated and needed after being away from civilization on a three day backpacking trip. SisTa and I love it when the sink is outside the room with the shower. It makes getting ready so easy since one person can shower while the other one is dressing and brushing. Having three people in one room makes having that separation all that more convenient. With backpacks and suitcases neatly-ish dispersed about the room, the cleaning service did a very respectable job of preparing our room seem even more organized and clean while we were out and about trekking around. Even though this Inn is on the main drag, we had a pleasant experience during our stay, no traffic noise to speak of and no bothersome neighbors. In addition, it was walking distance to the General Store, restaurant, and Leader of The Crew's favorite type of eatery... pizza. The morning of our departure, I woke up super early to walk around the hood. What a cute little town. There are houses with detached barns, white picket fences around a nicely groomed front lawn, cars parked in garages, and roosters welcoming another beautiful day. Centrally located, on the main drag, clean, close to eateries, and a general store, worked for us and hope it will work for you, should you venture into this area.

Luke R.

Yelp
Wifi really sucks and tub was dirty. Wasn't sure what my expectations were, but they weren't met. Also, the mini fridge was extremely loud? Otherwise, a cheap place to stay in the middle of nowhere.

Kitty L.

Yelp
I was staying 2 nights for an event. It is nice to have a store next door and they provides good breakfast. However, I have main concern of cleanliness of the room. When I walked in 1st night, I found some hair on bathroom floor, I thought to myself, since this is not a 5 star hotel, don't expect too much. I was wrong. Next evening when I return my arms started getting very itchy. I thought it may be allergic reaction but later I look under the baseboard and pillows, I FOUND SOME BEDBUGS!!! I called the front desk and explained the situation. They apologized and refunded my stay. I wound recommend looking to stay somewhere unless u have no option. My arms and necks are now more swollen as a result for these bites.

Claire D.

Yelp
Definitely a good value! We stayed at America's Best Value Inn near Tropic, UT for about $55 per night while visiting Bryce Canyon. It's a good 10-15 minute drive from the park's entrance and there are not many amenities near by (maybe 1 gas station and 2 restaurants in the town). The hotel itself is pretty dated, but fairly clean. Parking is available in a gravel lot. There's also a free continental breakfast in the morning, albeit a pretty limited one. This is obviously a budget hotel, so you should set your expectations accordingly. If you stay here, I would check out the food truck called "IDK Barbecue" about 4 miles down the road, which is definitely worth the visit.

Patrick M.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I were planning on coming to Tropic to see Bryce Canyon, and called after 9 pm that night to find out if there was a room available. There was no phone number on Yelp, and the number we were able to find on Google apparently goes to a central booking service for the chain. They told us that there was a room for us and made us a reservation. When we got to the hotel, the lobby was closed. No surprise, it's a hotel in a small town. However, despite the sign outside saying "We'd be happy to accommodate you after hours, please call either of these phone numbers, and please feel free to use this phone mounted on the wall outside," with the name of the proprietor, it was impossible to reach her. We tried both numbers for several minutes, and both just went immediately to voice mail. So we tried the reservation line again, and they had us hold while they tried to reach the proprietor for several minutes -- also with no luck. Then they complained that we hadn't "requested a late check-in" on making the reservation. Well, perhaps not: we'd called after the lobby was already closed and mentioned that we were driving in from another state. But, no, we hadn't used the magic words "late check-in," although I think that figuring out whether that's necessary should be the reservation-taker's responsibility, not ours. Ultimately, we had to give up and go down the street to another hotel. Pretty disappointing.

Yelp
Decent place to stay for a few days. Rooms were clean. Close to Bryce. Free breakfast. Insulation was good and was free of any drafts. Friendly staff. One advice is to request the upper floor. We could hear every foot step of the upper occupants.

JamJumpin M.

Yelp
It might have been the stark contrast to the awful Super 8 I stayed in the night before, but I was blown away by this place. Well it wasn't out of this world, BUT, it was clean, spotless in fact, and the beds were well presented and comfortable. Included breakfast had plenty of options and the dining area was very homely. Definitely recommend. Fridge and microwave in the room.

Paul Y.

Yelp
Got this place for $40 per night for two nights in late November. If you're going to Bryce Canyon, this is probably the lowest priced option that's also decent. You need to drive about 10 more minutes than if you stay at the Best Western Grand Hotel. For the extra 10 minutes of driving, you probably save about $20 - 30 per night, which is good for me. Thus, the 5 stars are because of the price. The only drawback is that the parking lot is not paved, so you are driving on a bunch of gravel. There's also a grocery store and a restaurant next door. I was able to get some decent stuff to pack for lunch at the grocery store in the morning. Free, decently working Wifi is a big plus.

Julie C.

Yelp
Yes, there aren't a lot of hotels in this area near Bryce Canyon National Park, so I totally understand that "beggars can't be choosers." This motel was just adequate, nothing fancy whatsoever. We were disappointed in the very poor/dim lighting in our room (#233). Made us feel like we were staying in a sleazy dump. But the worst was that the deadbolt didn't work for our door, so we propped our ironing board up against the door to prevent someone was breaking in whilst we were there. There was no signage to put on the door "MAID SERVICE" or "DO NOT DISTURB". Learned that we had to ask for that little piece of signage at the Front Desk; whaaaaat????

Monica T.

Yelp
I was looking for a good place to stay during a recent trip to Bryce with my boyfriend, and this place fit the bill. In doing my research for the trip, this place had the cheapest rates and had good reviews on this fine web site, so I decided to book a room. We weren't disappointed. Yeah, it's pretty no frills. Not much in the way of amenities, the TV is small, the sink is right there in the room, etc. But, you know, it's not like you're going to hang out much in the room when you're visiting Bryce Canyon. Besides, the bed was comfortable, they have free wi-fi, the front desk staff is super nice, and with your stay you get a coupon for 30% off your breakfast at Clarke's, the super tasty restaurant next door. What more do you need? I expect I'll be staying here again on my next trip to Bryce Canyon.

Natalie D.

Yelp
This is NOT a four star hotel, but a really excellent 2-3 star hotel. We stayed here for two nights on a recent trip to Bryce. The room was very large and comfortable. The amenities were nice - shampoo, lotion, soap. The towels here were nicer than some 4-5 star hotels I've been at! Decent cable channels, including HBO. If you can't stay IN Bryce - or if you are looking for a place central to exploring Bryce, Escalante, etc - this is a good choice. It's about 20 minutes to the park entrance from here. The Mossy Cave Trail (part of Bryce) is between this motel and the park and worth checking out!

Dynise B.

Yelp
Friendly check in. Clean. Very basic & could use a refresh. The worst free breakfast ever. Watery coffee & no fresh options- not even bananas & apples.

Franklin O.

Yelp
This place is DECENT. First of all the hotel rooms look a bit old and moldy. We asked the front Clerk to give us a room on the second floor but yet they still give us a room on the first floor. Outside the hotel it smells like a horse pen and you can imagine how bad those smell to people like me who don't see horses every day. The bathroom was the most disappointing part. I would certainly recommend a remodel. The walls of the bathroom are not A pure color, The toilet seat is dirty and part of it is peeled off, and the light switch is very moldy and it makes you not wanna touch it. The only part that I like is that the hotel includes breakfast which has a pancake maker an apple juice dispenser. What do you have to say about this hotel?

Jay S.

Yelp
I am not picky when it comes to hotels but when we arrived the room didn't seem very clean. I went to take a shower and the shower did not drain very well so I had the wonderful experience of standing in stagnant water with my blistered feet from hiking. There seemed to be some floss stuck in the drain but I was not touching that. The real fun came when I reached for the wash cloth and it looked like it had old mascara on it. I was afraid to use any towel after that. The only perk was that I was able to do a load of laundry while there. I did not deal with the front desk but my boyfriend did and said they were nice. I can do outdated hotels but I can not do dirty. I wouldn't advise anyone to stay here. The old tv too oh my.

K G.

Yelp
Quite surprised indeed! This is also run under the "America's Best Value Inn" brand. So, did not expect much other than a bed to rest in. The check-in itself was good. There was a young teenager who was very professional and ran through the procedure as if he had done it a million times. Room was really roomy, clean. well laid out, with separation between the bedroom and the wash area. There were USB outlets and even a couple of power outlets on the bedside. Microwave and fridge were a bit dated, but no complaints, worked fine! WiFi was good signal and speed! Matter of fact, the security on the WiFi did not allow one of devices that did not have the latest security patch and setting. Breakfast was not mind-blowing, but it was good enough that almost every guest was waiting till 7 am to get there. Would suggest that they add Cheerios or Raisin bran cornflakes. All in all, would recommend it, especially since it is only 10 minute drive from the entrance to the park. AND you get to be close to the Mossy cave area if you want to spend some summer day lazing by the creek or under the waterfall.

Lani F.

Yelp
I am not sure how hotels can rent the same room twice? My husband reserved a handicapped room weeks in advance and even called and talked to the hotel. Upon arrival we were told the one handicapped room was already taken. What do you do? There is no place for miles around with a vacancy. So we sleep on a spongy bed, I can't take a shower or bath or close the door to use a toilet. We at least had our own ramps to get in the room. Maybe one of these hotels have to be sued when someone falls to understand.

Barney F.

Yelp
Where is this place...as you approach it, it looks a little bit scary, especially at night time. The parking lot is a gravel parking lot. But once you go into the small hotel lobby, the staff there is really friendly. The 2nd floor room we got looks like it was just remodeled. It had the smell of a new home and the room turned out to be quite comfortable. There was only one chair in the room though unless you want to bring in the one from outside. Towels must have been close to being new. The wifi didn't work so well especially if your room is further away from the hotel lobby. Right next door is a grocery store, restaurant, and gas station. Very convenient, but it is about 10-15 minutes away from the Bryce Canyon park entrance. Also, there's no swimming pool. If price isn't an object, I would rather stay closer to the park.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised, friendly staff, laundry, free breakfast and a quiet room. The room itself as an odour, but once you open the window its fine. The internet is a bit slow but it was sold out so not surprising. Other the that its pretty good value for money. A fridge would be nice but at this price and so close to Bryce canyon we can't complain.

Yelp
Better Rates Than Ruby's My girlfriend and I had the option of booking at Ruby's for a premium, or for a cheaper rate here for a couple days while we hiked in Bryce. Place was decent, what you would expect from a typical hotel room. We ended up having to book a room for a night at Ruby's at the tail-end of the trip because our rental car was stuck there which cost us much more, but otherwise we couldn't complain. ROOM TIP: Ask for a room on the ground floor if you have alot of luggage.. the place has only 2 floors but there are no elevators.

Yelp
I was driving to Bryce Canyon and got delayed due to bad weather. I tried calling them several times between 10 and 10:30 PM and nobody answered the phone. Their website doesn't list any after hours number and there was no way to find out if I would be let in if I drove there. Due avoid getting stranded, I ended up booking another hotel on the way. I think they need to let their customers know that they will be checked-in even if they arrive late, or post some information on the hours beyond which they would consider the client as a no-show. At the least, an after hours number would have been useful. I tried calling the hotel after the trip and the receptionist was refusing to understand my situation. She would not let me talk to the manager and told me that she cannot tell me when her manager would be in.

Yelp
So much better than I expected. The bathrooms have been recently remodeled, the furniture is newer, and the air conditioning works great. They have a no vacancy sign, yet I hear nothing from any other room. If you want a fancy lobby and tons of amenities, you won't find them here, but if you want a comfortable night's sleep while exploring Bryce, this is your place.

Yelp
Hotel is located in Tropic, a pleasant, nicely kept very small town with a couple restaurants and a nicely stocked grocery store. Restaurants were very good, pizza place was really good. 15 minute drive to the gates of Bryce Canyon and quick access to Escalante NP as well. Hotel was very nice for the type of hotel. Fridge, microwave, flat screen TV, and coffee maker in room were all relatively new. All furniture was relatively new as well. Room was very clean and updated. Bed was great, sheets were nice, pillows were soft, shower was hot with plenty of pressure, WIFI was very strong and fast. Perfect hotel for the type. As a bonus, hotel gave $5 vouchers to each person for every night of stay to use in nice grocery store next to hotel. Would stay again absolutely.

Yelp
For the price this met our expectations. Had i known the motel was 7 miles from the park i woudl have stayed closer, but we were happy. They threw in a free pancake breakfast which we thought we didn't have time for but they prepared a to go bag which was so thoughtful. There is a market and restaurant next door which was convienent

Yelp
All I can say is STAY AWAY from this place. We paid $90 for a room in this awful "hotel" Discusting.

Yelp
Really nice staff and decent room. Breakfast is at the restaurant next door. The only problem is, their internet is not avail. The owner is aware that when the Inn is full, (as it will be in the summer months) that they can't handle the number of users. The poor staff has to deal with irate customers and the owner's too cheap to do anything about it. Internet was imperative even though I was on vacation and they failed to provide what they advertised.

Yelp
Stayed for 3 nights, looking for an inexpensive place with breakfast included. Pros: decent pricing, friendly and eager staff who wants to keep customers happy, approx. 15min from Bryce Canyon, breakfast included (restaurant next door). Cons: breakfast consists of a minor selection of items (e.g 1 bagel, 1 scrambled egg, 1 coffee, 2 slices bacon), insulation of our room was poor and it got very cold during the night, bathrooms fairly old with "wear and tear" Recommendation: Yes. Browsing for an inexpensive place to stay, this was our deal. We were open to accept some imperfections. Knowing about the odd breakfast policy out of other reviews, we prepared ourselves. We brought some fruits (apples, bananas) to get a balanced breakfast. The pancakes were the best deal regarding the size. The breakfast itself was tasty and when we asked for a coffee refill, they did it without hesitation. There was also the option to order regular breakfast out of the menu for decent pricing.
