满江红 Red Lotus Restaurant

They serve mainly northern cuisine which is spicy and strong. Most dishes are salty and over seasoned. Service is average but not friendly at all. Price is on high side in comparison with other similar restaurants. They have a bar serving special drinks but the area is messy at the entrance filled with carton boxes.

I had a very enjoyable meal here with a group of friends! The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice and clean, and most of the dishes tasted great! We did note that the fish tasted very oily, almost to the point of tasting deep-fried. I thoroughly enjoyed the stir-fried green beans, as well as the braised pork. The fried noodles were also tasty. I can see why my friends are a fan of this restaurant and I see myself bringing my family here sometime.

My wife and my favourite place to bring my in-laws while in Mississauga. Chinese food is their absolute favourite and this restaurant is a sure winner. The chef must be very experienced as they serve very well cooked and delicious Sichuan dishes. The cumin beef and sweet and sour chicken are stand out dishes, but we typically enjoy everything we order. There’s also a bubble tea shop on site which makes this place great for local hang outs as well. Good stuff!

Worst experience I've got from Golden Square The stir fried potatoes are tasteless and have a look at the picture THIS is spare ribs? I got a plate of bones with a bit of meat attached to it and it cost 20 CAD What kind joke is this Won't say the service is anywhere near good too I'm sure there's a lot of places that can provide a way better dining experience

Red Lotus Restaurant has the best dry hotpot by far. The flavors are bold, spicy, and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of heat and seasoning. Every dish is packed with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. It’s the kind of place that keeps you coming back for more. If you love dry hotpot, this spot is an absolute must-try.

My family and I have been coming for over 15 years. We always order the spicy pot sliced fish. The food is pretty oily and salty and many of the dishes are spicy, but it tastes pretty good! Bathroom trips afterwards can be a little rough but I think it’s usually worth it :^)

Red Lotus is an old favourite in the plaza filled with great restaurants. From the countless times we ordered take outs during the Pandemic, to late night cravings, this restaurant is a solid choice. Sweet soy chicken is a favourite dish. The chicken pieces take some time to dissect with the bones included, along with chestnut pieces to round up the dish. Spicy fried chicken is also a great, solid Szechuan dish, if you can avoid the mala peppers. In the last trip we also tried the eggplant dish. It was so flavourful, great with steamed rice. The sliced pancake is also an amazing and unique alternative noodle dish if you're craving for that. You order your food from your phone using QR code. Many servers do not speak English well. I had no issue having my water filled, but flagging for service might be difficult during busy times.

The food was delicious! We were a group of four—two carnivores and two vegetarians—and the restaurant had plenty of options to satisfy everyone. Some of the dishes were unique and new to me, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Service was quick and attentive, and the washrooms were spotless and well-kept.
