Great central location and friendly staff. Perfect for solo travelers with a fun, social atmosphere. Common areas are lively, but dorms can be noisy and bathrooms a bit basic. Good value for budget travelers.

Location is amazing, every other things suck…Roomates are usually creeps, the bathroom was like a sauna, the rooms smell, during the night you cannot reach your food and we went to the reception for the kitchen key, but the receptionist wasn’t even there, so we went to bed starving, however the cleaning lady was very nice. All in all I don’t recommend this hostel at all…. RUN. Or if you are creepy old guy you are welcomed here.

The team, location and space are nice, however, toilets are dirty and showers are super old, it takes ages to heat up and the not really great for the amount of people in the hostel. Overall, average experience, but I will give 1000 if I could to the team. Everyone was friendly, smiley and nice.

This place seems more like transit housing for African Migrants, children and other strange guests. Not for backpackers. Not too mention its smelly, old and falling apart. If you are a traveller who wants to be around other travellers don't come here. Its a shame I stayed here back in 2017 and it was a fantastic place. Now its all the things I've listed.

Loved this hostel! Very nice staff and security guards. We felt safe and had a great time. It’s kind of close to the nightlife and overall a great location.

I’ve climbed my fair share of top bunks (in fact, I prefer them), but this one felt like a punishment. The “ladder” was just a lonely D-shaped metal pipe wedged between bunks—no grips, no footholds, just pure foot trauma and existential dread. Bonus: the side guardrail popped out the moment I tried to grab it for support. Not the hostel's fault, but a heads-up: in Valencia, dorm mates often go on full archaeological digs through their bags at all hours—for no apparent reason. The stuffier and hotter the room gets, the more this behavior intensifies.. without fail.

Great location, facilties are okay. Bathrooms and showers are tiny. Beds are okay. Shared space is usually used by families and kids, lots of families with small children and babies during my stay. Roof top not really a place to hang out, but had a washer and dryer. I'd stay again for convenience of location, but all the events and kitchen are at the sister facility, might try their first.

Great location Facilities were decent had many outlets and mirror and air conditioning was great Always someone at reception Bathroom smelled awful like sulphur and eggs Bathroom didn’t feel clean the showers had problems either very hot or very cold Men were using women’s washroom we made a complaint to the desk but I don’t believe they did anything about this as a new man was in there the next day while I tried to shower We were in a 8 bed mixed dorm and there was an older man sleeping naked which made us uncomfortable for being young female travellers. The view from our room was looking into the men’s shower room which wasn’t ideal. Note their shower room had a balcony and huge windows for air flow while the women’s had zero air flow and smelled awful. We enjoyed the location but due to the uncomfortable encounters with the clientele in this hostel we would not return nor recommend.

Yelp
Great hostel. Minutes away walk from the city center. There is an upstairs terrace and bar that you can relax in. They held my luggage for most of the day after checking out. The fron desk workers work exceptionally great and accommodating. I believe there names were Sarah and Cedrick. During their rish hour of 11 am ish, i watched them deal with nice and angry clients but remained calm and positive throughout the whole process of them receiving their rooms. Hopefully they get to read this to recognize their great work.

Yelp
The front desk was super friendly and welcoming. The room I stayed is a 10 PPL room, large area to roam around. Few of the lockers were broken though. The bathrooms (toilet and shower) are clean The fifth floor bar is great to hangout Highly recommend it.

Yelp
red nest is a chain that can be found throughout espana (and i think some of europe too). one of their sister hostels, purple nest is only a 5 min walk away. red nest was a great place with a great mix of people. free sheets, lockers in your rooms (don't forget your locks), and an air conditioner thing parked in your room that works wonders. community bathrooms were always kept clean and towels were available to borrow (for a couple euro of course). wifi was available throughout the entire building!! they have a bar on the top floor, with rooftop access. cheap drinks and food - we were there during paella night. table for short-ranged beer pong, computers, pool table, and couches. front desk was phenomenal - so friendly and helpful. you can buy tickets to all the tourist attractions there too to skip the lines - bioparc, ciudad de ciencas, turistic bus, etc. location is great too, a short walk away from a cute little plaza where the bus stops, and right next to an ice cream shop.

Yelp
All in all the hostel was fair. Staff was friendly and the location was great. However, after staying there 3 out my 6 friends traveling had bed bug bites all over our bodies. We alerted the staff and they moved us to another room however, the next morning we another one of us had these bites. The really should have given us bug spray to spray down all of our clothes and luggage to prevent those pesky guys from returning. So I cannot and would not recommend this hostel due to the bed bugs. I even slept in my satin sleep protector and somehow wound up with bites on my forearms and face, bummer. Was able to prevent them from spreading into my apartment and will never stay at any red nest Hostel ever again.

Yelp
Firstly, the decor is so funky it makes you want to fro up your hair, throw on some flares and do the hustle! The staff were all friendly and helpful. The kitchen could do with an oven, but otherwise is more than adequate and the whole place has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Grat for meeting other travellers and very well located for getting around the city.

Yelp
Specifically created this account to write about the bedbug situation when I stayed at Red Nest on the weekend of Oct 7-9, 2014. Submitted a review to Tripadvisor back in October, but looks like it did not get published. Woke up with dozens of bites on my body. Front desk girl told me it was maybe "allergies" or "mosquitoes". She did ask me if I wanted to be moved, but no one came to look at the room/bed for over 24 hr. They did not pay for my laundry (I had to wash/dry ALL of my stuff). Bathroom was dirty. There was a big liquid soap/water spill on the floor. I told the front desk girl, because it was dangerous and slippery. She said she will send someone to clean it. No one came, and the bathroom stayed dirty the whole time I was there. I put some paper towels over the spill, and they stayed there on the floor for 2 days I was there. Looks like no one came to clean. Wifi does not work from inside the rooms. Overall, I wish I had gone elsewhere.
