I have visited Red Nest Hostel not so long ago and I have wanted to leave a review because I was really satisfied. Location of the hostel is perfect because it is right in the center of Valencia. Also the ratio in between price/ service was awesome. I wanna give special thanks to the receptionist Richard , he was really helpful during my stay and also recommended me some good places to visit and where to eat. I really felt welcomed and almost like home. I will definitely come back as soon as possible!

Great location, facilties are okay. Bathrooms and showers are tiny. Beds are okay. Shared space is usually used by families and kids, lots of families with small children and babies during my stay. Roof top not really a place to hang out, but had a washer and dryer. I'd stay again for convenience of location, but all the events and kitchen are at the sister facility, might try their first.

As an African man traveling and staying at Red Nest Hostel) Wednesday 20 November 2024 ) , I had an unpleasant and unsettling experience. On my second evening, at 11:00 PM, staff and a security guard entered my room to question if I was 'justified' to stay there. This happened despite having a confirmed reservation for two weeks.||||I looking for an affordable room In Benecelat, or russufa or away from the center. No deposit. I can rent to minimum 3 to 6 months. If you have something send me on my whatsapp +32 484 700 743.

Our experience in this hostel was awful. It was very dirty. The toilets are not decent. We could not manage to have a decent shower as the water preassure wast not strong enough and the water was just dripping through the wall and it was either too cold or too hot. There waw no place to hang our colthes and towels in the bathroom. The Sink was dirty and smelled very bad. The bedsheets and towels had stains on them. Lamps over the Bed were faling out. There were screws missing or loose from the bunkbeds which made us feel unsafe. When we arrived there didn’t have one of the individual rooms we had booked and one of us had to end up in a 6people room until 1:30 in the morning when they found his room. The poole table wasn’t working. Overall, and awful experience, definitely not recommended. (Look at the attached pictures )

Great location Facilities were decent had many outlets and mirror and air conditioning was great Always someone at reception Bathroom smelled awful like sulphur and eggs Bathroom didn’t feel clean the showers had problems either very hot or very cold Men were using women’s washroom we made a complaint to the desk but I don’t believe they did anything about this as a new man was in there the next day while I tried to shower We were in a 8 bed mixed dorm and there was an older man sleeping naked which made us uncomfortable for being young female travellers. The view from our room was looking into the men’s shower room which wasn’t ideal. Note their shower room had a balcony and huge windows for air flow while the women’s had zero air flow and smelled awful. We enjoyed the location but due to the uncomfortable encounters with the clientele in this hostel we would not return nor recommend.

I'd say this is exactly an exact 3 star experience for a budget hostel, nothing is terrible but not great either. The place itself is pretty old and feels kinda dirty, but the location is pretty central and easy to access most everything in the city on foot. The showers are pretty terrible for water temperature (switching from burning hot to ice cold constantly throughout the shower), but at least there were enough of them that I never had to wait for anyone else to finish. The beds didn't have privacy curtains, but at least they have large lockers (bring your own lock), and the doors to each room are locked so no one else can enter besides the people staying in the room. At the time I went, it was more like a refugee haven than a hostel, given that i seemed to be one of (if not the) only western tourists staying, but that could have been because it was Christmas season, and the refugees were all nice and friendly anyways. I would maybe consider staying here if I needed a cheap bed for a couple of nights to explore the city, but I'd recommend not coming here if you aren't able to rough it a little.

This place is very student-friendly with very supportive services. I will definitely be there very soon to explore the Valencia Center once again. 5 out of 5.

Location is the only advantage The hostel is old and shabby. The staff is just there, answer the questions like robots (doesn't know where to get city tour bus) Cleanliness is doubtful. No personal plug, of course no personal light or curtain. Wifi didn't work properly at night I was there. Wouldn't stay again, don't recommend.

Yelp
Great hostel. Minutes away walk from the city center. There is an upstairs terrace and bar that you can relax in. They held my luggage for most of the day after checking out. The fron desk workers work exceptionally great and accommodating. I believe there names were Sarah and Cedrick. During their rish hour of 11 am ish, i watched them deal with nice and angry clients but remained calm and positive throughout the whole process of them receiving their rooms. Hopefully they get to read this to recognize their great work.

Yelp
The front desk was super friendly and welcoming. The room I stayed is a 10 PPL room, large area to roam around. Few of the lockers were broken though. The bathrooms (toilet and shower) are clean The fifth floor bar is great to hangout Highly recommend it.

Yelp
red nest is a chain that can be found throughout espana (and i think some of europe too). one of their sister hostels, purple nest is only a 5 min walk away. red nest was a great place with a great mix of people. free sheets, lockers in your rooms (don't forget your locks), and an air conditioner thing parked in your room that works wonders. community bathrooms were always kept clean and towels were available to borrow (for a couple euro of course). wifi was available throughout the entire building!! they have a bar on the top floor, with rooftop access. cheap drinks and food - we were there during paella night. table for short-ranged beer pong, computers, pool table, and couches. front desk was phenomenal - so friendly and helpful. you can buy tickets to all the tourist attractions there too to skip the lines - bioparc, ciudad de ciencas, turistic bus, etc. location is great too, a short walk away from a cute little plaza where the bus stops, and right next to an ice cream shop.

Yelp
All in all the hostel was fair. Staff was friendly and the location was great. However, after staying there 3 out my 6 friends traveling had bed bug bites all over our bodies. We alerted the staff and they moved us to another room however, the next morning we another one of us had these bites. The really should have given us bug spray to spray down all of our clothes and luggage to prevent those pesky guys from returning. So I cannot and would not recommend this hostel due to the bed bugs. I even slept in my satin sleep protector and somehow wound up with bites on my forearms and face, bummer. Was able to prevent them from spreading into my apartment and will never stay at any red nest Hostel ever again.

Yelp
Firstly, the decor is so funky it makes you want to fro up your hair, throw on some flares and do the hustle! The staff were all friendly and helpful. The kitchen could do with an oven, but otherwise is more than adequate and the whole place has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Grat for meeting other travellers and very well located for getting around the city.

Yelp
Specifically created this account to write about the bedbug situation when I stayed at Red Nest on the weekend of Oct 7-9, 2014. Submitted a review to Tripadvisor back in October, but looks like it did not get published. Woke up with dozens of bites on my body. Front desk girl told me it was maybe "allergies" or "mosquitoes". She did ask me if I wanted to be moved, but no one came to look at the room/bed for over 24 hr. They did not pay for my laundry (I had to wash/dry ALL of my stuff). Bathroom was dirty. There was a big liquid soap/water spill on the floor. I told the front desk girl, because it was dangerous and slippery. She said she will send someone to clean it. No one came, and the bathroom stayed dirty the whole time I was there. I put some paper towels over the spill, and they stayed there on the floor for 2 days I was there. Looks like no one came to clean. Wifi does not work from inside the rooms. Overall, I wish I had gone elsewhere.
