Last Tuesday, I stayed at Aseana for the Mariah Carey concert. I chose the hotel because of its accessibility, and I was very pleased with the front office staff — they were professional, always smiling, and made guests feel truly welcome.
However, my experience in Cebu was quite different. The front office staff there were laughing and chatting among themselves in front of guests, which I found unprofessional and uncomfortable. I hope proper training can be provided to the Cebu team to improve professionalism and guest interaction.
As a General Manager of a resort myself, I always remind my staff to maintain professionalism and avoid laughing or chatting casually in front of guests. It’s important to always uphold a warm yet respectful atmosphere.
