We recently stayed at the Red Rock Inn while visiting Zion, and while there are several positives, the issues we experienced were significant enough that we wouldn’t return.||Pros:|The location is truly excellent—right across from Zion Guru, where we rented e-bikes and Narrows gear, and within easy walking distance to coffee and food options. The included breakfast was fantastic every morning and perfect fuel before long hiking days. Our room (the Gifford Room, #8) was spacious, very clean upon arrival, and had a mini kitchenette that allowed us to keep water cold. The bed was also comfortable.||Cons:|Unfortunately, the cons were disruptive enough to impact our trip. When we turned on the heat, it was extremely loud—fine during the day but impossible to sleep with. Even with earplugs, the noise level meant we couldn’t run the heater at night, and the room was very cold. When we brought this up to the front desk immediately after check-in, we were surprised that there was no offer to look at it or troubleshoot. Instead, we were told we could go across the street to the hardware store and buy a space heater ourselves. That response set the tone for the rest of the stay.||Noise was another issue. There is a rental unit above Room #8, and we could hear footsteps clearly, which again disrupted sleep.||Housekeeping was also inconsistent and frustrating. There’s a sign you can place on the door to request a room clean, which we did multiple times, but no one came. After checking with the front desk on day two, they did a refresh while we were at dinner. The following day, the sign was out again, but still no service until we specifically asked. At the price point, daily service should be standard, especially when you clearly indicate you want it.||Overall:|While the inn has many things going for it—location, breakfast, and room comfort on paper—the heating issue, noise, and lack of consistent housekeeping made our stay far less comfortable than it should have been. These issues directly affected our sleep during a trip centered around big hikes, which is disappointing. They seem close to being a great lodging option in Springdale, but they’re not there yet. We would not stay here again or recommend it.
