Art and Culture in Denver

"There isn’t a concert experience anywhere in the world that rivals the absolute awesomeness that is Red Rocks. The views of the Denver skyline sit atop the stage, itself in a near-surreal setting. Not only does this gorgeous outcropping of hills and rocks host an unforgettable amphitheatre, but you can also take in a bit of high altitude bliss on the many hiking trails both in Red Rocks proper and at the adjacent Matthews/Winters Park. On-site is the Colorado Music Hall of Fame where you can learn up on the musical legends born in Denver over the years, and just across Hog Back Road, you can have a look at the fossils of Dinosaur Ridge. Plan to spend most of a day exploring Red Rocks Park and the town of Morrison, where you’ll find a number of restaurants and shops. If you’re not attending a concert, the amphitheater is open during the day to tour and is a popular spot for yoga and stair runners." - MATADOR_NETWORK

Visited on a Wednesday night, April 24, 2024 after the concert. It was a little after midnight, so technically 4/25. I just wanted to capture a few pics of these amazing views before my flight the next day. The rocks are massive and views of Denver exceptional. It truly feels like a magical place! There were a few people still working, but they were kind enough to let me walk around and take pictures. I absolutely love it here! 🧡

Google
Breathtakingly beautiful. The scenery is just too pretty to capture in just one picture. I loved coming here with my family and my dog. Once we made it to the top we could appreciate the whole city as well as the sunset. I was here in April so it wasn’t as cold but definitely bring a jacket if you’re planning to visit.

Google
Very neat place. Although today was very hot. We limited our walks. Bring plenty of water if hiking in the heat! (DRY HEAT). AND if you are not used to the altitude it's pretty rough! If you park up top(very limited) easier to get to see the amphitheater.

Red Rock park is a breathtaking destination, perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in nature. The towering red sandstone formations create a stunning backdrop, making it an unforgettable spot for photography and outdoor exploration. While we visited in the afternoon, unfortunately missing out on the iconic amphitheater due to a show taking place, the experience was still remarkable. The trails are diverse and offer a variety of experiences for hikers of all skill levels. We took the time to explore the surroundings and were treated to an incredible mix of wild fruit and vibrant sunflowers. It’s easy to get lost in the peaceful beauty of the area, with the wildflowers swaying in the breeze and the sun casting golden light across the landscape. Though we didn’t get to see the amphitheater in action, the views alone made it worthwhile. The sun-soaked trails and stunning vistas are a great way to connect with nature and experience the Colorado landscape up close. If you're in the area, definitely plan to hike here and take in the full range of colors, scents, and sights. Just remember, it's worth checking ahead to see if there are any shows or events that might limit access to certain parts of the park. Regardless, the natural beauty is something you won't want to miss!

This park is so quaint beautiful and it walks you through. There are 5 parking lots..upper north is closest to the amphitheater. On non event days it opens 1 hour before sunrise..I've heard on event days it's a serpentine queue for vehicles. Amazing rocks..great square for snacks..many restrooms..a coffee bar and souvenir shop in the historical centre. Entry is free...you need good energy to walk around climb steps and atleast 1 hour to see around. Must visit when in Denver..Colorado...

I came for the Yoga Red Rocks event which doors opened at 6am, started at 7am ended up 8am. It was super duper fun. This event pushed me personally a bit as I usually do things with other people but saw this event, booked it, bought a yoga mat, and showed up. From when the doors open till around 9:15am at the top of the space is souvenir, clothing, snacks, and drinks. They hold concerts here as well and you’ll see more information about that and the location and what it has to offer in a little museum right below the souvenir are. It truly was a good time being warm yet not scorching hot and the views of the city from up top were gorgeous. Definitely arrive on the earlier side if you’ve got a ‘General Admission’ ticket especially with a car finding parking.

Red Rock Mountain is a wonderful place to visit. The views are absolutely stunning - the natural red rock formations create an unforgettable landscape. For those who enjoy exercising outdoors, this is a perfect spot. The hills and steps offer a great challenge for walking, hiking, or running, all while surrounded by beautiful scenery. It's not only a treat for the eyes but also a great place to stay active and connect with nature. Whether you're a tourist or a local, it's definitely worth the visit.

Google
So amazing! Get here if you get a chance. Go all the way up until you go through the tunnel so as to avoid too many stairs. Terrific wheel chair accessible parking at the circle lot. Great restaurant in the bottom floor of the museum area with an amazing patio. Tourist trap pricing at the gift shop.

Yelp
Being water for the long walk that you are about to experience!! Be aware if you park down the hill, you will have to adventure up the mountain and it was an exhausting. But worth it for the first experience jsut wish someone would have warned us. Seeing the whole mountain and trail was awesome. Everyone had the same feeling walking up these steps. I would arrive early when sun is still out to be able to see the beautiful unbelievable view The most beautiful Mountain View when the sun hits the green. At night a whole different vibe you can't see the mountains. Wear comfortable shoes cause you will definitely be exhausted at the end of the night. The seating area is concrete.

Yelp
Red Rocks Amphitheater is truly a magical place, and experiencing sunrise yoga there was unforgettable. I visited over the summer while staying with a friend in Denver, and it was my first time doing yoga--honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better introduction. The sight of the sun rising over the towering red rocks was breathtaking, casting a golden glow over the amphitheater packed with yogis. The energy was incredible, with everyone moving in sync as the cool morning air slowly warmed up. Even as a beginner, I felt completely at ease, soaking in the peaceful yet powerful atmosphere. Beyond the yoga itself, the amphitheater was impressively clean and well-maintained, and the views of Denver in the distance made the experience even more special. Whether you're into yoga or not, starting your morning at Red Rocks is a must. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Yelp
Wow! This has to be one of the most beautiful place in America to attend a concert! You have to be in pretty good shape to climb the sloped sidewalk from the parking lot to all of the stairs to get to your seats. While there is an elevator inside, you still need to navigate stairs to get to your seats. There is also inclement weather, like high winds and torrential downpours, lightning, and thunder that you may have to contend with. I went to the KLove musical festival, which was a two day event, and on the first night we had to wait two hours for the concert to resume and they evacuated everyone to their cars because of the lightning! We were stuck in a serious deluge! There is food sold at the top of the venue and that's where the concert T-shirts were being sold too. The sound here is amazing! The views are spectacular! The seats are hard! Carved into the rock, you should bring a cushion if you prefer to sit for a concert. The stage is actually set in between two rock formations, and there are 2 giant rocks that jut out and above on each side of the amphitheater. Oddly, there aren't any places to stay that are close to this venue. I stayed with a friend and we had about a 45 minute drive there and back. You should go early if you want a close parking space in the too lot. They also offer shuttle bus service to the top entrance of the venue. If you are disabled, there are places for you to sit and view the concert at the top. You can also bring some snacks in and an unopened water bottle. I'm really glad I had the opportunity to see a concert here. I would definitely go back. One last thing, there is a historic museum that tells the history of Red Rocks Amphitheater and all of the musicians who performed here over the years! It is very cool, don't miss it!

Yelp
Must visit if you visit Denver! Come in morning before 4pm, it's free It's beautiful nature that we couldn't imagine that's even exist :) Bring your own water or snacks, the walk steps are long and elevated, so you don't need to buy anything there (it's expensive:) The parking is huge too Enjoy the nature! Yelp
A must see if you are in the area. The amphitheater is historic and beautiful. The trail around and the surrounding areas are also great to go exploring. I went in a solo trip and it was nice to see how the space is used on a random Monday. People were exercising, lots of tourist, some local youth taking band pics, and an actual band doing a sound check on stage. Even with all that happening at once, space felt relaxed. Lots of photo opportunities and the staff are very friendly.

Yelp
This gorgeous outdoor amphitheater is just one of the amazing sights to see if you're near Denver. I was able to enjoy this when I came for a visit. They usually have huge concerts or private events here and I can certainly see why. I've been in awe of such beautiful locations and this natural wonder is easily at the top of my list. If you're lucky enough to come here, be sure to stop by their visitor center so you can see some of the historic facts about Red Rocks. You'll love it as much as I did!

Yelp
Visited this place on early summer morning, great place to see sunrise. We parked at the upper lot (pass thru The Tunnel to get to parking lot). It is so beautiful and easy trails surrounding the amphitheater. The red rock is the best God-made amphitheater, I wish I can come back to enjoy the concert one day. This is a must-go place for anyone visiting Denver.

Yelp
Red Rocks Amphitheatre has been used for outdoor performances for over a century. Frankly, I feel it is one of the best venues in the country. If you have an opportunity to catch a band here, do it. Awesome views, awesome performances, awesome sound quality. NOT TO BE MISSED! There are plenty of options for lodging nearby or in Golden. From Golden, Red Rocks is a hop and a skip. Parking is a tiny bit disorganized (but I've see a lot worse), and it wasn't completely clear where we should go when we first arrived. But we finally found a good spot, under direction of the staff. Many folks were tailgating from their cars, which I wished we had planned for! From parking to the venue, be prepared for a long walk. There really is no way around it. We were stunned when we saw the venue. Nestled in a natural canyon of, yes, red rocks, bench seats sweep up from the stage quite high in the canyon. There really isn't a bad seat to be found, except the ones we got: right above the sound equipment! The view is slightly obstructed in these seats (albeit not terribly). All the seats are benches, and can be a bit uncomfortable for a lengthy concert. Some folks brought pillows and blankets (again, another idea we wished we had thought of), and others even brought small foldable "chairs" (proper chairs aren't allowed, but self-supporting seats are). We loved the concert, and were able to spend some time standing and swaying to the beat, with other times sitting and enjoying. Regarding food and drink, there's plenty available, but it can be a bit daunting getting to it if you're in the upper reaches, or lower, if you want the options up top. Be prepared for a walk and climb if you're grabbing either. But you'll enjoy it when you have it! Great venue! I hope to go again in the future!

Yelp
What a great setting and location. I want to come back here when there's a concert! We were just visiting the area and stopped by on our drive to visit someone. This is such a fantastic place for a bit of hiking as well as a bit of rest. We brought over some lunch which we were able to eat while seated in the amphitheater and enjoying the spectacular weather and views. The restrooms by the parking lot are immaculate and really nice. I love the large wooden doors, and the bathrooms themselves were clean and well functioning. They have a small museum (free admission) which is fun as well. Coming from California, not having to pay for parking, admission to the amphitheater, admission to the museum, etc. is a weird feeling - we love charging (a lot) for everything in California. If you're nearby, or better yet, if there's a concert, go and visit!

Yelp
Just an incredible landmark!!! Surrounded by giant red rocks, you walk in a theater suddenly that can sit almost 7,000 people. It's amazing what humans can achieve. Building a rock concert stage in the middle of giant rocks. On concert days the Amphitheater is closed about 2.5 hours before the show to general public. They only allow cars to the parking lots if you have tickets, else you have to walk. Not worth it in my opinion. Better turn back and come back next day to enjoy the site fully. It takes about half an hour or so to go around the pavilion and it's surrounding. There are stalls serving food and drinks during concert hours. The small museum catches the historical aspect of the theater. There's Colorado music hall of fame as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Rightfully one of the most beloved venues in the country. I generally prefer nature undisturbed, but if you're going to build something here, couldn't imagine any better than this. Great setting, sound, and sight everywhere. Lots of space, you don't feel crammed in. And it's a city park, with free public access in the mornings and off season. Parking is a bit of a pain, accessed by small winding roads, so I park down the hill: it's a lot more pleasant to go for a short scenic hike on the way in than trudging through an asphalt field.

Yelp
Beautiful views. Just 30 mins from our hotel we decided to drive to Red Rock Amphitheatre. There was little to almost no parking because of an event that evening, luckily we found a spot and hiked up to the trading post. We decided, we were just going to hang out here for a bit and try again the next day. The views were beautiful, the air was fresh and crisp.
google avatar

Yelp
Does a better concert venue exist?? Yes, Red Rocks is iconic but it is definitely worth it to see a show here at least once. You can tailgate before the show and bring in food (fits inside a 1 gal ziploc), empty water bottle, and sealed plastic non-alcoholic drinks into each concert. Just prepare yourself for some inclines, stairs, or both. I have sat in all area of Red Rocks for a concert and it has ALWAYS been an amazing experience!

Yelp
I really enjoyed this beautiful piece of scenario while visiting Denver with 2 friends. The amphitheater is free to visit, except for concerts/events. We first stopped at the Trading Post. It has merch to buy along with snacks and some info about the origins of the theater. It also has a cutesy art corner of local artists pieces. Definitely check that out. Then, we made our way to a steep walk up the winding ramp to the base of the theater. This definitely winded me, but not enough to stop, I just took it slow. Once at the base, you can get a great view of the stage. You can watch people working out on the steps. Then we made our way up the 193 steps to they top plaza of the theater. I took my time with this too, but it was better than the ramp. Once you arrive at the top, take in the beautiful views of the city and surrounding Red Rocks, making you feel like an ant. Take some great photos. We then made our way to the visitor center and the Red Rock Hall of Fame. Which was cool to see, and it's nice to enjoy a little AC. So many artists of all genres have played here. It's pretty interesting to learn more about how this was created, the first performance at the theater, etc. You could really spend an entire day at the park, hiking, enjoying the views, driving around the park, exercising on the steps. I loved that they show movies here and have yoga and fitness events. Sad I missed the yoga. We didn't get a chance to take in a concert, not enough time. But it seems pretty epic to see someone perform here. Artists love performing at this venue because of the acoustics and energy. It's a fun place to get your steps in and see something majestic.

Yelp
Seeing a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater has been on my bucket list for years and the experience exceeded all expectations! The beauty of the setting is stunning and acoustics are amazing. There are a LOT of stairs and steps to navigate so be prepared. I'm sure there are ways for people with physical limitations to access the venue, though I didn't see any. Seating is on concrete rows with wooden benches. The veterans brought cushions and stadium seats. I will next time. Concessions are spread around the venue, however, the food concessions are at the top which depending on where you are seated, can be a hike. Parking lots are spread around the park and can involve a hike. My best advice is to arrive very early and enjoy the park and amphitheater before the show begins. Definitely find a musical act that you enjoy (we saw The Avett Brothers and Little Feat) and go to Red Rocks. You will not be disappointed!
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
Beautiful, historic venue that's a must-see when visiting the Denver area. Lots of inclines to reach the venue, and you more than likely will have to park at least a half mile away or more from the venue. Sound quality is incredible, and the visuals and set up are great. The crowd isn't the best though, and I wouldn't recommend seeing an EDM show here as there's not much room to dance without fear of falling down the steps or bumping into someone.

Yelp
It on! It started last night! Widespread Panic Weekend at Red Rocks Amphitheater! Ain't life grand!

Yelp
We didn't even come to Red Rocks to see a concert, we just came here for the views. And we are glad we did. I can see why this place is so famous. Red Rocks is just stunning, it gives the you the perfect view of Denver in the background, the way the rocks are carved out and shaped is just beautiful, a attraction like Red Rocks really makes you feel appreciative of the wonders of the world and the world that we live in and it makes you feel blessed that god chose you to be in such a beautiful world that we live in today. Anyways red rocks is definitely not wheelchair accessible and it really makes you tired going up and down the stairs. There is a welcome center with clean bathrooms as well as plaques on statues that represent famous people. YOU HAVE TO COME HERE IF YOUR EVER IN DENVER. I CANT EVEN REALLY DESCRIBE THE VIEW, ITS JUST STUNNING.
google avatar

Kal C.

Yelp
Bucket list item smashed. Sessanta was perfect here (Primus, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer). This is the world's best music venue. What is there to say? I was under the impression they'd allow you to choose the parking lot based on where your seats were. We were guided in, with no decision-making ability. For some people, it means walking in a circle to avoid the ramp line. Be prepared for a bit of a walk. Considering its remote location (compared to typical venues), the concession offerings are decent and quick. The bathrooms are heated but co-ed. It's hard to find your seat if there are a lot of people. It gets tight. The acoustics are amazing, and seeing lightning in the distance behind the stage was phenomenal. They have lights that point at the rocks and remind you of the beautiful, natural setting you're in. If Phantogram plays here again, I'm selling my soul to be there.
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
Legendary place to see just about anybody. Bonnie Raitt, Joe Bonamassa, Perfect circle, Duran Duran...etc. You can see jazz, blues, rock metal, movies, etc. Weather can be crazy so plan accordingly....rain, snow, lightning...oh my Parking is a major pain in the arse I've actually taking the vans which you can purchase tickets for. Morrison is a great place to grab a drink and meal before
google avatar

Sara C.

Yelp
If you ever have the chance to see a show at Red Rocks, do not hesitate - absolutely do it! Even if you live within a few-hour flight or drive, still make it happen. If you couldn't tell from the hyperbole of my introduction, I think Red Rocks is one of the best venues ever :-) We saw Nine Inch Nails, and everything was amazing - the acoustics, the views, the vibes - everything. The hike up to the entrance is a little intense, just so you know if you have mobility issues or anything. There are vans that come around to drive folks up to the top, so be on the lookout for those if you're not able to make the walk up. You will have a seat number, but the seating is benches so the folks standing around you can creep over into your space (intentionally or not, as there is a lot of dancing and swaying that can happen) Even with those small drawbacks, it is still 1000% worth it to see a show at Red Rocks!

Yelp
This first trip to CO was planned with the concert and a mini reunion of sorts while staying with friends who live near Ft Collins. Last fall we purchased tickets to see Sammy Hagar & opener Loverboy on a Sunday night. The beauty of this venue is evident in pictures online, and we were excited to see it in person. We read up on what to expect, which is you may take in refillable water bottles, packed food, and stadium cushions. We were confused about all the cars parked along the road leading to the venue. We knew that parking is included in the ticket price. We kept going, thinking there had to be lots ahead. There were, and we parked. There were portapotties set up by the parking lot which came in handy. We walked uphill to the steps. There were a lot of steps. I don't know if it was just me being out of shape, or the altitude. I think it was both, but it was a rough few minutes. The staff were planted at the platforms, checking bags and policing any liquids. I had to dump the water from my small thermos bottle but was told I could refill it once "inside". The next set of staff were scanning tickets. We stopped at the first stand to get a snack and drinks. Once we found our row and seats, we could really see our surroundings and the stage. It is all bench seating and we felt like we had plenty of room. Then came more people and once the show started, I realized they really cram people in here. The show was fantastic; great sound, and the visibility was enhanced by the big screens. We really enjoyed ourselves. We tried to cut out early before the encore and walked out to the right when we should have left the way we came in. We stupidly got lost trying to find our parking lot going the wrong way when we thought we could circle around. We finally made it, but could have just stayed for the end of the show. Next time we will know.
google avatar

Rachel W.

Yelp
What an amazing venue! So glad I finally got to see a show here. The views of the city at twilight, beautiful rocks surrounding you, great acoustics and no bad seat in the house. We took a shuttle in from the city easy in and out. The stairs and steepness is no joke. You will quickly realize how out of shape you are :) Any show would be great here.
google avatar

Yelp
Never have I ever been to Red Rocks Amphitheater. If this is you, then you need to add it to your bucket list, STAT! I've been to a lot of venues, but this place takes the cake! For starters, the views are absolutely stunning! Those incredible red rocks that embody the park and amphitheater are simply breathtaking! The seating is spacious and quite honesty any seat is a great seat! Just being there is really what it's all about! Seriously peeps! If you're in the area and not even here for a concert...which I highly recommend tho...you can still check it out!

Yelp
This amphitheater is a beauty ! Nestled between 2 canyons, the drive to the location is pretty. There is a restaurant under the visitor center with a hall of fame wall for all the performers My only wish, if we could come back for a concert visit !
google avatar

Yelp
Just go to red rocks! Beautiful space Great views On days where there are no events, you can go up to the amphitheater, get in a run, chill and have a picnic, whatever! There are also lots of (small) trail systems around.

Yelp
I thought that I didn't need to even mention how amazing this place is, everyone knows it right? Well was taking to someone yesterday that did not have a clue as if they never heard. Well it's a bucket list item for most people to attend or even for performers. If you get to perform here it's like "you've made it". If you get to enjoy a concert here "you've made it". Extraordinary place to imagine that it was built between 1936 and 1941. This is only my 2nd concert here but WOW!!! I've come here dozens of times just to see it and that's a whole different experience to see what goes on during the time before concerts in action. But the museum below is just incredible. Timelines of who's performed and when they performed and how many times they've been there. Anybody have any kind of musical significance have performed there. Except for Elvis, Frank Sinatra, or Michael Jackson. But most every significant rock band has. Talk about the acoustics! There's nothing like it as I know. I've listened to bands warm up of music that I don't really care for and they sound amazing. The ideal bucket list is to find your favorite musical artist and see when they're going to perform and make a journey. It's truly unforgettable. Parking was easy getting out from the seats to the highway was 30 minutes with 9600 people exiting at the same time. Really truly an amazing venue. And by the way, the food was pretty damn good.

Yelp
We had heard about this Amphitheater from our friend Mechelle, who used to live in Denver. So we decided to check it out and admire its beauty. The land on which Red Rocks Amphitheater resides is the traditional territory of the Ute, Cheyenne and Arapahoe Peoples. The Ute, Cheyenne and Arapahoe are among the 48 contemporary tribal nations having an historic presence on the land that makes up the State of Colorado. The venue got its green light to be built in 1936 and it took five years to be built. To grade the theater so that all seats would have great views of the stage, workers removed 50,000 cubic feet of dirt and rock. Although steam shovels accomplished some of the heaviest work, most of the muscle came from the picks and shovels, wheelbarrows and rock sleds of the dollar-a-day workers. Today, there is a nice museum highlighting all the stars that have performed here and it's a great history of music performance. Think of the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Bonnie Raitt, John Denver, U2, Bob Dylan, Diana Ross and many many more.......For many years, this venue was the music venue with most yearly attendance in the entire country.

Yelp
My wife and I visited this famous event venue for sightseeing, not concert. The stage and open seating area is set between two stunning red rocks. The view around the event area was breath taking. I saw several couples of short trails which I would love to do next time. The visitor center, restaurant, food carts, and restrooms are located at the top of the seating area. There is also a gift shop or trading post a short distance from the amphitheater. Parking and admission to non concert events are free. This is a great place for sightseeing when in Denver.

Yelp
The most beautiful venue I have been to. I didn't get the chance to see a show here, but came here early in the morning to experience the scenery before my flight home. Be sure to check the event list in advance, I drove here the day before but got turned away bc the amphitheater was being set for the show later that night. I didn't a hike around the area instead and came at 8am. Started raining as I was finishing up my time here

Yelp
It was a cool, crisp night, such a treat for this SoCal girl, and there was magic in the air. Not sure if the credit goes to Brandi Carlile who performed on 9/7, or the lovely ladies who took me or the gorgeous Red Rocks Ampitheatre it was probably a little of all three. The acoustics were phenomenal, the staff was helpful, and Brandi drew a nice crowd. Hands down it is one of the most intimate, beautiful settings I've seen a show in. Things to consider, especially if you are new: 1.There are multiple entrances (but you can't see them driving in) and parking is mostly roadside, use a geolocator so you can find your car after. 2. You will walk uphill and if you're lucky you will grab a cab to the top (do it) for $20 our driver got 4 of us fairly close 3. It isn't cold once you sit, but it's a little crisp on the way up 4. It's truly magical so bring your tissues if you're a crybaby like me. Enjoy!

Yelp
In town to see the Norah Jones concert, it could have not been at a better venue. There is plenty of parking at the venue. However, the trek up is not for the faint of heart. There are Ubers and taxis available for those who may need it. Staff here is great is helping guide the way to your seat. There is also plenty of signs that help point you in the right direction. There is food and drinks for purchase located throughout the venue. Prices are average, which is sarcasm for expensive. In my opinion there are no bad seats. Once the concert began, the acoustics were unbelievable. You could hear every instrument, down to the bass player. This is hands down one of the best venues I have been to. Norah jones was unbelievable in person. Overall, I highly recommend you come and check out a concert here; this place was fantastic!

Yelp
We flew in exclusively to come see Manchester Orchestra play Red Rocks and enjoy the much anticipated venue of what I had felt is one of the must unique venues in my opinion. We were slightly nervous about weather and parking and as we were driving from Denver to Red Rock some heavy showers were slowing. Surprisingly as we neared the amphitheater the sky's parted and sun came out. Luckily the rain was done! Parking was a little uncertain as to how it worked but this to was not as nerve racking as expected we got a spot on n the lower lot. We hung out in the lot before the show and had a few drinks. The toughest part was making our way to and from the venue parking lot. It was a bit of a hike but didn't help we had traveled all day and the elevation was a little winding. The staff was extremely nice and welcome. It was actually refreshing that they made it fun upon arrival and very helpful on any questions we had. We had 7 row center and Wow the seats were absolutely amazing. As showtime approached and the sun set the atmosphere was outstanding and continued to get better. The ambiance of where we were was absolutely stunning. I'm extremely picky about sound and in fact was audio engineer some years ago. I have been to some of many coveted venues and Red Rocks absolutely surpassed my expectations. Acoustics where the phenomenal and vantage points were incredible with perfect slightly almost anywhere. Absolutely amazing! I wish i was able to frequent Red Rocks but i'm sure we will be flying from Chicago again sometime soon just to enjoy this venue. Bravo!!!!!

Yelp
Unbelievable venue! Insane scenery and not a bad seat in the house. Came for Beauty School Dropout, Bad Suns and All Time Low. First time here and didn't want to risk a hassle with Uber so rode shuttle to/from venue from downtown. A little pricey but convenient as it drops you off at upper north lot. Bonus is making friends along the ride! I was mesmerized by the backdrop and surrounding views of Red Rocks. All three bands were great! All Time Low played new and old and played up right to the 11:00 noise curfew. Such a cool vibe and experience to soak in. Be prepared for LOTS of stairs. I logged 38 floors during the evening. Bathrooms are clean and aplenty so no massive lines. Stairs are involved with every move. Every. Move. A variety of drinks and food are available at venue. Typical concert prices. A must see if in the Denver area!

Yelp
This place is on social media, and it looked so cool, so I had to check it out. I didn't go for a concert, which I heard is a must because the acoustics are great as the sound bounces off the rocks and how the place is shaped. I visited during the daytime when they were setting up, and just seeing it in that atmosphere was great! We started off from the top where the Uber driver took us and worked my way down by the street to the town. It was nice seeing the museum and the small gift shop too. There are trails here, so wear the proper shoes if you want to do these as well. This is a must if you're looking for something unique to do in the area.

Yelp
*This review is NOT based on a concert outing but a morning visit to see the site.* Built during the Great Depression, the Red Rocks Project was the most ambitious project by the Workers Progress Administration (WPA) and the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). Now that I got that out, Red Rocks Amphitheatre would be the HIGHLIGHT of my visit to Denver. I've been to the Hollywood Bowl, another open-air amphitheater, and the comparison is unmistakable far and wide as this takes the winning prize. The location of this beauty surrounded by two monumental sandstones is ASTOUNDING. There is also a glimpse of the Downtown at the very top. I came here twice because we arrived hours before a show the first time I was here, so that we couldn't walk past the security. After hearing praises about the place, we returned in the morning. When we arrived, there were plenty of parking spaces, and many came to exercise by running the stairs. I even saw a fireman fully dressed walking the stairs. Now, that was commitment. With the elevation and the acoustics bouncing off the rocks, I couldn't imagine how music would beautifully sound at this venue. There is a visitor center and a trading post where you can purchase apparel and other goods inside and underneath the arena. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.

Yelp
My review is for the entire compound including the trails. We did not catch a show here, although someday, I have no doubt we will. Red Rocks is a marvel of civic engineering and design. It blends harmoniously into it's surroundings, and it's stunning. Just getting to Red Rocks is a fun journey. There's winding roads up to the top. I cannot speak for parking during an event, but in the morning when the Venus is open to the public, there was no charge for parking. Once you get to the amphitheater, it's an amazing view! There's lots of seating on largue graduated steps. In the distance, you can see the Denver skyline. When the venue is open to the public during the day, you are free to roam around, and there are also many on-site nature trails. Once we explored the venue, we went on a hike through a few of the trails. It was great to be able to get in a good morning's workout hiking . There was a bit of elevation change, so be sure you are wearing good hiking shoes and dress accordingly. We even saw deer on the trail! Overall Red Rocks is an incredible place, and I would highly recommend this iconic Denver destination. Next time, we'll to definitely catch a show here as well!

Yelp
Went for a nice 2 mile looped hike in the Red Rocks. It was a bit challenging to find parking, as an event was happening at the same time, but my group and I were able to secure a spot without having to worry about getting a ticket for the actual event. The Red Rocks were beautiful! I had seen photos before, but those are pale in comparrison to seeing them in real life. The loop itself was nice, some stairs to go down, stairs to climb and just being able to be apart of nature and see everything that nature had to show us. Additionally, getting out of the venue once the concert goers packed it in was easy. So knowing that even with a concert happening, getting in and out was a blast. Added bonus, dog friendly.

Yelp
I have not had the privilege of attending a concert at this location, but I would imagine that it would be one of the most life-changing experiences in my life. I went to view the amphitheater on a weekday. The staff was already getting ready for a concert. I saw several parking areas, There are a lot of bathrooms, concession stands, places to just stand and enjoy the scenery. Definitely an amazing place for the concert. There are several hiking trails around the amphitheater. There is a small gift shop that has a very clean restroom below it. There's also a small area where people can have private events. While I was there. Someone was getting married. What a beautiful backdrop for their wedding. Also, there are ton of water fountains, and places for you to refill your water bottles.

Yelp
We saw SOFI TUKKER last night in the iconic venue and decided to do reviews of live acts here. They were amazing! If you get a chance to see them on the Bread tour please do yourself the favor!

Yelp
I love this place, Who doesn't love red rocks. The views are spectacular, The energy is always positive The lines for food are a bit crazy but they manage to get you your items fairly fast! You don't wait any longer than 5 to 7 mins for food or beverages. However just the view and the sound Are beyond my wildest dreams! This place is stellar, unique and beautiful beyond Any words I can come up with! I will say PARKING is a nightmare! Tag where you park your car or you might just loose it! Come early and enjoy tailgating and meet new people. It's apart of the whole experience!

Yelp
I am a huge concert fan and I love the red rocks venu! It is gorgeous, and the views are unmatched. I've been to a handful of shows here, but I have never been where I couldn't find a seat. We came here for Sleep Token 2024 tour, and the doors opened at 6:30pm, the opener started before 8 pm, and Sleep Token came on at 9 pm. We got to the parking lot early to pregame and hangout, we left to get in line before 6pm and the lines were insanely long. We ended up walking from the lower south lot 2 all the way to the upper north lot, 1.5 miles walked and all uphill. We did that because staff were saying that line was shorter and they had more people to check bags and scan tickets so it would go quicker. By the time we reached that lot, they were letting people in, and we did not wait long at all, maybe 25mins. We were in the amphitheater before 7. We really wanted to buy merch and get the red rocks exclusive poster. We immediately got in line for the merch where the line started at the top of the stairs, and the merch was at the bottom. We finally got our merch by 8:50pm. By that time, the entire place was full, and finding a seat was impossible. It really felt as if they oversold the place by a lot because not only all the seats taken but people standing in all entree ways and stairs. We had to stand in the stairs just right of the stage. Thankfully, we could see well, and the sound was still amazing! The only downside was a tree in our way. Also, red rocks have a strick 11pm cutoff due to noise restrictions, so it won't be a late night here. Sleep Token stopped playing at 10:45pm. While we waited in line for merch, I grabbed us 2 tall boys and water to drink. It cost $40. It's pricey here and be aware they are card only, no cash. This venu has a great number of bathrooms, I never waited in a long line to go, and they are located all over. They are also very clean. I wish this venu opened up sooner so the lines weren't as long, but the free parking is a huge plus. If you plan to come here, wear good shoes, bring a rain coat, have people reserve you a spot and bring a card for payment. But definitely worth it.

Yelp
First concert to see 30 seconds to Mars and AFI. The venue nor the band disappointed one bit. Can't wait to go back in '25.

Yelp
Incredible music venue!!! For such a huge place, it was pretty easy to park (for free!), get drinks, & exit . There isnt a bad seat in the house! The acoustics & stage video screens were top notch. Saw the Chainsmokers & they just put on the most energetic show. Everyone was dancing in their seats & having the best time. Weather was perfect, and I loved seeing the moon & skyline in the background. I'd come back in a heartbeat!

Yelp
First constructed like hundreds of millions of years ago (seats and stage etc added later), Red Rocks has hosted many amazing musical acts and other performances/events over the years. I've managed to see a few shows here and can say that in my opinion, this is one of the best venues of all time. Large enough for a good crowd, small enough so that every seat in the house is at least within a decent range of the stage. Outstanding acoustics, generally cool or at least cool-ish weather and at least in my experiences, free parking. About that parking, it can be a bit of a hike from the lower lots to the seating area, so if that's something you want to avoid, either get there early enough to park up top, or there are some cabs that'll save you the workout and deliver you right up to the area where you wait to scan your ticket. Concessions are about average, and the prices are ok. There are water filling stations for refilling your water bottle so you don't have to keep buying more of those. A museum, a bit of nature to explore on the surrounding grounds, and of course lots of amazing concerts. If you've been before, you already know. If you haven't, get there early and spend some time exploring the whole place. There's a lot to see, and that early arrival might net you some prime parking at the top.

Yelp
Great concert venue! Had a blast seeing dom dolla. The best venue for great acoustics and a light show.

Yelp
The location is a wonderful experience as the stage is tucked between the red rocks. Regardless of who is playing.

Yelp
Kind of a bucket list item to see a concert here. It's so beautiful. We saw Lainey Wilson and she was full of energy, stories, and appreciation for playing in a place so special. We didn't really know what we were doing for parking so we followed the cars off and to the right and ended up in a lot very close to the theatre. That said, the line to get in took another 45 min. Each person has to have a bag checked. They have to be wanded. It took forever. We parked a little after 6 and the concert was just beginning by the time we found our seats a little after 7pm. We were in row 27 and discovered the bathrooms were way up at the top. Lots of steps so plan your errands well. For the most part, I was able to sit in my seat (number on a concrete slab) without feeling too squished, but toward the end, the two girls next to us brought two other people over. We were standing by then so there was enough room but it was pretty cozy. We brought a blanket to sit on which was nice. We dressed in layers but it ended being a nice night. Not as cool as I thought it would get. I'd suggest going early. By the we time we got there it was getting dark already so not a lot of great pics of the vastness of the place. Many many people tailgate so try that if you want to go early. We left a song early which I'm glad we did. I think it would have taken forever to get out. Drinks were around $13 for a huge can. Wine was also sold in cans. The setting is really quite amazing. Nothing like it. So glad we were able to go.

Yelp
I've been lucky enough to visit Red Rocks a few times and it truly is one of the best music venues in the world. It's pretty mind boggling how intimate the venue feels yet it's fairly large. The views will blow you away and the acoustics and light show always elevate any concert or show. What's pretty cool about Red Rocks is that it is open to the general public to walk around during the day. I've seen multiple yoga classes, folks working out, reading a book, eating gummies, date night, literally all the things lol. What really makes Red Rocks a 5-star concert experience is how well organized and throughout their venue space is. Multiple bars throughout for ease of access, plenty of water stations, bathrooms at the bottom and top. It is an amphitheater style so be mindful. Every seat is a good seat and not many places can say that. I also love how encouraging this space is for standing and dancing because you don't have a blocked view! #Winning It's hard to explain a Red Rock experience but it's everything and more truly.
