We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The bed was surprisingly comfortable — one of the best we’ve had in a while — and the room itself was decent, nothing fancy but functional. One of the biggest positives for us is that the first pet stays for free, which is a great perk for pet owners traveling on a budget. However, there were some drawbacks. The shower dripped all night, which was a bit annoying, and the air conditioning unit was quite loud. Another thing to note is that the surrounding area has a noticeable number of homeless people, which might make some guests uncomfortable. Overall, if you're traveling with a pet and looking for a place that’s affordable and pet-friendly, this hotel offers good value for the price. Just be prepared for some minor inconveniences.

We stayed here for our anniversary. It was close to everything we wanted to see. The front desk staff, Amy, was extremely helpful and got us in to our room 8 hours early because our train arrived early morning. This also is a great value, and we will stay here again.

Google
Truly disappointed. I stayed here for my wedding and everything started off great—until I learned they charge an additional $15 for parking, separate from the hotel rate. This was never clearly communicated beforehand. The room itself was far from luxurious, especially for a downtown location and the price paid. Overall, not something I would recommend.

If I could give this DISGUSTING place ZERO stars, I would. Roaches all over the room! I killed two upon arrival and went to complain to the women who were downstairs upon arrival. They were very kind and accommodating. However, I just had to leave in the middle of the night WITH MY CHILD because roaches were literally in our beds, and all over the floor. I went downstairs with photos and videos and wanted a refund since there was NO WAY I was staying. I tried to talk to the super dismissive and rude front desk clerk who offered me no assistance, and his attitude was terrible the entire time. He literally made me madder than I already was, which I didn’t think was possible. You couldn’t pay me to stay in a disgusting place like this!

Google
If I could give this place a zero I definitely would it was an overall a horrible experience. This hotel is not maintained or cleaned the moment I walked in there was bad odor, as soon as arrived to the room I called front desk as there were roaches roaming all over the room coming in and out of the restroom vent. There was mold in the restroom and in the ceiling of the room it’s smelled so dirty I let front desk know which was Jesse the young man who checked us in at 2 am Saturday morning. He advised remaining two nights and parking fee would be refunded without any cancellation fees ( I had booked a three night stay) and we would only be charged one night with parking fee. I went ahead and reached out to Expedia agent who ended up speaking to the same person Jesse which advised the exact same thing to Expedia agent. I checked out after the first night I couldn’t sleep all night as the smell was so strong and dirty and of course the roaches all over the room. Explained the situation to female following morning at 9am that I checked out she advised no history or notation on system and no employe named Jesse in that hotel. This was very disappointing I ended up leaving and had already booked a second reservation 15 mins into my arrival at red roof hotel, at courtyard by Marriot which guaranteed best service ever, way cheaper and EXTREMELY clean. I uploaded photos for you all to not make the same mistake we did this place (Red roof in plus) is terrible specially if your traveling with children it’s very unsanitary. As for the roaches, couldn’t capture a photo as they kept running around the room

Google
We were sadly disappointed in the hotel as a whole. We had a cockroach in our room. We did not have daily clean up service. There was no microwave or mini-fridge. The second day, we found out fresh towels had to be picked up by the guest at the front desk. We were furnished a small bar of soap for bathing and enough shampoo for one cleansing. There were two of us for three nights. Good location. Old motel. If you stay here bring your own linens and bug spray.

Seferina Limones

Google
The only positives were the distance to the River Walk and the front desk agent when we checked in. Our first room has cockroaches running everywhere, second room no roaches but it was muggy, floors had not been swept or mopped, there were shoes prints everywhere. I had to clean the floors to feel mildly comfortable to walk without shoes on. The bathtub definitely has never been scrubbed down, had to clean that as well. The elevators were hot and smelled like weed. Charging for parking in a garage that you have to enter from the exit because the gate is broken was also not what I expected. If the rooms were cheap I would’ve expected this but they were $10 less than the Hilton across the street.

Emily Carter

Google
Zero stars. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. Booked 3 rooms for a conference. There was mold on the walls, bugs in the rooms, and homeless individuals using drugs in the parking lot and halls. Our key cards constantly failed, check-in was chaotic, and my coworker was denied a new key even though she was clearly on the reservation. We checked out early due to these unsafe, filthy conditions. The front desk promised a refund, but the hotel later claimed they had no record of our checkout. I’ve called and emailed multiple times—the manager is never available, and no one responds. Even corporate customer service couldn’t get through. I am demanding a full refund! This place is disgusting, unsafe, and completely unprofessional. Avoid at all costs. Red Roof should be ashamed to have its name on this location.

Mikaela O.

Yelp
The only reason I am giving the place any stars is because it is affordable and the staff is AMAZING. However, there are fees out the wazoo, early check in, parking not to mention there aren't mini refrigerators or microwaves in the room. All of the amenities (ice machine, vending machine, microwaves, etc) are on the 1st floor only and you have to give your ID to use their luggage carriers. Cheap but not worth the money for how little there is.

Trudy A.

Yelp
The address we booked the hotel 1011 e Houston st San Antonio RW After driving 8 hours The absolute worst hotel experience we have ever experienced! From the minute we stepped in the hotel more like motel. Staff was off! lobby dirty water on floor. Elevator nasty dirty once we got to our floor we pass the ice room trash all over the floor. Only gets worse we get to the room has a horrible stench the beds weren't even made tub filthy Someone a few doors down man screaming , We left immediately and were lucky enough to get a hotel 15 minutes away NEVER USE PRICELINE AS THIS IS WERE WE BOOKED IT WE CALLED THEM RIGHT AWAY AND WERE TOLD WE WOULD GET A 15 DOLLAR VOUCHER AND TO GO BACK IN AND TALK TO THE MANAGER!

Yelp
Personal items stolen from room which included my military items and laptop. Loud open air club right caddy corner to the hotel and right across from the room I stayed in 402. I selected this hotel for the budget friendly prices and it is close to the Riverwalk but when I arrived I saw that it is located in a very sketchy area with a night club adjacent to the room I was given which was open all night til 2am doing what open air clubs do. But the front desk didn't mention this once so no one moments of sleep. Extremely loud metal plates in the street where construction is going on with people driving over it almost every 2 min or even less. No mini fridge to store food or drinks and the bathroom and sink area is extreme hostel level amenity. Staff seemed nice until I realized I was scammed. Do not stay here!

Javier C.

Yelp
We arrived to this place but it was smelly and dirty just getting to the lobby, the staff is not friendly and lack customer service skills. My wife stayed there for 7 days and they did not clean the room once or change the towels or nothing. this place is cheap but not worth it, I will rather pay 100 to 200 more and be in a decent place. Stay away from this place.
google avatar

Ramona D.

Yelp
This hotel does not meet Red Roof plus standards. I complained about my room not having hot water and the front desk clerk DAISY threatened to have the police throw me out. The ice machine does not work. The door locks jam and won't close. The only plus about this Red Roof is it was clean and had a nice pool. Lip stick on a pig!!
google avatar

Lars H.

Yelp
This place seriously needs some help. To begin with they charged $15 per night for parking even thought the parking structure was empty. The entrance doors leading from parking structure to rooms stick and you need to pull them shut. The whole place needs to be renovated and updated. They give minimal room amenities such as body wash, shampoo and conditioner, coffee pods etc. no extra towels. If you need more you have to go to front desk and request more since there doesn't appear to be room cleaning service working daily. Even though they advertise as a non smoking facility we were awakened early one morning to the stench of cigarette smoke wafting through the open cracks around our door. Either do more training for existing staff or get some better management on board with a budget for improving facilities.

Yelp
Smell like shit .... Bathroom broken ..... bed dirty.... Mattress look like 100 years old..... and more thing suck... (-10) score . 0 star.

Yelp
This place needs some repairs, remodeling & a deep cleaning!! The carpets are stained & look disgusting. My room #639 has a broken wall lamp, no shampoo or conditioner provided. The young lady offered me a cheaper room & now I know why!! This hotel is run down. My friend went to the lobby to get hot water for tea & hot coffee. She asked for cup lids which apparently, they didn't have. Heading to the 6th floor with no lids & yes she burned herself! The young chubby Hispanic female at the front desk needs some customer service etiquette training!! Completely unprofessional & extremely condescending. I'm giving one star !! The maintenance man thinks he's a rent a cop & tried to act like he was going to intervene! The female at the front desk never once apologized for any of the inconveniences we brought to her attention. As we were exiting the lobby, i said to my friend, wow she has nothing to say!! All of a sudden you hear her say "Have a nice day in a very condescending & sarcastic attitude!! I'm like excuse me however, you're a little late lady! Maintenance man thought he'd be security all of a sudden!! Hilarious, cause my friend & I would have given him a good ol' fashion tag team ass whoopin'

Yelp
The front desk woman was so kind to me. She gets a 5 star rating. But, so many things wrong. Chips on paint on the walls, holes in curtains, dirty stains on hallway carpet, old elevators with disgusting carpet, cheap towels, lumpy mattress and AC had a grinding noise all night. Felt "yucky" here and could not wait to leave. Its an inexpensive motel but we just got out of another similar motel and it was immaculate compared to this place.

Eduardo P.

Yelp
The worst hotel ever, they haver roaches everywhere, the first night just 5 minutes after entering the room 233 we found 2 roaches then I went to the reception and we have a second room 314 and we found another one dead, then I look back in the coffee section on the reception and I found one in the wall climbing, then they change us to the 6th floor and I found one in the hall and in the last night I found one more in the bathroom and another one in the TV furniture, by far my worst experience in a hotel, there is a lot of noise and the last night we didn't have our room cleaned, I have videos of that. It was a horrible experience

Yelp
Average Hotel Pros: -Front desk was nice - Parking was easy - Walking distance from Downtown - Clean room - Affordable Cons: - Hallways smelled funny - Towels smelled funny - A lot of pets were there - Sketchy area - Parking was not included in the hotel price
google avatar

Robert A.

Yelp
I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. Let's get straight to the points: Pros: - Free pets - Free coffee - Free parking - Good location Cons: - Only Employee Bathroom in Lobby - Rooms still had dirt on carpet and wood floors - Shared plunger for entire floor next to ice machine. This is absolutely a violation in all terms because it next to ice that people are consuming. I could believe it and they weren't even cleaned. The people last that used it dropped it in a plastic bag and it was still wet. Front desk told us we had to use it or use the shared employee toilet downstairs, and we could not use a different toilet in another cleaned room. The water in the bag had sh** in it. Unbelievable! If you want to fix this put a plunger in every room and don't be cheap! This is the single reason why they got a one star. I could convince myself to live with every thing in my Cons list. - To cheap to provide conditioner to guests. - Partying and drinking commenced on our floor on night two we stayed until 3:30AM in the morning. The security guard had to come up multiple times and tell the 'patrons' to quiet down and this had little effect. - Beds and pillows are ok but kind of stiff. I had a sore back after two nights at this hotel. Save yourself the money and spend a few extra hundred dollars for a better stay elsewhere. You will be glad you did because we regret we didn't do that.

leanne a.

Yelp
You might as well bring a tent and sleep under the over pass....noisy inside the building sounds like mechanical issues...traffic noise bad...bed and pillows hard...coffee is good no cream..people still use toxic coffee mate... stay here only if you can't afford something better
google avatar

Yelp
Pros-location to downtown, semi-friendly front desk staff, very friendly maintenance, fridge & micro in room, scooter rentals! Cons-everything else. We asked for a 1st floor room. We received a handicapped room. The toilet was broken and had to be fixed within minutes of our arrival. Hubby went to take a shower and there was no water pressure. So they moved us to a 3rd floor room. This room had mold on the ceiling, but they had nothing else available, so we just dealt with it. The beds were uncomfortable. Parking was a little pricy. The plugs were askew and we had issues with charging our phones. It was just a weird place and I wouldn't recommend it.
google avatar

Madeleine E.

Yelp
The room was overall okay, here are a few issues that were not ideal... -The water pressure was not the best, either really cold or super hot. -The lighting of the room was not the best, shower was very dark. -There is a bbq place across the street with live music and begins around 6pm and goes to around 2am. It is VERY loud bass music and makes it hard to sleep. The TV didn't block out any of the noise. -Area surrounding hotel was not the most comforting Some highlights of the hotel were... - The staff was friendly and helpful -Location was roughly a 5 min scooter ride to the riverwalk. Finding a scooter near the hotel was hit or miss. If you are looking for a decent priced hotel with relative close proximity to attractions in San Antonio this is your place!

Yelp
DO NOT stay here. There were roaches and we had to leave a night early. The roaches came out late at night and we couldn't sleep.
google avatar

Adalyn J.

Yelp
Horrible !!!' The front desk was just horrible . Nasty back talk & attitude, talking about guest in front of our faces! They gave me a room with people Still in it. All in all I'd never ever come back . Because of jeannie and her other nasty employee. RUDE
google avatar

Trapper S.

Yelp
You think you're getting a good deal till you start seeing all the small hidden fees that aren't ever shown when you're making your reservation. There's a $15 parking fee and a safe fee. There where cobwebs in the corners of our room, mold on the ceiling of the bathroom, we had to use the key card to close the door because the door handle was broken, the mattress was worn out, front counter staff was rude and last but not least when we were leaving there was a house cleaner on his phone and he kept dropping the F bomb as we walk by with our 4 year old. Spend the same money and go somewhere else.
google avatar

Will S.

Yelp
Very disappointed in the $15 per night parking fee. Booked online with no warning of the parking fee. Showed up and got hit with it and was unable to cancel my reservation. Like shooting fish in a barrel. Not a good way to get repeat customers. Hallways not very clean. Stains in the carpet.

Julie O.

Yelp
Check in was an experience as the lone emotes was doing doing the best that he could! When we finally made it up to our room, it smelled musty. Thankfully I diffuse oils so the smell has slightly disappeared. Unfortunately, the mattress is atrocious. Just might be better off sleeping on the floor (tho not very clean). The best part? The chicken bone and earring next to the sink!!
google avatar

JJ C.

Yelp
Lets see where to start. First off I would like to say the young man at the front desk was very helpful and not his fault in anyway. ( good job dude) I was given the wrong room when i arrived but he fixed that. Thank you The $15 dollar parking WAS NOT LISTED so that was a surprise. Shower sucked , everytime the toilets flushed the pressure dropped . Paper thin walls . I could hear the neighbors dog barking all night . Vending machines took cards only. Very humid and musty in the hallways. Also we left something behind in the room , we didn't notice until we got back home. I called and asked them about it . ( 100% sure it was on the dresser) To no surprise the item was not in the room when it was check not even 24 hours later. :( I would not stay here again and this was my first visit to S.A. Do yourself a favor and look for something far from this . The abundant crack sellers around the area should tell you a lot of what goes on around here. STILL WAITING ON MY DEPOSIT RED ROOF !!!
google avatar

Ken S.

Yelp
I have stayed here on like five different occasions and it has always been a good experience...being able to stay in a place that is clean and comfortable is always a good thing. All rooms have a mini fridge and a microwave which to me are a good necessity. Recently remodeled this place will do you good weather your just looking for a place to crash or enjoy what downtown and the river walk have to offer Step out and your walking distance to the downtown river walk area or you can just hop on the bus and let it take you to your destination...
google avatar

David D.

Yelp
Avoid this hotel! Woke up with a bed bug crawling across my bed! Obviously not well maintained!
google avatar

Yanet A.

Yelp
It claim to be smoke free but when we walked in the room it smell terrible a lot like smoke ... I have kids and didn't appreciate it . We didn't find any available rooms in the are so we had no choice but will not be going back here , plus they charge fees after fees parking was $18 and when you book there's a service fee of $25 ... rooms also need to upgrade the restroom shower didn't work properly.
google avatar

Charlee P.

Yelp
Slamming exit doors, crying babies, conversations in hallway. You can hear it all here. WIFI doesn't work.
google avatar

Jenna E.

Yelp
You can't beat the location for the price, but the customer service we got at night was awful! Very rude. The beds weren't very comfortable and pillows were very bad. It was clean.

Mildred K.

Yelp
The staff are accommodating and helpful but the hotel is not restored. The surroundings is not maintained there are some thrash in front of the hotel, the elevator floor rug is worn out looks dirty. The rugs in the hallway is not maintained appeared old and worn out. The noise of cars passing in the bridge close to the hotel is disturbing. Some Bugs in the bed linen. We were told by the staff ,They clean the room every 4 th day. But you can ask towels if you need some.
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
Comfy beds, adequate pillows, ice cold AC, exceptional water pressure in the shower, and awesome location makes this a great pick. Parking is extra, no breakfast, and the lower price attracts noisy teens, but you get what you pay for. Happy I picked this place.
google avatar

Angie M.

Yelp
One star only because no stars is not an option. To begin with the receptionists are completely incompetent and far from welcoming. Mind you we had a big party with several children but despite being patient and cutting her some slack she still managed to shock us with her rude attitude. Once we all settled in our rooms, one of the families with us went into their room to find out THE WHOLE AC UNIT WAS PULLED OUT. No- not off, not "not working" IT WAS ENTIRELY PULLED OUT. Mind you this family has a newborn and 3 other children and it was in the middle of June. The room was easily at least 100 degrees. The toilet in our room was clogged up before we even had a chance to use it, our AC never cooled the room- mind you the ac tech came and even he acknowledged the ac's were "shitty". We were given one roll of toilet paper and two adult sized towels when the room was meant for four adults- tell me how that correlates. Mind you the bridge in front of the hotel is hobo central at night. All for a whopping $214.00 including the $15 parking fee Nonetheless we will never THINK of staying at this hotel again.
google avatar

Sean T.

Yelp
Pros: friendly staff thus far... Front desk clerk was very nice and exemplified great customer svc skills.. I like the color choices and decor . Cons: Checked into my room and although the ac was running the room was a bit muggy for my taste and there is an off smell of mold... Maybe a good steam clean would be in order and a mini fridge for your drinks :( gonna hit up a brewery then maybe ill bump it up a star :)

Yelp
This place was horrible! We were not able to check in until 8 PM. The entire facility was filthy, the pool was littered with dirty towels.

Yelp
The upside of hosting the NCAA Final Four Tournament is that your city gets to call in a fleet of Brinks trucks to haul away the booty of gold and silver. The downside from a fan's perspective is that every Hotel in the area is beholden to the NCAA policies and when you try to book on the Marriott or other big name sites for this weekend, it kicks you to the NCAA site to buy a package (tickets, lodging, etc.) Somehow my buddy was able to snag us a couple of adjoining rooms for this five day event. First time staying at a Red Roof Inn, let alone a "plus". I heard the plus was for the pool. This is a great option if you're on a limited budget (we way overpaid but it was due to the event). This hotel should be between $80-$119 a night and I have no idea of what their typical pricing is but that's what it's worth. The rooms were clean and comfortable but very dated. Shower and toilet are in the same room and it's a little crowded. We had two double beds and they were suitable. No refrigerator but there was a small coffee maker. Room had an ironing board and iron, towels were clean and didn't smell like chlorine. Didn't make it out to the pool but others did and it appeared clean and well taken care of. The hotel is right next to the interstate, literally, our windows opened up to the freeway but there wasn't any noise that kept us up at night, they've done a great job of noise mitigation. Location is excellent. It's a very easy walk to either the Alamodome or the Riverwalk area. We walked it several times at night and always felt safe. It's not the Bellagio or Cosmopolitan in Vegas but for a 300 year old city like San Antonio, it's does the trick.

Yelp
Total bummer that this place gets such a bad wrap. It may not be a 5 star hotel to a lot of people but their front desk service is excellent and they were good to us during our stay considering we were not the best guests. We had an incident in our room and needed a big clean up job. We needed a full turnover and housekeeping came and took care of business. We were so impressed on how well they did it! I think they left the room in better shape than when we first arrived! The only thing I wish they had was continental breakfast. But there is a good coffee station and they are so close to everything in downtown. They have a safe parking garage to park your car. Very convenient location and close to the convention center. Thanks so much to Brittany and housekeeping. You guys seriously rock!
google avatar

Nat L.

Yelp
Very unprofessional rude front desk. To get anything that was supposed to be in the room you have to wait 1 hour. Rooms are not supplied with shampoo and soap. Bathroom and toilets are nasty. Wait for quarters to do laundry after all guests do check out. No thanks. I'll go someplace else.
google avatar

Ernesto J.

Yelp
Didn't even stay the night. We showed up for check in and waited a good while before it was our turn. There was only one other client ahead of us. Receptionist was trying to multi task 4 different issues that were happening and it just wasn't working out. He was very kind and tried to be as helpful as possible. We finally checked in, and we each took a quick 5 minute shower (tub drains extremely slow and water builds up fast by the way) since we were now very close to our dinner reservation after waiting so long to check in. We spent about 20 minutes total in our room before leaving for dinner. We were then gone for a few hours. When I returned, I was putting up the iron and there was a disturbing surprise that the previous guests had left behind. It was kind of high up and it barely caught my eye, so i can imagine the maids didn't see it, but there it was. Packed my bags and left. Please give the maids a step ladder so they can clean things a little higher up. This was a very dangerous thing to come upon.

Yelp
AVOID, bait and switch pulled at door. DOESNT MENTION PAYING FOR PARKING ANYWHERE!!! Will be reporting fraud as well. Your hotel I stayed at pulled a bait and switch which is illegal. You can correct this action or I can have lawyers reach out to your company about this, along with reporting fraud as I did NOT approve or agree to this. It was too late to cancel without being charged, there was no way to get another hotel last minute. The ONLY time they mentioned you had to pay for parking was when I checked in!! That is bullshit! I fill filing a charge back immediately and also reaching out to my lawyers to see how this will be handled. I asked for a manager and had victor the front desk kid refuse to get him because it wasn't in my name but my girlfriends when it's my money! Then after fighting back and forth with him another lady came on and I asked her to call him down and she did within a minute. When I get to speak with the manager he does NOTHING I show him the site saying NOTHING about paying for parking and he said "well all third party websites have it" I asked him to show me and he "couldn't" Asked for the area or district managers number and was given the reservation number by your manager that did nothing the first time then gave me wrong number not once but twice intentionally so I couldn't contact them corporate. Then when I called they informed me the correct number and go figure no one is there. Went to leave a message as well and go figure ITS FULL . I will put this on every review site for you as well. TERRIBLE Customer service, lazy, ignorant, employees, and SCAMMERS that break the law over stupid ass shit

Yelp
Decent hotel.... Water is cold and hot, so both work. A/C is great, room is ordinary, nothing cool. Staff is decent as well, not bad. But the lobby does have a strange smell to it, it's kinda bad. Beds are comfortable, but the walls are so thin you can hear the hallways/next door neighbors as well. Walking distance to the Riverwalk is great, took us like 10-15mins. Would only recommend if you're on a low budget, or don't really care to be at the hotel much.

Yelp
roaches roaches roaches roaches everywhere and what look like blood stained floors stained floors.Booked 4 days for band competition in November . We got in pretty late cuz we driven in from Dallas-Fort Worth and when we checked in the parking lot look really shading there was a bunch of shady people hanging around there. We checked in and got the first floor which is fine we went and got our suitcases and everything and when I opened the door to go into the room there was roaches running across the floor little ones big ones and they were everywhere it was like a bad movie. Didn't even make it into the front area of the room there was something that look like blood stains on the floor I just close the door walked back to the desk up front and ask for a refund I was willing to sleep in my car with my kids rather than stay in that roach-infested hotel. It's a shame because everything was prepaid so I had to wait to get a refund for 30 days but it was awful awful experience I would not recommend this hotel to absolutely anybody.

Yelp
The reason why I picked this hotel was because it was about a 10 minute walk from the Alamo and the Riverwalk. Also the price was reasonable. but overall I wasn't to pleased with my stay here. had to pay additional for parking, and the staff was very rude, the elevators took forever, and the room was a little small for my liking.

Yelp
Had a wonderful wonderful experience here at this hotel they have made recent upgrades to the flooring as well as all the rooms and it was just awesome. This is always our go to spot whenever went San Antonio and we were not disappointed on this outing. My wife and I made a quick day trip out here and we still had a great relaxing time. This location is the closest location to the Riverwalk that has the cheapest price but still super clean. They offer free Wi-Fi and a decent continental breakfast and mostly consisted of muffins and fruits all in all we will definitely be back we love this hotel great job red roof

Yelp
Really nice rooms for a great price. I like the fact that its in walking distance of the Riverwalk without the Riverwalk hotel prices. I wish I would have took photos, but believe me, the rooms are nice.. I have only one complaint that is I wish the curtains had a shear lining so I could open them without having everyone outside being able to see inside. But overall I would stay here again. PROs: Location, Microwave, mini-fridge, safe, Free Wi-Fi, lots of Power outlets, Food-delivery until 1am..minimum $15 order. great parking Cons: Curtains too Dark... NO Bathroom vent, gets super steamy so leave the door open..

Yelp
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HOTEL!!! the days we stayed here, they never did room service, only gave us 1 roll of toilet paper for all the days we were booked there, the carpet was not vacuumed, no trash taken out, the windows don't have a lock and they're unsafe very hazardous, the ladies in the front were hella rude and not professional, the locks from the doors don't work, they either didn't close or got stuck, NOT SATISFIED, DONT RECOMMEND TO THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE, AND ITS A COMPLETE NO ! I recommend for everyone out there to not choose this hotel and choose carefully!

Yelp
Nothing special, but it's cheap. I stay here solely because of how much I like their dog friendly policy. Not super clean, the amenities aren't remarkable, the staff is average. But if I can bring my dog, I'll gladly crash.

Yelp
The rooms were clean, mini fridge available, staff was ok. Walls appear to be made of paper as you can hear EVERYTHING going on in the halls and other rooms. The thing I hated most? They charge you 15 dollars a day to park on the premises. I checked my bank account and with taxes and all the parking charges withdrawn come up to 18.00 a day for parking. NO THANK YOU I find that very ridiculous, I booked through Hotels.com all it said was self parking available, no pricing listed, nothing that said self parking available for a charge. In their defense it DIDNT say parking is free for guests of Red Roof Inn. Id stay somewhere else with what you will end up paying.

Yelp
Worst customer service ever. We come in at 10pm tonight. We have our reservation confirm and their system have our booking, but the front desk told us that they don't have any room for us and didn't tell us what another option for us. Our family had 2 kids and 1 pregnant lady was sitting there and wait for their solution. They provided no solution, and no advise. End up we have to find another hotel around the area at midnight.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE! Place is filthy. We checked in, only to walk into a musty smelling, dirty room. We called the front desk, 10 min later they came up, apologized and said that the housekeeping did a "half ass job." Told me to follow her to another room, only to be just as disgusting. I looked at her and asked her if she would stay here, she just shrugged. Terrible. I also ignored some of the reviews when booking this hotel, only to learn the hard way. Also, not in a nice area. We switched to the Hyatt. And it was the best decision! Ever. The only thing they have cleaned or renovated is the lobby. Seriously do not stay here!

Yelp
You get what you paid for. A week before, a friend and I decided to go to San Antonio for the NBA finals game. This place was only around $80 a night on hotels.com which was very cheap for the short notice and it wasn't too far from downtown which was good for us since we wouldn't have a car. Upon checkin, we told the front desk that we were in a rush to get to the game after a long delay in our flight. Yet, he took his dandy time, answering the phone, etc. We were both placed on the 3rd floor, king beds in each room. When I walked into my room, it had a very musty smell. Reeked of wet towels. Yet, all I had time to do was quickly wash up and change. The toilet is very low, so I imagine it to be super low for tall people. After the game, I ran into another front desk person and told him about the smell in my room. He came to check and agreed the smell was quite bad and it wasn't the AC. My friend then checked the window, and it completely opened! I was surprised as I thought all hotels did not have windows that opened all the way. Anyways, he was able to change my room but the only room available for the whole weekend had 2 double beds. Figured that would be better than dealing with the wet towel smell for a long time. The only problem with the double bed room is you do not get a mini fridge or microwave. I asked for one, but the NEXT day they said the rooms do not have any and they did not have any extras. The next morning, I woke up with a huge spider bite on my arm. It actually lasted for over a week! All I wanted was a long hot shower, but when I tried the water, the water would not come out when I moved the knob to the middle. All I could get was hot scalding water or cold water. I hate cold showers but since I didn't want to burn myself, I had to make do. I later called the front desk and they said someone would come up in 15 minutes. After waiting for 30 minutes and my friends waiting, I called again. They said that the maintenance guy was out at lunch but would be up shortly. Could they not have told me that earlier? He later told me that there was a stopper in the middle, and like me, did not understand why they did that. Seriously?! No warm water! My other issue with this place is the ice machine does not work on the first or third floor. So you constantly have to go to the second floor. My tub did not come with a plastic bag so it leaked everyhwere on the dresser. Oh well. It may be for many hotels, but the cleaning staff are incredibly loud in the early morning, so I never got good sleep during my stay here. The beds were pretty comfy though, which is the one plus. The doors here do not close very well either since the lock gets in the way. They do have a grab and go breakfast near the lobby. I made it down on our last day, and they had bagels that you could toast and danishes as well. The bagels were a good start to the day, but the OJ and Cranberry juice machine was incredibly too sweet. They also had some fruit as well. Overall, again, you definitely get what you pay for, and it is in a not so great area of town. But it was a quick walk to downtown, and taxis come quickly after you call.

Yelp
The staff was nice but I did not enjoy the hotel. The TV was super small, there was no microwave in the room, the coffee pot was small, the bathroom had hard water stains. The room looked like it had not been vacuumed and there was no complementary breakfast. Also we had to pay an additional $15 dollars to park our car at the hotel per day.
