Google
On every adventure, we go to a local coffee shop and Res Rooster did not disappoint. Firstly, everything is fair trade and organic AND fantastic quality! Truly, the coffee was rich and aromatic and they have a very wide selection. One of best tasting coffee shops we’ve gone to recently for certain. Secondly, their syrup selections are all made in house and it SHOWS. My frappe had a rich and decadent flavor without all the additives in other store bought syrups. Third, they have free WiFi, their bathrooms were clean, and they have lots of places to sit. I really enjoyed my drink and would recommend them easily to anyone. Last, I did notice some complaining about the sizes, but I think that the prices are very comparable to Biggby and Starbucks (some menu items being much cheaper).

Google
This is summer favorite for us when we visit Ludington. It has a great selection with creative and delicious offerings. I love the local connections to the menu with homemade syrups and honey from the local vendors. The atmosphere is clean, trendy and so friendly. A must stop if you are in the area and need your caffeine hit!

Google
I always hunt out local coffee shops rather than buying from a chain. Red Rooster has good cold brew but I would have like to have a larger size? For what I pay, it feels like the serving is a bit small. Regardless, the atmosphere, employees, and WiFi are top notch. Today I listened to one of the baristas take the time to have a lengthy conversation with an obvious long time customer and I thought it was great! Keep up the good work!

Kotryna S.

Google
Great coffee and atmosphere! They have fresh baked bread and delicious pour over coffee. I had the whole wheat bread with cashew butter and the decaf pour over with almond milk. I was in town for Labor Day weekend and wanted to come here to get some work done and check out the place. Would definitely recommend!

Google
This was exactly what I was looking for. Visiting my old high school area and family with no internet makes getting my computer related work hard to do while visiting Ludington. I needed a place to enjoy a beverage while having space to check my computer with a strong Wi-Fi signal. Not only does Red Rooster have Wi-Fi and coffee, but every table is ready for your electronic needs. No waiting for that one table with a hidden outlet to charge your devices. This is why I came here over other local coffee shops. The coffee is also why I'll return. The two women who made my drink, Lynaea and Allison, were friendly and on top of their busy long line. They were very kind and knew their drinks when I asked questions to narrow down my choice of their seasonal options. Pictured is the winter seasonal drink: Winter Spice Chai and a Chcolate Cake Pop. I look forward to stopping by here again soon.

Google
It was our first time exploring the Manistee & Ludington areas. I searched for a local coffee shop for 2 days and nothing caught my attention until I came across Red Rooster. It was everything I was looking for. Family owned & simple yet very attractive & welcoming atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly. Syrups for lattes are house made which is something I always look for. My iced oat milk miel was made with local honey and it was delicious. I highly recommend. They also had a nice assortment of organic baked goodies including sliced sourdough with any spread you could want. We will make sure to stop here any time we are back in the area

Google
We stopped in here for a quick coffee and were impressed with the amount of space inside. It definitely seemed like a great spot to stop and have a coffee, maybe a small bite to eat with friends or to get some work done in the mornings. The coffee was good and the staff was kind and friendly.

Google
We were on a vacation when we visited and I wish we could have spent more time here. Nice and calm atmosphere and coffee was good ☕️ Friendly people. We will be back when we are in town again!

Yelp
First time in Ludington and early morning went to this coffee shop for some hot coffee. Was not disappointed! Added the lavender syrup to the latte and it was so good. The flavors were just right and not too sweet. The quiche was hot and a generous sized sliced. The service was quick and great. The place is spacious and has nice decor of surrounding sights. Would definitely come again when I visit. Had to get a hot coffee to go as well, because it was chilly outside!

Yelp
The coffee is worth the wait. On a busy day plan on waiting in line for good coffee. The coffee is hot and the atmosphere is worth the stop.

Sarah S.

Yelp
Good coffee, even better staff!! Barista Emma is wonderful!! Very kind, professional, and competent!!! Easy to see she loves her job, and it's so appreciated :) Thanks Emma!!

Yelp
If you're into toast, this is the place to visit. They have a whole menu of organic breads and spreads: different varieties of bread that you toast yourself (they have a toaster in the dining room), and spreads to choose from. My Nutella-loving kid chose sourdough and Nutella, and I snagged a bite and it was delicious. A good piece of bread can be a meal in itself, and this was a great little breakfast. The slice of bread was thick and hearty. In addition to Nutella, Red Rooster has other spreads, like house-made jams, jellies, nut butters, regular butters, honey and more. I got an Americano and a croissant, and the croissant was just OK. They warm it up for you, but it was the kind of croissant that's more chewy than flaky. The Americano was tasty, though. Sometimes, black coffee will become bitter as it gets colder, but this coffee stayed tasty from piping hot to tepid. Red Rooster was super busy when we visited on a Saturday morning. But the people who worked there were chipper (maybe too chipper for this non-morning person), and they were very quick with the orders, so we didn't have to wait long at all for our orders.

Yelp
My family and I tried out the Red Rooster Coffee today and we all loved it! We all agreed that the coffee was some of the best coffee we've ever had in Michigan. Not only was the coffee amazing, but the açaí bowls, smoothies, and baked goods were great! I would highly recommend this coffee shop if you're in the area

Yelp
Nice place for a delicious coffee combine with friendly service in a bright environment. Stop in to start your day off right.

Yelp
Phenomenol coffee.. Comes back later and lets it know it likes you... Best coffee in Ludington - easily.
google avatar

Barbara F.

Yelp
I love a coffee shop that has all the Hot, Cold and Blended options. This pleasant shop had all the options and several flavors to choose from as well as some grab and go breakfast foods.
google avatar

Amie W.

Yelp
The service was outstanding. The girl who took our order was so welcoming and friendly. The pumpkin spice latte was delicious... they make their own pumpkin spice syrup. The chai latte was quite overpowering in terms of the spicy chai flavor. I don't think we would get that one again.

Steven H.

Yelp
First customers this morning, but the regulars who came in 5 minutes later got served first. Ordered cappuccinos because we like foam and less milk. She had shown us the cups used for cappuccinos and lattes. We stressed the "less milk " and did get the smaller cups for their cappuccinos. They had almost zero foam. Flavor just ok. The apple turnover was soggy. Won't go back

Anna T.

Yelp
Service is great Easy to read menu Good selection Smoothies, drinks, coffees, cake pops, breakfest treats!

Alexis W.

Yelp
All around really good place, tasty drink and really good muffin, nice vibes. Nice service
google avatar

Dominique I.

Yelp
Very cute, friendly service great place to grab a coffee especially since there aren't too Many coffee shops in pudding tin, I had the iced vanilla latte. Despite them being a bit slower and somewhat understaffed it was worth the couple extra minutes
google avatar

Virginia L.

Yelp
Love this local coffee shop and its industrial-like interior. Stopped by here 2 years ago and it was still just as amazing/delicious.

Lex L.

Yelp
Awesome first experience at Rooster coffee! I tried the iced lavender white chocolate coffee & was so nervous about how sweet it was going to be....it ended up being one of the most delicious coffees I've had! The lavender and chocolate were subtle, a supporting role to the coffee, barely any sweetness. 10/10 would get again
google avatar

Yelp
I went here 3 times while in Ludington for 3 days... the staff were super friendly, the coffee good, and parking wasn't a problem. It can get a little busy during the rush, and there aren't really enough employees moving things along. But worth the experience to use this place as your local coffee spot!
google avatar

Yelp
I was wanting to try a new coffee place in Ludington, as I travel here several times per month for my holistic doctor. I initially tried Riverflats, as I always pass it on my drive in... however, I was turned away from coming inside and told I could only use the drive-thru. I really wanted to come in and read my book with my coffee, so I continued my drive into town. I found Red Rooster Coffee (which is actually just across the street from my doc!) and I'm so happy I did! It was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I was able to come inside, get comfy in a cozy chair, read and enjoy not only a DELICIOUS cinnamon latte, but also oatmeal loaded with my choice of toppings... so good! They also have many other house-made latte flavors that I fully intend on trying more of. Thank you, Red Rooster, for opening your doors, serving up great coffee and providing a comfortable place for all of us to chill, work, socialize, etc. I'll surely be back soon.

Yelp
Great beverages & totally yummy snacks. Love this place!!! So friendly too!
google avatar

Yelp
Great coffee and great people! The ginger molasses cookie is a must try and the smoothies are good too.
google avatar

Paula K.

Yelp
Great nitro and poppy seed muffin. Enjoyed my conversation about Ludington with the barista, didn't catch his name...I will definitely visit again!
google avatar

Nick S.

Yelp
Great coffee and atmosphere. I will come here again! I had the cold brew and it was very smooth and delicious.
google avatar

Meg S.

Yelp
Love their nitro and blueberry lemonade. Stopped to play board games on a rainy day and it did not disappoint with a cozy vibe.
google avatar

Diana R.

Yelp
The staff was so nice! Not only was the coffee refreshing, the conversation with staff was as well. All of their syrups are made in house. I had the cinnamon dulce iced latte, and I was impressed. It's not icky sweet, but still full of flavor. Would recommend!
google avatar

Deanna R.

Yelp
We are here for a long weekend and I went to get coffee at Bigby. the Line had probably 20 cars in it , no way, so I googled coffee near me and found this place, Red Rooster Coffee. What a hidden gem for Ludington! I will definitely be going back there again and I would highly recommend this place. Super friendly staff and their coffee is very good.
google avatar

Kirsten K.

Yelp
Coffee was excellent! Ludington despite being a hot spot for vacationers does not have a thriving "cafe scene"-- therefore red rooster is the perfect option for someone who wants more than a diner cup of coffee. We were so thankful to find them!! Fresh baked treats are on hand too-- the scones are delicious! They're taking covid procedures very seriously which I appreciated too.
google avatar

Alexander B.

Yelp
First time there and not disappointed: Good coffee and friendly service. Must be the best coffee shop in the area!
google avatar

Susan A.

Yelp
Red Rooster Coffee is a charming coffee shop that is all it should be and more! They have delicious coffee, immaculately clean, pleasing decor, and friendly staff that seems to be passionate and knowledgeable about their product. Our barista was helpful and friendly, and seemed to genuinely want to please her customers.

Jim R.

Yelp
Such a great and reliable independent coffee shop. Sometimes I just want a quick coffee, so I'll go elsewhere.
google avatar

Sydney E.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, tasty coffee! Best pumpkin spice latte I have had- not too sweet but still pumpkin flavoring.
google avatar

Kevin W.

Yelp
Have had the opportunity to stop in here three times and it's always pleasant. This place gives you a home town feel with what seems to be everyone knowing each other and yet still very nice to "newbies". Great coffee and perfect relaxing ambience. There is plenty of room to relax at a traditional table or "high top" and all are outfitted with outlets to charge your devices. Can't wait until we move here next year to get my next cup! Definitely recommend!!!
google avatar

Jeffrey C.

Yelp
This place has Great coffee drinks and friendly staff. The layout has larger tables that are well spread out and lower but decent lighting provides a very comfortable space to sit and enjoy coffee and company.
google avatar

Ryan K.

Yelp
New to Ludington on James Street. Most sophisticated coffee house. Clean lines, modern, friendly young staff. Well kept bathrooms, board games, water for customers. Lots of people working on WiFi. Will visit again.
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
This is a perfect place to stop and have a cup of coffee early in the morning. Wife and I are on a road trip and stopped in this morning. The two ladies working the counter appear to be the owners. They are invested heavily into customer service. Something that shouts. "We own this place". Immaculate. Spacious. Modern yet comfy and delicious. Ample free Parking on the both sides of the street Great business hours AND THEIR BUTTER IS SOFT AND NOT HARD LIKE A BRICK Will return for sure later in the summer

Kaitlyn P.

Yelp
Enjoyed this! Was a poppin place. Got a regular coffee and it was well priced. They also have seasonal specials I want to try if ever going back.

Ross D.

Yelp
Very friendly staff and great pour-over coffee! Hope they will add more sugar free syrups in the future but that's a minor quibble. This is a great spot to have quality coffee, do some remote work, or just visit with friends. I'll be back on future visits to Ludington!
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
Been traveling the Midwest this summer. Every afternoon we have coffee at a local shop. Red Rooster has the best cappuccino yet. Also the bread was excellent. We'll be back next time in Ludington.
google avatar

Wally W.

Yelp
The menu is fantastic. There are some tasty, organic treats if one desires a bit of chew with a bit of joe. But the coffee selection from drip to pour over is excellent. Most importantly: the staff is fantastic. The staff cares and is approachable. They are true ambassadors of Ludington, specifically, and small business, in general.
google avatar

Matthew K.

Yelp
"As good as it gets!" is an understatement. Up front, I'll give my only "criticism" -- as the day wears on and it gets darker outside, the lighting inside should tune it down. It's glaringly bright if you walk in after sunset. The owners are phenomenal, not just in pulling a shot or pouring a pour-over. They are just extremely nice and hospitable. I love that the ordering station is in the back of the store -- you're not immediately forced into a pressured situation of ordering immediately, you can take in your surroundings and approach at will. Sounds stupid, but it adds to the calming atmosphere of this place. The tables and chairs are comfortable. And most importantly, the coffee is outstanding. I tried an espresso and a pour-over. My wife had the cherry scone. Everything was very fairly priced, especially given the area, and I would order everything again. In fact, this is the one shop I'm most excited about coming back to in Ludington, and it just recently opened! Great job, guys. Can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
My husband and I love finding new coffee places on our adventures and the Red Rooster was a great find! We are looking forward to going again on our next trip to Ludingtin and the owners were so much fun to talk to! Great coffee and a great place to stop by and hang out for a bit.
google avatar

Nancy P.

Yelp
The first question I asked when I went into this endearing establishment on James Street is if they always have coffee or if they run out sometimes. For those of you who have been around Ludington for a while you know why I had to ask the question. The proprietors looked at me knowingly and with a broad smile and said yes. (They knew why I asked, too.) Now that I know Ludington has a coffee shop that predictably sells coffee I could move on to my next action. What kind of coffee do i order? My husband was more adventurous than I so he had the cold brew nitro coffee. He said it was terrific. I stuck with an Americano for two reasons. The first being I had to know if they've got the basics (they do) and the second is it's hot. I'm not a cold coffee fan. Good news for RR I'm not a cold coffee critic either. Fast, friendly, clean, delicious, warm, inviting, a big home run. So, cock-a-doodle-DO go to Red Rooster Coffee.
google avatar

Crystal P.

Yelp
So excited to see this place open on James street (and just in time for our visit this Labor Day weekend!). Feels like a little coffee shop you'd find in a Chicago neighborhood. My chai tea latte (with almond milk!) was excellent, spicy, gingery, all the best things a chai should be. My husband's dark roast was so good yesterday, today when we came back he ordered a full French press of the same (which btw, is SO good, I asked for an empty mug so I could have some too, which I ordinarily wouldn't drink). The environment is inviting and the service was very friendly. I recommend 10 out of 10!
google avatar

Donna C.

Yelp
Thrilled to discover Red Rooster Coffee in downtown Ludington, MI. Enjoyed a perfectly hot, flavorful Americano. I heard their Chai is the best. Spiced. Hands. Down!

Ben S.

Yelp
Off brand Starbucks. . . . . More details added. Ok so I have to add more stuff so heres a sentence explaining that I have to add more stuff in-order to post this message.

Deb B.

Yelp
We stopped here on our way through Ludington. The women behind the counter were friendly and helpful. My husband had a hot caramel latte, which he really liked. I originally wanted a cold brew, but they were out, so I had a nitro with flavored syrup. It was very good. We both got another coffee to go when we left. Oh, we also shared a really yummy ginger molasses cookie, We definitely recommend Red Rooster when you are in the area!
google avatar

Alan H.

Yelp
what an amazing coffee shop. such a kind and caring owner with his family we talked with who really shows his passion for community and slowing life down. from a self proclaimed coffee snob, they have an EXCELLENT espresso pull and pour over selection. the design of the interior is very modern and beautiful as well. I wish this place all the success it deserves!
google avatar

Grace L.

Yelp
What a cute little find on James Street! We came in very early on Memorial Day and got a small americano to go. It was wonderful coffee and the barista was so friendly even at 7:30 am! Love this place and definitely coming back to try some of the baked goods that the shop sources from a local baker!
google avatar

Jacqueline S.

Yelp
Nice environment . The people that work there are nice. Pricing is great for fair trade / organic .
google avatar

Cici S.

Yelp
Very urban and hip interior. Incredibly friendly service. Brewed coffee was good, not the best I've had. They offer some breakfast food items and it's a cute space to hang out in.

David E.

Yelp
Tasty Grilled Cheese and Soup. Very friendly and safe place. Even for a little web surfing and work. A little hard to see the place from outside.
