This was a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. I ordered a quinoa bowl with chicken, and it contained a substantial amount of quinoa, which I found difficult to finish. The salmon was delicious, and the truffle fries were my favorite part of the meal. It was a charming restaurant with a lovely view of the ski slopes.

Bottom line, for breakfast there is no better venue or value on the mountain! At the base, with a view of the slopes—excellent atmosphere with great ski sounds in the background. We went for breakfast and Red Tail definitely earned 5 stars. The food was excellent, not only for the mountain but anywhere. Proper sausage, thick bacon, real eggs and fantastic breakfast tacos. Service was friendly and expeditious. Just try it.

Service was extremely slow at lunch time on a ski day. It took 45 minutes to get food once the order was placed which consisted of salad and soup. The soup tasted like it came right out of a can and was very salty. The salad was mediocre. The cost was way too high and the quality was quite low. This is inexcusable. It is probably the worst restaurant on the mountain. Go somewhere else.

$120 for a burger and one meal. Very expensive ,but expected. Problems began when we wanted to break up the check (couldn’t do that). So we broke it down and each paid our share. we had mountain money (food vouchers) that were denied. On our way out others in our group said they excepted their vouchers. Manager didn’t know what was happening in her restaurant and server did not know how to break down the check for the table. Took over 45 minutes with them charging our cards twice to finally work it out. Not very professional. Manager (Laurie) Server (Nina)

Since it is located right next to the ski slopes, the Red Tail Grill Restaurant offers a fascinating dining experience. Whether you choose to dine indoors, with a view of the skiers gliding down the slopes, or prefer the sun-kissed patio while sipping a glass of wine, the ambiance was undeniably delightful.. Our lunch at the Red Tail Grill left us with mixed impressions. The hamburger was flavorful, hitting the right notes. However, the menu lacks diversity, which did not allow us to choose different foods.. What stood out most were the waitstaff—their discontent was palpable. Unhappy waiters can always mar any dining experience. Unfortunately, this was also evident when we went to the restaurant. We experienced much more delay in service, especially during the lunch rush when skiers filled the restaurant.. Comparing the Red Tail Grill to its neighboring establishments, The Farm Restaurant and the Drafts Burger Bar (DBB), reveals differences. Both the Farm and DBB were much better in terms of service and culinary offerings. In contrast, the Red Grill, though pleasant, falls short.. Apart from these two, as being another neighboring establishment, Edge Steak Restaurant is already an upscale fine-dining restaurant, and it is not even possible to compare it—not only with this restaurant but with any other restaurant in the province.. In summary, while the Red Grill Restaurant provides a scenic setting, it struggles to match the variety of food and service quality found elsewhere. For discerning diners seeking better service and a diverse menu for lunch, exploring the Farm or DBB might be a more rewarding choice..

Mediocre food combined with inattentive servers made for less than ideal experience. We were seated by a young man who was more interested in his phone than seating us at a table. We sat down and 10 minutes later A server came to our table to ask us if we would like something to drink. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio and my friend asked for water. ~10 minutes later, the server came back And brought water. After a total of 25 minutes at the restaurant we were asked for our food order which we placed. I asked about my wine order and she said she would return with it. A few minutes later, she had not returned, so I went to the bar to ask if I could order a glass of wine. The bartender said because I had placed an order with our server that she could not help me with getting it even though I explained that our server and not Brought it out after a significant amount of time. While I was at the bar, I looked over to see many of the servers huddled in the prep area on their phones. I had ordered a southwestern salad and my friend ordered a salad with salmon on it. They were both bland and the ingredients seemed old, which was odd for a restaurant that was crowded. As I finished up my salad the wine came out, but we needed to get back on the slopes so I asked the server to please return it because we were going to leave. Our server responded indifferently The whole experience was poor, and staff were completely unapologetic regarding our experience. If you’re going to pay a good money for slopeside food, the food should be decent and staff competent. We will not return. And if you are reading this review, please read the other reviews which have similar Experiences.

Great place to go and stay off the mountain at the bottom of the lifts. Go after 130.

Only reason I'm not giving a one star was the ambiance was great and waiter was nice. That being said the food sucked. My wife's chicken was under cooked. My salmon was dry and they served it without any of the seasoning and sauce. When I complained they brought it out on the side for me to spread. It felt like they were rushing to get the food out that they lowered the standards.
