It's such a fun restaurant! The restaurant was able to accommodate our party of 10 quickly and efficiently. Although it was a sunny day, the servers moved the shades around to ensure we were all protected from the sun. The food was all tasty and fresh. The only complaint I had was that there was construction all around the area, so it was a bit noisy. However, it wasn't the restaurant's fault, and they tried to make us as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend the burger and fries...delicious!!

Red Tail Grill at the Grand Summit Hotel delivers an exceptional dining experience, seamlessly balancing efficiency with warm hospitality despite its bustling atmosphere. The service was nothing short of outstanding—attentive, accommodating, and executed with a level of professionalism that enhanced the overall experience. For my meal, I chose the bison tacos accompanied by coleslaw, a combination that proved to be both satisfying and expertly crafted. The bison was tender and flavorful, complemented by the crisp, well-seasoned coleslaw that added the perfect balance of texture and zest. To accompany my meal, I opted for a rum and coke, which was expertly mixed, smooth, and refreshingly robust. Despite the high volume of patrons, the staff never faltered in their commitment to excellence, ensuring that each guest felt valued and attended to. Their attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction were truly commendable. The atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, making for an enjoyable dining experience. Red Tail Grill exemplifies what a refined yet approachable dining establishment should be. The combination of remarkable service, well-executed cuisine, and an inviting ambiance ensures that I will most certainly return.

Google
This was a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. I ordered a quinoa bowl with chicken, and it contained a substantial amount of quinoa, which I found difficult to finish. The salmon was delicious, and the truffle fries were my favorite part of the meal. It was a charming restaurant with a lovely view of the ski slopes.

Rocky Road Outfitters

Google
We are giving them 5 stars because the location was great, the setting, sitting out on the patio. Really nice evening there. One head's up, their menu is pretty limited. Only a few items available and definitely not a full dinner menu. But if you're into appetizer style dinner options, like we are, then its a win!

Since it is located right next to the ski slopes, the Red Tail Grill Restaurant offers a fascinating dining experience. Whether you choose to dine indoors, with a view of the skiers gliding down the slopes, or prefer the sun-kissed patio while sipping a glass of wine, the ambiance was undeniably delightful.. Our lunch at the Red Tail Grill left us with mixed impressions. The hamburger was flavorful, hitting the right notes. However, the menu lacks diversity, which did not allow us to choose different foods.. What stood out most were the waitstaff—their discontent was palpable. Unhappy waiters can always mar any dining experience. Unfortunately, this was also evident when we went to the restaurant. We experienced much more delay in service, especially during the lunch rush when skiers filled the restaurant.. Comparing the Red Tail Grill to its neighboring establishments, The Farm Restaurant and the Drafts Burger Bar (DBB), reveals differences. Both the Farm and DBB were much better in terms of service and culinary offerings. In contrast, the Red Grill, though pleasant, falls short.. Apart from these two, as being another neighboring establishment, Edge Steak Restaurant is already an upscale fine-dining restaurant, and it is not even possible to compare it—not only with this restaurant but with any other restaurant in the province.. In summary, while the Red Grill Restaurant provides a scenic setting, it struggles to match the variety of food and service quality found elsewhere. For discerning diners seeking better service and a diverse menu for lunch, exploring the Farm or DBB might be a more rewarding choice..

The Blond Hooker beer was amazing and so was our burger. Unfortunately, the server forgot to put in the order and we waited approximately 45- 55 minutes for our burger. The place was practically empty. We asked for one serving and she brought 2. Took it back with an attitude. At least she took the burger off the check. I’d give it another try but I’d make sure I don’t get her again.

Google
Food was tasty, however very expensive for the food we ordered. I'm not sure I should have expected anything different given the ticket prices. Fire places were available, but the ice had not been cleared off the nearby seating.

Google
Location is excellent. But we were told it's 45 minutes for a table outside when there were 4 to 6 empty tables. We had to see the host, give our number and he would text when table is ready. I think its not business smart when there are so many open tables and you refuse to sit people down. That's losing money in my opinion. And the same was on the inside. Empty tables and they won't sit us because of the waiting list. We waiting 20 mins and then went to another restaurant. Can't comment on the food or service. We didn't get a chance to eat there.

Yelp
Amazing nachos, great vibes for after skiing a long day! Service was okay, but the food made up for it.

Yelp
The food was pretty terrible and the service is mid. We ordered a medium steak but it came out practically mooing and the chili rubbed chicken wings are also kinda mid. So yeah I wouldn't come here to spend $42 for 2 little filets of meat. At a 10k hotel I would expect better quality food at a restaurant. The waiters were pretty nice though. By: 10 year old

Yelp
Fried polenta was good. Need more mushrooms. Fried chicken sandwich was so dry and bland I asked for some melted butter and hot sauce and to no avail. They only carry chula hot sauce and didn't have melted butter. No hot honey either. I just couldn't eat it. It was so dry. The fries were cold upon arrival to table. You can tell the fries are not fresh and just been sitting there Returned the plate. The kale salad was nothing special. . Salmon was also dry. Wait staff was busy. Not worth the money they charge.

Yelp
Conveniently located in the Canyons at the Grand Summit Hotel, we had breakfast there three days in a row. We tried the Huevos Rancheros, Steel Cut Oatmeal with cranberries, brown sugar and candied pecans. Everything was great which is why we had breakfast there every day. I'm a big fan of Huevos Rancheros and every restaurant that has them on the menu has their own twist. I would rank their version at the very top. Their version featured two eggs smothered in cheese on top of refried beans and a crispy corn tostada, served with potatoes and slices of avocado. It is that perfect breakfast place you always hope to find when you travel. The awesome service takes it up another notch as both waitresses were true pros who kept your coffee hot and anticipated every need. They just took good care of everything. The place sits right in front of the gondola and the orange bubble chair lift. It is very comfortable, has great views of the mountains and is the perfect way to warm up for a day on the slopes.

Yelp
While staying in Canyons Village, we decided to have lunch here. We've been once years ago because of its convenient location and didn't recall disliking the place, so why not go back again. We were seated 5 minutes after arriving. The place isn't too big and the seating is a bit squished together, but luckily the place wasn't full so we got a booth. Since we had our toddler with us, we asked for a booster chair and were so glad that they actually had them! Our server was Brooke and she was very nice and pretty attentive for majority of our meal. It did get a little busy towards the end, so did take a few minutes to get our bill. Everyone was very friendly that we encountered. We order the chicken tenders and fries for the toddler. It was a really big portion for a 2 yr old but perfect for an older kid. Toddler had 1 1/2 strips and majority of the fries and I had 2 strips. We still left one untouched. They weren't thick, dry or heavily breaded and had pretty good taste to them. The hubster ordered the wings appetizer as his meal with a side order of fries. We soon realized we could have all shared my side fries and the toddlers. It was a nice portion. The wings were 8 pieces and husband seemed to have enjoyed them. They had a dry rub, but came with a side of sauce and a good portion of veggies. I ordered the carnita tacos and they were great. Would have been amazing with a little more of the cilantro cream sauce because they were a little too dry but the carnitas tasted amazing. My toddler pretty much 1/2 of the carnitas from my 3rd taco. They are decent sized in flour tortillas so 2 was enough for me, especially with the side of fries. All in all, we had good tasting food, service was great, and I'm sure we'll be back next time we're in Park City.

Yelp
Red Tail Grill was the first restaurant we went to as soon as we arrived. Simple American food. My friend and I shared the Steak Sandwich and Spicy Chicken Sandwich. The Chicken Sandwich was so good, I really did not want to share it after taking a bite. I usually like steak more than chicken, but I definitely recommend the chicken over the steak at Red Tail Grill. Crispy, Crunchy, and flavorful! Other things to know: Convenient location by the Gondolas. Friendly attentive server! Choice of house water, distilled water, sparkling water!

Yelp
Good God Vail, are you trying to persuade us to quit buying Epic passes? The food here is not bad, and most of the employees are helpful and friendly. But the place is consistently and severely UNDERSTAFFED, turning what should be a wonderful time into a miserable experience for customers and employees. Vail Corp = Greed.

Yelp
Good food, great apres ski place at the canyons. We tried many different things on the menu but the fried chicken sandwich...is the absolutely the best one to try if you are in the mood!

Yelp
This place was good. We enjoyed it two morning of our stay. I got the steel cut oats & the avocado toast. The avocado toast was much more filling for a day on the slopes. Loved the crispy potatoes. The berry bowl was large & delicious. I was very pleased. Husband got the French toast the first day which was a bad choice, he was hungry earlier than me by far. The second day he got the Denver omelette which held him over much better. The menu is basic, nothing special or over the top. Just some needed staples. The first day our server was great she was on top of it. Made small talk. Seemed to enjoy her job & was happy to be there. The second day not so much. It was a job, she was hard to find & I don't think she smiled once. She took our order, brought it food & that was it. Guess not much more is required, but it's nice to have.

Yelp
Hard to write this as I mourn the demise of a once-favorite lunch stop while skiing, but that restaurant, with friendly, timely service, and quality food at a reasonable (for mountain dining) price is no more. The outdoor seating is nice but the food is just mediocre. What really stood out, though, was a near-complete absence of service. We had to ask: to put in our food order; to get the cocktail that we'd ordered when the beer had long-since arrived; for utensils/napkins; three (3!) times to get dressing for a salad; and for the check. And since I do not drop a bad review without speaking first to the manager, I asked the host to send them to our table, and they never showed. This place will probably survive due to location and a dearth of nearby options, but it won't be for the food or service. Or from any business from us in the future.

Steven S.

Yelp
Service was extremely slow at lunch time on a ski day. It took 45 minutes to get food once the order was placed which consisted of salad and soup. The soup tasted like it came right out of a can and was very salty. The salad was mediocre. The cost was way too high and the quality was quite low. This is inexcusable. It is probably the worst restaurant on the mountain. Go somewhere else.

Yelp
Their burger is amazing!!!! Flavor is great and love that it's two patty's. Nachos are really good for appetizer. They also have a great chili. Caesar salad was delicious. Staff is so nice!

Thomas Morrell ..

Yelp
All around a bad experience The wait was a joke as tables were open Bartender not pleasant Service is slow and never came Back to see if we wanted another drink Food was not good

Yelp
Wandered in since it was the last option in the village walk. I requested to be sat outside, and the server allowed me to pick my seat. unfortunately, I selected a seat next to two girls at first and then the group grew into seven girls. They were talking so much and so loud I couldn't enjoy the view lol but that had nothing to do with the quality of the restaurant. I'm gluten free so I ordered a kale salad with salmon. Came out fast. Nothing spectacular, but overall the food, the service, and the ambiance were good.

Patricia R.

Yelp
Delicious food with a great view. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. I got the burger which was melty with cheese and delicious. My husband got the rosemary chicken and he said it was so delicious. Our waitress was super attentive and nice. The food is a little expensive but tastes so good it was worth it. Drinks were average but still good. Overall it was a great evening.

Yelp
This place is so much fun! We sat in the bar area and there was such a good group of people coming and going. We had drinks and appetizers, all delicious. The staff was amazing. Maz was our waitress and she was great. There was another gentleman who was super helpful! Will be back!!
google avatar

Rob S.

Yelp
The food is delicious. The team working there are friendly and responsive. If you don't like eating here, you're doing something wrong. Chris, behind the bar, will make sure you like your drink.

Nic M.

Yelp
I do not like posting negative reviews as I definitely do not want in anyway to hurt the staff, but this was really terrible. I have no idea how you can mess up artichoke and spinach dip but this is the worst I've ever had. The salad sounded great, but it was wilted some of the pieces slightly rotten. I asked for the salmon medium, but it was well done. The aoli with the peppers was very bland. The drink that was recommended was so watery although another was fabulous. The wait staff was also lovely. The only redeeming quality was the brownie dessert, which was good. I would definitely not go back, which is sad as I live very close by.

Yelp
Solid spot on the mountain for some food. Service was friendly and accommodated us with a 30 minute wait in the early afternoon. They had indoor and outdoor seating. 1. Spicy chicken sandwich - Comes grilled and not breaded like Chik-fil-A. Good portion and hit the spot. Comes with a bunch of jalapenos as well to give it a kick. Overall, great spot to come to for food on the mountain during lunchtime or whenever they're open.
google avatar

Bob F.

Yelp
Food really good. I had Caesar salad with hummus appetizer and grilled halibut. All cooked very well. I've eaten here many times but food and service tonight was best ever. Highly recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
Convenient location. The restaurant is connected to the Grand Summit Hotel. There was a 20 minute wait to be seated. The nachos were pretty good and very cheesy. We also got some chili and a quinoa bowl. Average/good food. Decent service. Pricey, but that is expected since it is the first restaurant at the base of the mountain.

Kathy C.

Yelp
So many rules---you can sit here, but it's a 40 minute wait. Those tables are open, but you can't see t there. Makes no sense. You guys suck!
google avatar

Whit W.

Yelp
Terrible service. We did not stay. Out of salmon and burgers. Waited 20 minutes to add name to list. Waited 15 min for waitress to appear. Stay away.
google avatar

Bertrand W D.

Yelp
Poorly managed. Empty tables and they won't seat. Message for the owner you should check your business you're losing money. Good luck.
google avatar

Lucy M.

Yelp
Excellent! Surprised by a few reviews on here that were low but I'm thinking they must be very old because this place rocks! Food is outstanding. Service is great too! Everything on or near the resort is going to be a bit more money but this place excels! We're huge fans and ate there twice on this trip it was so good.
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
Nothing super special here, it's what you would expect at a ski in/ski out restaurant right across from the gondola. Since this is technically not on the mountain, you don't get 20% off with your Epic Pass just an FYI. You also can't pay with your Epic Pass so make sure you bring a credit card or cash! Their spiked hot chocolate really hit the spot. The fish and chips was mediocre, nothing really special but we were crunched for time and this was the most convenient option. Super friendly and helpful staff here! You're probably better off packing a lunch if you're trying to save some $, but this place will do if you're in a pinch
google avatar

Joe T.

Yelp
Menu changed and it is very small. Really dissatisfied with the food. My wife got the special of the day. Chicken soup. Tasted like it was out of a can
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
That was a positive experience. Stopped in for lunch around 11:30 on a Sunday and was surprised how empty and easy it was to get seated. That changed quickly as the place was virtually full 30 mins later. For drinks we started with hot cocoa ($5) and Wasatch IPA ($8). My son ordered the Pork and Mac ($19) and said it was decent. I ordered the Superfood Salad ($16) with Chicken ($6). The salad was fantastic but the chicken was on the dry side. Service was great This was our second time visiting and it's been solid both times.

Jamie L.

Yelp
Michael V should not work in hospitality. He had a negative attitude and unfriendly demeanor that temporarily sucked the joy out of my day. Everyone else seemed like good people on previous visits but Michael V is the worst.

Rachelle R.

Yelp
Nice view of Canyons with average food. Nothing bad but nothing spectacular. Good news is decently priced.

Robert B.

Yelp
Worst Cuban sandwich I've ever had. It's a joke that they even call it a Cuban. The bread was not pressed or crispy at all. That's kinda the whole point of a Cuban. It also tasted like they put type of BBQ sauce on the pork, definitely not what you expect for a Cuban. The service and fries were decent....

Robby M.

Yelp
Food was good and service was exceptional. Great spot for food and watching the snow plows
google avatar

Michael F.

Yelp
I would like to tell you about the food - but the hostess was so rude - our party of three at 4:30pm on a Tuesday afternoon- went elsewhere.
google avatar

John P.

Yelp
Good staff and good food. The spinach dip came out nice and hot followed by the other courses nice and hot. I had the cheeseburger made of ground ribeye. They grilled it to a perfect medium. They have a large outdoor seating area. This restaurant is connected to a hotel but feels like a standalone place. Top marks for sure.

Jeff A.

Yelp
Awful service. The waitress was quick to take my drink order, then said someone else will bring us ice water and buss the table. We'll, that didn't happen, I'm still waiting 20 mins. Food randomly showed up, cold nachos with cheese wiz. Beer was cold, but still, my waitress has not appeared. I guess once she places the order, she thinks her tip is set. There's a winnebago next door that serves beer and is MUCH more consumer friendly. This was definitely a one and done, go elsewhere if you value your vacation time.
google avatar

Karina U.

Yelp
No clue what's up with the bad rating here. Service was friendly, decor was lodge-y, they had hard cider, and the roasted beet salad was seriously delicious!!! I highly recommend it and it doesn't even need protein because it really stands on its own and tastes super fresh.
google avatar

Dat D.

Yelp
Wow! I had great hope with recent changes. Still disappointed. I feel bad for the staff that has to adhere to not so welcoming "restaurant" polices. By the way, I've been at the premises several times, yet no patio service!!! Too bad, I wish it's my first choice, not welcoming.
google avatar

Sarah W.

Yelp
Overpriced food with bad service. The way the servers looked at us because we had ski gear on (um hello you work on the base of a mountain?) was very noticeable. I watched as the servers took care of literally everyone around us, whom some sat after us, before coming over to greet us. Mind you this is a small dinning area and she went to the tables on both of my sides and waited to come to us for at least 10 more min. I was a server before and I know you can get busy, but I also know some servers don't want tables and will ignore them in hopes they leave. I could tell when we asked to sit inside instead of the patio they were annoyed. I listened on as the server flirted with older men at the table next to me in hopes of high tips from them and was amused when she didn't even remember to put in our whole order - 2 soups, a salad, and a side of fries lol. Park City is great, but maybe get some better seasonal employees.

Nikkie I.

Yelp
Great place! Great food and ambiance, really enjoyed the espresso martini and halibut! The steak was amazing! Kids also enjoyed it very much!

Jon A.

Yelp
Disappointing, over priced breakfast with poor service. Very limited menu, yet server still managed to mess up our order. Food quality was similar to what I would expect at an airport restaurant. Server disappeared for long stretches. She didn't offer to refill any water, juice, or coffee. Waited 20 minutes for her to bring the bill and return my credit card despite the restaurant being practically empty. If anyone is on the fence I would recommend going somewhere else.
google avatar

Charles C.

Yelp
I thought service at the base would be better than on the mountain and this is an epic failure of service Food is actually passable and reasonably tasty, expect resort level pricing and on the mountain quality. Why Park City resorts can't be like deer valley is beyond me,same cost yet quality and service is terrible Kids meal is a good deal at 10 bucks but expect 6 year old portions, other stuff passable taste and quantity. Servers for the most part are foreigners with little incentive beyond getting fired to provide better service. Deer Valley got a culture and service down, this place is last resort eating, don't expect a quick meal we waited and waited and waited and waited and waited

Kayla N.

Yelp
You know what, I usually do not do this but sometimes people just need to warned of rude terrible service!! If I could give this place a negative 1 star I would! I waited over 20 mins for a server on the patio. We where told twice someone would be right out. Then I waited at the bar for 20 mins to tel me she couldn't serve me because I wasn't sitting at the bar. Then I asked to talk to a manager , and the lady told me "I don't want to serve someone like you" wow! I was so patient and nice and that's how you get treated? Definitely glad I didn't spend my money there!
google avatar

Phil H.

Yelp
It is nothing more than what you would expect from a resort bar. Employees don't want to be there but still want you to tip 30% for their not existent service. if you put your name it on the wait list follow up every 10 minutes. If you don'y follow up you will never be texted again that your table is ready. some how you fall off the list unless you bug them every 10 minutes.
google avatar

Ian P.

Yelp
A few friends and I stopped in after a morning on the slopes. I had the garlic hummus with some great roasted garlic and then the chili with a side garden salad. The garden salad was fine but not remarkable. The chili had little flavor... and was somewhat surprised as it's typically a mountain staple. It was heavy on the beans, light on the beef, and had too many thick pieces of pepper. It was also a little short on the spices and felt lackluster. Would recommend for ambiance but would skip the chili.
google avatar

Kendall C.

Yelp
We are here in the summer so it's much easier to get good service . I had the chicken wings and Avocado dip and the wings were so good and dip . All the food that came out looked really good too. I can't stand when people give bad reviews for price ,so tacky . If you can't afford stuff then don't eat there , go get McDonalds . Great views from Restaurant.
google avatar

Grace W.

Yelp
Quick bite by the Orange Bubble Express chairlift at base of Canyons Village. Food was so-so. The burger was okay but the chili rubbed wings were dry.

Madie G.

Yelp
Wow is this place awesome! Stopped here after being on the mountain and I have nothing but good things to say. I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup and my boyfriend had the quinoa bowl, needless to say, we're obsessed. Also, the staff was extremely friendly! I added the menus below so you all could see! Forgot to take photos of the food ‍

Heather F.

Yelp
Excellent experience here. We were staying close by in a ski trip and needed a spot for a big breakfast. This was the perfect option. The staff is fantastic. Quick to refill our coffee and help us with anything we needed. The breakfast offering was buffet with fresh fruit, eggs, pastries, waffles, oatmeal, and more. Price was reasonable as well. Enough food to keep us satisfied until dinner time, even through a full day of skiing. Would definitely recommend for breakfast!

Yelp
Visited red tail grill at 2pm after skiing given it was one of the few places in Canyons village that offered a full menu during that time. It worked out well for me given I was looking for a light and healthy lunch. I went first with the vegetable soup in a cup. It was pretty standard. I was happy that they had superfood salad which had as its base Kale and some other healthy ingredients such as quinoa, blueberry and almonds. I added salmon for $8 to my salad. Again the place is good for a healthy light lunch but is a bit pricey which is expected given the location. Here are my ratings: Vegetable soup: 7/10 Superfood salad with salmon: 8/10
