The property is old but not that bad, the rooms however are DISGUSTINGLY HORRIBLE. The ancient pictures they have up here from decades ago make it look way better than what you get. I got a double room, and it was literally just a room with two wooden framed single beds nothing else, no night stands nothing. The mattresses were horrible, thin, cheap, the sheets and towels also felt extremely old. The bathroom was okay but also extremely basic and smelled and could see black mold around. I was staying here just for one night thankfully and leaving early in the morning so it worked for me but this is definitely not the kind of hotel where you can enjoy your stay or the amenities, you would really only want to stay here one night if you had to and nothing else was available. Honestly I think staying in my car would have been better but it was my first night and I'd never been here. You can probably find someplace better than this and it's definitely worth paying a bit more for a real hotel room, the rooms here are more like staying in a public shelter or jail cell.

Didn’t really expect a luxury stay due to the cheap price. Good things: The hotel I located in a good area with nice beaches, restaurants and nightlife. The air conditioning in the room works just fine and is pretty silent. The beds are fine as well, even though the sheets feel a little old. Bad things: The breakfast buffet is nothing I can recommend. The juice tastes like it’s half water half juice. The toaster is cracked (can’t cost much to replace it with a new one). Could be nice with some different fruit during the week. The hotel is overall poorly maintained. Our bathroom had spots of mould and was always smelly and moist. The rooms are definitely not soundproofed. Not a place I’m coming back to or can recommend

The pictures do not represent the rooms properly. The rooms are not the cleanest and the walls are dirty. The hotel is in a good location. Towels are only taken every two days. The rooftop pool is really nice.

Gets 2 stars be it's in a good location. My and wife and I stayed 2 days here for the quarterfinal match. We got the last room in the hotel after our original plan fell through. I was fine paying the price and am not holding it against them in this review. The service was poor. It seemed like our room had not been serviced. The AC remote was missing, that took a while for the chamber maid to retrieve. I asked for a safe to put valuables in. That took over 20 min to get the safe and bring it to the room, which I had to go down to the front desk so they took of it quicker. I understand things are at relaxed pace in Brazil, especially Bahia, and they were at full capacity but these two things took way too long. Upon we returning for our second night stay, it didn't appear the room was cleaned. The beds were made but obvious trash (there wasn't a trash bin) wasn't removed. This is on top of the fact that the shower had not been cleaned before the room was given to us. Overall it worked in a pinch. The sheets were clean and there was AC. The area is fun as it has the praca near by to get acaraje and restaurants. The hotel is far enough way that you don't hear the noise, at least we didn't. But the beach across the street is dirty. I would not stay here again unless I had no other affordable options in Rio Vermelho.

Crappy small rooms, extremely slow Wi-Fi, mattress very soft, springs poked into my back, the bed sheets were stained with blood, had to call front desk to have them changed. The room window opened to the side wall of the next-door building. |The toilet got clogged at first use and we were moved to another room.|Terrible hotel, won't be coming back ever.|

It's a good place to stay just to sleep ! |- take your hairdryer, because they just have in a luxury rooms;|- if you don't speak English, you gonna be some troubles, ththe girls in the reception doesn't speak English;|- the breakfast it's so poor, I have found better in a hostel that I have been;|I like just the price, special for a World Cup time, it was the cheapest that I could find in Ssa.

I booked this hotel for Quarter Final World Cup time and prices were extortionate but I could not find anywhere at that time that did not have prices at least 3 times the normal level for the time of year.||||At a sensible price this hotel is adequate but for £90 (over US$150) for a twin room per night it was very bad value.||||The room was basic, shower had plenty of hot water but how glass door did not smash as it slammed against the stone wall each time I got in and out I am not sure. Breakfast was plentiful but not of great variety or quality.||||The location was Rio Vermelho, a suburb of Salvador about 35 minutes by bus from Praca da Se and Pelourinho. There are some restaurants nearby but you have to walk along a dirty road and avoid being hit by the traffic which does not seem to respect lights nor speed limits.||||Having said this, the hotel staff was helpful and friendly but I would not consider this hotel again.||||Despite police presence in Salvador centre we met three people who were mugged in broad daylight, at least one at knife point. We consider ourselves lucky to have escaped unscathed.||||I have been to Salvador 4 or 5 times and cannot imagine going back there any time soon.

Worst hotel I ever been. Broken shower. Not clean. Horrible. Expensive
