⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ABSOLUTELY AMAZING STAY! WOW! What an incredible experience at the Redmont Hotel! Manager Sonya Williams is a total GEM! 💎 She made check-in smooth and genuinely enjoyable with her warm, kind hospitality. Dinner at Harvest Restaurant & Bar was SPECTACULAR! 🍽️ Chef Chris absolutely NAILED my salmon - cooked to perfection! Chef’s kiss 👌 Already planning my next visit! 🎉 This historic hotel delivers exceptional service, incredible food, and that special something that makes a stay truly memorable. Can’t wait to be back! Highly recommend! 🙌

A very cool and historic building. That’s where the lore ends. The service at the desk was disengaged and unexciting. Parking is non-existent and they only offer valet at nearly $40. They park your car in a near by parking garage. You can park there yourself for only $9 overnight and it is a very short walk to the hotel. The room was clean and the bathroom was fantastic. The AC in the room never got below 77 degrees in the room though. I do enjoy a hotel that refuses to put a floor 13 on the elevator. Just a fun piece of hotel lore that lives on. Would not stay here again. Dining options in the area are few and far between.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|I had such an incredible experience checking in at The Kelly Birmingham! From the moment I walked through the doors, I was met with warmth and professionalism.||Val at the front desk was absolutely amazing—welcoming, friendly, and so helpful in making my check-in smooth and stress-free. Her energy truly set the tone for the rest of my stay.||Terry at the valet desk was just as fantastic. Not only was he prompt and professional, but he also made me feel like a valued guest every time I came or went from the hotel. His positive attitude and attention to detail really stood out.||The hotel itself is stunning and stylish, with an upscale vibe and modern decor that made my stay feel special. From the bold design to the excellent customer service, everything was top-tier.||I’ll absolutely be staying here again on my next trip to Birmingham. Thank you to the team—especially Val and Terry—for making my stay unforgettable!

My wife, sister, and I stayed at the Redmont on our way to Florida. One night no complaints. Service is excellent. Breakfast was delicious. Best hotel breakfast I have had in a LONG time. The hotel is a vintage one so a little quirky but we like that.

I was winding down a solo vacation in Alabama in May 2025 and spent a Sunday night at the Redmont Hotel. I had chosen this hotel due to its location in downtown Birmingham and also because the reviews on TripAdvisor were quite good. Plus, I had never stayed at a Curio Collection hotel before, so I figured it would be worth a try.||I arrived mid afternoon on the Sunday of my stay. The check-in process went okay, but there were a lot of people milling around the lobby who were not guests of the hotel (because there was a rooftop party taking place that afternoon). My room (#1108) was clean and comfortable. It had nice views of the city, and the bathroom in particular was really nice.||One thing I did appreciate was the bar downstairs. I was able to enjoy a couple of cocktails on Sunday night.||The one thing that was annoying about the hotel was the Wi-Fi situation. I was trying to access the Wi-Fi on my laptop in my 11th-floor room, but unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was not working at all there. In order for me to use the Wi-Fi, I had to be sitting downstairs in the lobby which was annoying. Also, the elevators were tiny and it appeared that only one of them was working.||I can't speak to the breakfast at the hotel because I ended up eating elsewhere for that. But one thing that I liked was that I was able to squeak by without having to pay for overnight parking downtown. The hotel offers valet parking for an expensive rate, but I ended up leaving my rental car parked on the street overnight without having to pay anything.||All in all, this hotel was decent except for the Wi-Fi issue. I appreciated the downtown location, and the historic building was neat. However, I can't say I'd ever have any desire to stay again.

We only stayed one night, but it was fantastic. We got a free upgrade to a king suite for being Diamond members. We chose to stay here because It was close to the Amphitheater theater and lyrics theater which was only a 10 minute walk away from the hotel. The Harvest restaurant was really good, and all of the staff we encountered were outstanding. Although they were facing an extremely difficult situation with getting us keys to for our room, Ms. Tonya & Ms. Von from the front desk were so Kind and was able to escort us to our room along with many other concert goers. The only hiccup in our stay was the AC did not drop below 76 degrees throughout our entire stay. :/ Other than that; This is the place to stay when visiting Birmingham. We'll definitely be back.

Google
This hotel is in a great location, however that is the only good thing I can say about this stay. It is old and misty place built on 1925 and smells like it too. You have to pay $21 per day to park, the rug in the room has many stories to tell since it has been here since 1925 as well. We told the front desk at 11:30 a.m. that we needed someone to come unplug the sink because from the door it was plugged up. Also, fill the pretend amenities like body wash etc in the shower must have been intended as props because they were all empty. And asked for house keeping to clean the room. 6 hrs later when we came back guess what NOTHING had changed. Went back to the desk requested the same thing. Got back to the room and realized someone did unclog the sink but that is it. The front desk then said the person for house keeping is gone for the day but they can give us some towels. Now I wonder would I have been told if I wouldn't have called down there. If you don't care where you spend your hard earned dollars stay here. But if you do DON'T STAY HERE! POOR SERVICE, NO APOLOGIES, NASTY ROOM.

This is a historic hotel with all the charm you can imagine! Great location with easy access to bars and restaurants. You can get an uber within minutes if you need to. Close to the airport too! Service was great in the restaurant and bar. Baron is so knowledgable and makes a great espresso martini. Our waiter was also very knowledgeable about the menu and the surrounding area. Try the glazed brussel sprouts, you will not be disappointed! They have their own coffee shop which serves coffee from a company called Rooted Grounds, which is a craft company. Try the Highlander Grogg!! All in all my two night stay was quiet and peacefull, filled with good food and drink. Tonya and Hassaan (the assistant general manager and the manager of the hotel) were so kind and warm and inviting. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
This is a cute boutique hotel! The bathroom is very spacious. If you are a bath taker, this isn't your vibe. It's valet parking only at $38 for each night. There is a public parking lot across the street but it costs as well. It's conveniently located near the downtown and UAB area so there are plenty of restaurant choices and night life options. However, this place has its own rooftop bar and it's pretty cute. It gives a nice view of the downtown area. One thing that we don't like is that there are no smart TVs in the room, so you are left scrolling channels. We were here for one night and enjoyed it and would define stay again.

Yelp
I'm giving these stars for the staff as everyone was super friendly but it is ABSOLUTELY TIME FOR A ROOM REMODEL. I stayed here for a few nights and my only enjoyment was the staff and bar. The room is extremely dated and was not clean. There were stains on the sheets so I had to have them come and change as I didn't feel like changing rooms and honestly I'd rather watch you change my sheets. There were stains on the furniture and floor and a chunk of hair in the corner. I actually woke up one night to a bug on the ceiling smh. And let's not forget about the extremely loud elevator that sounds like a train passing through your room that you can hear through the vents. It's a NO for me ‍

Yelp
On behalf of Cadence bank- Wow. What an amazing place to stay- we had a business function with people coming in from all parts of the country. I wanted to start off with the TOP NOTCH valet and front door staff. Kevin Ludke runs a a tight ship! Christopher McCoy, Lester Russell, Cole, and Sam West opened the doors for us - helped us with our luggage- and were great hearted people to talk to!! Also, every morning Kenyada had a fresh pot of coffee ready for us - asking about our day. Her smile lights up the room!!!! In addition Shvronna, Nia, and Tyra were the absolute sweetest and most accommodating people! Our bank is beyond impressed! You can really feel that they are family- the hotel is elegant - the food was amazing, and the rooftop area really allowed us to connect with our teams. The bartender was the nicest person as well. We look forward to staying again. All of those reading reviews- believe me when I say- your stay WILL be amazing. Thank you to Eric Pollard for running this hotel with grace so we could do businesses professionally and also have a great time and the end of the day!

Yelp
Room was dirty and cramped. Asked to switch rooms and ended up being charged for both rooms. Spent months trying to figure out why or get a response from the front desk but no answer. Hilton was unhelpful and told me to contact Redmont staff - not possible

Yelp
April 2014, While visiting Birmingham Alabama we stopped by and checked out the Redmont Hotel. In December 1952, Hank Williams stayed here the night before he died in back seat if his Baby Blue Cadillac in Oak Hill, WV. He stayed on the second floor. This is the oldest still operating Hotel in the State of Alabama. I visited Birmingham with my hubby and daughter on one of our trips from Nashville.

Yelp
This very old hotel-somewhat recently renovated but still with lots of old world charm is a nice option in Birmingham. I had some issues with parking, the self serve lot of like a block away and it was never clear if using the city lot across the street was a better option but they really push the valet option. The rooms were clean and our bathroom had a nice walk in shower. the roof bar was a big disappointment but the view was nice, it seemed like an after thought.

Yelp
****BED BUGS**** Some friends and myself stayed here and I CAN HONESTLY SAY I WILL NOT RETURN. We found bed bugs crawling on the bed and in our stuff because we had left our bags open. We called the front desk and the host, Anthony never came up. He sent the security guard to bring us new room keys. Which was still unacceptable. Older building, older hotel, it has a smell and THEY HAVE BED BUGS
google avatar

Yelp
The room was beautiful, minus not having a refrigerator. The property is elegant and the bartending staff was fantastic. The valet, on the other hand, was an entirely different experience. When I arrived, the valet (and the sign posted in the lobby) explicitly stated that valet services began at 6:30 AM. Here it is, 7:07 AM. I requested my vehicle 37 minutes ago and the valets still haven't even arrived to work. Great hotel, mostly. Don't use the valet to park your vehicle.

Yelp
I had a stop in Birmingham and stayed at the Redmont downtown. Overall, this was a decent stay. The hotel is dated as others reviewers noted, but key areas were updated - bathroom in my room was modern and the bed seemed pretty new. Carpets in the hallway need love and the elevators make you a little nervous, but my room was clean, quiet, and stocked with what I needed. Location for me was perfect. I took a shower for just a couple minutes and my bathroom floor flooded. There is a glass partition, but maybe not sealed at the bottom. I let the front desk know and they were also very nice. I had breakfast in the Harvest restaurant and the greeter/server was incredibly nice and quickly brought me all I ordered. The Redmont breakfast was very good and hotel food is often average at best. The only thing that really annoyed me was the $30 valet parking. Valets were very nice and quick, but that amount is ridiculous. I got in late (9pm) and don't know the area well, so felt 'stuck'. TBH that fee will have me search out alternate parking options prior or try another hotel during my next planned visits. Management please consider $10 or $15 parking - why annoy your guests and push them to consider options? Your rooftop bar crowd parks on the street and that should be your target valet customer.

Yelp
I have stayed at this place in the past and it was exceptional. Tonight I had to call and cancel an upcoming reservation due to change in plans, and I was greeted with exceptional customer service once again. NiA answered the call and was helpful, patient, and cheerful! When I'm back in Birmingham. Definitely staying here again.

Yelp
The Harvest Restaurant and Bar are run by a fantastic staff and chef. We had dinner and breakfast and loved every bit! Flavor profiles were amazing and there was something for every dietary or textural preference on the menu. Delightfully seasoned and restrained balance are employed in every dish. This place is such a gem! Thanks to the chef and excellent staff for a respite and amazing meal to set our long trip up for success!

Yelp
First off I wanna say how it speaks volumes to meet someone who loves their job and talks about it outside of work. KAY WHITE!! This is the gal who goes above and beyond. She told me about the roof top and made me feel at home and comfortable to be new to the city. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. You all are so lucky to have an employee like Kay White.

Yelp
I stayed here four nights for a business trip and probably wouldn't stay here again. I'll give the good, the bad and the ugly... The Good - Rooms were modern and nice. People that worked at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Quirky old hotel with a lot of modern touches. Nice rooftop views. The Bad - Very noisy. It's in a Downtown location and the midnight train (and 1AM and 2AM trains) every night woke me up. Noisy and frequent police and fire activity. Also, every night I would hear what sounded like a luggage cart rolling over tile floor. I couldn't figure out what it was. I confirmed with my coworkers that they had the same experiences. The Ugly - I had to get to the airport early Friday morning. Because of the constant train activity, I woke up at 2AM and decided to take a shower. While showering, and unwanted visitor stopped by the bathroom sink. He was none too happy I was showering that early in the morning. Probably about an inch long with giant antennae. I told Anthony, at the front desk, and he said "Oh, that's not good. I'll let maintenance know." Doesn't help me too much. Overall, I might consider another stay, but I'd look for a different place if it's your first time.

Tim B.

Yelp
The hotel is almost 100 years old. The rooms are okay but you can hear people clearly out in the hall. The restaurant service was okay at best. Nice enough staff but the coffee was cold, the eggs were supposed to be over easy and came out scrambled. The Chief was a little over whelmed.
google avatar

Nikole M.

Yelp
I would give this hotel 3.5 stars. The rooms are clean and the service was great. The hotel was built in 1925 and you can definitely tell in the hallways, elevators and in the rooms. It's definitely a historical building with a fun rooftop bar and a good location in the Northside of downtown. It is walking distance from great restaurants and bars as well as the Alabama theatre. You are given a 12-15$ voucher for breakfast to use in the café that's included in the room. Breakfast was great actually. It had a variety of options. For valet be prepared to pay 30$ each day. We were able to park in the lot In front of the hotel since the app wasn't working and there was not an attendant.

Corey B.

Yelp
I would like to give this 5 stars, but can't. Unfortunately, the reasons lie outside the bounds of the hotel. First, it is not in a good neighborhood - not terrible, but not good. There are aggressive homeless nearby the entrance who panhandle, and some of them are mentally unstable - yelling at unseen demons. This is an issue sometimes when entering or leaving the hotel. As well, in the early morning hours when you are trying to sleep, you can hear them hollaring between 3:00am and sunrise. As well, there are loud trucks making huge booming noises at those hours. Lastly, throughout the night, you can hear train horns due to nearby train tracks. I was on the 7th floor (13 total). For me, a fundamental necessary condition for a good hotel is to allow its guests to be able to sleep, and it fails in this regard. The hotel itself and the staff are nice, but when you can't get a good night's sleep - well, forget it.

Yelp
I liked it so much the first time, I went back during the same week. This time it was on a Wednesday night. There were several couples inside. The inside space is very small, so they had two heated plastic pods set up outside. It was cold outside but nice and cozy in the pod. There was a portable heater that could be adjusted. The bartenders were nice. Another great experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Great downtown historic hotel. It's been beautifully renovated. Very nice staff and comfortable rooms. There's plenty of street parking, but they did have a super hero valet guy named David. I literally saw him run a full sprint to retrieve a car . Also, they have 2 bars. One in the lobby and one on the rooftop. I became friendly with a really good bartender named Mathen. Sadly, it does not have a pool or hot tub. I love a hot tub or even a hot bath after I'm done working and the rooms only have stand up showers. However, the showers are awesome. They are spacious and well designed. They have an access hole to reach the shower knob without getting wet before you get in. Enjoy your stay!
google avatar

Whitney S.

Yelp
I stayed here while I was in town for a wedding. Beautiful hotel with great customer service. You can definitely tell it is a historic/older hotel as the elevators and hallways are pretty small. Our room was pretty spacious and the beds were really comfortable. There is even a rooftop bar! Would stay here again.
google avatar

Yelp
Look no further as you have found a great hotel. I really enjoy the Hilton Cairo Collection of hotels and this location sets the standard. My room was 1409, a corner room with windows on two walls. The bathroom was clean and updated with a very large shower. The bed was comfortable and not a sound from outside. The rooftop bar has a nice view of the city along with a view of the sunset. I enjoyed several of the local beers from the larger that normal selection. All of the staff were outstanding. The breakfast buffet was better than most oHilton's offerings at other locations. Service was very good. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

Gabby G.

Yelp
The staff was very nice and helpful. Me and my boyfriend came for our anniversary and they hooked us right up with a room after a horrible inconvenience with another hotel. It was a little pricey to stay here considering the room was small and didn't have a fridge for drinks..but the ambiance and location make up for it.
google avatar

Kevin K.

Yelp
Came here for a business trip. This place does not have a self parking lot, but they do have valet parking. Check in was smooth. Went up to my room. The hallways was small, you can tell this is an old building. Got into my room, oh wow the room is small. But the room is very clean. Not sure did the housekeeping change or replace any of the body wash gel, shampoo, lotion when they clean the room. But the body wash that's in my room was a used one. Even tho the room was small, but the bed is very comfortable. I did had a great night of sleep.

Yelp
This charming boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Birmingham doesn't offer much in the way of amenities, but its unbeatable location and fabulous rooftop bar make it a wonderful home base for anyone visiting this terrific city. My standard room was well-equipped with everything I needed during my stay, including a Keurig coffeemaker and great selection of K-cups. The oversized bathroom was luxurious, with a rain shower head and a huge vanity. And if you don't want to valet, convenient overnight parking is available in a number of adjacent surface lots. The historic hotel has a small bar and coffeeshop just off the lobby, as well as a fitness center that I didn't get around to using. But the Redmont's best feature is its fabulous rooftop terrace, which serves up great cocktails and amazing views of the city skyline. The terrace is open to anyone, but definitely take advantage of it if you're staying here. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Birmingham.

Brett S.

Yelp
Overall, not a bad experience, but not great either. Rooms are good sized. Bed was slightly firmer than I prefer, but not bad. Front desk staff were great. Our biggest issue was service from the restaurant and valet. Make sure to give yourself ample time if you are planning to get breakfast. Valet was unbelievably slow! It took 30 minutes to get our vehicle! Valet didn't seem to be concerned at all that they had multiple people waiting, ultimately staff from the hotel had to come help get cars. If I could give 3.5 stars I would.
google avatar

Stan D.

Yelp
Was disappointed this this hotel. Rooms are very small and the A/C isn't very strong. The morning we checked out service was very slow. I didn't think it was any better than a Hampton Inn.
google avatar

Gabriella M.

Yelp
Not impressed with this place one bit. We booked online and upon arrival they gave my husband the wrong room (2 single beds instead of 1 king) and would not move him because they had no more king rooms... I arrived two days later and they finally moved us to a king suite. The suite shares a wall with the elevator and the banging and creaking noises are loud and non-stop. I'm thankful that the staff was accommodating and moved us again (downgrade), but got us a king bed with no credit or refund offered. Overall, this was a pretty poor experience.
google avatar

India S.

Yelp
Hello. I was not impressed with this hotel at all. The pictures on your website have been glossed up to make the hotel appear more modern. But it felt more outdated and still under construction and dull. It reminded me of an old dorm building in college. Also, throughout the night and early morning the doors on my floor continued to be opened and slammed shut... consistently as of someone was doing this on purpose. And at 8 AM, 9 AM, and 10 AM, housekeeping knocked on my door to come and clean my room....which is absurd and quite frankly rude. I mentioned this to the manager and all I received was "We have a wedding party and we will let staff know not to do that next time". Although, the staff was apologetic I was not pleased.

Mary T.

Yelp
We were only in town for one quick night and the Redmont was great. Clean and a smallish but decent sized room and completely updated bathroom. The bartender was completely swamped and frankly overwhelmed at times and I'm not sure why the server that was helping some couldn't step in more to help her. We'd stay again!
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
Loved the historic look and feel of this hotel!! We came in on a Friday and it was busy with people enjoying their nights out on the rooftop and at the bar. The rooms were a little smaller than imagined and darker than the photos listed. The bed sank a bit when sat on and the walls were thin, so we could hear the elevator going up and down most of the night. Overall, we really enjoyed the atmosphere and felt comfortable, but be aware of the noises of a busy night.
google avatar

Hadley B.

Yelp
My husband and I were unable to take showers in the morning as the entire hotel had absolutely no hot water. We were told that it was a problem with the boiler while other guests were told that "a dance team used up all the hot water." I don't know if that means dancers take exceptionally long, scalding showers or if they went rogue and were incorporating buckets of hot water into a new dance routine. This happened BOTH mornings (!!!). As compensation we were rationed a single square of chocolate to split between us. I wonder if the recent renovations have made the plumbing wonky; our sink would not properly drain either, and looking through other Yelp reviews it seems like this is not the first time this hotel has run out of hot water or has had other plumbing issues. For those unfortunate enough to book a room here before checking Yelp: You can use the in-room Keurig to heat a small paper cup of water to give yourself the world's saddest spongebath and find solace in the fact that since the ENTIRE hotel has no hot water, those around you will be just as smelly and disheveled. I would highly suggest booking a room elsewhere---unless you have an "in" with the dance team! Two stars. (For the valet guys, who were great!)

Yelp
The hotel is beautiful and has a old school feeling to it. However, what makes the Redmont shine is the staff. From the Valet to the front desk to the bar, every person Beams with kindness and hospitality. I love the Redmont for that. Plus the roof top bar is pretty spectacular and the views of Birmingham are some of the best in the city.
google avatar

Roxanne S.

Yelp
I love what they have done to the place. Completely renovated with lots of seating and beautiful decor. On the penthouse floor (PH) there's a huge bar outside for everyone to enjoy with two tvs, water feature outside, and a pretty wall with greenery from head to toe....oh and the view of course :) the staff was very friendly and attentive. They had a few beers and speciality drinks on their menu to choose from. I drank the Athena and it was quite tasty with a pretty pink color. The lobby was exquisite. I just wanted to sit on their furniture all day if I could because it was so pretty and comfortable. On Sundays they have bottomless mimosas and it's pretty quiet on those days. Sunset was something I was looking forward to today and I got a great view of it up there. I can't wait for them to get some heaters up on the roof so I can stay outside longer and soak in the view.
google avatar

Lucy T.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel from the inside and out. The doormen dress the part, and the lobby is just so fancy. The rooftop bar is what I always hear people talk about going to. My friend Alex, a fellow Yelp elite, and I did a photo shoot up here and the pictures were amazing. I loved the flower wall and the fire pits are perfect for lounging since it's no longer freezing cold. Can't wait to come back here and enjoy this place to its fullest.

Anita B.

Yelp
We got there around 10 o'clock at night they were very accommodating to us. Manager Lou was very helpful and got us checked in quickly . The bartender was very good and helped us get a pizza. we sat at the bar and had a few drinks while waiting. The valet guy, Sam helped us with parking truck and trailer. I would recommend this hotel if you're anywhere in the Birmingham area looking for a place to stay
google avatar

Amanda D.

Yelp
I would love to give this hotel a 5 star review for their amazing customer service. The southern hospitality is wonderful here! Everyone is attentive and polite. However, the rooms leave more to be desired. My room had bulbs burnt out and it was very worn looking. I was also a little disappointed that the tv didn't have movies to rent like most Hilton hotels. The hotel only has two elevators and one was broken the entire time and the other did not function well. It was say a floor that it was stopping on but it wouldn't be the correct floor. We ended up getting off on the random floors it would stop at and just walking to the 10th floor that we week staying in. Overall it's still a nice hotel, just not perfect.
google avatar

Rachal J.

Yelp
Loving the keyless entry, which meant we didn't have to check in. Definitely upgrade to the suite while these lower covid prices last. Unfortunately, they weren't able to offer us breakfast room service on a Friday morning (only stayed that one night). This was disappointing because I've had their breakfast room service before and it just REALLY tops off the perfect visit. Regardless, 5s because they are fantastic every time I stay!
google avatar

Jared R.

Yelp
Rating a 2/5, staying 150+ nights a year in Hilton hotels I'm very familiar with the quality standard of Hilton properties. The hospitality was fantastic but the room was very dated and the rooftop bar was expensive for the quality of the drinks.
google avatar

Shekira W.

Yelp
The hotel is very outdated and not as it appears in pictures. The furniture in the room had visible stains. Also there was construction that started at 6 am on the street next to the building so don't plan on sleeping in at all.
google avatar

Jamie M.

Yelp
I recently visited the Redmont a party. The newly renovated space is to nice! The party was moved from the rooftop to the inside do to the weather! We were still able to got on the rooftop and is the upstairs bar. The view from the stop was beautiful even with the ugly weather! The bartenders were very nice! It's a place that I will definitely be going back to.

Yelp
Beautiful place with rude staff upstairs. The valet on the other hand was very nice and helpful this evening.

Yelp
Solid hotel with great location downtown. Staff is friendly. MJ takes care of you at the Valet. Nice lobby with large bar. Also has a rooftop bar that overlooks the city. Rooms are spacious and updated but main bones of the hotel is old. Breakfast the following AM was on point and service was good throughout. Would recommend to those traveling to Birmingham.

Yelp
I spent a night in a double room with a friend at the Redmont for a girl's night out over Mother's Day weekend. Check in was at 3pm and we arrived very shortly after that. Valet up front was very polite, check in was easy, and our room was ready. I unfortunately did not capture any pictures of the room, but it was very nice and clean. The bathroom was very nice with a rain shower head and a large ledge to hold bathtub products. The vanity/sink area was the only area with a mirror and it was quite small, making it difficult for 2 ladies to get ready at the same time, but we made due. We ate dinner close by, calling down to valet to have our car ready when we were downstairs. Everyone was very polite. The rooftop bar was closed off on the exterior deck as it was raining, but there was an area inside where the bartenders were hanging out. Our drinks back at the hotel were awesome and they let us bring our last glass of wine to the room. I'm only giving 4 stars because of what happened the next morning. We admittedly did not fill out the breakfast form the night before, but when we woke up the next morning, all we wanted was a carafe of black coffee. I called at 8am to make the request and at 9am, we still did not have coffee. I called the front desk again and they told me they would check on it. Twenty minutes after that, we finally had coffee in our room, with the attendant delivering the coffee admitting it was never put into the system when I first called. There was also another miscommunication with the front desk when I had requested to have our car ready from valet at 11am so we could make brunch reservations, and the valet admitted that they were not told that and apologized profusely. All in all, our stay was very nice and I would definitely go back. All the staff we communicated with were pleasant and accommodating. I do think there could be some work with the front desk facilitating messages, but while it's enough to write about, it was not enough to sour the experience. Highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Birmingham!

Yelp
My room was purchased for me through booking.com. The day before I arrived at the hotel I called to make sure that everything was in order for my arrival and to request an early check in. The hotel didn't have a reservation for me, even though I had a confirmation number, and told me to call booking.com. Being an experienced traveler I thought this was very inhospitable and rude to ask me to call booking.com. Once I contacted booking.com they told me they would contact the hotel. Eventually the hotel told me that they had a room for me and would give me a suite and an early check in for my troubles. I arrived at the hotel and was told that they didn't have a room for me. I waited four hours in the lobby to check in. The lobby was freezing cold as there wasn't a fireplace and people were constantly coming in and out. Before I was told to check in I watched the attendant in the lobby give a room to someone who had just showed up. When I questioned her about it she told me the room was a double and if they gave me a double someone would be without one (even though they could just give someone two rooms that were next to each other but not connected by a door). The room was clean. However the toilet was unusually large and had two buttons on the back of it in order to flush it. After the first use the toilet would no longer flush. I don't recommend staying at The Redmont. For the money there are other nicer places around town.

Yelp
Quaint, Curio property in the Hilton lineup of hotels. Parking is convenient. I have always gotten a spacious room so no complaints there. At checkout on my initial stay, I didn't use my breakfast voucher for the buffet but made it downstairs around 11:30 and thought I might use it at the coffee shop, which I was told was also an option, to pick up snacks for the plane. Unfortunately I was not allowed to use it because I did not use it by 11:00am. I guess I understand it but not really. When I travel for business I have many calls in the morning and am not always down for breakfast. When I travel for leisure, sometimes I'm not out of bed for breakfast. Seems odd that if you provide a voucher that can be used for snacks, that you would designate the hours it can be used but oh well...

Yelp
When I checked in to this hotel and then got to my room this review would be 5 stars. Then I ordered food and went up to the rooftop lounge. This is where the it all became a disappointment! I sat down with my food and immediately began to smell disgusting cigarette stench. Two idiots at the bar smoking in a 100% smoke free property. It took three attempts to get the staff to finally tell them to stop. My meal was ruined and my clothes stunk. I short time later I was forced to leave before I wanted by another set of animals smoking which the staff did nothing about.

Yelp
We were at The Roof, not the hotel proper. Nice rooftop view. Semi panoramic. You can walk about halfway around the roof perimeter. There were fireworks at Regions Field tonight which added to the view. However, the rooftop atmosphere is better at the Elyton Hotel (Moonshine) because they have the cool stonework. The music is better here at The Roof. So pick one - they're both fun. Bring lots of cash.

Yelp
Rooms are a little dated (only reason it's not 5 stars), but not too much. The staff was excellent. I had a few drinks on the rooftop bar, and it was perfect. Wait staff was 8 stars. Drinks were 8 stars. I'll be back!

Yelp
We stayed here over the weekend and enjoyed our visit. The front desk staff was very friendly and made checking in quick and easy. The special gift for Gold members needs a little work as it was only a tiny bag of pretzels and 10% off the hotel restaurant. It was a nice gesture just didn't make us feel very "special" for being loyal members. The rooms were spacious and clean plus the bathrooms were a good size. It would have been nice to have a little more space around the sink but it all worked out fine. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the weekend "noise" wasn't too much of a bother. This hotel was very cozy and made for a great stay during our trip.

Yelp
If you choose to stay at the Redmont Hotel in Birmingham, prepare yourself for one of the worst weekends of your life. Not only was there no water pressure in the sink in our room, not only were the items we requested such as a pack-n-play and fridge not in our room, but our car and 8 others entrusted to the valet service parking cars RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET were all vandalized. The windows on my car and the 8 others were smashed. One of the other victims asked the front desk how often this occurs and was told it was monthly. No apology from the hotel, no compensation offered at all. If you're traveling to Birmingham, find a better and safer location to stay than the Redmont!
