Such a missed opportunity. If this campground was well run/staffed would easily be 4-5 stars. Spent 5 days here during a family reunion. Cabins weren’t nearly as clean as they should have been. Thick coat of dust and spider webs under all the beds. Dog hair all over the blanket in one of the cabins (which makes you worry about the cleanliness of other linens). Pool was dirty and hot tub filthy, water completely the wrong color. Lots of long term residents which leads to a very different vibe vs families camping for the weekend. Homeless people doing their laundry in the bathrooms at 3am. Sprinklers started in an area and then forgotten about by staff for 24 hours, flooding the grass and surrounding area. Worst of all, the communal bathrooms weren’t cleaned THE ENTIRE TIME WE WERE THERE!!! At one point 2/3 toilets in the men’s were clogged/destroyed and ignored for days. My brother plunged them and we told the office staff about the issues, they ignored this. Several days later they still hadn’t cleaned or restocked. Out of paper towels for 4/5 days. The entire family cringed every time they had to use the bathroom. Felt dirtier after showers than before. Busy campground bathrooms like this should be cleaned daily. Payed extra for tables, chairs and a grill to use for our gathering. All of this was very dirty as well. The bright sides? Laundry room was decent and kids enjoyed the playground. Won’t stay here again, and can’t recommend it to anyone else.

I have stayed at this campground three times in the past 13 months: once in a rustic cabin, once in a vehicle site, once in a tent site. The campground is cute, clean, in a great location for access to nearby towns, and the campers follow the quiet time policy well. Prices seem fair considering the overall pleasantness of the campground. The one complaint I have is that the women's bathroom was out of hand soap in one dispenser, and the other dispenser did not work, for the past two weekend visits. Additionally, the bathroom appeared to have not been cleaned during my entire stay--garbage was overflowing, toilet paper running out, general cleanliness thoroughly lacking. The bathroom is heated with good lighting, and generally in good appearance. I appreciate access to a real bathroom with showers. I simply wish it was cleaned more regularly and stocked properly, especially since the bathroom is one of the reasons I have chosen this campground.

If you want to stay at a clean well kept rv park please keep driving. Staff was nice until we were unsatisfied with the conditions of the park. Weeds and stickers everywhere. Sites nice with trees but staff at front desk unprofessional in their response. When I didn’t want to stay because the site I was put it was not acceptable and not what I was told I would have I was offered to move to the sister park. At that park my neighbor who appeared to be there for an extended time had a pit bull off leash. I was worried about my dogs so I decided to leave there. I would have stayed but the frustration of all of it was overwhelming. I called the manager who told me that I wasn’t willing to be satisfied so I wasn’t given a refund for two nights stay. Like I said. Keep driving.

This place is amazing! You definitely get what you pay for. My partner and I had stayed for about a week back in December to get ready for our baby girl, Jen and all the staff were very helpful and welcoming. There are not many safe places around eureka to van camp, usually we find some free campsites but there really isn't much in the area that seem safe enough to do so. We started with a car campsite which you have electric hook ups and fresh water spigot. Very peaceful place and our two dogs were welcome, we were off season so not many people at all. They even have a small dog area to let them off the leash and run a bit. We couldn't help but notice the adorable cabins they have, so we inquired and have stayed a few nights in the simpler ones. For being away from home for so long the cabins were very comfortable and warm. The heaters in there work amazingly!! Showers are hot, laundry is the cheapest anywhere between eureka and crescent city. We enjoyed ourselves so much we make it a point to stay here every time we have a doctor's appointment. It is a bit more expensive than most places but I guarantee you it is well worth it. And it's much cheaper than even the motel 6. And much safer. I highly recommend Redwood Coastal Cabins and RV park. Jen again is wonderful and so isn't the staff. It's our home away from home. 🖤✌️🔥 Also there cute gift shop is fantasist! So go check them out. !!!!!!! What are you waiting for lol

Google
I ran across this place while I had an unexpected extended stay in Humboldt. The location is great. The staff is amazing. It's been quiet and comfortable. It's also close to both Eureka and Arcata. I had no idea the quality of the dining experiences available in Arcata. I'll definitely be back again!

Google
Only as a last resort. This RV Park is in desperate need of help. The bathrooms are disgusting. There are pot holes in the roadways and....there is a lot of long termers that have crap everywhere. The bathrooms are frequently used by non campers and left trashed. It's sad because it could be a nice spot if someone cared. We were there for 1 week and the dog park trash was never picked up.

Google
Location is horrible and in a very unsafe area of Eureka. Both men and women diets and restrooms in general were disgusting and looked like public restrooms. Not something I expected I was paying for. There's the longterm area of the park where it looks like people live guiltiness full time. People were loud, vehicles coming and going all through the night from one residence, receptacle bins were overflowing, trash on the ground throughout the park, cabins are cute from the outside, but mattress were thin, cobwebs in every corner of the cabin, office was never open to discuss issues, and to top it off our cabin smelled of old stale cigarette smoke. Don't be fooled by the charm of the outside of the cabins. I should have read the reviews of this place before booking. Needs to be shut down and condemned.

Google
This place is nothing like what the pictures show. We paid for one night and we slept in our car because our cabin was dirty and smelled so musty I didn't feel safe sleeping in the room. Directly out our cabin window were a bunch of chickens and ducks crammed together in dog kennels at the neighboring business, which may have contributed to the smell. Or maybe it was the huge open trailer full of trash right across from our cabin on the grounds that you can clearly smell as well. The grounds are poorly maintained, the grass is overgrown, there is almost no light to find your way to the bathroom at night, only cold water to wash your hands with, I could go on. Oh, and not a single staff member in sight! Never saw a single person in or around the office our entire stay and didn't talk to anyone. I've never had an experience like this. Won't be back and won't recommend.

Yelp
Decent campground. Gravel sites, not flat. A few weeds, it definitely needs some TLC. But it now does have WiFi!! Not screaming fast but it works.

Yelp
We originally booked to stay here just one night (a Sunday evening) but unfortunately our dog became ill and we left in the middle of the night for the emergency vet nearby and immediate surgery. We returned to camp and my husband asked if we could stay through the end of the week so our dog could rest at recover at the vet clinic. The lovely girl at the desk did ask if we were sure because there were no refunds. That same day we were informed the vet would have no one available to stay overnight with our dog and our best chance at survival was to pick him up and drive 4 hours North to a clinic in Medford, OR where they could provide 24 hour care. We went back to the desk to ask if we could cancel the additional days given this new information and we're told no. The again, very lovely girl at the desk told us she would talk to her manager and we would receive a call from her but that never happened. We picked up our critical dog and hit the road to Medford but unfortunately our buddy boy did not make it and he passed away in my arms about an hour from the clinic. Nothing was ever refunded and we never heard from management. I also emailed two days ago and did not get a response. I'm aware of what their policy was/is but would hope some exception would be given for the loss of our family member. We would always remember and recommend a location that responds with compassion to unexpected life events but this was not that place and I would not stay here again. Photos attached would be the last I would ever take of our boy before his sudden passing. *worth noting that the other campgrounds/RV resorts I called to cancel our reservations in the following days due to us needing to bury and grieve our dog DID respond with grace and took exception to our circumstance and for that we are grateful.

Yelp
This campground absolutely does its job as somewhere to stop, rest, go to the bathroom, take a shower, and keep on moving. If you keep that in mind, then this place works great. If you expect more, then pay more and go somewhere else. If you are a regular KOA Kampground user, you will see that this facility is now privately owned, and doesn't hit the same benchmarks of quality throughout the facility that other KOA's strive to maintain. We arrived after 5 PM after a long drive from San Francisco. The office was closed by 5 PM (which if you are a place for travelers, especially during summer months, maybe consider staying open until 7 PM? ) We were fortunate to catch a very friendly and helpful front office person on her way out. The tent site we were assigned had a flooded waterhose basin, and we wanted to move one site over, to which she graciously told us how to do that, and so we did. The bathrooms could definitely use regular attention. They are absolutely cleaner than most gas station bathrooms, so they're not terrible, and you can see that there isn't a consistent cleaning crew to qualify for five out of five stars consistently. Even though this location is coastal, a lot of the grass in the area is dead and yellow. Again, not a bad thing, but visually, does not give you a "attended to/curated landscape importance" experience. Shower was with hot water, functional shower stalls, and clean countertops to put your toiletries on once getting out. So again, if you have good camping tolerance, this absolutely works. But if you are a needy or judgey "Glamper" you will probably find something wrong with this location. Last part about safety, 2 sites over from us was a single woman traveling the coast who was very friendly and occurred as feeling safe enough to stay in this campground on her own. Enjoy the redwoods easily from this location. We went to the groves and back with no problems with our site, and brought food back from the Thai restaurant in town. Yelp
We recently stayed in a rustic cabin at this former KOA campsite. The cabin and campsite were clean and well-maintained unfortunately, the bathrooms were filthy. I complained to the person in the office and she said thank you. The showers needed a good scrubbing. The urinal was stained yellow from lack of cleaning and the bathroom stalls were just as bad. We went back in the next day and the bathrooms were still dirty. My girlfriend said that women in the bathroom also complained about how dirty it was in their bathroom too. It was really too bad because we had stayed there a year earlier and the place was great. We won't be coming back. I have chosen not to post the pictures that I have. Too gross

Yelp
At over $100 a night for a dry camping spot it's more than staying in a motel. campsites are clean and tidy, but no excuse for charging so extravagant prices.

K W.

Yelp
It is dirty (bathrooms were seldom cleaned) and management is almost non-existent. The 'security guard' took our chairs the first day, we thought they were stolen. In the morning, when the office finally opened, we found they had them in someone's office. They thought we had left them, even though we had a 4 day reservation and were only gone for the day. Then our bikes were stolen, bolt cutters were used. All of a sudden the 'manager' showed up to talk with the sheriff. This was the only time we saw her. I would not recommend this campground. I wish we hadn't stayed there.

Yelp
Our family arrived and was approached with instant hospitality that was shown by manager Jo'lene and her staff. Easy, fast and no hassle booking. Kids loved all the activities available such as Swimming, mini golf, big size chess/ checker boards and a park. They also have an onsite laundromat which is very convenient. On top of all of it they're pet friendly. We have definitely loved our stay and will be visiting frequently.

Yelp
What a wonderful place. So many updates to the property, clean & quiet. awesome play area for kids, mini golf, giant chess & checkers!! Pool & hot tub.. which are always pristine!! Dog area, cabins & tent camping, as well as RV spaces.. amazing. Management is excellent, such warm and welcoming people.. and they have a store on site and can fill propane for you. Laundry facilities on site, as well as big restrooms with showers.. you honestly don't have to leave if you don't want to.. it's a lovely bubble.. you can come in and forget the hubbub outside the park. This place is a true gem.

Yelp
Where to start ... we booked a cabin for two days online, lots of space available (in the wet season, with heavy rain predicted). I really liked the website, and the pictures online. We are traveling in an RV, but I wanted to have a cabin as a fallback if things were miserable in the RV (our first trip in this particular RV, but not our first campground or RV experience). Our itinerary changed by a day, and I called several times over a few days trying to contact the resort about changing the reservation but my calls were never answered and I never got a call back. I finally made a new reservation, and paid a second time for the new reservation (their confirmation email said I had to call to cancel). When we arrived at 4pm, the office was closed ... hours posted clearly on the door said 9am to 5pm on the day we arrive (Friday). There was a "back at 7:50" sign on the door -- we were there for almost two complete days and never once saw the office open. When I finally checked my credit card, the first charge had been refunded (less a processing fee, which I can accept but still resent ... they could have changed the reservation dates live, without incurring the charges for the second payment). The site is probably great in the summer, but it doesn't look good in heavy rain. Several deep muddy ruts had been left by past visitors, the laundry was expensive ($2 a load), the showers never got past lukewarm, and it wasn't clear where to put our garbage or recycling. To get to 101 south, you have to cross the highway at a tenuous intersection -- would not want to have to do that in the summer with the slow acceleration of our RV. Last, most resorts offer wireless service. We were a little disappointed to learn at self check-in (where you are asked to sign a long disclaimer that anything that goes wrong is your fault, and you can be evicted for any reason) that there is NO wireless and the cell connection at our site was poor (we are on AT&T, but I suspect that is true for most carriers given the location). On the positive side, great location -- easy to get to Arcata and Eureka, and a great jumping off point for the Avenue of the Giants and the Benbow Inn. BUT ... you can find better!

Yelp
Stay away!!! I would give this 0 stars if I could. We RV extensively and this is by far the dirtiest spot we have ever seen. Our site was COVERED in cigarette butts. Even the fire pits were full of them. They were so abundant that my puppy got nicotine poisoning, causing her to have a seizure, lethargy, and tremors. We had to schedule an emergency vet visit! We booked three nights and left after the first. And don't forget it's a no refund park, no matter what. What a dump.

Yelp
We have a large family and use this spot for our get togethers when ever we run to the coast. We go 3 or 4 times a year. Great family spot. Clean comfortable Cabins. Clean safe bathrooms and showers. Lots of activities for everyone. Staff is amazing and very knowledgeable on things to do in area. Will continue going here every chance we get. Would give them 5 stars but for some reason this site won't let me. We have group size from 2 to up to 25 people when we go. We use Cabins, tent sites and rv spots.

Yelp
We stayed here in September for 2 nights with our RV. We paid for 3 nights but decided to cut it short because of the condition of the RV area. I give this place 2 stars only because the bathrooms were modern and clean. Although they advertise WIFI and cable tv, they offered neither. The spaces were weed infested gravel and all of the grass was dead and mostly dirt. If you're desperate, this place will do for 1 night...

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS NOT ADA COMPLIANT! I took my handicapped mom here for a birthday trip and they don't even have a handicap accessible stall in the bathroom... They claimed that I "never told them" that I was bringing a handicapped person with me even though I put it in the special requests section and called them to ask about it. This morning as we were getting ready to leave the staff came over and told us that our service dog needed to be put on a leash. I tried to respectfully explain that he was a service animal and that he needs to be off leash in case he needs to alert someone if something happens to my mom. They argued with me even after showing proof of his licensure. Two men came out and started to get in my sister's face and threatening her. When I asked them if they were going to put their hands on us, they said "We'll do what we gotta do." They told us we were banned (that's okay, because I will never come back here) and tried to make us leave without any of our belongings. I will be reporting them for the lack of ADA compliance as they are a public place and therefore it is illegal to not have at least an ADA bathroom. Also, the pictures on the website make this place seem like a nice secluded area in the forest. It is located behind a lumber yard right off 101 N and is like a minute away from Eureka. Eureka apparently has a drug problem because when we went to town to grab some things we forgot it looked like a zombie apocalypse. There were legitimate tweakers on basically every corner. Not a good area, super unfriendly, and I will never go back here. The only positive thing I have to say about it is their pool is heated and apparently open 24 hours.

Yelp
SAVE YOUR MONEY! Absolute scam being ran here. I booked for my friend and I to stay for 3 nights in a cabin. I updated our check-in time to a later one, as we got stuck in road construction. Just wanted to communicate our situation and keep them updated as their office closes at 4pm! Nobody there in the evenings or during the night fyi. We arrive late at night and we see the self check-in box. We grabbed our cabin keys with our surname on the envelope. The next morning we took off on our excursion, just to get a voicemail from the office that there's a guest with the same surname as who can't check in because we "STOLE THEIR ROOM" First off, nobody stole anything. Had booking confirmation and guaranteed reservations sorted a week prior. I call them back and the lady says they need a different card to charge us to be able to stay there and that they sent a message to me via Booking.com the day prior. Ummm, so why didn't you bloody call me if there were card issues? I was driving all day and not checking my Booking.com app...They basically don't communicate and said they gave me 4 hours to update my card before giving our booked cabin away! So I gave them a new card, as I saw my previous one hadn't been charged, and it was sorted over the phone. At this point we really didn't even want to stay there with how they spoke to us. Totally out of order and tacky! 20 min later she calls back, says that they can't accommodate us now because STOLE a room from other guests and we had to vacate the cabin as soon as possible. Lol Wait WHAT?! Turn around to head back to the cabins, but first checked to see if my credit card had been charged...Locked my credit card and my debit card immediately!!!! Knew they were a scam at that point. Then the manager calls...oh boy she's a winner. Threatens to call the Sheriff as her associate told her that we said we weren't going to come back for our belongings. Lol! Absolute bonkers these broads are. Got our stuff, key dropbox, and we were off! So this dodgy, rundown, place is willing to leave people stranded if you don't keep an eye on your Booking app because they don't know how to CALL PEOPLE. Luckily, my children weren't with us that late at night with no place to stay! Also, being ex law enforcement, I know the laws and it would've wasted loads of time for a deputy to come to her rescue. Lol Moral of the story, check the Booking.com reviews better...cops apparently have been called on behalf of management and cops told the guests thjs place is a joke and they get called frequently by this manager person. Get a nice AirBnB! We are so glad we actually didn't stay there...we love our cottage we found!

Yelp
1. You do not necessarily get what you pay for at this place. We booked the "deluxe cabin" through hotels.com, or one of those similar websites. The deluxe cabin isn't really anything fancy, but it has a little fridge and a stovetop--the others do not. (This is not a huge amenity, but ithe ability to prepare meals was an important factor in our trip budgeting.) Upon arrival, we were given the keys to a cabin without any of that. The dismissive explanation of the staff: "oh yeah, we've been having ongoing problems with that website jumbling all the photos up. Sorry. That cabin is not available." No mention of refunding the cost differential between what we paid and what we actually received. The cabin itself is very spartan: a bed, a bunk bed and a single chair. Pretty much a place to sleep, with no room for any other activity. This is perfectly adequate if all you need is a place to sleep. Be aware there is a wall heater, but as other reviewers point out, there is no air conditioning. 2. They do not answer the phone, and they do not bother to return phone calls. Not before you arrive. Not while you are there. Leave all the messages you want on the answering machine; apparently nobody monitors it very often. 3. Bathrooms are pretty atrocious. Not only are they not concerned about achieving anything approaching COVID-prevention level of sanitization, they are not even concerned about unclogging the multiple plugged toilets, or removing the dried feces smeared on the stall walls. 4. The playground area is worn, but serviceable. I guess that was the silver lining for an otherwise disappointing experience. We will not return here.

Lisa W.

Yelp
Did not feel safe. Someone broke into our cabin in the middle of the night. I made the staff aware and they down played the situation and said it was probably just another camper who went to the wrong cabin. I watched the man peek through our door watching us, it was not a lost camper and our door WAS locked. We did not feel safe to stay another night and they would not reimburse for the night we did not stay. I felt like my safety concerns were not taken seriously.

Yelp
Stayed here for several years in a row great place to stay in eureka area close to both arcata and eureka center they also have tent space for camping or rv and trailer space. Play ground pool and spa

Heather H.

Yelp
I went up with my girlscout Troup to redwoods and we were going to sleep in our tents there, by 9pm it was pouring and two out of the three tents we had were flooding. We called and they gave us cabins to use and we were very thankful because by morning all the tents were soaking. When we got in the cabins we were mesmerized, they were clean and also had heaters which helped a lot since we had been freezing. The bathrooms were nice/clean and they had showers for free. They also had giant chess and checkers, they had a park and a pool/hottub for the summer. I personally really loved it there and would definitely stay there next time I go to redwoods.

Greg B.

Yelp
We stayed the night of June 2nd 2023 in cabin #18. Very disappointed! The whole floor is sticky and nasty the ceiling lights in the main room didn't work the dishes in the cabinet are dirty and the shower drain is plugged. Sadly I could go on been on vacation for a week and this is the worst place we have stayed. Save your money or look elsewhere if your coming to Eureka.
google avatar

Matt M.

Yelp
We arrived late, but it wasn't a problem. They had everything prepared for us. The cabin we stayed in was amazingly clean and nice. Kids had a blast. Only negative was in the morning there was ZERO water in the bathrooms and no one around to talk to about it. Pretty hard to start the day withoit any running water in the communal bathrooms, yet plenty of people stopping in to use them. Oh well, probably something with the street work going on that morning out front.

Yelp
A we were planing our summer travels we called , no answer left message , no one ever called back, the park we stayed at previously had another name we stayed at a sister park in Eureka I previously reviewed and was not overly impressed due to ownership lack of staffing etc.

Michaelyn L.

Yelp
I reached out several times, left messages. Other people in our party called multiple times as well and left messages and never received a call back. Very disappointed since it looked like a nice campground, that was kid friendly for our first adventure with our new trailer.

Elena P.

Yelp
This place is trash. We have stayed here a few years back and it was completely different back then. Not sure what happened. Window screens are dirty, so many old and new dead bugs and spiderwebs on them. The bathrooms are DISGUSTING. Dirty towels piled up from the day before. Management says bathrooms are cleaned out daily. That's a lie. Toilets clogged, hardly any toilet paper. There's only 3 stalls in the women's so 1 of the 3 was clean but we knew that it was only a matter of time the clean stall would be dirty like the rest so when we asked management if they can be cleaned out, she replied with "it's been busy and cleaning crew is off today" okayyyy. I get it, people need time off but that's why you get people to cover their shift especially since it's "so busy". And i thought you said they get cleaned out daily? And it wasn't even busy. We've seen the same small group of people the last two days. Mostly dirty barefoot kids running around unattended. Looks like they probably live here. You're better off finding something else that's will for sure be better than this place. OH! And there were cigarette butts on our patio seating area.

Yelp
Don't even bother stopping unless you like being treated poorly. Extremally rude staff/owner. Camp ground was dirty and unkept. Site was not level and bathrooms were dirty. Move on down the road better campgrounds further north. No wonder they lost KOA credentials.

Hatti M.

Yelp
First time stay, definitely will be back with the kids to enjoy all this place has to offer. Great get away for a romantic weekend or bring the kids and go swimming in the pool.

Emily F.

Yelp
Kind staff and a decent spot! We enjoyed our stay here. The sites were decently big, the dog park was nice to let our pups off leash. The place is a bit run down but overall a good place to stay to explore Humboldt! We prefer this one over their sister parks and will return once they have their wifi up as we work from home. We stayed in the back of the park and it was far enough off the freeway the car noise was not an issue for us.

Jill D.

Yelp
We visited this place last week, 2 motor homes. We had an awful experience at redwood RV. We both had booked 3 nites. unfortunately the campground was not up to our standards. PLUS there is no internet and our phones didn't work there either. we wanted to leave and requested credit for 2 nites, agreeing to stay and pay for one nite. The manager would not agree to that. Eventually they told us they'd credit our money, then they threw us out!!!! We had to pack up at 9pm and leave. They said we were very disrespectful!! we received terrible customer service!!!

Steve N.

Yelp
This place is a total joke! During a recent visit, I was accused by the staff there (Justine & Jenna) that one of their customers complained about someone breaking in to one of their cabins in the middle of the night at four in the morning. I was sleeping in my camper shell in the back of my truck at that time. Apparently the woman one of her money back and was going to file a police report according to the staff. I was then told that I was no longer welcome there because I made the staff uncomfortable. As well as a few other minor complaints about me, making reservations, checking out, and paying with cash in advance. The manager asked me to leave and told me I was no longer welcome there because this accusation that are totally false. I was very surprised and disappointed. I thought they knew me better than that as I have been staying there off & on for a few weeks. Meanwhile, at least half of the time I was there, the hot tub was not working correctly, and the pool was closed. Also, one of the main restrooms was closed due to construction, which did not seem to be happening during the two weeks I was there. The one available restroom was filthy on multiple occasions. Unfit and unsafe because it was unsanitary. The time I was, there was very strange I could not put my finger on what seemed off. Something was definitely shady going on there with the staff and the family that lives and works there. Not sure what they're up to, but it seems like they are shady. Needless to say, I will now be contacting the owner of the park to let him know that there may be a class action suit filed against the property because of discrimination and false actually relations made against me. I will be seeking legal help in this matter and if there's anyone else, that is a former customer there an experienced anything like this please let me know. They basically didn't want me staying there anymore. Their story was mixed up and a lot of things didn't make sense. I hope the owner is ready for a lawsuit because this happened to not just me but another person that was staying there at the same time. He was kicked out and accused of going in the cabin in the middle of the night. I would definitely not recommend staying at this park to anyone that wants to feel safe and is getting a fair deal. Extremely disappointed, Steve Bero

Yelp
My family and I have been returning to this place for years! It's our home away from home. Joleen is always so helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Bathrooms are always clean. It's a wonder hidden gem. Looking forward to my next stay!!!

Yelp
Super easy to work with them and everyone is very kind. Family only needed a place to stay for a night and ended up staying at a whole week. Now looking into staying longer because of the hospitality and business.

Yelp
My kids and I had a blast for the most part but I refuse to camp here again. I love the resort as it's own. But The manager named Steven and, I think, his wife if he was telling the truth and not just being a creep which he was as well, gave me one out of my two nights free. I was there by myself with 5 kids. He pursued me and continued with sexual harassment after telling him multiple times I'm in a serious relationship and do not cheat. Asked me to have a drink, also offered his daughters to babysit my child in which I declined the offer. He had told me his wife told him to find a girl for the both of them so she could watch. He kept asking when my kids go to bed and if my boyfriend and I are really that serious. He said they gave me tomorrow free as well which I also declined. I had never met these people until I went camping there over the weekend. I do live in the area. I was creeped out and uncomfortable the last night I was there and had a very hard time sleeping while my little ones were asleep. My kids and I had so much fun aside from my last night experience of sexual harassment. I'm not sure if his wife was involved. She never came over.

Yelp
This was a visit during my annual roadtrip; I was trying to save some money on a nearly 2 week trip and saw that the cabins were much cheaper than any other place to stay in the area. This stay was purely an economic choice, but I'd honestly camp close by instead, which I did on the way back down in Patrick's Point. The site is an old KOA campground, if you're familiar. There are spots that are for tents, spots for trailers/RVs, and different kinds of cabins. Usually, there are a few long-term guests; people that stay there for very extended, seemingly unknown periods of time. The cabin is very small, but worst of all, unbearably hot. This summer was unseasonably cool, and though the temperature outside was very mild, the fact that the sun was beating on the cabin that had the windows closed made for a furnace. The heat also soaked into the wood, so although I was provided a fan and opened the windows, it took a few hours to cool down to ambient temperature. Anyway, the stay was fine, but know that you're going to be in what's essentially a huge lot with some trailers around, basically a nicer version of what you'd think of when you hear trailer park. If you have to have four walls and a roof, with electricity and acceptable beds, this is about the cheapest place to stay around here. If you don't mind camping out without power, try your hand at any of the state or national wilderness areas around.

Yelp
I give it one star because it was there. it was in really sad shape though, kind of dumpy/dilapidated. definitely won't be back. tries to pass itself off as a Koa campground, but no way, not even close. long dead grass, very rocky sites, dog park is a disaster.

Yelp
Wish I could give zero stars! Was there for a little over a year and watched the decline! The office staff was originally friendly, the newer staff (save one gal Jenna) is not very friendly. From a few months of being there I became the target of harassment and discrimination! The grounds are not kept, the bathrooms are horrible, and the preferential treatment of some is blatantly obvious. Some people are allowed to break the rules with more pets than allowed, including farm animals, some are allowed fences for their dogs while others are not. I suffered an injury that limited my ability to function for weeks... when I alerted the park to the huge hole in the pavement and unlit area where I fell they laughed it off. Nothing was done to prevent someone else from being maybe more seriously injured! On top of the harassment and discrimination, I have requested my rental receipts several times and have been denied, which is against the law. Numerous times I found used needles in the park, and other drug paraphernalia! There is animal feces everywhere, water turned off without warning for days at a time, ancient electrical I'm surprised hasn't caused fires (which has happened at their other park Shoreline). The laundry facilities are never available as the park employees are constantly using them. The WiFi, which they advertise having, is not available. The sewer had flies coming up through the drains into my RV! The fleas are at astronomical levels, and my dog contracted parvo after being vaccinated and almost died! The list of things could go on and on! DO NOT STAY HERE!

Yelp
Stayed one night, just passing thru. This could be a really nice park however they have people living here that that obviously have drug problems. If you don't mind having your kids see somebody come out of their trailer with a bong in their hand then you're all good. It's really too bad because this looks like it was really a nice park at one time, it's too bad they have allowed people that are a little undesirable to be living here. The office was closed in the middle of the afternoon when we checked in no supervision or security on site. The permanent residence dictated that we lock up our tow gear before we left for dinner. Pulling in, it looks like it will be nice, however, once inside, it's just ok, lawns at sites not mowed. Mostly 30 amps, but there are some 50 amps. looks like it used to be a KOA campground, but obviously it's not anymore. Won't be back. Won't be back

Yelp
We arrived at 230 in the afternoon as check in is at 1 pm. No staff was on site to great us or check us in. Sign on the door said out to lunch and check in is after 1 pm. We arrived 1.5 hours after check in time and apparently they had not come back from lunch. We did find out check in the after hours box they had assigned us a spot near the pool (not a bad thing), on the paperwork it stated that there is no WiFi and that no refunds will be issued even though they falsely advertise things and cannot provide them. To tell customers tough crap, deal with it, (my words not theirs) is wrong. The park was only about 1/4 full of people, not in bad condition per se, however the site was level'ish and my auto level did not like it for some reason. After getting the trailer setup we went to the pool and found a horrible lock on the entrance to it, specifically it is a small dial you need to turn and no handle to pull, with full hands its almost impossible to get in. Getting out is even harder. I had to reach in and trip the latch with my finger for us to get out. The pool is heated which is nice, but the jacuzzi bubbles did not work. The pool is over chlorinated and is dirty. Most of the washers as well as the dryers in the laundry room have out of order signs on them but with the park almost empty it wasn't a big deal. The good about the park, the park itself seems to be an old KOA campsite so as you can guess it is near a highway, little to no noise is heard at least from our site in our trailer. The grounds seem to be somewhat well kept and we did see workers working on some sites. But other than that, this campground is not worth the cost.

Yelp
Terrible, you false advertised. There was NO wifi. And the female showers were gross! Bugs everywhere.

Yelp
We are loving it here! I'm sitting on our cool porch swing at our cabin and writing this. It's day 2 or our 4 night stay and couldn't be happier. I missed the Pacific Ocean breeze of the area something terrible. Our cabin is definitely snug but perfectly fine for the 2 of us. Love having our meals at the picnic table. Bathrooms are nice & clean, lots of hot water for showering (no extra charge), we peaked into the laundry room a bit ago and that was spotless. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub and will be again each day I'm sure. Heated pool is around 80 degrees Fahrenheit and hot tub is around 105 I'd say. They keep the grounds clean and tidy. WiFi seems to work fine. Neat little convenient store onsite for junk food, beer, soda, toiletries, and ice is $3.50 per bag. Winner!

Yelp
We stayed in a deluxe cabin. Husband wife and 3 year old boy. The cabin is close to new and well maintained. TV loaded with Netflix, IMDb, Amazon prime video, etc. heater was warm. Kitchen was small and well stocked with the essentials. Hot shower and well maintained bathroom. The playground next door was the selling point from the pictures online and did not disappoint. Plenty of space for the baby to ride his bike around as well. The whole place is clearly under construction and it looks like a lot of good progress is being made. I suspect most will be done by summer. I would definitely stay here again. It was a welcome break from the 4 walls of our Bay Area home.

Yelp
This place is definite drive by. The RV sites and the roads through the park are not kept up and in need of major repairs. The site I was put in was so out of level it made no sense to hook up my sewer. There was dog poop everywhere. On a positive they had a laundry facility and the bathrooms were reasonably clean. The office staff was unwilling to apply my AAA discount after I arrived as they told me I had to inform them at the time of booking, They never mentioned they took any discounts when I booked.....how hard would it have been to refund my CC??? I wouldn't stay here again.

Yelp
The facilities were clean and there was plenty of actitives for kids, playground, pool, mini-gofl, etc. I made the reservations several weeks in advanced and requested a private site because we have a dog. When we arrived, we were sent to a site that was occpupided. They then set ups up in an RV site (we had a tent) with no privacy at all. There is no Wifi and only a few toilets in the mens room so a line forms in the morning. The next day we returned to our site and it was again being occupied, even with our tent still up. They never responsed to emails and I was very disappointed that I was still charged the full two nights even though both the sites were occupied by other people. I would only recommend this site if you have kids and an RV, otherwise not a great spot for a couple with a dog to go tent camping. I will not be returning to this campsite.

Yelp
We absolutely loved it here. We are typically tent campers but since we brought our 5 month old baby, we opted for the rustic cabin. This cabin was absolutely perfect. It had a heater, power outlets, a queen bed and 2 bunk beds (you must bring your own bedding). We were on our way from CA to OR and it was a perfect stop. I know it sounds weird but I was super impressed by the bathrooms. They were immaculately clean, and they had showers as well. It was about a 5-10 min drive from old town Eureka and it was nice to go down there and get dinner/ ice cream and walk by the water. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
We were on a two weeks vacation to see the Pacific ocean , it was just my husband and myself . We took our tent along , to camp when available and weather permitting . Weather was beautiful , so we decided to go for it , and tent camp ( we had also tent camped in Yellowstone ) so let me just say this .. I would choose camping in Yellowstone over this place anytime .. Disappointing , the tent site they assigned us , had a huge ditch we had to cross to get to our tent ! The campground was loud , after quiet time , The worst part , their were other sites available , so why did they assign us this site !!! and we never even had a fire ring for a campfire !! I'll not stay here again without asking specific details about our camping site !!!

Yelp
I don't even know what to say, except pick somewhere else. Last summer we stayed for a few days. I reserved a few days for this summer because... I'm an idiot and didn't learn the first time. I got the reservation confirmed by email- didn't notice my name was misspelled by one single missing letter- and stopped in to the office to inquire about paying early. It turned out they gave me a reservation under the wrong name and that I was actually, in fact, banned from the park. What??? They revealed that in their system I was banned due to "pet damages". My service dog did not cause any property damage and the cabin was left clean. I asked if there was any detail about these supposed damages and no, there was not. I asked if there was someone I could speak to as no one had ever contacted me about this issue. The larger blond woman said, "I am the only one" (that I could speak with) and added that I was also banned from shoreline park- which I had never been to. The owner is John C. That's all I know and I had to do an internet search. They must have a lot of complaints to refuse the option of contacting managers or owners? The hold on my credit card is still there. It's just several dollars, I'm going to cut my losses. Last time we stayed we were prohibited from flushing tp down the toilet and the bathrooms were not only unclean, but really disgusting because the garbage bins had soiled tp from all the different campers which wasn't attended to. The Wi-Fi never worked although it was advertised and the power went out preventing me from using my bipap. Also, the pool and playground areas were so closely monitored it was uncomfortable being watched so closely and being immediately confronted about a minor infraction (that was quickly righted) moments after it happened like I was being intently scrutinized. Very unfriendly staff, same as last year. I got the reservation for my young son who requested to stay here for his birthday. There are plenty of other friendlier and more accommodating beautiful cabins and resorts to choose from in Humboldt. Read the reviews. This place is really depressing, run down and the staff is rude.

Yelp
We have had great experiences here both times we visited. Nick in maintenance went above and beyond for us. Our brake pads were going out and he noticed it and offered his tools to help my husband change them! We got to change them and safely make our way home the next day. We had our two big German Shepards that got very sandy and dirty at the beach and he let us use his hose to rinse them! He was always around to help the guest and helped make our stay safe and less stressful!
