Reef Resort Kradan

We loved our three-night stay at Reef Resort. The location is great and we loved being able to snorkel right off the beach and use free snorkeling gear and kayaks. The staff are very friendly and provide great service. The food was also consistently good, especially lunch and dinner. It really wasn’t worth eating anywhere else on the island. We will come back to Reef Resort!

We spent 3 days in total at the Reef resort (and wished we’d stayed longer) and the experience was absolutely amazing! ||Before we arrived, we received plenty of information about the limitations on the island (such as no ATM and the fee for credit cards) as well as instructions on how to best get to Koh Kradan. At the arrival by a speedboat a hotel representative was already waiting on us to help us off board and to bring the luggage to the hotel (which in my book is not to be taken for granted). ||There is complimentary water available upon arrival and in every room; the rooms can be tidied on daily basis upon request (but even without it, all rooms get fresh water every day); the water-Sport equipment for SUP and kayaking are free of charge, the snorkeling equipment is free of charge, the transfer back to the speedboat pier is free of charge - a lot of things that some places would ask for an extra payment for. There are toys for kids and board games for kids and adults alike. ||The food offering is very qualitative for Thai food (and some western food which we didn’t try). With a consideration that Ko Kradan is a remote island to which everything needs to be brought by a boat, there are really plenty of things in the offering. ||The room was very clean, the AC and a ventilator both worked without any problems, and so did the shower. All rooms point towards garden, so there are two layers of curtains that do the job well of keeping the rooms private enough. ||Last but not least, and probably what made our experience so amazing are Genta and her team: everyone is very kind and helpful, and ready to make arrangements for the guests. Even if there are some small misunderstandings around food or anything, this is solved immediately and in a very kind way. Ko Kradan is not exactly around the corner from Germany, but we really hope to return to the Reef Resort.

If you need to relax and do nothing this is the place to come. Decent rooms and great service from the staff. When you come make sure to find some drift wood and make your own sign to put up on the roof. Next door is a real great Italian restaurant, I recommend it highly. Genta is a great host and will help you with adventures on and off the island. At the resort you can kayak and go snorkelling. We will definitely be booking to come here again for a rest and a recharge. I would also recommend going to the Emerald cave for a visit. Brilliant, lovely and beautiful.

Reef Resort is a place I wholeheartedly recommend! My stay here was one of the most beautiful experiences during my trip to Thailand. The resort stands out with its incredibly warm and family-like atmosphere, created by the lovely staff. A special thanks to the two person (I think they are the owners) – they dedication and care for guests are simply outstanding. The prices are very reasonable, making the place even more appealing. The view from the resort is breathtaking – a perfect spot to relax and soak in the beauty of nature. The food served at the restaurant is absolutely delicious; every dish was a true culinary delight. New Year's Eve at Reef Resort was unforgettable – everything was organized with great heart and attention to detail. Additionally, the staff surprised us with a very thoughtful gesture, which made our stay even more special and showed how much they genuinely care about their guests. I felt truly appreciated and well taken care of here. If you’re looking for a place that combines stunning views, amazing food, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service, Reef Resort on Ko Kradan is the perfect choice. I will definitely return!

The location is great. 50m swim to a nice reef with a lot of different fishes. Staff is lovley, service minded but most of all very friendly. You kan borrow kayaks, padel boards, snorkeling gear and so on. Restaurant is decent. Have to mention the view as well. It doesn't get any better!!

Koh Kradan is worth a visit! We stayed 4 nights in Reef Resort and really enjoyed our time there. The resort is fine. Everything is clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. Not all facilities are in perfect condition but everything is working (you see that things have been in use for a couple of years). The location totally makes up for those little drawbacks. Food (Thai) was good and also the breakfast was good, with some thai and western options and a nice selection of fruit (watermelon, pineapple, dragon fruit, papaya). If you don't require all the fanciness of a new beach bungalow and want to safe a couple of Bath, reef resort is just fine for you. There is obviously not much to do on such a small and remote island, but with the beautiful beach and sea, there are some options. Snorkeling right in front of the resort is ok, but not great (about 70 % of the coral is dead there). You should swim to the rim of The reef, where coral are in better condition. The reef suffered from to high water temperatures in the last years. It is better to go to the southern end of the island or to the northern beaches (beaches without resorts). We took a kayak from the resort (free, as is snorkeling gear) to paddle to the furthest northern beaches (takes you 20-30 min and may be a bit tiring), put up a hammock there that we brought with us and spend two days chilling and snorkeling there, without seeing anybody else all day! There are not so many touristic places on the islands that offer this... (While also offering the amenities of a holiday resort, e.g. AC in the room).

Reef Resorts success is due to what you can’t see! Not only do rooms have facilities that others don’t… a kettle, aircon, fridge etc., they have Kradan’s best Thai food and management…Italian Genta and local Jack, who totally interact with guests all day long…in meeting every need, in little gestures, in fun, jokes, games around the bar with other guests and when you’ve been here a few days their staff get to know you personally and interact too… it becomes like being on holiday with friends snd family!
