Amazing! I had a last minute mini break with my dog. I have visited Ballina/Shaws Bay for many years. I wish I had stayed here sooner. Amazing customer service. I received a text message to say my cabin was cleaned and available to check in. The young lady at reception was so polite and was genuinely interested in my dog. My cabin was perfect (Cabin 5 with a carpark). It was so clean and tidy and a perfect size for me and my boy. The balcony was huge and secure. Inside was clean, tidy and had a very comfortable bed. Location is perfect for dog activities. There is a perfect dog beach a short walk over the bridge. A lovely coffee shop and fish and chip shop within a 2 minute walk. Wonderful. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. I have already booked my next stay.

We have loved the area quiet and a bit out of the town. You have a lot of walkable areas around and also food next door |The camping is small just close to the water|Amenities are very clean|The spaces are a bit to small for me, that s a a city camping. The premium sites on the second line don’t worth the price at all. With all caravan and cars in front of you

The view was great, and the cabin was clean. The biggest issue was there was no wifi. When I asked for assistance with this issue, staff were aware that this was a problem. I was told that I should be able to access wifi from the deck... I could not! Holidaying with a child who has ASD can be challenging, and not having wifi is a deal breaker for us!

The cabins were really lovely, they had everything we needed and then some. There were 4 adults and a toddler in our cabin but there was plenty of room.

We stayed here for two nights in our motorhome with our dog. The park has all your basic facilities. The star attraction of this park, in my opinion, is its location. You are in good walking distance or better with bicycles, like us, to various beaches, waterways, eateries, and general site seeing such as the sea wall with its full length paved walk and cycle way. The park caters well for people with dogs. Our dog made herself quite at home and was able to read the signs and knew what to do............

Worst CP we have ever stayed at . Booked for a 7.5m van and got allocated a 7m spot with no room to park our vehicle . Crammed in like sardines so badly we had to get guests across from us to all move their vehicles to park. Staff took no responsibility for their error and told us to park our vehicle out on the road . Or pay another $420 to move to another site which they couldn’t guarantee was free for the whole duration of our stay. The beach and park areas does not allow dogs despite being next to the beach. On departure we had to enlist several guests to help us manually move the van out of site to be able to hitch it to our vehicle. The sites are so tiny we almost backed into someone’s awning and we could all literally hear each other inside our vans. Just a shocking set up and no care factor by the management . Will not go back

We stayed here in our caravan. Staff were excellent. The location is ideal and next to a lake and the river. Also very close to the famous Ballina parkrun. The only problem was the lights in the amenities blocks keep turning off leaving customers fumbling in the dark in the toilet cubicles. This only saves them about $1 a year in electricity.

As newcomers to camping and travel, this was our fourth or fifth stay at a caravan park. We found the facilities to be clean and well-maintained, with friendly reception staff and a well-kept park. The nearby takeaway shop near the entrance was a convenient bonus.||We were fortunate to secure a great site right on the water's edge, offering uninterrupted views. The amenities were conveniently close, making our stay easy and comfortable.||Being dog-friendly was a key factor in choosing this park, and we were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful additions such as dog waste bag dispensers and a dog bath, even though we didn’t need them ourselves.||Overall, I highly recommend this caravan park and plan to return for another weekend getaway in our campervan.
