Only went there for a collab pop up. But otherwise I’d not shop here. Everything is marked up like crazy you can find a lot of stuff second hand or better yet online. I’m not saying the stuff isn’t bad but the prices are. Especially the designer is decent, the only things that were overpriced in my eyes were Y2K brands and dead stock items that you would probably find at Sante alley. Also I’ve worked in retail before but the way every 2 seconds I was getting approached asking if I needed help or a dressing room was overwhelming. Even after I agreed to the dressing room I liked the item and was planning on purchasing which I did. The rest of my shopping experience was annoying. The employees continuing to breathe down my neck the second I touch an item they would run and ask if I wanted to unlock it or try it on even though I tried on the item I was gonna purchase. This happened for about 15 minutes and had at least four other employees come up to me during my shopping experience to ask me the same thing dressing room . To the point that I just purchased my item and didn’t wanna shop anymore.

Never in my entire life have I ever been treated so terribly by an employee. I visited Reformation Vintage at around 4 pm on June 28th, and the conversation with an employee I had was so incredibly rude. My friend and I were planning on buying a few items but after my experience I put everything back and walked out. I kindly asked if I could please try on an item and this women looked me in my face and said no that's belongs to someone else as she was clearing out a dressing room. The tone in her voice and the way she looked at me like she was disgusted. I tried to move on and try on the clothes but I decided I don't want to buy anything from a place that would hire such a rude employee. I won't be back!

Google
Workers were so rude and judgmental. Don’t even know how they were hired. I felt so uncomfortable trying on clothes getting nasty looks. They were so rude to my friend as well after she had asked a simple question. If you want people to buy your stuff maybe hire workers who are nice and make you feel good about yourself OR at least they should keep to themselves instead of judging you and making rude remarks. If I ever see these workers again i’m walking right out. Find better employees

Google
I found a gorgeous red silk dress here but it was too small. Unfortunately there isn't much here if you're size 8 or larger. (P.s. the employees did not mind that I took pictures of the dress I loved. Reverse image search-- found it on ebay in my size at half the price and wore it to my wedding rehearsal! ❤️)

Google
Gorgeous collection with INSANE prices I’m talking express dresses that you can find on Poshmark for $20 for $178 it’s a great spot if you’re in a pinch for an event and need a cute outfit asap and don’t have time to wait for shipping but truly truly truly overpriced

Google
Absolutely horrible customer service, shopping environment, and employee interactions. Ignored us the entire time we were in there and we were the only customers in the store. Started humming along to a song that was playing and the employee immediately went and skipped the song… crazy. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Google
Such sweet staff! Their selection and merchandising is beautiful with such thoughtful color stories and curation - intuitive and fun shopping experience. Yes it is definitely marked up a LOT and it’s like if someone with great taste went thrift shopping and marked their good finds up, but you’re paying for that ease of shopping experience as much as the piece itself. Overall love for finding one-of-a-kind gems

Honestly don't understand why this place has so many stars. I was APPALLED by the prices in here. They seriously mark up everything by 800%+. For example, a few weeks ago I bought a blazer from this 80s brand at a ~real~ thrift store for $15. At this place, a blazer from the same brand was $160!!! Absolutely insane. Also, their stuff is poor quality! They were trying to charge $100 for a no brand name dress with a huge stain on the front. Don't waste your money, people! Honestly drive down the road and go to Wasteland or one of the other vintage stores on Melrose (still overprices but not absolutely despicable).

Yelp
As a longtime Reformation fan, this store does not disappoint. From the accessories (scarves, belts and handbags) to the t-shirts and reworked floral vintage sets, everything is well curated and in great condition. I also love the design and layout of the store, which is inviting and presents the clothes in an easy-to-navigate fashion. Regarding prices, it's in line with Reformation's new collections. I bought a vintage Champion tank for $68 and a two-piece floral set for $128. Every time I've been here (only on the weekend), the sales associates have been friendly, attentive and helpful. If you stop by the regular Reformation store first, Ref Vintage is a short walk west down Melrose. TL;DR: Well curated collection of vintage pieces in prime condition

Yelp
I lost respect for Reformation as a sustainable brand after visiting this store. This is not a vintage shop. Some cool pieces but mostly brands that were popular in the 2000s, in fair condition, sold at multiple times more than the original price. There are ripped pieces, stained pieces... at $98+. So disappointed.

Yelp
During our visit a few weeks back, my daughter and I were pleased to encounter the welcoming and supportive staff at the store. I ended up purchasing a lovely retro scarf for my daughter. Our positive experience during the first visit ensures that we will be returning customers.

Yelp
INSANELY ups the prices of EVERYTHING. Do not buy from this store ever. Bought a dress for $190 and later found out its retail price was $30. Actually appalled the people who work at the store don't think it is disgusting what they are doing. REFORMATION VINTAGE IS A SCAM!!!

Yelp
The girls that work here are either snobby or racist Every time I walk in they never say hi or welcome. But when someone else does right after me they say welcome. like really girls? At least make it less obvious. Wow that hurt. And I was dressed decent obviously. I don't think it has anything to do with it. This happened multiple times! It was too painfully obvious.

Yelp
Cute stuff, crazy prices. I shop vintage everywhere, from eBay to decades prices. The stuff at Reformation vintage, while stylish and in good condition, is laughably overpriced. I saw a polyester cami/tap shorts set for $128 dollars. The tag said it was 'silk'. It was from SEARS.

Carly S.

Yelp
You know when they say "I'd give this place no stars if I could". Well... yeah. How do I even begin to describe how retched this god forsaken boutique is? Well I guess we can start with their inventory! Not gonna lie, some of their stuff is cute, but none of it is bigger than a women's medium. If you want to be shamed into getting an eating disorder, come on in to ref vintage. Let's be real it's basically Brandy Melville up a tax bracket. And boy is that tax bracketing. Perfect segue into my next point: the prices. I understand that vintage is valuable, but these white girls are taking it too far! I found a tank top there that was previously on sale at dollskill. At ref vintage they'll rip the tags off those fast fashion "garments" and BOOM price it for $120. Very very skeevy. Not to mention I saw a skirt there priced at $130 and then that SAME DAY found the same one for $15 at crossroads. For their "upcycled" pieces expect a $350 dress with a rolling hem seeming sewed by a toddler (I mean, in all honesty, it could've been). By now you're probably wondering, what could they have possibly done to inspire me to write this scathing review? After all, scummy vintage stores cutting corners like this are a dime a dozen on melrose. Well, let me tell you, they're racist. I take great pride in being a young successful woman of color. Dare I say girlboss. I'm no idiot. I know that reformation vintage is expensive. I came in there willing to spend good money on good pieces, but was met with shoddy clothing and absolutely unacceptable customer service. When I entered the store I was not greeted by any of the young white female employees, who couldn't be bothered to look up from their phones. Honestly, I didn't even think they were employees until a much whiter customer came in after me, not even five minutes at that, and it all of a sudden my ears were assaulted by shrill hellos and exclamations of how "super cute" her outfit was. And no hate to white girl, her outfit was cute, but the clear and blatant racism from the employees was not. I stayed in the store for maybe 20 minutes and was not helped by anyone or even greeted. After perusing the dismal racks, I showed myself the door. To anyone considering shopping at reformation vintage, don't make the same mistake I did. Just stay home or shop at one of the much better stores in that neighborhood.

Yelp
Say what?! I LOVE this place! What's with the negative reviews?? Everyone is super nice. I live in Canada and I wish we had Reformation here. It's a must visit when I'm in town. The pieces are totally sought after in Vancouver. They're so feminine and well made too. When I want to stand out at a party I throw on my Reformation dress. I love everything I've bought - even from years ago. Never gets old. Plus, what the company stands for is a mega bonus. Every clothing company should be doing what they're doing!

Jessi S.

Yelp
A bunch of mildly cute garbage you could find at Goodwill, overpriced because it's all now at a "Reformation" store, tricking all the Gen-Zs and millennials into wasting their money on "cool girl" vibes. It's all just really old thrift store items that Reformation is trying to make 500% gains on. I found a plain black sweatshirt with "CALIFORNIA" written on it, so worn out that light could shine through it and there was a faint stain...no brand, no logos.... $138. Nah, I'm good.

Yelp
I was hesitant in writing this review but after the crappy taste this store has left in my mouth multiple times while trying to enjoy and treat myself in this store, I thought my experience should be known to other shoppers! Beware! The tall older woman (who seems to be the manager) has not only made ME completely uncomfortable about myself &body image when shopping but I heard and watched her do the SAME thing to another customer while I was in there last. This company is supposed to be about empowering women of all shapes right? Hire some women to do so in your store! I don't want to go shopping and be looked up and down like I don't belong. I am a buying customer! Unfortunately this might be the last time I come in here. *****If you have the money to buy 8 dollar thrift store dresses for 125$ while being judged by a complete snob then this is your store.****** Note I have never written a review on Yelp, but this was 110% necessary.

Yelp
I'm a HUGE fan of the normal Reformation stores, and I'm aware that Reformation is an expensive brand (mainly because the costs of producing ethical/sustainable clothing is much higher). I was super excited to come to the Reformation Vintage store, but was extremely disappointed. As far as I saw, short dresses were $85 and simple tops were $45 -- this would be fine if the clothes were the Reformation brand, but they weren't -- they were just random clothing I could have found at Goodwill. For normal Reformation, the high prices make sense, but I don't see how that applies here when there is no cost for making the clothes (and the cost of curating a $7 Goodwill dress should be nowhere near $85). The clothing was definitely nice, and the denim bar was interesting, so if you have the money, go for it. Otherwise, save up for items from the normal Reformation store down the street.

Yelp
Love this store! Amazing assortment of vintage & beautifully merchandised I might add. It's impeccably curated and you can tell everything was handpicked with love- I always leave with something amazing. Just popped in there a few days ago and had a particularly positive experience with a girl named Rachel as well as a blond girl (didn't catch her name!) Both were incredibly friendly, welcoming & attentive (without being pushy, which we all hate). Rachel kindly answered all of my incredibly inquisitive mother's questions as she had never heard of Reformation. If you've never been here, I suggest checking it out x

Yelp
Really beautifully curated store - trouble is everything is a size XS or S. I'm a size 8-10 and maybe found 3 pieces in the entire store that would even fit. Asked for a size 29 jeans and they didn't have 1 pair. Most sizes were 26 which is super small! Not very inclusive. Kinda a bummer that they don't choose pieces that fit a variety of body types. The message this store sends to women about their bodies is disappointing to say the least.

Yelp
Hi Reformation can I please live at your store forever? So impressed with the collection. The aesthetic is so cool and organized- almost too easy to shop- The staff is friendly and super helpful with outfit ideas. They were happy to suggest different styles and encouraged me to have fun trying on! I'll be back very soon.

Yelp
The people who work hear are beyond rude... My friend tried on a jump suit and the woman who worked there offered the jumpsuit to another customer. When she went to buy the $130 jumpsuit the worker rolled her eyes at her. I don't know this just rubbed me the wrong way. So rude. I don't understand why people can't just be nice when they work in retail

Yelp
I was in the LA area visiting and walked into this store by chance. What an amazing store. The clothing is everything I have ever dreamed of. The bad side is be prepared to want to buy every article of clothing in the shop.

Yelp
The girls here are super friendly and helpful! They all helped us out and were super inviting. Definitely will be going back soon!

Yelp
The Ref vintage store is definitely an experience. I will say, if you're coming in- be ready to spend money. They market the store as curated vintage sourced from all over the country. From what I can tell, its an accurate description. The prices are like most curated vintage shops so I wasn't very surprised by the prices (a vintage band tee is around $150). I disagree with the reviews about the customer service though. When I went in the girls were super friendly- even going as far as making small talk and giving recommendations of what to do in the area. I ended up coming out with two pieces that I LOVE and get compliments on every time I wear them. I will say that the measurements on their vintage denim is off. I'm usually a 27 or 28 in 100% cotton denim and a 29 wouldn't even go past my thighs. I'm assuming who ever was taking measurements and tagging the items was unexperienced. This feedback is just for the denim on the racks, I was low on time so I couldn't check out the denim bar. Overall AMAZING. Definitely a stop next time I'm in LA.

Yelp
Lemme start by saying I LOVE reformation. As someone who does not shop fast fashion (I mainly thrift) they are one of the few sustainable retailers I can shop at guilt free, even though they are pricey the quality is well worth it. This being said, I was super excited for the vintage sale thinking they'd be taking vintage fabrics or items and reworking them. Boy was I WRONG. Although it was super clean, the reformation vintage store looks like any other thrift shop. They had mainly vintage 1980's Victoria's Secret and Levi's which is fine but I don't understand why anyone would pay $88 for a tank top you could find on Depop for max $45. The part the made me actually angry and the reason I'm writing this review are the tags. They left all original tags (which is cool) but didn't even take the iota of effort to add a Reformation tag HOWEVER all the items that looked like silk but weren't they had CUT OUT the materials tags. To clarify; the only items that had materials tags were 100% silk, they cut out tags of items that were polyester in order to sell them at the same outrageous price.

Yelp
I went in this weekend READY TO SPEND. No form of greeting or welcoming were shown. The girls were simply talking to each-other about what to they wanted buy and on top of that trying on clothes for themselves. It was myself and another lady and no one approached or welcomed us. I know it was hot and stuff but a simple Aye would probably be enough. Anyways, I read the other reformation reviews on yelp and the other one on melrose has bad reviews I am assuming people might confuse locations and or management has a shitty discernment in hiring. I am not even a needy customer. I simply pick things out and say can you hold these up front but yup shitty employees. The none vintage location on Melrose is pretty chill so like I said the negative reviews are probably meant for this location. End of story I left. I WISH THEY WOULD OF SAID THANKS FOR COMING OR SOMETHING SO I COULD HIT THEM BACK WITH A yeah fuck y'all. The store will probably close down soon retail stores are getting hot hard specially with customer service like that people rather shop online or better service stores. I took my money to G-Star, Urban, Shoe Palace, Bludsos and the grove. Word of advice give it a couple months to close down to get those out of business deals if they don't take their stuff to other locations but worth a try and worth not stepping foot in there.

Kaela F.

Yelp
I love this place. I couldn't wait for it to open and it didn't disappoint. So many great pieces. I'll definitely be back once a month or so to see what other amazing stuff comes in. Staff was friendly and helpful without being overly intrusive or pushy.
