Refuge Mount

We visited Refugio do Monte with family ( including seniors).Truly an amazing place to stay. Starting by the quiet and peaceful location, easy access, great pool and spacious common areas that make you feel at home. The rooms are spotless and bed incredibly confortable. All you need for a perfect vacation. The staff that welcomed us and the booking managers prior to our arrival were helpful, kind, flexible and spoke Spanish and English perfectly. Breakfast with fresh breads and fruit!! also complementary coffee and tea at night. We are definitively coming back!

We had a very nice stay at Refugio do Monte. The location is very peaceful and surrounded by nature. Everything is clean and of good taste. Breakfast was very fresh and good, and the staff is lovely as well. I fully recommend for a restful stay and if you want to travel around the natural parc!

This is the best place I have ever stayed. Wonderful, wonderful public spaces. Quiet, spotless, what a fantastic place to get some rest. A few kilometers from a bundle of different beaches. Close to town. We stayed five days.

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst walking the coast path. Very peaceful but a bit isolated. Stayed in one of their 2 junior suites which were finished to a high standard, spotless and very comfortable. 2 ladies were brilliant although neither spoke English. This wasn't a problem though. Great breakfast, coffee and wine (10euro) available all the time and you can chill your own drinks if you so please. Of the two places we stayed in I would definitely come back here again. Prior to our arrival I did receive a call from the English speaking owner asking if there was anything we needed. all in all a lovely stay.

Wonderful guest house and very friendly and helpful staff. Remote, peaceful and beautiful location at the end of a dirt road. About 15 minutes drive from beaches and restaurants. Very clean rooms and excellent breakfast. Free water, coffee available throughout the day.||||Standard rooms are small, small shower cabin. The beds are a bit hard.

We only had two nights here tacked on to the start of our usual portugal road trip, and what a great way to start the holiday!||||Firstly, the owner of the hotel rang me while we were enroute from Spain to enquire when we would arrive, and whether we needed any directions. Very professional and very helpful.||||When we arrived at the hotel, which is approached by a couple of kilometres of gravel road with amazing views, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and his wife and given some useful information about the area, places to visit etc.||||Our junior suite room was lovely, well furnished, and led directly out onto the pool. The sofa bed had been made up for our daughter. Perfect. The place was scrupulously clean, the pool area was great to chill out with lovely forest views. It was very chilled out, and seemed to be favoured by families.||||Breakfast was buffet style, but they also offered to cook eggs, but to be honest there was cereal, yoghurts, great cakes, breads and homemade jams. There was also a fridge for guests to use in the breakfast area and free tea and coffee for guests.||||The nearest beach was a Zambujeira do Mar which was about 20 minutes away by car. Vila Nova deMilfontes was not much further. ||||We all loved this area and this hotel, and had already booked a return by the time we left 2 days later. ||||Highly recommended.

Beautiful place to stay if you like small and personal hotels. The rooms are small but there are many places to enjoy the beautiful interior or portuguese landscape within the hotel.|Nice pool with mountain view. You get towels from the hotel.|Coffee and beer is for free. The breakfast is incredible.

Very quite and with breathless views over Alentejo countryside. The staff with 2 special ladies prepare a complete breakfast full of fruits , bread and Portuguese bakery. The swimming pool is perfect after a good day at the beach (Odeceixe, Zambujeira do Mar, or Carvalhal). Please don't spread the worth to keep this a unique and priceless experience.
