Regent Beijing

"This glass-fronted high-rise is a 15-minute walk from Tiananmen Square. Interiors meld classic and contemporary styles, and the spacious rooms are decorated with Chinese art, large windows for views of the Forbidden City, and soaking tubs. Daccapo's Italian fare is an alternative to the modern Asian cuisine at Jinbao 99."

Regent Beijing (Beijing, China) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Beijing is placing big bets on the future, with a wealth of high-profile building projects — Herzog & de Meuron’s Olympic Stadium and the Rem Koolhaas-designed CCTV tower, a new mammoth airport terminal by Norman Foster, and many more. And in advance of the expected surge in travel demand, some big hotel projects have opened as well, including this one, the 500-room Regent Beijing." - Tablet Hotels

We spent 6 days at the Regent Beijing last month. The hotel is fantastic. Our room was on a high floor, spacious, modern, and with stunning views. We had also booked access to the Club and, once again, everything was excellent: the atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and the service from the entire staff. But there was something that made all the difference in our stay at this hotel: the concierge service. I don't remember anything like it, not even in other five-star hotels we've stayed in. The difference was Yina, with her cordiality, her good humor, and, in addition, her vast knowledge of every corner of the capital and always with great tips on where to go, where to shop, where to eat, and how to do everything. Even before arriving at the hotel, I had already received valuable tips. Thank you, Yina, your service made our experience in Beijing exceed our expectations.

Regent Hotel in Beijing.|Around 1hr+ car ride away from PKX (Beijing Daxing Airport), it may vary with traffic condition. It was Ok, we slept in the car.||Check in by a kind lady who spoke better English than I do, her name is Helen Sun (they usually have an English name so to make it easier for foreigners).||Although an ihg Diamond, we were very pleasantly surprised as we did not expect an upgrade to the room category. We were lucky and Helen was very kind.||Got a huge room, a Suite actually. Yes while the hotel is dated, it is very well maintained. New is not always good, I find. Not necessarily.||Iron, iron board, mini bar (1 time complimentary). Doesn’t matter as we had access to Club. Shoe brush. Shoe horn, very handy item to have. Tea. Coffee. Desk with pen and paper pad. 2 toilets in our room ( a full one with toilet bowl, double sink, stand in shower, huge bath tub, Tv and a small one with a sink and toilet to poo).||Went out for food. Lots of restaurant within walking distance 5-15min walk. Came back and found the room to be too warm, uncomfortably warm. ||Went up to Club at 17th Floor. Rooms Division Manager Ms Kelly Wang (王倩女士) listened to me and assisted us. We were then allocated another room which made us very happy. Mrs gave a thumb 👍🏼 up. ||Room: spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, good supportive pillows (even has a pillow menu), bedsheet silky smooth and temp control was just right. Happy happy customers in 731 (from 938). Thank you Kelly.||Toilet, huge. Amenities provided, all good quality but we are used to using our own toothbrush, toothpaste, body shampoo, body lotion.||Location: good. 10-15min easy walk to Wangfujing area.||Lift/Elevators: good. We never had to wait for a long time.||Club on 17th floor (the bottom floor is 1st floor, in the UK it would be Ground floor). We had lovely time there, breakfast was good. Ala Carte menu and buffet available. Afternoon tea set was repetitive, we ordered one set only for 2 of us. Evening cocktails was good, with hot food. Food varies a bit.||Concierge, bell boys all helpful. Language barrier? Yes. But no problem. Translation app is there, we used google translate, no issue. Baidu better, but my google also good.||We had a late check out which was really good for us. Again Kelly assured us that we could continue to enjoy the Club lounge after our check out and lady staff Sara also made us felt welcome. In fact, I would say all the lady staff there was very kind. Sorry cannot remember all your names. Paiseh (see who would understand this word, don’t think anyone in China would. Taiwanese would, for sure). ||Did we enjoy our stay? Yes indeed.||Will we return? Yes, Mrs already planned a trip next year 2026.||Is it expensive? No it is definitely not expensive but it is costly. We pay for quality and we don’t mind at the slightest.||Do we recommend Regent Beijing to our friends and family? Yes, Wholeheartedly, without a doubt.

I stayed at the Regent Beijing with my family and our two children, and it was an outstanding experience. The food was absolutely excellent – authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. The service from the staff in the rooms was consistently attentive, professional, and warm. We also appreciated the support and assistance throughout the hotel, which made everything effortless for us. As a family, we especially enjoyed the pool, which was a real highlight for the kids and a great way to relax after exploring the city. Overall, a perfect stay – highly recommended for both families and individual travelers! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A fantastic stay! Location is close to a lot of major tourist sites and in an easy to find, safe area. The service is very good throughout the hotel. Breakfast buffet was also varied and had both western and chinese options, with vegetarian options as well. Overall, most staff speak enough English that there were no major difficulties and we found them to be very eager to help. We particularly enjoyed the on-site Italian restaurant with good quality food and service. The rooms are very well maintained and up to the standard of a typical 5 star hotel. The location is also very convenient for the metro, which has station right next to the hotel entrance.

As a loyal IHG and Regent guest with positive experiences at other properties like the one in Phu Quoc, I had high hopes for the Regent Beijing. For the most part, the hotel met expectations: the room was well-appointed and the service was generally good. However, a critical issue made my 4-night stay deeply uncomfortable: the air conditioning. The AC is locked at a stifling 25°C (77°F), which is far too warm for a restful night's sleep. Despite calling the front desk, we were informed the temperature was non-negotiable and were only offered the solution of opening our windows. This was completely inadequate. We spent each night sweating, desperately trying to find relief, and subsequently woke up drenched and exhausted. For a hotel of this caliber, the lack of climate control is a significant failure. I cannot recommend staying here until this policy is changed, as it fundamentally undermines an otherwise quality experience.

We chose this hotel primarily for its location. And it did not disappoints. It's situated within walking distance of the main attraction. Shopping districts and great restaurant. Being so close to the subway station was also a huge plus for visiting sights further away.

The check in experience is worth every penny ! The hotel’s service is its biggest bright spot . Every staff member is smiling and proactive . We asked the front seat for directions and they patiently gave us very professional advice . Rooms service is responsive and minibar replenishes in a timely manner . This kind of meticulous care , let us feel at home . Highly recommend!
