Regent Hotel

A pleasant 3 star hotel in the heart of Colaba - a very convenient location. The rooms were comfortable and clean with good air conditioning. The small lobby features a couch and chairs which are well occupied by congenial guests who avail themselves of the carafes of Arabic tea and coffee provided. Although breakfast was included in the room rate, the only disappointment was that the hotel breakfast only offered a choice of items from an ala carte listing and did not feature an Indian buffet as do many other hotels. |We checked into this hotel twice in the course of our travels and found that the rooms were not always fully provisioned at check in (no hand towels on one occasion, for example). But the service staff were able to promptly and cheerfully fulfill our requests and things were quickly made right.|The best thing about this hotel is the staff. You will never find a more hospitable and welcoming staff. The front desk staff make you feel welcome from the moment of arrival to the moment of departure. They are kind, competent, and caring people who know the meaning of hospitality with fluency in multiple languages making communication seamless and reliable.

Restaurant in the hotel was nice and cozy, and they had lots of tasty food to choose from. The people who worked at the hotel were really nice and always ready to help, so it felt like being at home. The hotel was in a great spot, making it easy to go see nearby places and get around. Basically, it's a great place to stay if you're traveling.

Regent Hotel.. I had a great experience. The location was perfect for my needs - it was adjacent to the gateway of India. The hotel itself was modern and well-maintained, with a clean and spacious lobby area. It was a great stay. Everything was well-equipped, and special care is taken for hygiene... Highly Recommended

Location is best part. Everything you want to see with family is near. The building is old but fairly well maintained. There was small insects and 🪳 in Room. A periodic pest control would help. We had triple bed and it was fairly comfy. Bathrooms are small and very less ventilation. having said that it is neatly maintained. Limited breakfast option and very good staff.

Terrible experience. They put me in a windowless room that doesn’t deserve to be one. With very high room noise from thin walls and people talking loudly in the lobby, dirty newspaper patching the walls. Also bright light coming in from some frosted glass in the back. Parts of the room weren’t cleaned properly and I had to inform reception several times before it was resolved. Highly regret staying here.

You book a hotel room for 6k and arrive at the hotel only to get treated like homeless people looking for free shelter. This is as polite as I can put my experience at this shabby hotel. I booked the hotel on Agoda and they told me in my face that since Agoda takes commission, they can allot only the worst rooms in the ground floor and that too only one room was available for against our booking of 2 rooms. We had to adjust as it was a prepaid booking and we already wasted lot of time talking to the morons at the reception. Amenities like dental kits, combs were not provided even upon request. Their kettle and refrigerator could make you septic. Service has a 50% success rate. You have to ask multiple times for them to attend to your request. We were not even provided water even after requesting many times and later I myself went and collected water bottles on my own. Restaurant is a makeshift setup in the corridor, in front of rooms. There also the staff doesn't bother to serve you. Zero respect for customer privacy. They offered to show an already occupied room while customers were outside. I even saw staff randomly peeping and walking into rooms, including mine, with master keys. One of our rooms were alloted near reception and some staff always sat near the door. Location is their only pro, situated close to Gateway of India. Everything else are big red flags. Overall, our one night stay was a nightmare and a very humiliating experience.
