The people working here are great! i was here in the Christmas season and i had a great time. The rooms were always tidy and cleaned, the breakfast is lovely and the staff is always up for a good chat! you can ask or look up information about Jamaica and what to do in the hostel. They have a big and great backyard with a bar, couches, benches and a hammock. Planning to go again this year

Nice hostel, with a nice vibe, and great personnel. Get up early to get breakfast before it is gone though and when they cook the portions are a bit stingy... and be aware of your belongings, somebody helped themselves to a pack of my cigars from Cuba 😡 though not the hostels fault and not taking away any rating.

Terrible location in a sketchy neighborhood. Many people have gotten robbed walking back to the hostel. Water didn’t work two of the three days we were there so no access to showers or toilet. The exchange rate they use is OUTRAGEOUS. About 15JD more than every other hostel we booked at. Was told wrong directions to get to treasure beach by one of ladies in the front desk. Breakfast was said to be included when we booked through their website but then when it was cooked in the morning they wanted 700 JD for a very small portion. Theirs no way I’d recommend this hostel to anyone. Save yourself the time and money and book elsewhere.

Amazing! Such a great place. They are constantly playing reggae music on the sound systems which creates an authentic Jamaican vibe. It's cheap and the whole place is constantly clean. And the staff are awesome. Shout out to Gilly, Nikki, Simi, Stacy, TJ and everyone else who works here. One Love <3

I stayed at the Reggae Hostel in Kingston for about 2 weeks to do some work. This was my 2nd time coming back to Reggae hostel and it was just as good if not better. Reggae Hostel is a very comfortable place to stay. The staff do their absolute best to keep their establishment to a high standard. The rooms, washrooms and kitchen are maintained on a daily basis which made me feel very comfortable and very at ease about sharing a washroom with other travelers from around the world. This was very important for me!!! Understand that you will be sharing a washroom and a kitchen with groups of people so also pack some patience. Despite a very very sour guest who threatened to write a bad review I am here to assure you that Reggae hostel is an amazing place to stay when your in Kingston where you find comfort from Nikki and her amazing staff and volunteers and also security. Blessed Love and Respect to all the hardworking staff. They are perfect examples of what the Jamaican spirit represents being so full of niceness, hardworking, and great energy. Thank you Reggae Hostel Kingston for making me feel at home. Once again Blessed Love and Respect to the whole staff! Until next time Family! Bless Up!!!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at the Reggae Hostel. We would come back again for sure. We got a private room with a giant bed and our own bathroom. There was a great lounge in the middle that had an outside bar. All the staff and guest were friendly and willing to help with questions. The one reggae club -Dub Club- we had planned to go to was already coordinated with transportation and everything. It was perfect. Also, we walked everywhere from the hostel; so the location was good as well.

Enjoyed my stay here . Stayed here for a week and it was super fun and enjoyable. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Located in a safe neighborhood that is pretty close to downtown areas. Once I go to Kingston again, I would to stay again.
