Embark on an adventurous hike through the breathtaking Mayfield River, where you'll trek through lush nature and swim beneath stunning waterfalls, all while guided by friendly locals.
"Mayfield River Hike and Falls The hike up the Mayfield River to the waterfall nicknamed the Washing Machine requires walking in the river itself at times, and at one point, swimming through a tunnel. Along the way, you'll be surrounded by lush fern trees and bamboo. You'll need water shoes, a swimsuit, and a sense of adventure to take part in this, one of the best ways to see Jamaica 's verdant interior. The trailhed is an hour's drive from from Negril, and you'll find lockers and a small restaurant there. Guides are always on hand to show you the way—you won't make it without them, they know all the right places to place your foot. (Be generous with your tips—they may be having a great time, but this is their job.) The reward at the end of your hike? Two waterfalls. Swim underneath and feel the refreshing force of nature."

As a local- this place is a bit of a rip off. It's a beautiful property & the guides are quite knowledgeable & helpful but since we didn't go through a tour operator we found out lots of things when we got there. We had to rent a locker to keep our stuff in for $700 (And the hike back to the car was about 3 miles up a steep hill so that wasn't an option), we had to rent shoes for $800, along with an entrance fee of $900. When I did a bit if research before I saw where there was a restaurant on property but you had to order your food ahead (which we never saw mention of) so was no good to us. So all in all, carry EVERYTHING YOU could possibly need- food, drinks & your own shoes & travel as light as possible so you don't need a locker. From Montego Bay Google maps said 1 hour & 7 mins but based on the state of the road we ended up taking almost 2 hours & the route Google recommended was totally wrong, we had to.ask for directions as we went along & we still got lost!

One of the realest attractions to get a true feel of being in a rainforest with fantastic river activities. As if being out there in raw nature isn't good enough, they have some of the best homestlye Jamaican cooking (grandma style). Just be prepared to burn off quite a few calories on that 94 step climb up the Everest of a pathway to get u back to your bus.
PS. It's really a hike getting to n from the Falls general park area.
Definitely worth the see!!! 👍

Secluded Falls with friendly local tour. The whole hike is about an hr. Not a typical crowded tour spot. Amazing energy and view.

It's okay.... They charge $20 US to visit reather you need a guide or not. You could swim in the same River for free if you don't go all the way up to the fall. Which are not as incredible as I hoped.
