Regina Maria Spa Design Hotel

A very good hotel. The location is excellent, right next to the castle and by the seaside. The view from the rooms is absolutely superb. You wake up in the morning and all you see in front of your eyes is the sea. Wonderful. The food is good, the service is good, and the staff are hospitable and kind. The indoor pool has heated water, and the SPA/sauna area is superb. The only negative aspect (valid only in winter): the hotel is heated using air conditioning units, which means the air becomes very dry, especially at night. The bathroom is cold, with no heating at all. In the common areas (lobby/restaurant) it is also quite cold. Otherwise, everything is wonderful. I will return for this extraordinary view.

We stayed here for 1 night in October 2025. Location is super convenient for visiting Balchik, and the staff at the reception and breakfast area were super nice. We got a room with a direct view to the sea, we drank our coffee there watching the sunrise and slept with the window open listening to the waves. We had an excellent sleep here. Thank you for everything!

The location of the restaurant attracted is, but we were very disappointed from the quality of the food - beef with shrimps. The service neglected our complaint and even showed it was normal to serve in badly washed cups.

We stayed at Regina Maria Hotel in Balchik and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel itself is a bit old, but very clean and well maintained. We were lucky to get a beautiful sea view room without any extra charge – the view was truly the highlight of our stay. The staff at reception were very kind and helpful, speaking Romanian, English, and Bulgarian, which made communication easy. Another big plus was the restaurant: they serve the best espresso I’ve had in a hotel, really worth mentioning! While I wouldn’t rate it 4 stars due to the age of the hotel, it’s definitely a solid 3-star stay with excellent service, great coffee, and unforgettable sea views. Definitely recommend for a quiet and relaxing holiday.

Amazing food! I was quite skeptical about getting good food in Balchik in February being out of season, but this place proved me very wrong

Superior Quality Hotel. The amenities are excellent. The surroundings in town need a lot attention. Hopefully the magistrat can bring up the town.

Although I have travelled to many lovely places, this is my favourite hotel. It has the privilege of being situated next to Queen Maria' s castle and garden. Every room has an incredible sea view and a great design. The food is tasty (the restaurant is very elegant) and the staff friendly and helpful.
