Regina Maria Spa Design Hotel

We stayed here for 1 night in October 2025. Location is super convenient for visiting Balchik, and the staff at the reception and breakfast area were super nice. We got a room with a direct view to the sea, we drank our coffee there watching the sunrise and slept with the window open listening to the waves. We had an excellent sleep here. Thank you for everything!

We stayed at Regina Maria Hotel in Balchik and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel itself is a bit old, but very clean and well maintained. We were lucky to get a beautiful sea view room without any extra charge – the view was truly the highlight of our stay. The staff at reception were very kind and helpful, speaking Romanian, English, and Bulgarian, which made communication easy. Another big plus was the restaurant: they serve the best espresso I’ve had in a hotel, really worth mentioning! While I wouldn’t rate it 4 stars due to the age of the hotel, it’s definitely a solid 3-star stay with excellent service, great coffee, and unforgettable sea views. Definitely recommend for a quiet and relaxing holiday.

Although I have travelled to many lovely places, this is my favourite hotel. It has the privilege of being situated next to Queen Maria' s castle and garden. Every room has an incredible sea view and a great design. The food is tasty (the restaurant is very elegant) and the staff friendly and helpful.

Superior Quality Hotel. The amenities are excellent. The surroundings in town need a lot attention. Hopefully the magistrat can bring up the town.

I'm going to break down my review, as follows 1.staff-5stars. Super nice, polite, helpful, from the nice ladies in the reception, to the wonderful gentleman running the restaurant, to the lady in the spa section and the massage therapists. All super. 2. Services-great. Was amazing to have sauna, steam room, massage and in door pool. Very good service. 3. My room, Arabian studio, was great. Super spacey, bathtub in the room, sea view, big balcony to the sea. Amazing. 4. Location-5*, you cannot get it better near the Palace, free parking, sea at 10m. 5. The only Item i count with 3* is the cleaness and attention to the small details that note the hotel is quite old and needs a retouch. It was a great package, price vs quality (and I stayde 5 nights) but still, windows clean, carpet issues, toilets were 1*because of stains. Those kind of things can lead you to rooms quality 2*. Can definetly do it better. All in all good package for the prices.

I did not stay at the hotel, the review is for the massage therapist, which is one of the best i ever met. The therapies are very good and it is totally worth it.

I ate the best eggplant salad here. Dishes are good and service the same. Didn't stay at the hotel because everytime when I was in Balchik was a day trip, but I take in consideration to stay few days here in the future as the view offered by the hotel is awesome (it is in the front of the Black sea) and, also, it has a nice spa.
