Museum is unique with history and 1600-1700 gallery and paintings upstairs. Walk in the wood floor in the art gallery. Everyone will hear you coming. I really enjoyed the courtyard while sitting upstairs on the old benches. I had the entire museum and courtyard to myself.

Came for the food, stayed for the flavors! El Pilón de los Arrieros serves Mexican dishes so authentic, you’ll forget you’re a tourist. Delicious, hearty, and unforgettable. 🌮🇲🇽

The regional museum of Guadalajara is an excellent place to come and spend an afternoon as there is a lot to see and learn. The museum has a main focus of showcasing the history of the state of Jalisco but also the history of the city of Guadalajara. Everything from the ancient people who inhabited the area and the findings of their bones and artifacts to the history of the building used for the museum. They had a rather wide variety of exhibits located throughout the museum but I liked this as there was something different to learn about in each exhibit. Even if you don’t want to read the description of each and every item, simply observing the contents of the different sections is entertaining enough. I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you come to this museum.

Absolutely wonderful experience embracing prehistoric and 19th century artifacts many talented Mexican artist. And an entire wholly mammoth structure that's the most impressive exhibit iny opinion.

It was free entry during my visit. However, most of the sections were closed off. Still, I think its worth the visit if you are already at Guadarajara Plaza.

Loved it. Lovely interior of the building with a historic courtyard. The items were all labeled and there were lots of explanations. Was there about 2 hours. Very nice staff. Well worth a visit

Would spend no more than 2 hours here, lots of rooms, some of them locked. What attracted me to the place as I assume is the case with a lot of others was the skeleton of the woolly mammoth. If you’re only coming here to see that, it does not disappoint. It’s amazing how well preserved this specimen is. The tusks on the skeleton are almost unbelievably large.

Yelp
This museum looks so unassuming from the outside but is exceptional. There is so much to see! They have everything from beautiful historic paintings to a life-size mammoth skeleton. Keep your Google Translate handy since all the signs are in Spanish. You can easily spend half a day or more in this fantastic museum. Two thumbs way up.

Yelp
cute museum although it is missing some artifacts and things to see. I wish there was more but what is there is very interesting and fun to look at
