I just had the best experience with Terri for a backpack fitting. I brought in my old backpack (purchased from REI 10 years ago) filled with items taking on Camino walk. Terri showed me how and what straps to adjust for a proper fit. Also provided tips for best loading of pack and why to try and keep items vertical. What a difference it made in comfort. Just another reason why I love REI!

It’s so great to have a place to see and try on clothing! The staff are super helpful in finding styles and sizes. They know the products well.

Google
Thank you Michael and Carrie for helping me on May 30th to purchase a sleeping bag, backpack, and a few other items. Both we extremely kind, knowledgeable and patient with me... and I greatly appreciate that. Carrie is evidently a new member of their staff, and they are very lucky to have her.

Google
I have often went to REI for inspiration, and it’s one of the few places you can go where you know ALL the staff are passionate about the outdoors. So much equipment, so many possibilities. I love everything about this store and it makes me want to make camping part of my future.

Tyler Voss

Google
I've been a member for over 10 years and unlinked my account today. I purchased a nice pair of Birks for $150, they cracked within 3 months of minimal wear. I'm talking I wore these to the beach a few times and walked my dog around town; nobody is hiking in these, that would be absurd. Customer service was insanely rude, refused to help in any way, and cited "too many miles on the shoes". My family loves to get outside, and we'll be going elsewhere for our needs in the future.

Pat Mann

Google
Excellent quality merchandise including REI store brands. Limited range of brands available, doesn’t include cheaply made bargain brands. Excellent service help from very knowledgeable staff as a rule. Annual discount rebate for members, good seasonal sales. Generally our first stop when seeking outdoor activity merchandise wherever we are in the US.

Jeremy Lofthouse

Google
The staff here are particularly helpful in accommodating your needs. Just today, Bridger tested out some returned water reservoirs to determine if they did indeed have leaks as reported. While one did, another was in perfect condition so I scored a deal on this returned piece of gear. Filling something up w water to check if it has a leak is a bit of an ask, I’ll admit, but the team at REI insisted I get the question answered. I’ve visited other times and have had similar experiences. Best REI I’ve frequented by far.

Google
I want to like REI, this is the only location that I’ve been to and I’m not impressed, some employees are helpful, but most are snobby and disinterested. Additionally once I have told you three times that I’m not interested in buying the lifetime membership stop trying to upsell it, I’m sure that it’s a great deal but…

Yelp
Here to look for black travel pants for me Lightweight. I hope we have choices. Two floors of shopping here

Yelp
Friendly and knowledgeable service. Great selection of gear. Shout out to saleswoman Terri, who not only helped us with selections, but also advised us on where to hike and eat in the area.

Yelp
I had a challenging return and Kory helped me out today. He is very confident and affirming in his communication. He also helped me set up my membership a couple of months and was just as helpful. The store's selection is fine and always lots of regular and membership sales. Kory is just really dope.

Yelp
We've been an REI member for many years. This location is tucked behind Tucson Mall, not attached. We didn't find the shoes we wanted, they did not have our size, but service and cleanliness with up to REI standards.

Yelp
I used to tell my friends to bring their e-bikes to REI for friendly service without attitude. But after my last visit, I'm gonna have to reverse out of that. Wow, are they ever in a bad mood these days. So I brought my bike over without calling first and sure enough, the certified bike tech had called out sick. I was annoyed but told the Manager guy in the bike area that I'd come back next week. He said oh that's not necessary, we can just have someone else work on it. it won't be a certified tech but our sales people are kind of trained to work on bikes. Ha ha ha. I don't think so. I said it's OK, I'll come back next week when the certified tech is there. He retorted - I can't guarantee you He's gonna work on your bike even if he's here. We like to let her other guys get training and they may as well be the ones working on your bike that day. I can't describe the seething attitude that accompanied Those words ....except to say, he was pissed off at his own employee for calling out sick and he totally took it out on me, the customer. Lol. Sorry I paid for the membership because aside from the bike shop, everything else they sell is hideously overpriced, and available online for a fraction of the cost. See ya later REI.

Yelp
This is the only REI in town - so if you need an REI, this is the one for you. I do love REI as a company because their return policy for members cannot be beat and the membership price is very affordable. Because this is the only REI in town, sometimes it can get very busy! Be aware you might have a long wait if someone is returning something or making a large purchase. But they have everything you need for your next trip outdoors and the staff is always helpful if you have a question!

Yelp
Now I remember why REI is our absolute FAVE gear store of all time. The management staffs the store with AMAZING people like Paul in the shoe dept and Korey in the trenches at the front registers. Yes, they have EVERYTHING a hiker, climber, kayaker, runner, camper and cyclist could ever dream of but the PEOPLE make all the difference. Just be prepared as you scale the stairs to the 2nd floor, your award awaits: An informative sign that states, "You have just climbed the equivalent of 0.0006% of the summit of Mt Everest" Pretty cool peeps eh? Thanks again Korey and Paul!

Yelp
Top rated service, prices and well stocked shelfs raise the power of REI. I haven't had a bad experience in any store so I expect it every time I visit and I'm not disappointed.

Yelp
The staff I dealt with personally was nice, but upon exiting the upstairs to go downstairs, I could see them talking on their walkie-talkies, One of the employees started blocking the door whenever I was coming down the steps I found that interesting. Nonetheless I won't be coming back here again.

Yelp
Went to REI to get a gravel bike and was assisted by Jeff and Scott. Both of them were super patient, kind, and honest about what they thought was the best bike for me based on what I told them I was going to use it for. Went for my first ride today and.. it was an incredible one. Beyond satisfied. Cheers gang.

Yelp
Zeno up in footwear will take good care of you. Very patient and professional. Often you feel like shoe sales people roll their eyes when you ask them to go get yet another pair or a different size... but he was great, he's there to work and to take care of the customer.

Yelp
Good assortment of stuff for cycling and running, though it tends to be on the pricier side. That's great if you're shopping for something more expensive, but if you need something cheaper it can be hard to find things on your budget. Smaller items (bike tubes, sport gels, wool socks, etc.) tend to be of average price. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy, which I appreciate. The "garage sale" section of returned gear is a fun treasure hunt! I've gotten several pairs of bike shoes that people bought, used a couple of times, and returned, and saved a bundle in the process.

Yelp
Well, this was a toss up for me to review, I've been an REI member/fan for at least 12 years. Since my initial encounter as a customer, it had always made a favorable impression on me, till lately. It started a few months ago when I ordered a mountain bike, a Salsa Rangefinder, from their warehouse in another State. That whole ordering and processing issue was a nightmare, it was charged through Affirm, long story short they didn't know how to process the virtual card, they canceled the funds, I had to reapply, then the story gets worse, spoke to at least 5 people, both from the Tucson store and corporate, awful. After getting it finally done they still didn't do the total canceling of the card, and it showed up as being in the process mode for over three weeks till I advised them on what they needed to do....wheeeooo Now, in one of those people in the conversation was one of the young ladies at the Tucson store, that was very rude, no customer service skills. Today I believe I dealt with two of those gals, since they are the ones in the bike department, but I'm not 100 percent, but they also had no customer service skills. I had ordered a pair of new tires for my Trek, schwalbe marathon plus, since they are known to hardly ever get flats, anyway.... They arrived after being 4 days late, they sent me a notice, I responded by telling them I would bring my bike in, today Friday, May 13, and I made sure I was the first one at the door 15 minutes before opening. I had asked them if I needed an appointment, whoever responded by phone told me no, just come in when the tires arrive and we will install, free of charge if your a member, which I am. I came in, first one through the door and first to the bike service area. I told her about my order, she showed me the box, then we decided to also install new tubes with the white liquid that is supposed to reseal itself. I also bought a new saddle, and had them fix the handlebar tape, part was slipping from place, a ten minute job. She said I will text you when we are done, she said it would be two hrs, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Ok, I spent over two hrs in the store, finally went over by the bike area, the young lady was busy running around here and there, but never acknowledged me being there, meanwhile a young man saw me standing there, asked if I was there to pick up a bike , I said yes, then the sam young lady came out with my bike, I noticed the new tires where not installed, I said where are my tires, she responded, oh did you want your old tires also???? Well, the old tires are still on the bike, and you didn't install my new ones, after almost 2.5 hrs. She looked bewildered, took the bike, didn't apologize, the fact that I had been there over two hrs. She had the other young lady put my new tires on, and since I had not been text, or they hadn't installed my new tires, the reason for being there, I inquired as to why I had been there , now from 10 till 12:30, she got a little snippy and told me that retapping takes a while, and the bike seat, blah, blah.., the tapping was partial, the saddle takes ten minutes, I've replaced many, and they put new tubes on the old tires, maybe 30 minutes , such a simple job took almost three hrs, and not once did any of them apologize, this is not the REI I remember... From now on I will take my bike elsewhere, I still had to pay for the saddle installed and the partial retapping and install of the new tubes, $128.00, plus I just bought a pair of Ortlieb paniers for $200. If they don't need my business, I will take it somewhere else.

Yelp
Is there a reason why this REI holds zero classes? I was hoping for a bicycle safety kind of class or a bike repair class for my friend's kids, but there isn't anything at this REi on the website which seems odd to me? Can we get some classes going? Climbing? Bicycling? Desert Survival class?

Yelp
Store merchandise is great...unfortunately service from Jessica and manager Steven from Tucson location is horrible. Never purchasing from that store again. Be care ful in giving him a complain about a bad service representative because he becomes aggressive. Left store without the things I needed .... manager Steven came out of store just followed us to continue being aggressive raised his voice until I told him a manager should never raise his voice at a customer all I needed was maybe an apology or that he would talk to rep so it wouldn't happen again. It was a horrible experience that no one should go through.

Yelp
Wanted to share my experience today at my local REI store. What a wonderful experience working with Craig in the bicycle department. My wife and I picked out a bicycle, Craig went over the bike in great deal making sure it was the right one for us. Then I was able to demonstrate it for myself within the store. While he was sharing more information about the Ghost model bike.. We enjoyed our experience immensely with the help of Craig. He made our time there worth enjoyable.

Yelp
My daughter purchased some shoes from the clearance section (no returns accepted) for $40. When returning home noticed that they had been pre chewed on by someone's dog. Now they are unusable. Selling usable items is the purpose of this store. They failed at their purpose.

Yelp
I loathe shopping. Loathe. It. I made myself come to Tucson without my old nonfunctional hiking boots as a way to force myself to buy new ones. Ha! Mitchell was an excellent help! I never had someone care so much about the comfort of my feet. He was super patient and helped me try on multiple brands and sizes until we got just the right one. He helped me figure out that I have likely been wearing the wrong size hiking shoes my entire adult life. No wonder I have issues with my big toes. Wow! The pair he recommended to me in the first place ended up being the pair I went with too. The entire staff were super helpful, patient, informative, and friendly. Maybe it's an Arizona thing? Whatever the case this New Yorker is over the top happy with her new Obōz hiking sneakers! Cheers!

Yelp
While it was not the largest and most impressive REI I have been in, I thought it was very nice for the Tucson marketplace. The staff was super friendly and helpful wherever I went. The store was very clean and they were taking appropriate precautions for COVID-19. I had to make a return from an online order and did not wait long. And everybody was practicing common sense and social distancing while I was in the store. I would consider returning to REI in Tucson if I need outdoor equipment or gear. I'm super happy that we have places like this in the area.
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
We stopped in today to get bike tubes because one of our bikes picked up cactus thorn in both tires. The salesman took us right to the bike tube display and helped select the right size. The one we picked was one he recommended with a sealing gel in the tube. While there we also picked up a wire rope with a combination lock that can hang under the seat. Great products, great service. It's a good thing!

Yelp
REI is really a blast to go shopping at. It has about everything under the sun to go play in the sun. I could spend a lot of time just looking at things here. The problem I have with REI is that it is expensive. I found some items that I purchased on Amazon for significantly cheaper. An example is my Topeak trunk/pannier system for my bike that I purchased for $99 on Amazon and it was $130 at REI. Whew! That's quite a difference. There were other price disparities, too. What seems to be a good buy for the money is there own branded items. Great quality for a reasonable price and lower than their brand name prices.

Yelp
I've been shopping at the Tucson REI for 6 years now, since I moved here. As a point of reference, I moved here from Minneapolis so my expectations were set by the big REI store there. I also shop at Summit Hut for specialty items. Compared to the other REI's I've been too, this one is smaller, with less selection of merchandise. Tucson is a smaller market, so not a shocker. I've always been able to find the things I've been looking for, but I do find it useful to look it up online first to make sure the Tucson store has it in stock. One of my big beefs is they are *constantly* moving stuff around in the store. It's a pain to find anything, because it's never where you remembered it to be the last time you were there. Also, for some reason it seems like when I don't need anyone the help is constantly pestering me to ask if I need help, but when I do need help there's nobody around. The worst part of shopping here is the parking. If you leave your car in the lot above the store, you have to walk down and up those !@#$%^&* steps that are way too small for one step. If you park in the lower lot, you have to walk a 1/2 mile past all the cars that are there for the Cheesecake Factory. I sometimes will pick up something at Summit Hut just because I don't want to deal with the horrible parking at REI, and getting in/out of the Tucson Mall. There are certain things I *always* buy at REI: Sahara Convertible pants, stoves/fuel, water treatment, dry bags, trekking poles and hiking shoes. The latter despite the fact that the boot fitters at Summit Hut are far better informed. They have me hooked with the no-fee REI Mastercard and the inevitable dividends - I always end up using my dividend to buy clothing for the family. Some of their new "REI Co-op" branded clothing is pretty good -- if you are looking for a reasonable down puffy, check 'em out -- we bought two for Christmas presents this year. Overall: Summit Hut for the brands they carry, best boot selection and fitting. REI for everything else.

Yelp
Hiking boots: they do it right. Thanks guys! Extremely knowledgeable in hiking boots. Thanks for taking the time. I didn't feel rushed. Happy trails.

Sarah T.

Yelp
I do appreciate how COVID-friendly everyone was. I felt very safe. However, the employee I made a return with was rude for no apparent reason. Said I used the watch that I never opened when I already mentioned it was a Christmas gift for my boss. I felt like I was being judged for returning something and buying it again when it was $100 cheaper. I mean, $100 is a lot of money. Why would I not return something I never used and rebuy it to save that for my family? Weird vibe off the customer service staff member. So I guess you should just hope you get a nicer one? My second time through the line, I had a very nice guy.

Jodi G.

Yelp
Being an REI member for eons, I can always appreciate the great customer service, and in this Tucson store, that service continues. A shout out to Mr Jacob in hiking gear! I never knew the 101 things about the proper backpack... adjusting, etc! You made my day! I wish I would have walked out of there with the pack I fell in love with but the price wasn't right...even on a Labor Day weekend! Hint: REI... your $$ are still high and your in store sales don't reflect the online sales. Kinda misleading wouldn't you agree?

J S.

Yelp
We love going to REI and being a member is great. Staff are always so friendly, knowledgeable and professional, but it was topped today when we needed assistance with our bicycles and Miles helped us. He was the most amazing and we are truly grateful for his assistance today. Thank YOU, Miles!

Jonathon C.

Yelp
I've shopped at REI for years but this location has extremely rude customer service and overall I've noticed the prices trending towards excessively overpriced.
google avatar

Jon R.

Yelp
Let me give you the TL;DR version. Great Selection, The highest quality outdoor goods, competitive prices, unbeatable return policy, Knowledgeable and experienced staff, outstanding customer service Semi-Annual "Garage sale' for members. REI is the perfect store for the outdoorsy type who just wants to be in tune with nature. They have an excellent selection of quality camping and backpacking gear at competitive prices. Keyword is quality their stuff is built to last and their return policy for members reflects that. The only thing REI is lacking is a market for hunters/fishers.
google avatar

Franklin M.

Yelp
This is not a bad store for an REI. I had some last minute preparations for an upcoming canyoneering trip that I was able to get sorted out here. That being said, I wouldn't buy much of my gear here. The prices are higher than what you'll pay on a moosejaw or backcountry. The gear isn't as good either. Sure they carry some arcteryx and Patagonia, but the selection is slim. I don't have much experience with REI branded items but there's no way I'd buy a store brand over Osprey or MSR. Not a bad store, just don't think you're walking into a Patagonia flagship. It's decent, middle of the road stuff for enthusiasts on a budget. Summit-Hut carries better stuff, but REI will do in a pinch.
google avatar

Ben B.

Yelp
I'm an outdoor junkie. I could roam around in REI all day just messing with all the great camping gear. Seriously they would be perfect if they also catered to the hinting and fishing crowd. But I am always willing to toss a couple bucks toward REI for the things I "need". Love the selection and the helpful staff. Everyone is always very knowledgable or willing to get someone who is. Now I just need to decide what to blow my next paycheck on......
google avatar

Terry W.

Yelp
This is an outdoors store. Camping, hiking, plus some other athletic stuff. It's here. They have LOTS of useful stuff for campers and hikers. Packs, sleeping bags, water containers of various types, first aid supplies, and more. Arguably they are a bit over-priced, but their stuff appears to be very good and REI warranties them for life. When you're out in the wilderness you don't want your equipment to fail you. Any money you may have saved becomes irrelevant then. Spend a little extra and get quality. From what I can tell that's what you get at REI. I signed up for their email, and have a 15% coupon for a future purchase. I'm thinking a walking staff that doubles as a camera monopod. Very nifty.

Yelp
I want to thank Matt, Jacob, and all the Names I forgot ( Sorry Sorry Sorry forgive Me !! :) but have help me through the Years!! You guys are amazing!! Thanks for helping My Bikes Stay on the Road w/the correct gear and tools My riding experience has been exhilarating !! You guys should be everyone's Bicycle Pit Stop. I'll Miss You Guys!!

Yelp
Since moving here from Anchorage AK, I was worried that Tucson's REI would be a bit of a step back. While smaller than the AK store everyone is just as knowledgeable and helpful as AK. An extra shout out to the young man that helped us in shoes today!

Ryan T.

Yelp
I picked up 2 online orders at the Tucson store. The cashier opened both packages on the counter, took the contents out with shipping slips and said ok there you go. I asked her for a bag so I wouldn't have to carry loose clothes and shipping slips out of the store. She appeared irritated and said, well you paid for them. Would you like the open package to carry the items out with. I said sure, anything would work. 1) Seems kind of odd that she would open up my package and dump the contents on the cashier counter in front of everyone. Glad I didn't order undergarments. 2) Seems odd that she expected me to carry out loose items from the store without putting them back in some kind of bag. 3) So much for friendly Customer Service. Will take a break from REI shopping for a while. I wonder how Amazon Prime's Kayak selection is? R

Fred H.

Yelp
I ordered three pairs of socks online and the ordering system said they would be ready for pickup at the store at 7:15pm. I don't live near there but I arranged to do another errand that is somewhat on the way beforehand. I arrived at 7:30pm and the counter clerk said it's not ready and I would have to come back tomorrow. She didn't even offer to check on it further. I mean how hard would it be for someone to run upstairs and pull three pairs of socks? It's not as if they were unusually busy (quite the opposite). From now on I will just go to locally owned Summit Hut where the clerks are always helpful and the customer service is far better.

Laughing B.

Yelp
I made an online purchase a few days before the coupon came out. When I went to the store with my receipt the manager said I needed to physically return the item and repurchase. What a waste of gas and time. Certainly not the type of accommodating, environmentally conscientious service expected at REI. Not my favorite REI.
google avatar

Dan E.

Yelp
Member here. With another member. And my wife. They followed us around like were stealing. Overheard. Yeah im with THEM on the radio. Cool. Way cool. I got to rei all over the usa. Always treated like the member i am. Till now. Sad...... unhappyface.. .

Yelp
Great selection of gear and even greater employees. Everyone I've had the pleasure of talking to has been incredibly friendly and helpful. I came in for a complimentary pack fitting today and Stefan was incredibly helpful. He helped me size my pack, mould my hip belt, and answered numerous very detailed questions I had about all sorts of gear and helped me pick out what was right for me.

Paul L.

Yelp
Slow, not helpful, not attentive to customers, staff talking to each other while customers look for help, plus scant selection. Too bad.
google avatar

Rachel G.

Yelp
I used to love REI because the sales people are super friendly and helpful, and generally they really know their stuff. I've always found them enthusiastic but not pushy at all. Recently I have had a couple of negative experiences at this store related to the membership. I use my dad's membership and I'm 23. I'm not sure if that's over the age limit, or if they assume I have my own household now, or what; they won't say. They just very aggressively try to convince me to get a membership, which I politely decline. I guess they are not giving me the perks of shopping there--gift cards, coupons, dividend, etc.--but they also haven't explicitly said this. They're weirdly very rude about it and I walk out feeling like I just stole from them or something. It's very unpleasant and I don't want to shop there anymore. Your $20 is better put towards an Amazon Prime membership.

Katie D.

Yelp
REI has great Covid practices in place to help with social distancing and extra cleaning measures. Each person I came in contact with was super helpful, but Stephen was especially helpful. He spent a lot of time with me going over the different packs I was interested in, fitting them, and packing them with weight so I could try them out in the store. He also had a lot of great insight and tips for the trip I'm taking based off all the other customers he's helped in the past. Then I got a phone call after I left from Lance letting me know I had left my member card at the store. I appreciate everyone going out of there way to be helpful.

Yelp
GO TO SUMMIT HUT INSTEAD! Look I am an REI member. Until this year they were a 5+ store. You could buy something and return it for any reason and if you were unsatisfied, no time limit. Now you have 365 days to become unsatisfied then after that you are on your own. Also now the garage sales suck. If I could quit the co-op and get my $20 back I would in an instant. Summit hut has a very similar return policy and they are local... other than that this place is mega huge, has a decent selection, EVERY THING is sold AT MSRP so unless you find something on clearance you'll be paying full price. considering that they are probably the nations largest non hunting sporting goods store in the US you would expect them to have good deals, or at least a good return policy. AND NOW they have neither.
google avatar

Andy H.

Yelp
Tucson, you're starting to actually yelp things. And now, we even have a local REI. I'm so proud. This store is pretty awesome. Not only did they have the obscure thing that I wanted, they let me bring it back when I realized at home I wanted a different size. Why would they do this? They know that it means I'll be back every time because I know they'll make sure I am satisfied. If they would only put in a artificial river for testing kayaks and other gear, I'd give it 5 stars. That's right REI you are only one excessive water feature away from 5 stars.
google avatar

Jenni K.

Yelp
I like the layout and space of this location. I've found some good deals on sale items like Marmot, North Face and Patagonia. Shout out to employee Stefan. He was SUPER helpful when assisting my friend and I. He's kind and is knowledgeable in all things outdoors. He is very personable and you can tell he enjoys working with customers.

Hondo H.

Yelp
My wife and I were assured by REI Tucson sales associate "Becca" that a special order kayak could be made in person at that store. After driving an extended distance to the store we met another associate and asked for the manager so the order could be made. The manager would not come down but called and informed the associate he would not make the special order in spite of what we were previously told. Since this is the worse customer service we have ever encountered at a REI; we obviously will not come back to this location.
google avatar

Yelp
I should state that I do try to buy local, a lot. I love Summit Hut. I also love REI. Both are different. Both offer me the things I need. I make huge purchases at SH and I also buy from REI. I love both. I am a co-op member of REI and like to purchase things especially with their very cool 20% off coupons and outlet store discounts. I've even attended some REI bike and GPS free. classes. I enjoy browsing REI even if I don't always buy because they have so many goodies. I am an avid outdoors person and the gadgets and trinkets they offer make me want to set up a survival camp in the wild and live off the land- REI can make that possible. They can also just get your water bottles for a day hike or nice clothing for anytime of the season. They have a bike repair service. And REI has an amazing return policy. "REI = Return Everything Indeed." Well no, it doesn't mean that. But if you attend one of the REI yard sales they have, you'll see that they do take back everything and often can turn around and sell it. I bought an REI tent once, was unhappy with the condensation it produced (akin to a sweat bath) and they offered ideas to make it work until I just had it returned, full refund. I find the prices high but manageable if you have a coupon. And the co-op membership means a yearly dividend.. As my outdoor needs increase, I am so glad for so much outdoorsy shops in Tucson to help me with my passion.

Yelp
I have been over to REI 3 times in the last 2 weeks getting ready for my yearly trip abroad, this year Indonesia for 6 weeks or so. It is imperative to pack exactly the right amount and the right stuff because in all my years of going to Asia there are certain things you cannot get there. First is shoes big enough for my feet, 2 mole skin, 3 is my favorite sunscreen. I have run out of all 3 before and never a good experience, that is beside the point, my backpack is just to heavy, It is about 12 years old and a pain to carry even empty it is a impediment to my well being. I went to get a waterproof bag for my smaller backpack, because boats, buses and whatever way I am moving my pack is caught out in the storm. The rainy season in Southeast Asia is tumultuois and I have been through many nasty storms, so when I went into get a new pack cover. Terry helped me at the store, and pointed out a cover is just one more thing to carry. A revelation, she pointed toward the dry-pack I got it, and it weighs almost nothing, It is small and will keep my stuff dry through the storms. As Martha Stewart would say pre-prison and post "This is a good thing".

Yelp
REI member here, also in the military, so I would like to think I don't give off the "I'm here to steal" vibe. Came by with two coworkers, who are also members, to grab snacks and check out some boots. Had a cashier throw a jacket on over their REI vest and start following me around pretending to shop. Every rack I went to he would follow without saying anything. Thought it was weird and maybe just a super slow day. Was asked probably 8 or 9 times in the 20minutes we were there if I needed help finding anything. Either the loss prevention team at this location is garbage, or overly zealous. All in all I think I'll stick to shopping online. Only saving grace was the super polite and helpful cashier Marisa.

Yelp
This is my go to place for pretty much anything. From hiking, camping, to running and cycling they have it all. The selection here is good, and so far the store is still in great shape. I like going here because if there is something you can't find elsewhere, they probably have it (replacement part for my camelback). The selection of items is huge here. The staff is very helpful and I love to just walk through the entire store looking at all the fun stuff. If you are need of anything for the outdoors, this is the place to go.
