Google
The most dank fries in the Netherlands. A must try!! It’s like a little beef fat a potato fairy came and blessed me with these amazing fries.

Google
Delicious!! They have many type of French but on of my favourite is their french fries with their mayonaise. Really appreciate and yummy. There is a bit of a line to go through but it is very fast.

Google
Best fries place in Maastricht! Get the Mayonnaise with them ;-)

I came during rush hour so I was worried I might be waiting a long time but these guys work through a queue at lightning speed. McDonald's got nothing on these guys with how fast they work. The food was great too, I went here because I saw on reddit it was the best spot to get the local specialty, fries loaded with "Zuurvlees" and I was not disappointed! It really is takeout only though, you'll have to find a spot to sit and eat nearby because there's no place to sit here.

Was passing through and noticed these huge cones of French fries, so I just had to get some. The fries were warm and crispy, they fill the cones to the brim and gave a generous amount of sauce. I recommend the trufflemayo one! Not too salty or overpowering. The price is a bit expensive for fries, but the portion makes up for it! Totally recommend. (Side note, they only accept cash or debit card, no credit cards allowed)

Google
Reitz in Maastricht passable experience for french fries. Be prepared to join a lengthy lineup, although it surprisingly moves relatively quickly, so the wait isn't too agonizing. You'll find yourself faced with an abundance of fries that lack any distinct flavor, save for the truffle mayonnaise not generously provided on top. While the fries themselves may not excite the taste buds, the creamy truffle mayo adds a much-needed boost of flavor to an otherwise mundane dish. Overall, Reitz provides a satisfactory dining option for those seeking a quick bite, but don't expect any culinary fireworks. My photo looks better then it actually was. Google
Best fries!!! So many sauces to choose from. Our favourite is the special sauce, it's sweet but light with crunchy bits of onions.

Google
Nice place to get a corn of fries the big one costs 6,5 eur and you have a large choice of toppings, I took the truffle mayonnaise which I highly recommend for truffle lovers. The queu line is long but moves relatively quickly

Yelp
Amazing frites w/mayo. the wait in line (mostly locals) is worth it. Trust me, Dutch mayo is on a different level-nothing like Kraft or Hellman's crap we have in US. Living close to this place was dangerous, I would force myself to take different routes to avoid divulging my weakness. Please visit this place and order, it is super easy. Even if just for a photo-op. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Yelp
If you like fries ...they got fries! Not bad. Definitely worth the wait in line (it moves pretty fast, have your cash ready). I got myself the special (mayo, curry, onions). It was good. Small will satisfy 95% of people. Large is great for sharing but honestly a small is great for sharing if you are looking for something to hold you over till your next meal. I am a big fan of Dutch Mayo! Wish they had some benches for sitting.

Yelp
I'm still in a food coma from my first visit to Frituur Reitz. I've been wanting to try this place for a while now, but I either didn't have any cash (cash only), the line was too long, or the Corona virus had public life stand still. So it wasn't until my last week in Maastricht that I got to try their fries, and man, I wish I'd stopped by earlier. I ordered large fries speciaal, because at all the other places I've been to the small portion size didn't keep me full. But be aware, when you order large at Reitz, you get a huuuuge portion. They were very non-judgmental about it though, even as I refused the second fork. The portion size is totally worth the 5€ I spent, and the fries are decent. I don't think they are the best I've ever had, because they were a little too soft for my liking, but I think you should give it a try, if you're in the area and see for yourself.

Yelp
Very nice. You can tell this is a popular place, the queue stretches for quite a bit but it usually goes rather quick. Food is standard Frituur fare, so expect a lot of deep fried goodness which is fantastic for a night on the town...or a day of enjoying the great beers this area has to offer. My bag of chips was huge, topped with Zuurvlees. Nothing wrong with that, however I thought it lacked a bit of taste on the Zuurvlees side of things. Chips were great though. Recommended!

Yelp
We saw a huge line up at this restaurant/fried food shop and decided to wait in line to try their legendary fries. Unfortunately it was anything but legendary and I was slightly disappointed. After having heard from many of our Dutch friends about how legendary fries are in the Netherlands I was hoping to be amazed by this place. The wait was over 20 mins and whilst the fries were freshly made it tasted a bit too dry for my liking. I don't see any reason to wait in line for this place. I am sure there are better places in town for good fries and other items.

Yelp
Very good fries! The mayo and curry ketchup is an awesome combination, as the curry ketchup is a bit sweet and totally worth it. A better snack than meal but a large should be enough to share. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Fries are okay, not really flavorful but there are many sauces to choose from. However the fries get soggy very soon because they pour the sauce on the fries. It's nice to share with someone because it'll fill you up if you get your own. Con: Can't sit inside if you only get fries.

Yelp
The fact that there are no Dutch reviews on Yelp for this place should have been a sign that things were not going to go well... The fries were terrible, one of the worst I've ever had from a frites stall and this is why I thought that: - good fries should be crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, these were just soft and soggy - without the sauce, the fries had no taste; usually there is still some taste, usually the taste of potatoes - we had the oorlog saus (peanut and mayo) and they were okay, I found the mayo to be flavorless and really watery On the other hand, I was impressed by the amount of fries and sauce you got for the price but it was so bad I was tempted to throw the rest away. Ironically, we had better fries at an Italian restaurant later that night. I'll stick to my Vleminckx in Amsterdam - thank you.

Yelp
If you're hungry then this really isn't a meal but a snack. However, it's a damn good one. Try the sate sauce (peanut) or the traditional vleesauce (horse) if you want something a bit heavier.

Yelp
This friture is phenomenal! They have some of the best belgian fries in the region. For those Dutchies from the North, don't expect fritesaus, they only do rich, fatty mayonaise!

Yelp
You will be hard-pressed to ever have a better french fry in your entire life. Select from a multitude of sauces and stews (rabbit stew, goulash jut to name a couple) to top your massive cone of fries.

Leo A.

Yelp
What you should order: Fries with "zuurvlees" and mayo. Zuurvlees looks like the in North America welknown Poutine, but has a complete different taste. LOVE IT!! You might also wanna try the Frites speciaal: fries, mayo, curry and onions. Sounds strange but is soooo good. A snack to go with your fries? Frikandel speciaal; again mayo, curry and onions. Eat your food under the eyes of the Mooswief(statue by the fountain) or on the steps of City Hall on the Market Square. People from all over the world stand in line here; that says it all.

Yelp
A absolutely famous restaurant at the "old market" in Maastricht, a town with French and Spanish influence. A must to visit all the old buildings some even from around 1400, the old churches and Cathedrals, the statues and ofcoarse the famous terrasses to be found everywhere in the town. Have a look at the amazing architecture in the town-centre a project of Mr Leers the mayor of the town, he has done a fabulous job and as the people of Maastricht say: "chapeau". Just visit the Vrijthof or Onze Lieve Vrouwe plein with the old basilique, go after six o'clock and taste the atmosphere. The "frituur" has some specialities as "zoervleis", Goulash and Mussels. Try a large portion of genuine home made chips with zoervleis and rolmops-mayonaise and take a portion of the famous "zeeuwse" mussels, a meal on his own, the taste: never to forget. Try also a genuine Brand beer the famous one from the south of Holland. Just enjoy your day. Opposite the markt-friture you find van Leendert, the fishmonger, try their raw-haring with onions and have a look how the locals eat it, the best their is. On Friday a huge farmers market with specials as vegetables, fruit and fish, attracting people from Belgium, Germany and even from France. Maastricht has a mixed community with a own dialect and even with a Japanese university. Worth to visit, indulge yourself and take a weekend break in one of the smaller hotels; service, good food and friendly hosts. You will make new friends.

Yelp
Been coming here since 1960 !!! the absolute best fries in Maastricht. Easy to find. Good sides.....but the best is the fritesaus (special mayo for fries)
