A really great team at Rekero Camp. We stayed here for three nights beginning of February and had an amazing time. Wildlife is always our priority and Jackson did a great guiding job. Always had the right feeling for place and time. The food was fantastic and the whole team did an amazing job. All the pictures I added were taken during our stay.

The staff is so friendly, helpful, and professional. This is by far the best camp we’ve stayed at within the Asilia properties. The decor and setting is modern and “Instagramable” for sure! Food and sundowners are high quality. We saw a ton of lions, cheetahs, and even a leopard. Ask for tent #6 and Saruni as your guide and you’ll be set!

Cannot praise this place enough. The position on the Talek river is phenomenal. The sound is amazing and soothing. The hippos and crocs are mesmerising. The camp is exquisite. The bathroom is perfect. Yes!!!! Doors on the bathroom. The staff, managed by Mags and Ange, are perfect. They are the most efficient and kindly gentlemen. Livingston, our guide, was amazing. Not only brilliant at his profession but with a cheeky sense of humour that was greatly appreciated. Food, well, again exquisite. Chef is a culinary artist. Safety is taken very seriously here. Hence, all guests are accompanied to their tents after dark. I cannot praise the establishment and staff enough

I was honestly so impressed by this camp. It is in an absolutely stunning location, right on the river with the camp built beautifully and designed so well so you have privacy in your tent. The team were incredible, managing staff made you feel so at home and welcome, the service was amazing and our guide, Karia, was so knowledgeable and just made our trip even more special. Can’t wait to get back.

Pros:|- Beautiful accommodations, right along the river||- In a quieter part of the park so we often had many sightings all to ourselves||- Some amazing guides (Saruni in particular was the best guide we’ve ever had, and we’ve been on many safaris) with great wildlife viewing||Cons:|- We were served an identical lunch from a nearby Asilia camp that we were at the day prior, and a similar dinner. Neither were as good as the other camp. The menu was also disjointed (including some cold bolognese with nothing for the bolognese to go with, after requesting mashed potatoes as a side it came on top of the spaghetti, etc). Buffets were provided for all dinners (at all other camps we had served meals with menus for dinner). Drinks came after we were done with the meal. Small nit: instead of a salt shaker, salt was in a little container with a spoon and clumped, making it impossible to dispense||- Non-guests were hanging out in the main guest area, including a couple of airline pilots and friends/family with kids||- The staff was overbearing. We shook a million hands at the welcoming and were asked for our names repeatedly. One guard picked up and held hands with our young daughter several times. The staff hovered during meals and swooped in to clear plates, even when we weren’t done. We requested dinner at a specific time since we had hungry kids but were forced to socialize by the fire for 30 mins before eating

We got to see almost every animal we were hoping for and got great pictures of them all as well. The staff has top-notch service and the rooms were very clean and comfortable as well. Couldn’t have asked for a better trip!

Highly recommend this fabulous spot! The service was outstanding, the accommodation private and luxurious, and the game drives phenomenal- lions, leopards, and cheetah in the first 24 hours of arriving! Thank you to the team at Rekero, we will definitely be back!

Rekero Camp was absolutely fantastic. We went there on honeymoon and it was perfect. The tents were very well fitted out and incredibly we never had a single bug inside. They dealt with mine and my partner's dietary requirements excellently which is a huge plus when travelling. Special mention to Francis our guide who found us a leopard (a lifelong wish). Also shout out to Chris, Timothy and Moses (although everyone was fantastic). We would not hesitate to return.
