"This wonderful property comprising a manor house and outbuildings enjoys a quiet location and has a harmonious, tasteful interior – also an ideal venue for weddings and events. To unwind: attractive sauna area and lovely grounds. In addition, this address is a very good starting point for trips on the River Peene." - Tablet Hotels

Beautiful well kept property & grounds on the river. Very friendly staff apart from the porter on arrival, not particularly helpful. Bedroom was quite tight with all the furniture in it. Small mini bar with water, cokes & 1 beer.|Turn down was literally pulling curtains and leaving a chocolate. No fresh towels or bins emptied. Other hotels of this standard provided much more indebt service.|Breakfast was excellent with eggs cooked to order.|Unfortunately the One Michelin restaurant was not open due to staffing difficulties so we ate in the hotels restaurant both nights, which offered fine dinning experience. Dishes were well presented, extremely flavoursome & excellently served. There is another more rustic restaurant by the river which we hope to try on another visit.|The grounds, terraces & out door pool areas where beautifully kept.

Amazing! From the moment we arrived and drove up the tree lined driveway up to the main building we were impressed. The property is stunning and very well maintained. A beautiful bucolic escape from every day life. Friendly staff is helpful, professional and always smiling. Delicious food options with plenty of options at breakfast and gourmet, award winning, high culinary delights for dinner. We had 3 generations enjoying the modern spa, the clean, saltwater pool and the quiet outdoor park-like sitting areas. We swam, boated and dinner on the river. Such a tranquil and relaxing adventure. Highly recommend this hotel for a birthday celebration or for a weekend escape. Everything about this vacation was a glow up from our COVID-19 2020 experience!

Gutshaus Stolpe is a sublime country estate evidently once the centre of life for the village tucked into its midst. The long cobblestone drive cuts through fields of grass with farm buildings beyond. The grounds feature access to the river, a working historic blacksmith shop, a relaxed restaurant with amazing German/French food and a saltwater pool with an adjacent patio. The hotel itself is reminiscent of a Georgian mansion, in nice contrast, to the exquisite stone and brick farm buildings. It features a lovely informal bar and a Michelin star restaurant that somehow manages to elevate and deliver one of our best ever dining experiences. The maître’d Jan Lederer was exquisite in his description of the food, wine pairings and the history of the grounds - all mixed with an incredibly dry and well timed good humour. What a great way to spend thanksgiving! The personal touch: a printed out „Goodnight“ short story on the bedside table.

Gutshaus Stolpe is everything expected for a 5 star hotel and more. Our stay was indeed fantastic, with superb service, comfortable room and food to die for. I cannot compliment the staff enough, as they were friendly and charming. The grounds were beautiful and immaculately kept. Although we did not have tea or coffee facilities in the room, our bride had arranged a tea station for her Scottish visitors, which was well used. What else can I say: Perfect

In a rural country side by River Peene, this wonderful hotel is perfectly situated for a relaxed stay. You are being pampered from the very first moment you cross the doorstep. Beautiful ambient inside the buildings and not least in the surrounding park. ||The choice of kitchen is likewise close to perfect, whether the Stolpe Fährkrug og the in house restaurant is chosen.

The manor is just the right bit out of the way, but nevertheless perfectly integrated into the hamlet of Stolpe,on the romantic Peene and located in an impressive parc. In the house one feels immediately well received and welcome. We did not miss anything, which we would expect to find during a stay with wealthy friends. The rooms are spacious and furnished with taste, the service in the lounge and restaurant obliging, at dinner sometimes slow, but very personal. This makes the charm and character of the Gutshof Stolpe. We have been there twice and will certainly come back many more times

First of all, the whole estate is truly wonderful, well maintained, and a great base to explore the surrounding areas. It is as good as you would expect it to be. As for amenities, like the sauna, it is surprising to find that they come as an extra given the price tag you already pay for your room. Something which definitely can ruin your stay is the service, or the lack thereof. While some members of the staff are absolutely top-notch, others lack basic skills in hospitality. At dinner, for instance, the maitre is highly engaged in explaining food and wine pairing, whereas another assistant waiter serves a course without saying a single word about the dish you are going to eat. At breakfast, we mostly got served by a waitress who would be qualified for any five star hotel, but there were also waiters who couldn't get a single order right. Those small things sum up quickly during your stay and feel not appropriate to the standard the hotel wants to set.

The hotel is old and has no elevator. The room was dirty, a lot of dust lot of spiders. Towels were torn, the hairdryer was covered with dust, the balcony was dirty, not cozy as photos say. The room was dark, doesn't match the photos. The only restaurant is far from Michelin and they have the same small menu for lunch and dinner. The food was tasty, but not something special, very simple. We were only one who didn't get the bread, though all German speaking people got it. The sommelier was terrible, no good manners and bad conversation. He didn't let us try the wine, just splashed it into the glass. It seemed that there were some discrimination because we don't speak German. We didn't expect it from Relais & Châteaux. Cannot recommend, will never come back.
